1Migration of Some Elements and Radionuclides across aGranite-Granite Contact Zone: A Natural Analoguefor Safe Disposal of High-Level Radwastes显示文摘Elements and natural radionuclides in the contact zone of two granites with different ages would migrate from one to the other because of the difference in their chemical contents and later water-rock interactions. This migration could serve as an analogue for the near-field process of radwastes in a high-level radwaste deep geological disposal repository.In the contact between the Indosinian granite (whole-rock Rb-Sr isochron age at 214@3 Ma) and Hercynian granite (zircon U-Pb isochron age at 296@31 Ma) located in Ziyuan County, Guangxi, the O and Pb isotope characteristics and the activity ratios of 234U/238U, 230Th/238U, 230Th/234U and 226Ra/230Th show that, based on the whole-rock chemical contents, both of the two granites have maintained a relatively open chemical system in their evolution processes. 3Burial fluxes and sources of organic carbon in sediments of the central Yellow Sea mud area over the past 200 years显示文摘Long-term changes of composition,sources and burial fluxes of TOC(total organic carbon) in sediments of the central Yellow Sea mud area and their possible affecting factors are discussed in this paper.Firstly,similarity analysis is employed to confirm that the carbon burial features resulted from two collected cores are typical in the central Yellow Sea mud area where YSWC(Yellow Sea Warm Current) is prevalent.On this basis,the burial flux of TOC here was considered to be 235.5–488.4 μmol/(cm2?a) since the first industrial revolution,accounting for about 70%–90% among burial fluxes of TC(total carbon) in the sediments.Compared TOC/TC ratio in the two cores with that in other marine sediments worldwide,we suggest that the growth of calcareous/non-calcareous organisms and dissolution of IC(inorganic carbon) are important factors controlling the TOC/TC ratio in sediment.Results of two-end mixed model based on δ13C data indicate that marine-derived organic carbon(OCa)is the main part among total burial organic carbon which accounts for a ratio over 85%.Due to the high TOC/TC ratio in the two cores,TC in the sediments also mainly exists as OCa,and the proportion of OCa is about 60%–80%.Away from the shore and relatively high primary production in upper waters are the main reasons that OCa is predominant among all burial OC in sediments of the central Yellow Sea mud area.Burial of OC in this mud area is probably mainly influenced by the human activities.Although the economic development during the late 19 th century caused by the first industrial revolution in China did not obviously increase the TOC burial fluxes in the sediments,the rise of industry and agriculture after the founding of new China has clearly increased the TOC burial flux since 1950 s.Otherwise,we also realize that among TC burial fluxes,TIC account for about 10%–30% in sediments of the central Yellow Sea mud area,so its burial could not be simply ignored here.Distinct from TOC burial,long-term TIC burial fluxes variations relate with climate changes more closely:the East Asian summer monsoon may influence the strength of the Huanghe River(Yellow River) flood,which could further affect the transport of terrestrial IC from land to the central Yellow Sea as well as the burial of these IC in the sediments.YANG Shu YANG Qian LIU Sai CAI Deling QU Keming SUN Yao 2015Acta Oceanologica Sinica2015,34,10:3

