2Paleogene Tectonic Evolution Controls on Sequence Stratigraphic Patterns in the Central Part of Deepwater Area of Qiongdongnan Basin, Northern South China Sea显示文摘In active rift basins, tectonism is extremely important for sequence stratigraphic patterns, affecting both the sequence architecture and internal makeup. Sequence stratigraphic framework of a Paleogene rift succession in Qiongdongnan Basin, northern South China Sea, was built using seismic profiles, complemented by well logs and cores. One first-order and three second-order sequences were identified on the basis of basin-scale unconformities, and seven third-order sequences are defined by unconformities along the basin margins and correlative conformities within the central basin. Through unconformity analysis and backstripping procedure, the Paleogene synrift tectonic evolution of deepwater area of Qiongdongnan Basin was proved to be episodic, which can be divided into rifting stage-I, rifting stage-II and rifting stage-III. Episodic rifting resulted in the formation of various types of structural slope break belts, which controlled different architectures and internal makeup of sequences. 3Statistical scenarios forecasting method for wind power ramp events using modified neural networks显示文摘Wind power ramp events increasingly affect the integration of wind power and cause more and more problems to the safety of power grid operation in recent years.Several forecasting techniques for wind power ramp events have been reported.In this paper,the statistical scenarios forecasting method is proposed for wind power ramp event probabilistic forecasting based on the probability generating model.Multi-objective fitness functions are established considering cumulative density functions and higher order moment autocorrelation functions with respect to the consistency of distribution and timing characteristics,respectively.Parameters of probability generating model are calculated by the iterative optimization using the modified genetic algorithm with multi-objective fitness functions.A number of statistical scenarios captured bands are generated accordingly.Eventually,ramp event probability characteristics are detected from scenarios captured bands to evaluate the ramp event forecasting method.A wind plant of Bonneville Power Administration with actual wind power data is selected for calculation and statistical analysis.It is shown that statistical results with multi-objective functions are more accurate than the results with single objective functions.Moreover,the statistical scenarios forecasting method can accurately estimate the characteristics of wind power ramp events.The results verify that the proposed method can guide the generation method of statistical scenarios and forecasting models for ramp events.Mingjian CUI Deping KE Di GAN Yuanzhang SUN 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,3:13
4Commissioning progress of the FAST显示文摘The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) was completed with its main structure installed on September 25, 2016, after which it entered the commissioning phase. This paper aims to introduce the commissioning progress of the FAST over the past two years. To improve its operational reliability and ensure effective observation time, FAST has been equipped with a real-time information system for the active reflector system and hierarchical commissioning scheme for the feed support system, which ultimately achieves safe operation of the two systems. For meeting the high-performance indices, a highprecision measurement system was set up based on the effective control methods that were implemented for the active reflector system and feed support system. Since the commissioning of the FAST, a low-frequency ultra-wideband receiver and 19-beam1.05-1.45 GHz receiver have been mainly used. Telescope efficiency, pointing accuracy, and system noise temperature were completely tested and ultimately achieved the acceptance indices of the telescope. The FAST has been in the process of national acceptance preparations and has begun to search for pulsars. 5A de novo Genome of a Chinese Radish Cultivar显示文摘Here, we report a high-quality draft genome of a Chinese radish(Raphanus sativus) cultivar. This draft contains 387.73 Mb of assembled scaffolds, 83.93% of the scaffolds were anchored onto nine pseudochromosomes and 95.09% of 43 240 protein-coding genes were functionally annotated. 184.75 Mb(47.65%) of repeat sequences was identified in the assembled genome. By comparative analyses of the radish genome against 10 other plant genomes, 2 275 genes in 780 gene families were found unique to R. sativus. 