| 1 | Indosinian isotope ages of plutons and deposits in southwestern Miaoershan-Yuechengling,northeastern Guangxi and implications on Indosinian mineralization in South China显示文摘The Miaoershan-Yuechengling complex pluton is the largest granitoid complex in the western Nanling metallogenic belt with a surface exposure of >3000 km2.The complex pluton is composed of an early stage granitoid batholith and late stage small intrusions.The early stage batholith contains mainly medium-grained porphyritic mica granite and porphyritic monzonite granite,whereas the late stage intrusions are composed of muscovite granite porphyry and muscovite monzonitic granite.There are many W-Sn-Mo-Pb-Zn-Cu ores in the contact zone between the batholith and strata,forming an ore-rich belt around the batholith.Based on zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb ages,the southwestern part of the early stage batholith formed at 228.7 ± 4.1 Ma(MSWD = 2.49),with slightly earlier magmatic activity at 243.0 ± 5.8 Ma(MSWD = 2.62).The Yuntoujie muscovite granite was associated with W-Mo mineralization and has a zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb age of 216.8 ± 4.9 Ma(MSWD = 1.44).The Re-Os isochron age of molybdenite from the Yuntoujie W-Mo ore was 216.8 ± 7.5 Ma(MSWD = 11.3).Our new isotope data suggest that the late stage intrusive stocks from the southwestern Miaoershan-Yuechengling batholith were closely associated with W-Mo mineralization from the Indosinian period.These new results together with previous isotope data,suggest that South China underwent not only the well-known Yanshanian mineralization event,but also a widespread Indosinian metallogenic event during the Mesozoic period.Therefore,South China has a greater potential for Indosinian mineralization than previously thought such that more attention should be given to the Indosinian ore prospecting in South China. | WU Jing LIANG HuaYing HUANG WenTing WANG ChunLong SUN WeiDong SUN YaLi LI Jing MO JiHai WANG XiuZhang | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9: | 28 |
| 2 | Boceprevir,GC-376,and calpain inhibitors Ⅱ,Ⅻ inhibit SARS-CoV-2 viral replication by targeting the viral main protease显示文摘A new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,also called novel coronavirus 2019(2019-nCoV),started to circulate among humans around December 2019,and it is now widespread as a global pandemic.The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus is called COVID-19,which is highly contagious and has an overall mortality rate of 6.35%as of May 26,2020.There is no vaccine or antiviral available for SARS-CoV-2.In this study,we report our discovery of inhibitors targeting the SARS-CoV-2 main protease(Mpro).Using the FRET-based enzymatic assay,several inhibitors including boceprevir,GC-376,and calpain inhibitorsⅡ,andⅫwere identified to have potent activity with single-digit to submicromolar ICs0 values in the enzymatic assay.The mechanism of action of the hits was further characterized using enzyme kinetic studies,thermal shift binding assays,and native mass spectrometry.Significantly,four compounds(boceprevir,GC-376,calpain inhibitorsⅡandⅫ)inhibit SARS-CoV-2 viral replication in cell culture with EC50 values ranging from 0.49 to 3.37μM.Notably,boceprevir,calpain inhibitorsⅡandⅫrepresent novel chemotypes that are distinct from known substrate-based peptidomimetic Mpro inhibitors.A complex crystal structure of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro with GC-376,determined at 2.15(A)resolution with three protomers per asymmetric unit,revealed two unique binding configurations,shedding light on the molecular interactions and protein conformational flexibility underlying substrate and inhibitor binding by Mpro.Overall,the compounds identified herein provide promising starting points for the further development of SARS-CoV-2 therapeutics. | Chunlong Ma Michael Dominic Sacco Brett Hurst Julia Alma Townsend Yanmei Hu Tommy Szeto Xiujun Zhang Bart Tarbet Michael Thomas Marty Yu Chen Jun Wang | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,8: | 13 |

| 4 | An increase in corn resistant starch decreases protein fermentation and modulates gut microbiota during in vitro cultivation of pig large intestinal inocula显示文摘High-protein diet could cause an increase in protein fermentation in the large intestine, leading to an increased production of potentially detrimental metabolites. We hypothesized that an increase in corn resistant starch content may attenuate the protein fermentation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of resistant starch on protein fermentation by inocula from large intestine of pigs using in vitro cultivation. Fermentation patterns were analyzed during a 24-h incubation of cecal and colonic digesta with varying corn resistant starch contents, using casein protein as sole nitrogen source. The results showed that the concentration of short-chain fatty acids(SCFA) and cumulative gas production were significantly increased(P < 0.05), while ammonia-nitrogen(NH_3-N) and branched-chain fatty acids(BCFA), which indicated