| 1 | Effect of maternal age on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET)显示文摘This is a retrospective,observational study to evaluate the effect of maternal age on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).11830 IVF-ET cycles from 10268 women were included.Four groups of different maternal age periods were compared.The groups were 21 30 years old group(4549 cycles),31-35 years old group(4424 cycles),36-40 years old group(2429 cycles),and over 40 years old group(428 cycles).The mean starting dose of Gn and mean total dose of Gn in each cycle were significantly higher(P<0.01),while the mean retrieved oocyte number was significantly lower(P<0.01) in groups of higher maternal age period than those in each of the lower groups.The biochemical pregnancy rate and the clinical pregnancy rate were significantly lower(P<0.01),while the miscarriage rate was significantly higher(P<0.01) in groups of higher maternal age period than those in the lower groups.No difference was found in two-pronuclear zygotes(2PN) rate and good quality embryo rate among different groups.Birth defect rate was also comparable in the born babies in different groups.In the group with patients' age over 40 years old,the pregnancy rate was 26.87%,the clinical pregnancy rate was 19.39%,while the miscarriage rate after clinical pregnancy was 36.14%.To draw the conclusion,patients with higher maternal age had worse IVF outcomes.In women of fertile age,patients between 20 and 30 years old have the best IVF outcomes.Patients over 40 years old have poor IVF outcome and high miscarriage rate,which suggested the necessity of preimplantation genetic screening(PGS). | YAN JunHao WU KeLiang TANG Rong DING LingLing CHEN Zi-Jiang | 2012 | Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,8: | 23 |
| 2 | ZnO nanofluids-A potential antibacterial agent显示文摘In this work, ZnO nanofluids were produced by a medium mill with a pH value of about 7.2 and characterized by Nano-Sizer and SEM. After milling, ZnO nanofluids were formed with an average particle size of 198.4 nm. The ZnO nanofluids used for testing were stored for different periods (1-, 90- and 120-day) and kept in different conditions (under the light and in the dark). The antibacterial activities of these ZnO nanofluids were evaluated by estimating the reduction ratio of the bacteria treated with ZnO. The results showed that the ZnO nanofluid stored for 120 days under the light had the best antibacterial behavior against Escherichia coli DH5a. | 3 | Association between large artery atherosclerosis and cerebral microbleeds:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to provide evidence that biomarkers of large artery atherosclerosis,including arterial stenosis and greater carotid intima-media thickness(cIMT),may serve as clinical markers of subclinical haemorrhage-prone cerebral small vessel disease,reflected by cerebral microbleeds(CMBs).Methods:We searched PubMed,MEDLINE,Web of Science,EMBASE and the Cochrane Library to identify relevant studies published before 1 July 2016.The association between arterial stenosis and CMBs was estimated by the OR and 95%CI.The association of cIMT and CMBs was calculated using the standardised mean difference(SMD).Heterogeneity and publication bias were explored.Results:8 studies including a total of 7160 participants were pooled in the meta-analysis.6 of the included studies were cross-sectional,except that 2 were prospective.We found a significant association between arterial stenosis>50%and the presence of CMBs(OR 1.95,95%CI 1.13 to 3.36,I2=56.1%).A fixed-effects model suggested that patients with CMBs were more likely to have a greater cIMT(SMD 0.20,95%CI 0.11 to 0.28,I2=24.7%).Conclusions:This systematic review and metaanalysis found that there is a relationship between large artery atherosclerosis and CMBs.Future studies are needed to confirm the impact of atherosclerosis on the CMBs,which may have potential therapeutic implications. | Lingling Ding Yuehui Hong Bin Peng | 2017 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2017,2,1: | 13 |

