| 2 | Carbon and sulfur isotopic compositions of basal Datangpo Formation, northeastern Guizhou, South China:Implications for depositional environment显示文摘Isotopic compositions of Mn-carbonate and organic carbon from the same individual samples and sulfur isotopic compositions of pyrites in the basal Datangpo Formation were analyzed. Highly 34S-enriched pyrites (d34Spyrite=31.7-59.4‰) were precipitated in rel- atively occlusive pore water under anoxic condition in sediments, which is consistent with the observation of large and scattered pyrite framboids. The sulfidic deep ocean was not 'oxidized' in the early Datangpo interglacial interval, thus the level of seawater sulfate remained low and marine d34Ssulphate remained high. Low d13Ccar (average 7.4‰) and abnormal relationship between d13Ccar and frac-tionation (Dcar-org) imply that the negative d13Ccar excursion may have resulted from oxidation of part of a large organic carbon reser-voir. High Dcar-org (average 25.1‰) implicates high CO2 level in the atmosphere. | 3 | Type Synthesis of Walking Robot Legs显示文摘Walking robots use leg structures to overcome obstacles or move on complicated terrains. Most robots of current researches are equipped with legs of simple structure. The specific design method of walking robot legs is seldom studied. Based on the generalized-function(GF) set theory, a systematic type synthesis process of designing robot legs is introduced. The specific mobility of robot legs is analyzed to obtain two main leg types as the goal of design.Number synthesis problem is decomposed into two stages, actuation and constraint synthesis by name,corresponding to the combinatorics results of linear Diophantine equations. Additional restrictions are discussed to narrow the search range to propose practical limb expressions and kinematic-pair designs. Finally, all the fifty-one leg structures of four subtypes are carried out, some of which are chosen to make up robot prototypes, demonstrating the validity of the method. | 5 | Zika virus infection induces RNAi-mediated antiviral immunity in human neural progenitors and brain organoids显示文摘The re-emergence of Zika virus(ZIKV)in the Western Hemisphere has resulted in global public health crisis since 2015.ZIKV preferentially infects and targets human neural progenitor cells(hNPCs)and causes fetal microcephaly upon maternal infection.hNPCs not only play critical roles during fetal brain development,but also persist in adult brain throughout life.Yet the mechanism of innate antiviral immunity in hNPCs remains largely unknown.Here,we show that ZIKV infection triggers the abundant production of virus-derived small interfering RNAs in hNPCs,but not in the more differentiated progenies or somatic cells.Ablation of key RNAi machinery components significantly enhances ZIKV replication in hNPCs.Furthermore,enoxacin,a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is known as an RNAi enhancer,exerts potent anti-ZIKV activity in hNPCs and other RNAi-competent cells.Strikingly,enoxacin treatment completely prevents ZIKV infection and circumvents ZIKV-induced microcephalic phenotypes in brain organoid models that recapitulate human fetal brain development.Our findings highlight the physiological importance of RNAi-mediated antiviral immunity during the early stage of human brain development,uncovering a novel strategy to combat human congenital viral infections through enhancing RNAi. | Yan-Peng Xu Yang Qiu Boya Zhang Guilai Chen Qi Chen Miao Wang Fan Mo Jiuyue Xu Jin Wu Rong-Rong Zhang Meng-Li Cheng Na-Na Zhang Bao Lyu Wen-Liang Zhu Meng-Hua Wu Qing Ye Da Zhang Jiang-Hong Man Xiao-Feng Li Jie Cui Zhiheng Xu Baoyang Hu Xi Zhou Cheng-Feng Qin | 2019 | Cell Research2019，29，4： | 8 |

| 10 | The Marine Redox Change and Nitrogen Cycle in the Early Cryogenian Interglacial Time: Evidence from Nitrogen Isotopes and Mo Contents of the Basal Datangpo Formation, Northeastern Guizhou, South China显示文摘Cryogenian Datangpo Formation was deposited during the interglacial time between the Sturtian and Marinoan ice ages. We studied nitrogen isotope compositions and contents of Mo of the black shales from the basal Datangpo Formation in northeastern Guizhou, South China, for an attempt to reconstruct the marine redox change and nitrogen cycle during the interglacial time. Based on lithostratigraphy as well as geochemical profiles, the basal black shales can be divided into four intervals: Interval 1 has the lowest δ^(15)N value(+5.0‰); in interval 2, δ^(15)N values vary between +6.4‰ and +7.4‰(the first peak); interval 3 records stable values of δ^(15)N around +6‰; and interval 4 is characterized by its higher δ^(15)N values, between +6.7‰ and +7.8‰(the second peak). The values of enrichment factor of Mo decrease from 56.8 to 2.6 with the ascending stratigraphic trend. It indicated that immediately after the Sturtian glaciations, the marine seawater above the transitional zone between the shelf to slope of the southern margin of the Yangtze Platform was stratified, with shallow seawater being oxic but deep water being sulfidic. Participants can jointly view and edit relevant multimedia information distributed through Internet. Teachers and students can also simultaneously communicate by voice and text to discuss the problems. Teacher can broadcast streaming PowerPoint presentation in real time to network users. In addition to sliders, presenters can broadcast video and audio simultaneously to deliver a live multimedia show online, and store their presentations for on demand playback. Teachers distributed in different places can also use cooperative editing tool to edit and encode existing digital content. We discussed some important design principles of the system. Then, the system configuration and the results of evaluation are also presented. | 19 | Selective stimulation of smaller nerve fibers by single electrode using Biphasic Rectangular Pulses显示文摘Based on the F-H model, a simulation system to study the excitation properties of myelinated nerve fibers was developed. In order to minimize electrochemical damage of nerve tissue, a method was studied to selectively stimulate the smaller nerve fibers by single electrode employing charge-balanced biphasic rectangular pulses, in which an anode pulse with lower amplitude and longer pulse width was added before a cathode pulse with higher amplitude and short pulse width. The simulation results proved that the method is effective in selective stimulation of smaller nerve fibers in a compound nerve trunk in certain conditions. The feasibility of this method was also verified by animal experiments on the sciatic nerve trunks of toads. The amplitude and delay of compound action potential and the results of collision experiments proved that the method is valid.