protein fermentation, decreased when the corn resistant starch levels increased(P < 0.05). The copies of total bacteria, Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus were significantly increased with the increased corn resistant starch levels after incubation(P < 0.05). The copies of the Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus in cecum were significantly higher than those in colon(P < 0.05). | 5 | Experimental Study on the Characteristics of CO_2 Hydrate Formation in Porous Media below Freezing Point显示文摘Porous medium has an obvious effect on the formation of carbon dioxide hydrate. In order to study the characteristics of CO2 hydrate formation in porous medium below the freezing point, the experiment of CO2 hydrate formation was conducted in a high-pressure 1.8-L cell in the presence of porous media with a particle size of 380 μm, 500 μm and 700 μm, respectively. The test results showed that the porous medium had an important influence on the process of CO2 hydrate formation below the freezing point. Compared with porous media with a particle size of 500 μm and 700 μm, respectively, the average hydrate formation rate and gas storage capacity of carbon dioxide hydrate in the porous medium with a particle size of 380 μm attained 0.016 14 mol/h and 65.094 L/L, respectively. | 6 | Autonomous navigation for a wolfberry picking robot using visual cues and fuzzy control显示文摘Lycium barbarum commonly known as wolfberry or Goji is considered an important ingredient in Japanese,Korean,Vietnamese,and Chinese food and medicine.It is cultivated extensively in these countries and is usually harvested manually,which is laborintensive and tedious task.To improve the efficiency of harvesting and reduce manual labor,automatic harvesting technology has been investigated by many researchers in recent years.In this paper,an autonomous navigation algorithm using visual cues and fuzzy control is proposed for Wolfberry orchards.At first,we propose a new weightage(2.4B-0.9G-R)to convert a color image into a grayscale image for better identification of the trunk of Lycium barbarum,the minimum positive circumscribed rectangle is used to describe the contours.Then,using the contour points the least square method is used to fit the navigation line and a region of interest(ROI)is computed that improves the realtime accuracy of the system.Finally,a set of fuzzy controllers,for pneumatic steering system,is designed to achieve real-time autonomous navigation in wolfberry orchard.Static image experiments show that the average accuracy rate of the algorithm is above 90%,and the average time consumption is approximately 162 ms,with good robustness and real-time performance.The experimental results show that when the speed is 1 km/h,the maximum lateral deviation is less than 6.2 cm and the average lateral deviation is 2.9 cm,which meets the requirements of automatic picking of wolfberry picking robot in real-world environments. | Yue Ma Wenqiang Zhang Waqar S.Qureshi Chao Gao Chunlong Zhang Wei Li | 2021 | Information Processing in Agriculture2021,8,1: | 7 |

| 8 | Long-term effects of early antibiotic intervention on blood parameters,apparent nutrient digestibility, and fecal microbial fermentation profile in pigs with different dietary protein levels显示文摘Backgroud: This study aimed to determine the effects of early antibiotic intervention(EAI) on subsequent blood parameters, apparent nutrient digestibility, and fecal fermentation profile in pigs with different dietary crude protein(CP) levels. Eighteen litters of piglets(total 212) were randomly allocated to 2 groups and were fed a creep feed diet with or without in-feed antibiotics(olaquindox, oxytetracycline calcium and kitasamycin) from postnatal d 7 to d 42. On d 42, the piglets within the control or antibiotic group were mixed, respectively, and then further randomly assigned to a normal-(20%, 18%, and 14% CP from d 42 to d 77, d 77 to d 120, and d 120 to d 185,respectively) or a low-CP diet(16%, 14%, and 10% CP from d 42 to d 77, d 77 to d 120, and d 120 to d 185,respectively), generating 4 groups. On d 77(short-term) and d 185(long-term), serum and fecal samples were obtained for blood parameters, microbial composition and microbial metabolism analysis.Results: EAI increased(P < 0.05) albumin and glucose concentrations in low-CP diet on d 77, and increased(P < 0.05) urea concentration in normal-CP diet. On d 185, EAI increased(P < 0.05) globulin concentration in normal-CP diets, but decreased glucose concentration. For nutrient digestibility, EAI increased(P < 0.05)digestibility of CP on d 77. For fecal microbiota, the EAI as well as low-CP diet decreased(P < 0.05) E. coli count on d 77. For fecal metabolites, on d 77, EAI decreased(P < 0.05) total amines concentration but increased skatole concentration in low-CP diet. On d 185, the EAI increased(P < 0.05) putrescine and total amines concentrations in low-CP diets but reduced(P < 0.05) in the normal-CP diets. The low-CP diet decreased the concentrations of these compounds.Conclusions: Collectively, these results indicate that EAI has