1Mechanisms of Plant Responses and Adaptation to Soil Salinity显示文摘Soil salinity is a major environmental stress that restricts the growth and yield of crops.Understanding the physiological,metabolic,and biochemical responses of plants to salt stress and mining the salt tolerance-associated genetic resource in nature will be extremely important for us to cultivate salt-tolerant crops.In this review,we provide a comprehensive summary of the mechanisms of salt stress responses in plants,including salt stress-triggered physiological responses,oxidative stress,salt stress sensing and signaling pathways,organellar stress,ion homeostasis,hormonal and gene expression regulation,metabolic changes,as well as salt tolerance mechanisms in halophytes.Important questions regarding salt tolerance that need to be addressed in the future are discussed.Chunzhao Zhao Heng Zhang Chunpeng Song Jian-Kang Zhu Sergey Shabala 2020The Innovation2020,1,1:25
2Protein kinases in plant responses to drought, salt,and cold stress显示文摘Protein kinases are major players in various signal transduction pathways. Understanding the molecular mechanisms behind plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses has become critical for developing and breeding climate-resilient crops. In this review,we summarize recent progress on understanding plant drought, salt, and cold stress responses, with a focus on signal perception and transduction by different protein kinases, especially sucrose nonfermenting1(SNF1)-related protein kinases(Sn RKs),mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) cascades,calcium-dependent protein kinases(CDPKs/CPKs),and receptor-like kinases(RLKs). 4Hydrogen peroxide modulates abscisic acid signaling in root growth and development in Arabidopsis显示文摘Exogenous abscisic acid(ABA)can inhibit root growth and promote formation of more root hairs in the root tip of Arabidopsis.However,the molecular mechanisms that underlie root ABA signaling are largely unknown.We report here that hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)reduces the root growth of wild type, and the phenotype of H2O2 on the root growth is similar to ABA response.Meanwhile ABA-induced changes in the morphology of root system can be partly reversed by ascorbic acid in wild type and abolished in NADPH oxidase defective mutant atrbohF and atrbohC.Further,ABA can induce H2O2 accumulation in the root cells and enhance transcription level of OXI1,which is necessary for many more AOS-dependent processes such as root hair growth in Arabidopsis.Our results suggest that H2O2 as an important signal molecule is required for the ABA-regulated root growth and development in Arabidopsis.BAI Ling ZHOU Yun ZHANG XiaoRan SONG ChunPeng Cao MingQing 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,8:12

7Identification and primary genetic analysis of Arabidopsis stomatal mutants in response to multiple stresses显示文摘In response to variable environmental conditions, guard cells located in the leaf epidermis can integrate and cope with a multitude of complicated stimuli, thereby making stomata in an appro- priate state. However, many signaling components in guard cell signaling remain elusive. In our laboratory, a tool for non-invasive remote infrared thermal images was used to screen an ethyl methane sulfonate-mutagenized population for Arabidopsis stomatal response mutants under multiple stresses (ABA, H2O2, CO2, etc.). More than forty 'hot' or 'cold' mutants were isolated (above or below 0.5℃ in con- trast to normal plantlets). Identification and primary genetic analysis of these mutants show that they are monogenic recessive mutations and there exist distinct difference in stomata apertures compared to wild type. 8MAP kinase specifically mediates the ABA-induced H_2O_2 generation in guard cells of Vicia faba L.显示文摘Mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase is involved in ABA- or H2O2-signaling, and H2O2 acts as inter-mediate in the downstream of ABA signal transduction pathway, which has recently emerged as a secondary mes-senger of ABA signaling. Using an epidermal strip bioassay and laser scanning confocal microscope, we provided the first evidence that MAP kinase plays an important role in H2O2 signal initial, amplification and specific targeting in response to stimuli in guard cells. ABA- or H2O2-induced Vicia faba stomatal closure was inhibited or reversed by the specific inhibitor PD98059 of MEK1/2; the guard cells were pre-incubated or -microinjected by 10 mmol·L-1 PD98059, ABA could not enhance the fluorescence intensity of H2O2 probe dichlorofluorescein (DCF). Meanwhile, after ABA induced the H2O2 accumulation in guard cells, the exogenous or intracellular PD98059 could reduce the DCF fluorescence intensity. Most interestingly, on the contrary to ABA, the DCF fluorescence intensity of guard cells treated by 100 mmol·L-1 salicylic acid (SA) was not down-regulated by PD98059, yet PD98059 did not regulate the stomatal move-ment being induced by light, dark or salicylic acid. 10Functional analysis of the ABA-responsive protein family in ABA and stress signal transduction in Arabidopsis显示文摘The phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)plays an important role in plant growth and development,for example in seed dormancy and germination,as well as in plant responses to environmental stresses,such as drought and high salinity.Previous studies have shown that ABA regulates the expression of genes with an ABA-responsive element(ABRE)and their corresponding physiological responses.Bioinformatics analysis identified a GRAM domain-containing gene family that has a multiple ABRE cis-element,which was termed the ABA-responsive protein(ABR)family.To analyze the function of the ABR family,we identified homozygous T-DNA insertion mutants and constructed abr1,2,3 double mutants and triple mutant.The abr1,abr2 and abr3single mutants showed a normal phenotype;however,the germination of seeds of the double mutants and triple mutant were insensitive to ABA,NaCl,mannitol and glucose.ABR1-GFP was distributed as a punctate structure in the cytosol and may be localized in the endomembrane system.The ABR2-GFP and ABR3-GFP proteins localized in the cytoplasm.In addition,ABR1,ABR2 and ABR3 were expressed in various tissues,and could be induced by several abiotic stresses,especially by ABA.The expressions of these genes were significantly suppressed in aba2,abi1 and abi2 null mutants.These results suggested that the ABR family may act downstream of ABI1 and ABI2 in the ABA signal transduction process in plants.LIU LingYun LI Na YAO ChunPeng MENG SaSa SONG ChunPeng 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,31:7
11A survey on deep geometry learning:From a representation perspective显示文摘Researchers have achieved great success in dealing with 2 D images using deep learning.In recent years,3 D computer vision and geometry deep learning have gained ever more attention.Many advanced techniques for 3 D shapes have been proposed for different applications.Unlike 2 D images,which can be uniformly represented by a regular grid of pixels,3 D shapes have various representations,such as depth images,multi-view images,voxels,point clouds,meshes,implicit surfaces,etc.The performance achieved in different applications largely depends on the representation used,and there is no unique representation that works well for all applications.Therefore,in this survey,we review recent developments in deep learning for 3 D geometry from a representation perspective,summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of different representations for different applications.We also present existing datasets in these representations and further discuss future research directions.Yun-Peng Xiao Yu-Kun Lai Fang-Lue Zhang Chunpeng Li Lin Gao 2020Computational Visual Media2020,6,2:7