6Non-viral gene carrier mediated short hairpin RNA interference for inhibition of tumor cells growth显示文摘A tumor-targeting gene vector G250mAb-PEI-PEG has been prepared by modification of polyethylenimine (PEI) with polyethyleneglycol (PEG) and G250, a monoclonal antibody against the G250 antigen on tumor cell surface. The transfection efficiency was as high as 70% in G250 positive HeLa cells, whereas the transfection efficiency was relatively low (30%) in normal NIH3T3 cells. A plasmid encoding the short hairpin RNA (shRNA) specific for nucleostemin gene (NS) was efficiently transfected into the HeLa cells with this nonviral gene vector. RNA interference down-regulated the expression of NS gene in HeLa cells, inhibited cells proliferation and induced apoptosis. However, the growth and activity of the NIH3T3 cells were not affected under the same treatment. 8Supramolecular co-assembly of self-adjuvanting nanofibrious peptide hydrogel enhances cancer vaccination by activating MyD88-dependent NF-κB signaling pathway without inflammation显示文摘Peptide vaccine targeting tumor-specific antigens is a promising cancer treatment regimen.However,peptide vaccines are commonly low-immunogenic,leading to suboptimal antitumor T-cell responses.Current peptide vaccination approaches are challenged by the variability of peptide physicochemical characters and vaccine formulations,flexibility,and the broad feasibility.Here,the supramolecular co-assembly of antigen epitope-conjugated peptides(ECPs)targeting CD8 or CD4 T-cell receptors was used to engineer a nanofibrious hydrogel vaccine platform.This approach provided precise and tunable loading of peptide antigens in nanofibers,which notably increased the antigen uptake,cross-presentation,and activation of dendritic cells(DCs).Immunization in mice indicated that the co-assembled peptide hydrogel did not induce local inflammation responses and elicited significantly promoted T-cell immunity by activating the MyD88-dependent NF-κB signaling pathway in DCs.Vaccination of mice using co-assembled peptide vaccine stimulated both enhanced CD8 and CD4 T cells against EG.7-OVA tumors without additional immunoadjuvants or delivery systems,and resulted in a more remarkable cancer immunotherapy efficacy,compared with free peptide vaccine or aluminum-adjuvanted peptide formulation.Altogether,peptide co-assembly demonstrated by three independent pairs of ECPs is a facile,customizable,and chemically defined approach for co-delivering peptide antigens in self-adjuvanting hydrogel vaccines that could induce stronger anticancer T-cell responses.Qi Su Huijuan Song Pingsheng Huang Chuangnian Zhang Jing Yang Deling Kong Weiwei Wang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:1

10Bionic peptide scaffold in situ polarization and recruitment of M2 macrophages to promote peripheral nerve regeneration显示文摘Tissue regeneration requires exogenous and endogenous signals,and there is increasing evidence that the exogenous microenvironment may play an even more dominant role in the complex process of coordinated multiple cells.The short-distance peripheral nerve showed a spontaneous regenerative phenomenon,which was initiated by the guiding role of macrophages.However,it cannot sufficiently restore long-distance nerve injury by itself.Based on this principle,we firstly constructed a proinflammatory model to prove that abnormal M2 expression reduce the guidance and repair effect of long-distance nerves.Furthermore,a bionic peptide hydrogel scaffold based on self-assembly was developed to envelop M2-derived regenerative cytokines and extracellular vesicles(EVs).The cytokines and EVs were quantified to mimic the guidance and regenerative microenvironment in a direct and mild manner.The bionic scaffold promoted M2 transformation in situ and led to proliferation and migration of Schwann cells,neuron growth and motor function recovery.Meanwhile,the peptide scaffold combined with CX3CL1 recruited more blood-derived M2 macrophages to promote long-distance nerve reconstruction.Overall,we systematically confirmed the important role of M2 in regulating and restoring the injury peripheral nerve.This bionic peptide hydrogel scaffold mimicked and remodeled the local environment for M2 transformation and recruitment,favoring long-distance peripheral nerve regeneration.It can help to explicate regulative effect of M2 may be a cause not just a consequence in nerve repair and tissue integration,which facilitating the development of pro-regenerative biomaterials.Pengxiang Yang Yong Peng Xiu Dai Jing Jie Deling Kong Xiaosong Gu Yumin Yang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,12:0

12Extraction of phenol from water by primary amine primene JMT显示文摘In this work,liquid-liquid extraction of phenol from aqueous solutions using primary amine Primene JMT(Primene®JM-T)was investigated.The extraction capability of Primene®JM-T with different diluents,including 3-heptanone,sulfonated kerosene,methyl isobutyl ketone,n-octanol,toluene and petroleum ether was studied.The experimental results indicated that the distribution coefficient of phenol extracted using Primene®JM-T that was diluted in 3-heptanone could reach 101.74 under the pH of 9.2.Moreover,the extraction reaction was exothermic(enthalpy change for the extraction reaction(DrHm)was21.03 kJ/mol).High temperature showed a negative effect on the extraction of phenol.The results also showed that adding mineral salt was conducive to the extraction process,and the extraction effi-ciency fell in the descending order of:(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)>NaCl>NH_(4)Cl.Two empirical correlations were put forward to quantitatively describe the salting effect.Furthermore,the equilibrium constants of phenol extraction using Primene®JM-T were calculated to be 78.2 L/mol.The phenol was extracted using Primene®JM-T with the possible stoichiometric formula of:[RNH_(3)^(+),PhOH]_(org),where R represents the alkyl group of the amine.Qingjie Wang Yanchun Shi Deling Yang Pengge Ning 2022Emerging Contaminants2022,8,1:0
