| 3 | Sedimentary evolution of Neoproterozoic rift basin in northern Tarim显示文摘Based on the outcrop,drilling and seismic data,the sedimentary successions,evolution and hydrocarbon exploration potential of the Neoproterozoic rift basin in the northern Tarim were firstly analyzed.Due to assembly and breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent,the Tabei paleocontinent and the Tarim paleocontinent were developed in the Tarim craton with an EW-trending back-arc rift basin between them during Neoproterozoic time;very thick marine clastic rocks,carbonate rocks and volcanic rocks(including tillite)were deposited in the Kuruktag and Aksu area of the northern Tarim,which experienced deep sea,bathyal sea and littoral sea environments with transitional delta and ice-sea.During the Early Cryogenian and the Late Ediacaran,the northern rift basin evolved from the deep sea to the littoralneritic sea,while the lithology changed from clastic rocks to carbonate rocks.According to the field and production data,the formation and preservation of the source rocks and reservoirs indicate a good exploration potential of the Neoproterozoic rift basin. | Lin Wu Shuwei Guan Rong Ren Chunyu Zhang | 2017 | Petroleum Research2017,2,4: | 6 |
| 4 | Classification of Northeast China Cold Vortex Activity Paths in Early Summer Based on K-means Clustering and Their Climate Impact显示文摘The classification of the Northeast China Cold Vortex(NCCV)activity paths is an important way to analyze its characteristics in detail.Based on the daily precipitation data of the northeastern China(NEC)region,and the atmospheric circulation field and temperature field data of ERA-Interim for every six hours,the NCCV processes during the early summer(June)seasons from 1979 to 2018 were objectively identified.Then,the NCCV processes were classified using a machine learning method(k-means)according to the characteristic parameters of the activity path information.The rationality of the classification results was verified from two aspects,as follows:(1)the atmospheric circulation configuration of the NCCV on various paths;and(2)its influences on the climate conditions in the NEC.The obtained results showed that the activity paths of the NCCV could be divided into four types according to such characteristics as the generation origin,movement direction,and movement velocity of the NCCV.These included the generation-eastward movement type in the east of the Mongolia Plateau(eastward movement type or type A);generation-southeast longdistance movement type in the upstream of the Lena River(southeast long-distance movement type or type B);generationeastward less-movement type near Lake Baikal(eastward less-movement type or type C);and the generation-southward less-movement type in eastern Siberia(southward less-movement type or type D).There were obvious differences observed in the atmospheric circulation configuration and the climate impact of the NCCV on the four above-mentioned types of paths,which indicated that the classification results were reasonable. | Yihe FANG Haishan CHEN Yi LIN Chunyu ZHAO Yitong LIN Fang ZHOU | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,3: | 4 |

| 6 | RELU DEEP NEURAL NETWORKS AND LINEAR FINITE ELEMENTS显示文摘In this paper,we investigate the relationship between deep neural net works(DNN)with rectified linear unit(ReLU)function as the activation function and continuous piecewise linear(CPWL)functions,especially CPWL functions from the simplicial linear finite element method(FEM).We first consider the special case of FEM.By exploring the DNN representation of its nodal basis functions,we present a ReLU DNN representation of CPWL in FEM.We theoretically establish that at least 2 hidden layers are needed in a ReLU DNN to represent any linear finite element functions inΩ■R^2 when d≥2.Consequently,for d=2,3 which are often encountered in scientific and engineering computing,the minimal number of two hidden layers are necessary and sufficient for any CPWL function to be represented by a ReLU DNN.Then we include a detailed account on how a general CPWL in R^d can be represented by a ReLU DNN with at most[log2(d+1)]|hidden layers and we also give an estimation of the number of neurons in DNN that are needed in such a represe ntation.Furthermore,using the relationship bet ween DNN and FEM,we theoretically argue that a special class of DNN models with low bit-width are still expected to have an adequate representation power in applications.Finally,as a proof of concept,we present some numerical results for using ReLU DNNs to solve a two point boundary problem to demonstrate the potential of applying DNN for numerical solution of partial differential equations. | Juncai He Lin Li Jinchao Xu Chunyue Zheng | 2020 | Journal of Computational Mathematics2020,38,3: | 2 |
| 7 | Neuroprotective role of edaravone and the effects of endoplasmic reticulum stress in an adult rat model of focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion显示文摘BACKGROUND: Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress impairs ER functions and leads to the accumulation of unfolded or misfolded proteins in the ER lumen. ER stress-induced cell death plays an important role in cerebral ischemia. Edaravon (3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one) is a potent and novel scavenger of free radicals that inhibit delayed neuronal death, as demonstrated by in vitro and animal studies. However, its effect on ER stress and induced neuronal apoptosis in a rat model of brief middle cerebral artery occlusion remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of edaravone on the expression of ER stress-related factors and neuronal apoptosis, based on the hypothesis that edaravone influences ER stress in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled, animal study was performed at the Laboratory of Department of Neurology, Xiangya Hospital and the Department of Laboratory Animals, Xiangya Medical College, Central South University in China from June 2005 to May 2006. MATERIALS: Edaravone was purchased from Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, China. METHODS: A total of 216 adult, male, Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to sham-surgery, model and edaravone groups, with 72 rats in each group. Brief middle cerebral artery occlusion was established in the model and edaravone groups. In addition, the edaravone group rats were injected with 3 mg/kg edaravone through the tail vein. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: RNA-dependent protein kinase-like endoplasmic reticulum eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2α kinase (PERK) and C/EBP homology protein (CHOP) mRNA expression in the ischemic parietal cortex was determined by reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction; phosphorylated PERK and CHOP protein expression was detected by immunohistochemistry; neuronal apoptosis was detected by TdT-mediated-dUTP nick end labeling. RESULTS: Neurological deficit scores were significantly reduced in the edaravone group compared to the model group at 12, 24, and 72 hours following reperfusion (P < 0.05). In addition, PERK and CHOP mRNA as well as phosphorylated PERK and CHOP protein expression were significantly reduced in the edaravone group compared to the model group at 1, 3, and 6 hours following reperfusion (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). CHOP mRNA expression was decreased in the edaravone group compared to the model group at 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours following reperfusion (P < 0.01), while CHOP protein expression was less than the model group at 6, 12, and 24 hours following reperfusion (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Edaravone treatment resulted in decreased PERK and CHOP expression following ischemia/reperfusion, as well as reduced neuronal apoptosis. | 8 | Analysis of QTLs for erucic acid and oil content in seeds on A8 chromosome and the linkage drag between the alleles for the two traits in Brassica napus显示文摘The history of canola breeding began with the discovery of germplasm with low erucic acid content in seeds of spring forage cultivar in the 1950's.FAE1 mutations led to a dramatic decrease of the seed erucic acid content in Arabidopsis thaliana.The products of the two FAE1 loci,BnA8.FAE1 and BnC3.FAE1,showed additive effects to the level of erucic acid content in oilseed rape.Previous research believed that the pleiotropy of FAE1 was responsible for the decrease in seed oil content along with the reduction of seed erucic acid content in the modern cultivars.TN DH population was developed from a canola cultivar Tapidor and a Chinese traditional cultivar Ningyou7.The population had been tested in 10 and 11 environments to map QTLs for the erucic acid content and oil content in seeds.As the map resolution increased,a novel QTL for seed erucic acid content was revealed,after Meta-analysis,7 cM away from the most significant seed erucic acid content QTL where BnA8.FAE1 is located.Seven independent QTLs for seed oil content(qOC) were detected around the two seed erucic acid content QTLs(qEA) across 39.20 cM on linkage group A8.Two of the qOCs co-localized with the two qEAs,respectively,and were detected in a single environment.The other five qOCs were detected in 10 of 11 environments independent of qEAs.Alleles from Tapidor in all the QTLs at the 0-39.20 cM region contributed negative effects to either erucic acid content or oil content in seeds.Parallel,geno-typing showed that on 5 of the 7 QTLs regions,Tapidor alleles had the same genotypes with that in 'Liho',the original low seed erucic acid content source.Through rounds of crossbreeding with oil-cropped cultivars and intensive selection for multi generations,Tapidor still had the inferior alleles for low seed oil content from 'Liho',the forage rape.This showed a strong linkage drag of low seed oil content,which was controlled by the five qEA-independent qOCs,with low seed erucic acid content.Ninety cultivars of B.napus from 8 countries were used to analyze the genetic drag with 9 molecular markers located in the QTL confidence intervals(24.04 cM) on linkage group A8.It was noticed that more than 46% of the cultivars with low seed erucic acid content trait remained the genotype of low seed oil content at least in one locus.Backcross and marker-assisted selection could break the genetic drag between the low oil content and erucic acid in seeds in the process for breeding modern high seed oil content canola cultivars. | Zhengying Cao Fang Tian Nian Wang Congcong Jiang Bing Lin Wei Xia Jiaqin Shi Yah Long Chunyu Zhang Jinling Meng | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,4: | 2 |

| 16 | G-CNTs/PVDF mixed matrix membranes with improved antifouling properties and filtration performance显示文摘Although carbon nanomaterials have been widely used as effective nanofillers for fabrication of mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)with outstanding performances,the reproducibility of the fabricated MMMs is still hindered by the non-homogenous dispersion of these carbon nanofillers in membrane substrate.Herein,we report an effective way to improve the compatibility of carbon-based nanomaterials with membrane matrixes.By chemically conjugating the oxidized CNTs(o-CNTs)and GO using hexanediamine as cross-linker,a novel carbon nanohybrid material(G-CNTs)was synthesized,which inherited both the advanced properties of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and graphene oxide(G0).The G-CNTs incorporated polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)MMMs(GCNTs/PVDF)were fabricated via a non-solvent induced phase separation(NIPS)method.The filtration and antifouling performances of G-CNTs/PVDF were evaluated using distillate water and a1g/L bovine serum albumin(BSA)aqueous solution under 0.10 MPa.Compared to the MMMs prepared with o-CNTs,GO,the physical mixture of o-CNTs and GO and pure PVDF membrane,the G-CNTs/PVDF membrane exhibited the highest water flux up to 220 L/m%and a flux recovery ratio as high as 90%,as well as the best BSA rejection rate.The excellent performances should be attributed to the increased membrane pore size,porosity and hydrophilicity of the resulted membrane.The successful synthesis of the novel nanohybrid G-CNTs provides a new type of nanofillers for MMMs fabrication. | Xiaoyan Guo Chunyu Li Chenghao Li Tingting Wei Lin Tong Huaiqi Shao Qixing Zhou Lan Wang Yuan Liao | 2019 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,6: | 1 |