short-term effects on the blood parameters and fecal microbial fermentation profile. | 9 | Geochemical Characteristics and Tectonic Significance of Triassic Granite from Taer Region, the Northern Margin of West Kunlun显示文摘Late Hercynian-early Indosinian (Triassic) granite is widely distributed around the Taer region of the northern margin of West Kunlun. The rock mass is mainly composed of calc-alkaline porphyroid biotite adamellite and characterized by SiO2-rich, high-Ca, moderate-alkaline, and strongly peraluminous attributes, and relatively low ΣREE with LREE enrichment and a moderate Eu anomaly. As shown in the trace element spider web diagram, distinct peaks appear for Th, La, Nd, and Zr and clearly low values appear for Ba, Nb, Sr, P, and Ti. Further, compared with the primitive mantle, Rb/Sr and Rb/Ba are considerably higher and Nd/Th and Nb/Ta are relative low, all falling into the scope of the crust-origin rocks, indicating the characteristics of the crust-origin S-type granite. The rock mass's zircon U-Pb isotopic age is determined to be 235.7 ± 3.9 Ma. On the basis of the age data, spatio-temporal location, lithology, and geochemistry of the rock mass, we conclude that the formation of the rock mass is closely related to the strong compressional orogenic movement (240 Ma) of the Tianshuihai terrane and the South Kunlun terrane. The rock mass is the product of the collision orogenic movement. | 10 | Differentiation of embryonic versus adult rat neural stem cells into dopaminergic neurons in vitro显示文摘BACKGROUND:It has been reported that the conversion of neural stem cells into dopaminergic neurons in vitro can be increased through specific cytokine combinations. Such neural stem cell-derived dopaminergic neurons could be used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. However, little is known about the differences in dopaminergic differentiation between neural stem cells derived from adult and embryonic rats. OBJECTIVE: To study the ability of rat adult and embryonic-derived neural stem cells to differentiate into dopaminergic neurons in vitro. DESIGN: Randomized grouping design. SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. MATERIALS: This experiment was performed at the Surgical Laboratory in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, Guangdong, China) from June to December 2007. Eight, adult, male, Sprague Dawley rats and eight, pregnant, Sprague Dawley rats (embryonic day 14 or 15) were provided by the Experimental Animal Center of Sun Yat-sen University. METHODS: Neural stem cells derived from adult and embryonic rats were respectively cultivated in serum-free culture medium containing epidermal growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factor. After passaging, neural stem cells were differentiated in medium containing interleukin-1α, interleukin-11, human leukemia inhibition factor, and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor. Six days later, cells were analyzed by immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Alterations in cellular morphology after differentiation of neural stem cells derived from adult and embryonic rats; and percentage of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons in the differentiated cells. RESULTS: Neural stem cells derived from adult and embryonic rats were cultivated in differentiation medium. Six days later, differentiated cells were immunoreactive for tyrosine hydroxylase. The percentage of tyrosine hydroxylase positive neurons was (5.6 ± 2.8)% and (17.8 ± 4.2)% for adult and embryonic cells, respectively, with a significant difference between the groups (P < 0.01). | 11 | Panax notoginseng saponins influence on transplantation of neural stem cell-derived dopaminergic neurons in a rat model of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘BACKGROUND: Dopaminergic neurons differentiated from neural stem cells have been successfully used in the treatment of rat models of Parkinson’s disease; however, the survival rate of transplanted cells has been low. Most cells die by apoptosis as a result of overloaded intracellular calcium and the formation of oxygen free radicals. OBJECTIVE: To observe whether survival of transplanted cells, transplantation efficacy, and dopaminergic differentiation from neural stem cells is altered by Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) in a rat model of Parkinson’s disease. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Cellular and molecular biology experiments with randomized group design. The experiment was performed at the Animal Experimental Center, First Hospital of Sun Yat-sen Uni- versity from April to October 2007. MATERIALS: Thirty-two adult, healthy, male Sprague Dawley rats, and four healthy Sprague Dawley rat embryos at gestational days 14-15 were selected. The right ventral mesencephalon was injected with 6-hydroxydopamine to establish a model of Parkinson’s disease. 