6Simulated Microgravity Conditions and Carbon Ion Irradiation Induce Spermatogenic Cell Apoptosis and Sperm DNA Damage显示文摘Objective To investigate the effect of simulated microgravity and carbon ion irradiation(CIR) on spermatogenic cell apoptosis and sperm DNA damage to the testis of male Swiss Webster mice,and assess the risk associated with space environment.Methods Sperm DNA damage indicated by DNA fragmentation index(DFI) and high DNA stainability(HDS) was measured by sperm chromatin structure assay(SCSA).Apoptosis of spermatogenic cells was detected by annexin V-propidium iodide assay.Bax(the expression levels of p53) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) were measured by immunoblotting;p53 and PCNA were located by immunohistology.Results HDS,DFI,apoptosis index,and the expression levels of p53 and Bax were detected to be significantly higher in the experimental groups(P<0.05) compared with those in the control group;however,the PCNA expression varied to a certain degree.p53-and PCNA-positive expression were detected in each group,mainly in relation to the spermatogonic cells and spermatocytes.Conclusion The findings of the present study demonstrated that simulated microgravity and CIR can induce spermatogenic cell apoptosis and sperm DNA damage.Sperm DNA damage may be one of the underlying mechanisms behind male fertility decline under space environment.These findings may provide a scientific basis for protecting astronauts and space traveler's health and safety.LI Hong Yan ZHANG Hong MIAO Guo Ying XIE Yi SUN Chao DI Cui Xia LIU Yang LIU Yuan Yuan ZHANG Xin MA Xiao Fei XU Shuai GAN Lu ZHOU Xin 2013Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2013,26,9:10

9Effect of a transverse plasma jet on a shock wave induced by a ramp显示文摘We conducted experiments in a wind tunnel with Mach number 2 to explore the evolution of a transverse plasma jet and its modification effect on a shock wave induced by a ramp with an angle of 24°. The transverse plasma jet was created by arc discharge in a small cylindrical cavity with a 2 mm diameter orifice. Three group tests with different actuator arrangements in the spanwise or streamwise direction upstream from the ramp were respectively studied to compare their disturbances to the shock wave. As shown by a time-resolved schlieren system, an unsteady motion of the shock wave by actuation was found: the shock wave was significantly modified by the plasma jet with an upstream motion and a reduced angle. Compared to spanwise actuation, a more intensive impact was obtained with two or three streamwise actuators working together. From shock wave structures, the control effect of the plasma jet on the shock motion based on a thermal effect, a potential cause of shock modification, was discussed. Furthermore, we performed a numerical simulation by using the Improved Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation(IDDES) method to simulate the evolution of the transverse plasma jet plume produced by two streamwise actuators. The results show that flow structures are similar to those identified in schlieren images. 11Timing the termination of the Doushantuo negative carbon isotope excursion: evidence from U-Pb ages from the Dengying and Liuchapo formations,South China显示文摘The Doushantuo negative carbon isotope excursion(DOUNCE) is the largest known marine inorganic carbon isotope anomaly. The origin of this pronounced negative excursion is still an enigmatic issue that attracts geologists. Time constraints on the excursion are the critical information that would provide insight into its genesis. In previous decades, the timing of its termination has been constrained by the widely cited zircon U-Pb age of 550.5 ± 0.8 Ma for the tuff at the top of the Miaohe Member at the Jiuqunao section in the Yangtze Gorges area, South China. However, results of recent studies indicate that the reliability of this time constraint needs to be re-evaluated. Here, a geochronological study was carried out using two K-bentonites from Fanglong in South China. A K-bentonite in the lower Dengying Formation yielded a U-Pb age of 557 ± 3 Ma, while a K-bentonite in the basal Liuchapo Formation yielded an age of 550 ± 3 Ma. Based on regional correlations between the Ediacaran successions in South China,the age(557 ± 3 Ma) for the K-bentonite in the lower Dengying Formation may serve as a second critical timing constraint for the ending of the DOUNCE. 12The fundamental performance of FAST with 19-beam receiver at L band显示文摘The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) has passed national acceptance and finished one pilot cycle of ‘Shared-Risk’ observations. It will start formal operation soon. In this context, this paper describes testing results of key fundamental parameters for FAST, aiming to provide basic support for observation and data reduction of FAST for scientific researchers. The 19-beam receiver covering 1.05–1.45 GHz was utilized for most of these observations. The fluctuation in electronic gain of the system is better than 1% over 3.5 hours, enabling enough stability for observations. Pointing accuracy,aperture efficiency and system temperature are three key parameters for FAST. The measured standard deviation of pointing accuracy is 7.9′′, which satisfies the initial design of FAST. When zenith angle is less than 26.4°, the aperture efficiency and system temperature around 1.4 GHz are ~0.63 and less than 24 K for central beam, respectively. The sensitivity and stability of the 19-beam backend are confirmed to satisfy expectation by spectral HI observations toward NGC 672 and polarization observations toward 3 C 286. 