| 11 | Favorable prognostic role of IL-26 in HCC patients associated with JAK-STAT3-dependent autophagy显示文摘Interleukin-26(IL-26),originally called AK155,is one of the cytokines of the IL-10 cytokine family,and its gene is located in human chromosome region 12q15.IL-26 signals through the receptors IL-20R1 and IL-10R2,which form a heterodimer,targets specific cells and induces activation of the JAK-STAT pathway,allowing the rapid phosphorylation of STAT1 and STAT3 and the initiation of their effects.1 This signaling plays an important role in the regulation of host defense and inflammatory diseases.However,whether the role of IL-26 in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)occurs via autophagy remains unclear.Here,we analyzed the association between IL-26 levels and the clinicopathological characteristics of 115 patients with HCC and found that IL-26 levels were particularly associated with tumor stage and survival.We found that IL-26 levels were associated with the prognosis of HCC patients.Furthermore,we found that increased autophagy by IL-26 was dependent on the JAK-STAT3 signaling pathway,which could result in the inhibition of the migration and invasion abilities of these HCC cells.These findings suggest that the levels of IL-26 may be a useful prognostic marker for HCC patients and may offer insights into the clinical application of IL-26 in the future. | Qihong Zhao Chen Wang Kexin Wang Yue He Anla Hu Min Tang Wanshui Yang Jiyu Cao Dexiang Xu Hua Wang | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Liver dysfunction on admission worsens clinical manifestations and outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019显示文摘Background:Liver dysfunction was common in coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),but its association with clinical features and poor prognosis has not been fully delineated.Our study aimed to determine the role of liver dysfunction in COVID-19 and understand the predictors for worse outcomes in patients with liver injury.Methods:We conducted this multicenter,retrospective study in five designated hospitals for COVID-19 manage-ment.Laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were enrolled and classified into the normal live function group and liver dysfunction group according to liver enzymes,bilirubin,and albumin on admission,respectively.Data of baseline,clinical manifestations,and outcomes were collected and compared in the paired groups.Results:Of the 649 included COVID-19 patients,200(30.8%),69(10.6%),and 267(41.1%)patients had elevated liver enzymes,increased bilirubin,and low-level albumin,respectively.Fever,cough,and dyspnea were the most common symptoms and showed an increased proportion in the liver dysfunction group.Compared with patients in the normal liver function group,patients with liver dysfunction manifested decreased lymphocytes,higher level of leukocytes,neutrophils,inflammatory indicators,and cytokines,as well as more severe impairment in kidney function and myocardium.They were more likely to show bilateral involvement and more pulmonary lobes involved according to chest images.With increased proportion of patients who developed severe/critical conditions and needed mechanical ventilation and systemic glucocorticoid therapy,patients with liver dysfunc-tion on admission showed significantly higher in-hospital mortality.Moreover,cardiac troponin I≥1.5 ng/mL was identified as an independent mortality predictor in the elevated liver enzymes group.Conclusion:Patients with liver dysfunction on admission had worse clinical manifestation,and resulted in higher rate of severe/critical type,receiving mechanical ventilation and in-hospital mortality. | Fangying Lu Rong Chen Kandi Xu Jie Huang Dexiang Yang Tao Bai Yusang Xie Yun Ling Kui Liu Wei Du Jiayang Yan Huihuang Lin Jian Li Yun Feng Min Zhou Yi Guo | 2023 | Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2023,1,3: | 0 |

The fluid inclusions consist of four types:aqueous single-phase inclusions,aqueous two-phase inclusions,carbonated two-phase inclusions and carbonated three-phase inclusions. The fluid inclusions are characterized by low salinity( 5%-9% Na Cl eqv),low density( 0. 66--0. 72 g / cm^3) and medium temperature( 210℃--250℃). The pressure of ore-forming is 60--95 MPa and the metallogenic depth is about 5. 49--7. 56 km. During the mineralizing process,ore-forming fluid underwent fluid unmixing in CO_2-H_2O-Na Cl system. The stable isotope results indicate that the ore-forming fluids mainly generated from mantle,with the participation of a small amount of atmospheric water. | 14 | High expression of BCL6 inhibits the differentiation and development of hematopoietic stem cells and affects the growth and development of chickens显示文摘Background:B-cell CLL/lymphoma 6(BCL6)is a transcriptional master regulator that represses more than 1200 potential target genes.Our previous study showed that a decline in blood production in runting and stunting syndrome(RSS)affected sex-linked dwarf(SLD)chickens compared to SLD chickens.However,the association between BCL6 gene and hematopoietic function remains unknown in chickens.Methods:In this study,we used RSS affected SLD(RSS-SLD)chickens,SLD chickens and normal chickens as research object and overexpression of BCL6 in hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs),to investigate the effect of the BCL6 on differentiation and development of HSCs.Results:The results showed that comparison of RSS-SLD chickens with SLD chickens,the BCL6 was highly expressed in RSS-SLD chickens bone marrow.The bone marrow of RSS-SLD chickens was exhausted and red bone marrow was largely replaced by yellow bone marrow,bone density was reduced,and the levels of immature erythrocytes in peripheral blood were increased.At the same time,the hematopoietic function of HSCs decreased in RSS-SLD chickens,which was manifested by a decrease in the hematopoietic growth factors(HGFs)EPO,SCF,TPO,and IL-3,as well as hemoglobinα1 and hemoglobinβexpression.Moreover,mitochondrial function in the HSCs of RSS-SLD chickens was damaged,including an increase in ROS production,decrease in ATP concentration,and decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm).The same results were also observed in SLD chickens compared with normal chickens;however,the symptoms were more serious in RSS-SLD chickens.Additionally,after overexpression of the BCL6 in primary HSCs,the secretion of HGFs(EPO,SCF,TPO and IL-3)was inhibited and the expression of hemoglobinα1 and hemoglobinβwas decreased.However,cell proliferation was accelerated,apoptosis was inhibited,and the HSCs entered a cancerous state.The function of mitochondria was also abnormal,ROS production was decreased,and ATP concentration andΔΨm were increased,which was related to the inhibition of apoptosis of stem cells.Conclusions:Taken together,we conclude that the high expression of BCL6 inhibits the differentiation and development of HSCs by affecting mitochondrial function,resulting in impaired growth and development of chickens.Moreover,the abnormal expression of BCL6 might be a cause of the clinical manifestations of chicken comb,pale skin,stunted growth and development,and the tendency to appear RSS in SLD chickens. | Hongmei Li Bowen Hu Shang Hu Wen Luo Donglei Sun Minmin Yang Zhiying Liao Haohui Wei Changbin Zhao Dajian Li Meiqing Shi Qingbin Luo Dexiang Zhang Qinghua Nie Xiquan Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,3: | 0 |