6-hydroxydopamine and apomorphine were purchased from Sigma, USA. METHODS: Neural stem cells derived from the mesencephalon of embryonic rats were cultivated and passaged in serum-free culture medium. Lesioned animals were randomly divided into four groups (n = 8): dopaminergic neuron, dopaminergic neuron + PNS, PNS, and control. The dopaminergic neuron group was injected with 3 μL cell suspension containing dopaminergic neurons differentiated from neural stem cells. The dopaminergic neurons + PNS group received 3 μL dopaminergic cell suspension combined with PNS (250 mg/L). The PNS group received 3 μL PNS (250 mg/L), and the control group received 3 μL DMEM/F12 culture medium. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The rats were transcardially perfused with 4% paraformaldehyde at 60 days post-grafting for immunohistochemistry. The rats were intraperitoneally injected with apomorphine (0.5 mg/kg) to induce rotational behavior. RESULTS: Cell counts of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons in the dopaminergic neuron + PNS group were (732±82.6) cells/400-fold field. This was significantly greater than the dopaminergic neuron group [(326 ± 34.8) cells/400-fold field, P < 0.01]. Compared to the control group, the rotational asymmetry of rats that received dopaminergic neuron transplants was significantly decreased, beginning at 20 days after opera- tion (P < 0.01). Rotational asymmetry was further reduced between 10-60 days post-surgery in the dopaminergic neuron + PNS group, compared to the dopaminergic neuron group (P < 0.01). | 12 | Crop positioning for robotic intra-row weeding based on machine vision显示文摘A machine-vision-based method of locating crops is described in this research.This method was used to provide real-time positional information of crop plants for a mechanical intra-row weeding robot.Within the normalized red,green,and blue chromatic coordinates(rgb),a modified excess green feature(g-r>T&g-b>T)was used to segment plant material from back ground in color images.The threshold T was automatically selected by the maximum variance(OTSU)algorithm to cope with variable natural light.Taking into account the geometry of the camera arrangement and the crop row spacing,the target regions covering the crop rows were defined based on a pinhole camera model.According to the statistical variation in the pixel histogram in each target region,locations of the crop plants were initially estimated.To obtain the accurate locations of crops,median filtering was conducted locally in the bounding boxes of the crops close to the bottom of the images.For the lateral guidance of the robot,a novel method of calculating lateral offset was proposed based on a simplified match between a template and the detected crops.Field experiments were conducted under three different illumination conditions.The results showed that the accurate identification rates on lettuce,cauliflower and maize were all above 95%.The positional error as within±15 mm,and the average processing time for a 640×480 image was 31 ms.The method was adequate to meet the technical requirement of the weeding robot,and laid a foundation for robotic weeding in commercial production system. | Li Nan Zhang Chunlong Chen Ziwen Ma Zenghong Sun Zhe Yuan Ting Li Wei Zhang Junxiong | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6: | 4 |

| 15 | SNP Detection of High Density Lipoprotein Binding Protein Gene (HBP) and Its Correlations with Growth Traits in Largemouth Bass(Micropterus salmoides)显示文摘High density lipoprotein binding protein( HBP) plays an important role in lipid metabolism of animals. Lipids are indispensable energy materials for fishes,especially for carnivorous fishes with low utilization efficiency of carbohydrates. The single nucleotide polymorphism( SNP) of HBP gene may affect the fat metabolism,thereby exerting an effect on the growth traits of largemouth bass( Micropterus salmoides). Investigating the correlations between SNP and growth traits can provide candidate markers for molecular marker-assisted selection. In this study,partial genomic fragments of HBP gene( Gen Bank accession number:KF652241) were amplified based on the sequences of an available contig in the EST-SNP database of largemouth bass. Three SNP mutation loci were identified in the 3' non-coding region of HBP gene by direct sequencing,including H1( G + 2782T),H2( T + 2817C) and H3( G + 2857A). Three SNP loci of 165 randomly selected largemouth bass individuals were detected and genotyped by Sna Pshot assay. Genetic structure was analyzed by POPGENE32 software. By using spss17. 