16Silicone elastomer gel impregnated with 20(S)-protopanaxadiol-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers for ordered diabetic ulcer recovery显示文摘Inefficient diabetic ulcer healing and scar formation remain a challenge worldwide,owing to a series of disordered and dynamic biological events that occur during the process of healing.A functional wound dressing that is capable of promoting ordered diabetic wound recovery is eagerly anticipated.In this study,we designed a silicone elastomer with embedded 20(S)-protopanaxadiol-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers(PPD-NS)to achieve ordered recovery in scarless diabetic ulcer healing.The nanostructured lipid carriers were prepared through an emulsion evaporation-solidification method and then incorporated into a network of silicone elastomer to form a unique nanostructured lipid carrier-enriched gel formulation.Interestingly,the PPD-NS showed excellent in vitro anti-inflammatory and proangiogenic activity.Moreover,in diabetic mice with full-thickness skin excision wound,treatment with PPD-NS significantly promoted in vivo scarless wound healing through suppressing inflammatory infiltration in the inflammatory phase,promoting angiogenesis during the proliferation phase,and regulating collagen deposition in the remodeling phase.Hence,this study demonstrates that the developed PPD-NS could facilitate ordered diabetic wound recovery via multifunctional improvement during different wound-healing phases.This novel approach could be promising for scarless diabetic wound healing.Di Sun Shi-yan Guo Li Yang Ya-ru Wang Xiao-hui Wei Sha Song Yi-wei Yang Yong Gan Zheng-tao Wang 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,1:3
17Exosomes derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells reduce tendon injuries via the miR-27b-3p/ ARHGAP5/RhoA signaling pathway显示文摘Tendon injuries are common clinical issues resulted from tissue overuse and age-related degeneration.Previous sutdies have suggested that exosomes secreted by mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)contribute to tissue injury repair.Here,we provide evidence for a critical role of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell(hucMSC)-derived exosomes in reducing tendon injury by activating the RhoA signaling.Treatment of primary injured tenocytes with hucMSC exosomes increases cell proliferation and invasion,which correlates with increased RhoA activity.RhoA mediates the effects of hucMSC exosomes,as treatment of primary injured tenocytes with the RhoA inhibitor,CCG-1423,abolishes the effects of hucMSC exosomes on cell proliferation and invasion.Mechanistically,we observe that hucMSC exosomes induce the expression of a microRNA,miR-27b-3p,which targets and suppresses ARHGAP5,a negative regulator of RhoA.Consistent with this observation,ARHGAP5 overexpression suppresses the effects of hucMSC exosomes on cell proliferation and invasion,while knockdown of ARHGAP5 rescues these effects.Finally,we demonstrate the functional significance of our findings in vivo using an Achilles tendon injury model and show that treatment with exosomes reduces tendon injury in rats,which correlates with increased RhoA activity and reduced ARHGAP5 expression.Taken together,our findings highlight a critical role of hucMSC exosomes in reducing tendon injury via miR-27b-3p-mediated suppression of ARHGAP5,resulting in RhoA activation,and leading to increased cell proliferation and invasion of primary injured tenocytes.Qinghui Han Shuguang Wang Dawei Chen Di Gan Tao Wang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,2:2

20Effect of Water Chestnut Powder on Gel Properties of Silver Carp Surimi显示文摘[Objectives]The effects of water chestnut powder on the gel properties and quality of silver carp surimi were investigated.[Methods]The surimi gel was prepared by adding 0%,1%,2%,3%,4%and 5%of water chestnut powder to the surimi of silver carp.The gel properties,water-holding capacity,cooking loss,whiteness value,puncture and texture profile analysis(TPA)indexes of surimi products were determined to assess the effects of adding different amounts of water chestnut powder on surimi gel.[Results]The results showed that the gel strength,breaking force and depression distance of surimi products increased first and then decreased with the increase of the addition of water chestnut powder.Compared with the control group,the hardness and chewiness of surimi gel in TPA could be significantly improved by adding water chestnut powder.When the addition of water chestnut powder was 2%,the maximum water-holding capacity was 83.68%;the cooking loss rate was the lowest;and the whiteness value was the highest.Adding 2%of water chestnut powder could significantly improve the gel properties of silver carp surimi and obtain a good gel product.[Conclusions]This study provides a scientific basis for the effective utilization of water chestnut resources and the development of new fish surimi products.Jialin XIE Qing GAN Hui CHEN Zhuoya LUO Di TIAN Ruying HE Peng WU 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,6:1