| 5 | Sequential fate-switches in stem-like cells drive the tumorigenic trajectory from human neural stem cells to malignant glioma显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is an incurable and highly heterogeneous brain tumor,originating from human neural stem/progenitor cells(hNSCs/hNPCs)years ahead of diagnosis.Despite extensive efforts to characterize hNSCs and end-stage GBM at bulk and single-cell levels,the de novo gliomagenic path from hNSCs is largely unknown due to technical difficulties in early-stage sampling and preclinical modeling.Here,we established two highly penetrant hNSC-derived malignant glioma models,which resemble the histopathology and transcriptional heterogeneity of human GBM.Integrating time-series analyses of whole-exome sequencing,bulk and single-cell RNA-seq,we reconstructed gliomagenic trajectories,and identified a persistent NSC-like population at all stages of tumorigenesis.Through trajectory analyses and lineage tracing,we showed that tumor progression is primarily driven by multi-step transcriptional reprogramming and fate-switches in the NSC-like cells,which sequentially generate malignant heterogeneity and induce tumor phenotype transitions.We further uncovered stage-specific oncogenic cascades,and among the candidate genes we functionally validated C1QL1 as a new glioma-promoting factor.Importantly,the neurogenic-to-gliogenic switch in NSC-like cells marks an early stage characterized by a burst of oncogenic alterations,during which transient AP-1 inhibition is sufficient to inhibit gliomagenesis.Together,our results reveal previously undercharacterized molecular dynamics and fate choices driving de novo gliomagenesis from hNSCs,and provide a blueprint for potential early-stage treatment/diagnosis for GBM. | Xiaofei Wang Ran Zhou Yanzhen Xiong Lingling Zhou Xiang Yan Manli Wang Fan Li Chuanxing Xie Yiming Zhang Zongyao Huang Chaoqiong Ding Kaidou Shi Weida Li Yu Liu Zhongwei Cao Zhen-Ning Zhang Shengtao Zhou Chong Chen Yan Zhang Lu Chen Yuan Wang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,6: | 8 |
| 6 | Kinetic and thermodynamic studies of the esterification of acidified oil catalyzed by sulfonated cation exchange resin显示文摘This study describes the kinetics and thermodynamics of the esterification of acidified oil with methanol catalyzed by sulfonated cation exchange resins(SCER). The effects of the mass ratio of methanol to acidified oil,reaction temperature,and catalyst loading were studied to optimize the conditions for maximum conversion of free fatty acids(FFAs). The results showed that the optimal conversion rate of FFAs was 91.87% at the mass ratio of methanol to acidified oil of 2.5:1.0,reaction temperature of 65.0 °C,catalyst loading of 5.0 g and reaction time of 8.0 h. The external and internal mass transfer resistances were negligible based on the experimental results and a pseudo-homogeneous kinetic model was proposed for the esterification. The activation energy and thermodynamic parameters including G,S and H were determined. | 7 | The Impact of Large-Scale Reclamation on Hydro-Dynamic Environment--A Case Study of Xinghua Bay显示文摘A hydro-dynamic model is established on basis of MIKE21 FM to simulate the hydro-dynamic characteristics of Xinghua Bay and investigate the influence of reclamation project on the tidal elevation and tidal currents. Tidal elevation data was obtained at the six tide gauge stations around the Xinghua Bay, and another six current stations were established to observe the tidal current velocity and direction. Validation shows that the model-simulated tidal elevation and tidal currents agree well with observations made at different stations. Predictions are made according to the reclamation project proposed in the regional marine planning of Hanjiang Industrial Park around the port in Putian City. The variations of hydro-dynamic factors, such as tide, current velocity and direction and tidal influx are obtained, and the adverse effect of reclamation on marine environment is discussed. It is shown that the tidal level inside the Xinghua Bay during high tide decreases after the reclamation project is completed. The tidal currents during flooding tide generally decrease in the southeast of the reclamation region, with the maximum decreasing amplitude reaching 0.44 m s^(-1). On the other hand, the tidal currents during flooding tide increase around the southeast and southwest corners of the reclamation region. The tidal currents during ebb tide increase around the southeast and southwest corners of the reclamation region, with the maximum increasing amplitude attaining 0.18 m s^(-1). | 9 | Loss of Wip1 aggravates brain injury after ischaemia/reperfusion by overactivating microglia显示文摘Background and purpose The inflammatory response mediated by microglia/macrophages is closely related to cerebral ischaemia/reperfusion injury.Wild-type p53-induced protein phosphatase 1(Wip1),a serine/threonine phosphatase,is expressed in various tissues.A growing number of reports have suggested