13HEATING RATE OF MINERALS AND COMPOUNDS IN MICROWAVE FIELD显示文摘More than 40 kinds of selected minerals and compounds were individually irradiated by microwaves under an inert atmosphere,and the temperatures of samples were measured with a metal-sheathed thermocouple inserted into the samples directiy.The results indicated that most sulphide and some oxide minerals and compounds could be heated to high temperatures in a short timet whereas the common gangue minerals,some oxide and oxy-salt minerals or compounds could not.The sulphide minerals had faster heating rate than the oxide minerals containing the same cations.The impurities of minerals had significant effect on the heating rate.The selective heating characteristics of microwaves on different minerals and compounds could be attributed to the differences between their conductivities or dielectric loss factors and bonding properties.Hua Yixiru Liu Chunpeng 1996Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China1996,6,1:6

15Arabidopsis calcium-dependent protein kinase CPK28 is potentially involved in the response to osmotic stress显示文摘As calcium sensors, plant calcium-dependent protein kinases(CDPKs) play important roles in plants' responses to various abiotic stresses. Here, we report the functional characterization of CPK28, a member of the CDPK family in Arabidopsis, in response to osmotic stress.The cpk28 mutant, a loss-of-function mutant, exhibited an NaCl- and mannitol-sensitive phenotype in green cotyledons, while CPK28-overexpressing plants displayed stronger tolerance to NaCl and mannitol stresses than wildtype plants. Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction and beta-glucuronidase staining assays showed that NaCl and mannitol stresses induced CPK28. CPK28-overexpressing lines accumulated significantly more proline relative to wild-type plants and mutant plants under NaCl and mannitol stresses. Transient expression of CPK28-GFP in mesophyll cell protoplasts, as well as stable transgenic lines expressing CPK28-GFP, showed that CPK28 was localized in the plasma membrane. Expression levels of known stress-responsive genes were not significantly altered in the null mutant and overexpression lines,suggesting that CPK28 possibly mediated the stress response via the regulation of target proteins rather than via regulation at the level of transcription. Meanwhile, CPK28could autophosphorylate. 18Optical properties and chemical composition of PM_(2.5) in Shanghai in the spring of 2012显示文摘The semi-diurnal mean aerosol mass concentration, chemical composition, and optical properties of PM2.5were investigated in Shanghai during the spring of 2012. Slight pollution was observed during the study period. The average PM2.5 concentration was 64.11 土 22.83(xg/m3. The mean coefficients of extinction,scattering, and absorption at 532 nm were 125.9 士 78.5,91.1 士 56.3,and 34.9 士 23.6 Mm-1, respectively. A relatively low mean single scattering albedo at 532 nm(0.73 士 0.04) and low level of elemental carbon(EC,2.67 士 1.96 |xg/m3) suggested that the light absorption was enhanced due to the internal mixing of the EC.Sulfate contributed the most to aerosol light scattering in Shanghai. The chemical composition of PM2.5was dominated by particulate organic matter, sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, and EC. Anthropogenic sources made a significant contribution to the emission and loading of the particulate pollutants. 19Sieving carbons promise practical anodes with extensible low-potential plateaus for sodium batteries显示文摘Non-graphitic carbons are promising anode candidates for sodium-ion batteries,while their variable and complicated microstructure severely limits the rational design of high-energy carbon anodes that could accelerate the commercialization of sodium-ion batteries,as is the case for graphite in lithium-ion batteries.Here,we propose sieving carbons,featuring highly tunable nanopores with tightened pore entrances,as high-energy anodes with extensible and reversible low-potential plateaus(<0.1 V).It is shown that the tightened pore entrance blocks the formation of the solid electrolyte interphase inside the nanopores and enables sodium clustering to produce the plateau.Theoretical and spectroscopic studies also show that creating a larger area of sodiophilic pore surface leads to an almost linearly increased number of sodium clusters,and controlling the pore body diameter guarantees the reversibility of sodium cluster formation,producing a sieving carbon anode with a record-high plateau capacity of 400 mAh g.More excitingly,this approach to preparing sieving carbons has the potential to be scalable for modifying different commercial porous carbons.Qi Li Xiangsi Liu Ying Tao Jianxing Huang Jun Zhang Chunpeng Yang Yibo Zhang Siwei Zhang Yiran Jia Qiaowei Lin Yuxuan Xiang Jun Cheng Wei Lv Feiyu Kang Yong Yang Quan-Hong Yang 2022National Science Review2022,9,8:3
