2Hybrid Precoding for mm Wave Massive MIMO Systems with Different Antenna Arrays显示文摘In this paper, the performance of hybrid precoding is investigated for mmWave massive MIMO systems with different antenna arrays. The hybrid precoding with partially connected architecture (PCA) is adopted. The spectral efficiency (SE) and received energy efficiency (EE) are investigated by considering four types of antenna arrays, including uniform linear array (ULA), uniform rectangular planar array (URPA), uniform hexagonal planar array (UHPA), and uniform circular planar array (UCPA), respectively. We focus on analysis at the antenna response vector and utilize the idea of orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm to seek the optimal hybrid precoder. Furthermore, the trade-off of precoding architectures is studied between SE and received EE. Simulation results show that if the uniform planar array antenna is more concentrated, the SE and receive EE will be higher. Considering SE and received EE, the performance of planar arrays outperform linear array. There exist different optimal radio-frequency chain numbers to maximize the SE for planar array and linear array. 4Systems model-guided rice yield improvements based on genes controlling source, sink, and flow显示文摘A large number of genes related to source, sink,and flow have been identified after decades of research in plant genetics. Unfortunately, these genes have not been effectively utilized in modern crop breeding. This perspective paper aims to examine the reasons behind such a phenomenon and propose a strategy to resolve this situation. Specifically, we first systematically survey the currently cloned genes related to source, sink, and flow;then we discuss three factors hindering effective application of these identified genes, which include the lack of effective methods to identify limiting or critical steps in a signaling network, the misplacement of emphasis on properties, at the leaf, instead of the whole canopy level,and the non-linear complex interaction between source,sink, and flow. Finally, we propose the development of systems models of source, sink and flow, together with a detailed simulation of interactions between them and their surrounding environments, to guide effective use of the identified elements in modern rice breeding. 6Number mismatch between cations and anions as an indicator for low lattice thermal conductivity in chalcogenides显示文摘Thermal conductivity is one of the most fundamental properties of materials with the value being determined by nearly all-scale structural features and multiple physical processes.Rapidly judging material’s thermal conductivity is extremely important but challenging for the applications.The material genome paradigm offers a revolutionary way to efficiently screen and discover materials with designed properties by using accessible indicators.But such a performance indicator for thermal conductivity is quite difficult to propose due to the existence of multiple mechanisms and processes,especially for the materials with complex structures such as chalcogenides.In this study,the number mismatch between cations and anions is proposed as a practical performance indicator for lattice thermal conductivity in complex copper and silver chalcogenides,which can be used to explain the observed experimental data and find new low thermal conductivity materials.Such a number mismatch brings about rich phenomena to affect thermal conductivity including the complication of the unit cell and the creation of chemical hierarchy,point defects,rattling modes and lone-pair electrons.It is expected that this rich-connotation performance indicator can be also extended to other complex materials to discover designed thermal conductivities.Tingting Deng Tian-Ran Wei Hui Huang Qingfeng Song Kunpeng Zhao Pengfei Qiu Jiong Yang Lidong Chen Xun Shi 2020npj Computational Materials2020,,1:0
7Effect of ammonium sulfate on the formation of zinc sulfide species on hemimorphite surface and its role in sulfidation flotation显示文摘Effectively strengthening the surface sulfidation is essential for recovering hemimorphite by froth flotation.In this work,inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES)measurements,Visual MINTEQ calculation,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis,time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(ToF-SIMS)analysis,and micro-flotation experiments were explored to systematically investigate the effect of ammonium sulfate((NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4))on the formation of zinc sulfide species on hemimorphite surface and its role in sulfidation flotation.The results showed that(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)exhibited a positive influence on hemimorphite sulfidation flotation.It was ascribed to the number of zinc components in the form of Zn^(2+)and[Zn(NH_(3))_(i)]^(2+)(i=1–4)increased in the flotation system after hemimorphite treatment with(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4),which was beneficial to its interaction with sulfur species in solution,resulting in a dense and stable zinc sulfide layer generated on the hemimorphite surface.[Zn(NH_(3))_(i)]^(2+)participated in the sulfidation reaction of hemimorphite as a transition state.In addition the sulfidation reaction of hemimorphite was accelerated by(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4).Thus,(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)presents a vital role in promoting the sulfidation of hemimorphite.Xi Zhang Yu Wang Jiushuai Deng Zhongyi Bai Hongxiang Xu Qingfeng Meng Da Jin Zhenwu Sun 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,11:0
8Using a pressure controlled vortex design method to control secondary flow losses in a turbine stage显示文摘A turbine design method based on pressure controlled vortex design(PCVD) is presented to design a small-size turbine stage.Contrary to the conventional controlled vortex design(CVD)method,the main objective of PCVD is to control the axial velocity and radial pressure in the stator–rotor gap.Through controlling axial velocity,the PCVD establishes a direct tie to meridional stream surface.Thus stream surface variation is induced,resulting in a large secondary flow vortex covering the full blade passage in the respective stator and rotor.This secondary flow vortex could be dedicated to control the secondary flow mitigation and migration.Through radial pressure,the PCVD is also associated with the macroscopic driving force of fluid motion.So the better beneft of CVD can be achieved.The core concept behind PCVD is to mainly control the spanwise pressure gradient by altering profle loading at various spanwise locations.Therefore not only the local profle lift is affected,but also the resulting throat widths,stage reaction degree,and massflow rate are altered or redistributed respectively.With the PCVD method,the global stage effciency is increased successfully while the mass flow rate keeps constant.Additionally there is no endwall shape optimization,stacking optimization,or pitch/chord variations,concentrating solely on varying blade profle deflections and stagger.Deng Qingfeng Zheng Qun Yue Guoqiang Zhang Hai Luo Mingcong 2013Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5:0