0software,a general linear model( GLM) was established for correlation analysis between different genotypes at SNP loci of HBP gene and various growth traits. The results showed that three SNP loci were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium state. To be specific,loci H1 and H2 formed two haplotypes( A and B),and three genotypes( AA,AB,and BB) were observed; loci H1,H2 and H3 formed six diplotypes( D1,D2,D3,D4,D5 and D6). | 16 | Ileum terminal antibiotic infusion affects jejunal and colonic specific microbial population and immune status in growing pigs显示文摘Background: Compared with oral antibiotics(primarily disrupt foregut microbiota), the present study used antibiotics with ileum terminal infusion to disrupt the hindgut microbiota, and investigated the changes in specific bacterial composition and immune indexes in the jejunum and colon, and serum of growing pigs. Twelve barrows(45 d of age, 12.08 ± 0.28 kg) fitted with a T-cannula at the terminal ileum, were randomly assigned to two groups and infused either saline without antibiotics(Control) or with antibiotics(Antibiotic) at the terminal ileum. After 25 d experiment, all pigs were euthanized for analyzing bacterial composition and immune status.Results: Ileum terminal antibiotic infusion(ITAI) altered dominant bacteria counts, with a decrease in Bifidobacterium, Clostridium cluster IV and Clostridium cluster IV in the colon(P < 0.05), and an increase in Escherichia coli in the jejunum(P < 0.05). ITAI decreased(P < 0.05) short-chain fatty acids concentrations in the colon. ITAI decreased interleukin-8(IL-8), IL-10 and secretory immunoglobulin A(sIgA) concentrations, and down-regulated IL-10, Mucin-1(MUC1), Mucin-2(MUC2) and zonula occludens-1(ZO-1) mRNA expression in the colonic mucosa(P < 0.05). In the jejunal mucosa, ITAI decreased interferon-γ(IFN-γ), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), s IgA and IgG levels together with down-regulation of IFN-γ, TNF-α, MUC2 and ZO-1 mRNA expression(P < 0.05). Furthermore, ITAI decreased IL-10, INF-γ, TNF-α, IgA and IgG concentrations in serum(P < 0.05). Correlation analysis revealed that the change in intestinal microbiota was correlated with alterations of Ig and cytokines.Conclusions: ITAI affected jejunal and colonic specific bacteria counts, and altered some immune markers levels in the jejunal and colonic mucosa and serum. | 17 | Three dimensional apple tree organs classification and yield estimation algorithm based on multifeatures fusion and support vector machine显示文摘The automatic classification of apple tree organs is of great significance for automatic pruning of apple trees,automatic picking of apple fruits,and estimation of fruit yield.How-ever,there are some problems of dense foliage,partial occlusion and clustering of apple fruits.All of the problems above would contribute to the difficulties of organs classification and yield estimation of the apple trees.In this paper a method based on Color and Shape Multi-features Fusion and Support Vector Machine(SVM)for 3D apple tree organs classifi-cation and yield estimation was proposed.The method was designed for dwarf and densely planted apple trees at the early and late maturity stages.196-dimensional feature vectors composed with Red Green Blue(RGB),Hue Saturation Value(HSV),Curvatures,Fast Point Feature Histogram(FPFH),and Spin Image were extracted firstly.And then the SVM based on linear kernel function was trained,after that the trained SVM was used for apple tree organs classification.Then the position weighted smoothing algorithm was used for clas-sified apple tree organs smoothing.Then the agglomerative hierarchical clustering algo-rithm was used to recognize single apple fruit for yield estimation.On the same training and test set the experimental results showed that the SVM based on linear kernel function outperformed the KNN algorithm and Ensemble algorithm.The Recall,Precision and F1 score of the proposed method for yield estimation were 93.75%,96.15%and 94.93%respec-tively.In summary,to solve the problems of apple tree organs classification and yield esti-mation in natural apple orchard,a novelty method based on multi-features fusion and SVM was proposed and achieve good performance.Moreover,the proposed method could pro-vide technical support for automatic apple picking,automatic pruning of fruit trees,and automatic information acquisition and management in orchards. | Luzhen Ge Kunlin Zou Hang Zhou Xiaowei Yu Yuzhi Tan Chunlong Zhang Wei Li | 2022 | Information Processing in Agriculture2022,9,3: | 3 |

| 20 | Comparisons of blood biochemical parameters,digestive enzyme activities and volatile fatty acid profile between Meishan and Yorkshire piglets显示文摘This study was conducted to compare physiological characteristics between Meishan and Yorkshire piglets in their early lives. Six healthy purebred Meishan sows and Yorkshire sows with close farrowing dates were used in this research. The piglets sucked their respective sow’s milk for 14 days, then they were slaughtered to collect samples of blood, pancreas, contents of stomach, jejunum, cecum, colon as well as feces for analysis of blood biochemical parameters, digestive enzymes, and volatile fatty acid(VFA). The results showed that Yorkshire piglets had higher concentrations of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and total cholesterol(TC)(P < 0.05). Gastric lipase activity was higher in Meishan piglets but Yorkshire piglets had higher lactase activity(P < 0.05). The total VFA together with acetate and propionate in cecum and colon were higher in Meishan piglets than in Yorkshire piglets(P < 0.05),but acetate in jejunum and ratio of acetate to propionate in colon were lower in Meishan piglets than in Yorkshire piglets(P < 0.05).
