| 1 | Selective laser melting of bulk immiscible alloy with enhanced strength:Heterogeneous microstructure and deformation mechanisms显示文摘To overcome the dimension limits of immiscible alloys produced by traditional techniques and enhance their mechanical properties,bulk Cu-Fe-based immiscible alloy with abundant nanotwins and stacking faults was successfully produced by selective laser melting(SLM).The SLM-produced bulk immiscible alloy displays a heterogeneous microstructure characterized by micro-scaledγ-Fe particles dispersed in fineε-Cu matrix with a high fraction(~92%)of high-angle grain boundaries.Interestingly,abundant nanotwins and stacking faults are generated in the interior of nano-scaledγ-Fe particles embedded withinε-Cu matrix.The heterogeneous interface of soft domains(ε-Cu)and hard domains(γ-Fe)not only induces the geometrically necessary dislocations(GNDs)but also affects the dislocation propagation during plastic deformation.Therefore,the bimodal heterogeneous interface,and the resistance of nanotwins and stacking faults to the propagation of partial dislocation make the bulk immiscible alloy exhibit an enhanced strength of~590 MPa and a good ductility of~8.9%. | Shengfeng Zhou Min Xie Changyi Wu Yanliang Yi Dongchu Chen Lai-Chang Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9: | 3 |
| 2 | Effects of nano-pore system characteristics on CH4 adsorption capacity in anthracite显示文摘This study aims to determine the effects of nanoscale pores system characteristics on CH4 adsorption capacity in anthracite.A total of 24 coal samples from the southern Sichuan Basin,China,were examined systemically using coal maceral analysis,vitrinite reflectance tests, proximate analysis,ultimate analysis,low-temperature N2 adsorption-desorption experiments,nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)analysis,and CH4 isotherm adsorption experiments.Results show that nano-pores are divided into four types on the basis of pore size ranges:super micropores (<4 nm),micropores (4-10 nm),mesopores (10-100 nm),and macropores (>100 nm).Super micropores,micropores,and mesopores make up the bulk of coal porosity,providing extremely large adsorption space with large intemal surface area.This leads us to the conclusion that the threshold of pore diameter between adsorption pores and seepage pores is 100 nm.The 'ink bottle'pores have the largest CH4 adsorption capacity, followed by semi-opened pores,whereas opened pores have the smallest CH4 adsorption capacity which indicates that anthracite pores with more irregular shapes possess higher CH4 adsorption capacity.CH4 adsorption capacity increased with the increase in NMR porosity and the bound water saturation.Moreover,CH4 adsorption capacity is positively correlated with NMR permeability when NMR permeability is less than 8 ×10^-3 md.By contrast,the two factors are negatively correlated when NMR permeability is greater than 8 × 10^-3 md. | Chang'an SHAN Tingshan ZHANG Xing LIANG Dongchu SHU Zhao ZHANG Xiangfeng WEI Kun ZHANG Xuliang FENG Haihua ZHU Shengtao WANG Yue CHEN | 2019 | Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1: | 2 |

| 5 | 自体CIK细胞联合XELOX化疗治疗晚期结直肠癌的随机对照研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of autologous cytokine-induced killer(CIK) cells transfusion combined with chemotherapy in patients suffered from advanced colorectal cancer. Methods: Sixty untreated patients with advanced colorectal cancer were randomly divided into two groups. The 30 patients in the control group received chemotherapy with the regimen of xeloda plus oxiplatin(XELOX). The 30 patients in the trial group were treated with chemotherapy(XELOX) in combination with autologous CIK cell transfusion. T-lymphocyte subgroups were separated and measured by flow cytometry quality of life(QOL) was determined by EORTC QLQ-C30. The short-term curative effect was evaluated via imaging examinations. The patients' median progression free survival time was estimated by Kaplan-Meier. Results: The T-lymphocyte immune activity was improved in patients received autologous CIK cell transfusion than those treated with chemotherapy alone.The subgroup of CD3+CD56+T lymphocyte was significantly increased(4.28 ± 0.45 vs 10.14 ± 1.02, P = 0.01). Short-term efficacy evaluation revealed that there was no significant difference in terms of objective response rate(ORR) between the two groups, but the disease control rate(DCR) was markedly increased(86.7% vs 56.7%, P = 0.020) in the group treated by chemotherapy plus CIK cells compared to the group treated with chemotherapy alone. The progression free survival time was 8.64 months( 95% CI 6.25-9.75 months) in control group and 10.15 months( 95% CI 7.48-12.52 months) in trial group.Compared to patients in control group, the patients in trial group had significantly longer progression-free survival(P = 0.046).The QOL assessment suggested the QOL in trial group was obviously improved than that in the control group. Compared with the control group, patients treated with autologous CIK cell transfusion scored more in the area of physical function and general health status, while the symptomatic scores in terms of pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting and diarrhea were significantly reduced. | 6 | Thrombopoietin induced proliferation and differentiation of fetal liver CD34^+ cells with phenotype change from hemopoiesis to neurogenesis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies have reported a neurotrophin-like motif in the N-terminal receptor binding region of the thrombopoietin (TPO) molecule, and have described localization of TPO and TPO receptor in the brain. Therefore, it is believed that TPO may be involved in regulation of neurogenesis. OBJECTIVE: To validate the effect of TPO on trans-differentiation, or differentiation from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to neural stem cells (NSCs). DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Comparative studies were performed from March 2004 to April 2007 at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Northern Hospital, and the Department of Immunology, Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS: Human fetal liver (FL) was obtained from fetuses after water-balloon abortion. Gestational age ranged from 16 to 20 weeks. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board and Ethics Committee of the Northern Hospital. TPO was kindly provided by Genentech Inc (USA). Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium (IMDM) and neurobasalTM medium were purchased from Invitrogen (USA). MACS CD34 multisort kit was purchased from Miltenyi Biotec (Germany). METHODS: CD34+ cells were isolated from human FL mononuclear cells using MACS CD34 multisort kit and cultured at 1 × 105/mL in IMDM, containing TPO for 60 days with weekly changes of half of the medium. After culturing for 30 and 60 days, the TPO-induced cells were resuspended in neurobasalTM medium containing 10% fetal brain extracts and plated in an 8-well BIOCOAT poly-D-Lysine Culture Slide and cul- tured for another 7 days. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Cell number, viability, phenotype and expression of hemopoiesis-related and neurogenesis-related proteins were examined by trypan blue exclusion with hemocytometer, immunoblot, immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry. RESULTS: After 60 days of induction with TPO, the cell number increased by 4.6-fold compared to the ini- tial culture. Although the proportion of the cells expressing the hemopoietic stem cell associated antigen (CD34) decreased steadily, both proportions of the cultured FL-derived CD34+ cells expressing CD41a and CD61 remained unchanged, which still accounted for 10%. Noticeably, the proportions of the cells express- ing nestin and epidermal growth factor receptor increased significantly (both > 50%), whereas the expression of more mature neural or glial proteins [microtubule-associated protein-2 (MAP2), glial fibrillary acidic pro- tein (GFAP), oligodendrocyte marker O4 (O4)] markers on the cultured fetal liver derived-CD34+ cells were at lower levels. After another 7 days incubation in neurobasal? medium, these TPO-induced cells formed neurospheres, which were labeled with nestin, and differentiated into cells with morphological characteristics of neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, which were labeled with MAP-2, GFAP, and O4, respectively. Herein, one ultralow-temperature solution reduction approach is developed to anchor atomically dispersed Pt atoms on carbon nanotubes(Pt-CNTs), which decelerates the diffusion rate of Pt Cl2-6 ion reached onto the carbon nanotubes and lowers the free energy of Pt atoms in the solution to reduce the probability of the Pt aggregation. The obtained Pt-CNTs exhibits a low overpotential of 41 mV@10 mA cm^(-2) for HER in acidic media. The calculation results revealed that the improvement of the electrocatalytic activity is contributed by the interaction between CNTs and Pt atoms, which descreases the the Pt d band cneter referred to the Fermi level and lowers the Gibbs free energy of H*adsorption. | 13 | Effect of dendritic cell/cytokine-induced killer cell immunobiological cancer therapy combined with adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Objective The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of dendritic cell(DC)/cytokine-induced killer cell(CIK) immunobiological cancer therapy in patients with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) who underwent adjuvant chemotherapy. Methods From January 2010 to October 2013, 120 patients with postoperative TNBC were recruited and included in the study. Patients were enrolled in one of two groups according to whether they accepted DC/CIK immunobiological cancer therapy during adjuvant chemotherapy; the patients in the DC/CIK group underwent adjuvant chemotherapy combined with DC/CIK immunobiological cancer therapy, and the control group underwent adjuvant chemotherapy alone. When six cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy and six cycles of DC/CIK immunobiological cancer therapy had been completed, differences between the two groups with regard to quality of life(Qo L), immunological indicators(CD3, CD4, CD8, and NK cell levels), disease-free survival(DFS), and side effects of chemotherapy and DC/CIK treatment were evaluated.Results In the DC/CIK group, the proportion of NK cells and CD3+ and CD4+ T-cell subgroups significantly increased, and the proportion of CD8+ cells decreased when they were compared before and after DC/CIK therapy(P < 0.05). However, there were no significant changes in the control group. By the final follow-up, DFS of the treatment group and the control group was 38.4 and 34.2 months, respectively. The Qo L improved in the patients treated with chemotherapy plus DC/CIK therapy compared with the patients treated with chemotherapy alone, and the difference between groups was significant(P < 0.05). The side effects of two groups were tolerable and not significantly different between the two groups.Conclusion The DC/CIK treatment had potential benefits for patients with TNBC compared with the control group, and was not associated with any obvious side effects. As a result, the performance of clutter suppression by Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) degrades greatly because of the clutter range dependence. To deal with this problem, a new compensated method is proposed in this paper. The method rebuilds the clutter covariance matrix based on spatial high resolution Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) spectrum, and then finds a matrix to transform the covariance matrix of short-range gate to the referred far-range gate.