that Wip1 is a negative regulator of inflammation in peripheral tissue;however,its role in the central nervous system(CNS)remains unclear.This study aimed to clarify whether Wip1 can inhibit CNS inflammation by regulating microglia/macrophage functions after ischaemic injury.Methods A model of middle cerebral artery occlusion and reperfusion was established in mice.CNS inflammation was simulated by lipopolysaccharide treatment of primary microglia.Laser speckle imaging was used to monitor regional cerebral blood flow.Behavioural outcomes were assessed with a TreadScan gait analysis system.TTC staining was used to evaluate the infarct volume,and western blotting and immunofluorescence staining were applied to detect the phenotypical transformation of microglia.ELISA was performed to detect the levels of inflammatory factors.Results Wip1 expression was increased after ischaemia/reperfusion.Wip1-knockout(KO)mice displayed more severe brain injury than wild-type mice,as indicated by aggravated motor dysfunction,greater brain infarct volumes and higher expression of inflammatory cytokines(interleukin-6 and tumour necrosis factor alpha)in the brain.We also found that Wip1 depletion increased microglial/macrophage activation in both in vitro and in vivo models,which all showed activation of microglia/macrophages.Lentivirus-Ppm1d reversed the injury induced by Wip1-KO.Conclusions Our results suggest that Wip1 may inhibit neuroinflammation by inhibiting microglial/macrophage activation after brain ischaemia/reperfusion injury. | Feng Yan Xiang Cheng Ming Zhao Shenghui Gong Ying Han Liping Ding Di Wu Yumin Luo Wei Zuo Lingling Zhu Ming Fan Xunming Ji | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 4 |
| 10 | Impact of Global Warming on Water Resource in Arid Area of Northwest China显示文摘As the unprecedented global warming is under way, the glacier retreat is getting more and more serious. In the inland arid area of Northwest China, due to very scarce precipitation, where there is water, there are oases. And the glacier melt water amounts to 22 % of the total direct supply of the inland river water and is of crucial importance to the survival and development of the oases. In this paper, using both the observed data and the previous research achievements of the glaciers in the inland valley of Northwest China where the oasis depending on the glacier is the only location suitable for human living, the authors describe the glacier retreat trend over the past half century, focusing on discussing the possible impact of the glacier retreat on the melt water runoff that is almost the only water resource efficient to nourish the oases. The authors find that even with increasing amount of water from the glacier with global warming, the water shortage is getting more and more serious and the environment is under a degrading way due to the accelerating economical development. The water shortage is bound to be more serious if the glacier retreat keeps on, especially after the glacier melt water is over its top for the degradedglacier scale. | 18 | Variations in the starting date of the pre-summer rainy season in South China, 1736-2010显示文摘The starting dates of the pre-summer rainy season during historical times(1736– 1911) in Fuzhou and Guangzhou of South China, were determined and reconstructed on the basis of historical documents in the Yu-Xue-Fen-Cun archive, together with observed features of precipitation during the pre-summer rainy season. In addition, starting dates of the pre-summer rainy season from 1953 in Fuzhou and from 1952 in Guangzhou were reconstructed for the instrumental period. These data allowed for analyses of inter-annual and inter-decadal changes in the starting dates of the pre-summer rainy season in South China over the past 300 years. Results show that the mean starting date of the pre-summer rainy season in South China was the first pentad of May; in addition, periodicities in the starting dates of 2–3 years, 10 years, and 40 years were detected during the period 1736–1911, and of 2–3 years, 10 years, and 22 years during the instrumental period. From 1736 to 1911, the earliest starting dates at Fuzhou and Guangzhou both occurred at the fourth pentad of April, while the latest starting dates were at the sixth pentad of May in Fuzhou and the first pentad of June in Guangzhou. During the instrumental period, the earliest and latest starting dates were at the fourth pentad of April and the first pentad of June, respectively, in both Fuzhou during 1953–2010 and Guangzhou during 1952–2010.
