1Rhizobacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Strain SQRT3-Mediated Induced Systemic Resistance Controls Bacterial Wilt of Tomato显示文摘Tomato bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum seriously threats tomato growth in tropical and temperate regions around the world.This study reported an antagonistic bacterial strain, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain SQRT3, isolated from the rhizosphere soil of tomato plants, which strongly inhibited in vitro growth of pathogenic R.solanacearum.The suppression of tomato bacterial wilt by strain SQRT3 was demonstrated under greenhouse conditions.Additionally, induced systemic resistance(ISR) in tomato as one of the potential disease suppression mechanisms was investigated in the plants inoculated with the isolated bacterial strain SQRT3.The results showed that strain SQRT3 applied with R.solanacearum by drenching significantly reduced tomato bacterial wilt by 68.1% biocontrol efficiency(BE) and suppressed the R.solanacearum populations in the rhizosphere soil compared to the control only drenched with R.solanacearum.The BE of the isolated bacterial strain SQRT3 against tomato wilt increased to 84.1%by root-dipping.Tomato plants treated with both strain SQRT3 and R.solanacearum showed increases in activities of peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase compared with other treatments.The application of strain SQRT3 reduced membrane lipid peroxidation in tomato leaves.The expressions of marker genes for jasmonic acid-and salicylic acid-dependent signaling pathways were faster and stronger in tomato plants treated with both strain SQRT3 and R.solanacearum than in plants treated with either R.solanacearum or strain SQRT3 alone.Collectively, the findings indicated that strain SQRT3 can effectively control tomato wilt.LI Chunyu HU Weicong PAN Bin LIU Yan YUAN Saifei DING Yuanyuan LI Rong ZHENG Xinyan SHEN Biao SHEN Qirong 2017Pedosphere2017,27,6:18

3Effects of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and Related Wavebands′ Characteristics on Detecting Spatial Heterogeneity Using Variogram-based Analysis显示文摘Spatial heterogeneity is widely used in diverse applications, such as recognizing ecological process, guiding ecological restoration, managing land use, etc. Many researches have focused on the inherent scale multiplicity of spatial heterogeneity by using various environmental variables. How these variables affect their corresponding spatial heterogeneities, however, have received little attention. In this paper, we examined the effects of characteristics of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and its related bands variable images, namely red and near infrared (NIR), on their corresponding spatial heterogeneity detection based on variogram models. In a coastal wetland region, two groups of study sites with distinct fractal vegetation cover were tested and analyzed. The results show that: 1) in high fractal vegetation cover (H-FVC) area, NDVI and NIR variables display a similar ability in detecting the spatial heterogeneity caused by vegetation growing status structure; 2) in low fractal vegetation cover (L-FVC) area, the NIR and red variables outperform NDVI in the survey of soil spatial heterogeneity; and 3) generally, NIR variable is ubiquitously applicable for vegetation spatial heterogeneity investigation in different fractal vegetation covers. 4Molecular dynamics simulation for surface melting and self-preservation effect of methane hydrate显示文摘The surface melting process of structure sI methane hydrate is simulated at T = 240, 260, 280, and 300 K using NVT molecular dynamics method. The simulation results show that a quasi-liquid layer will be formed during the melting process. The density distribution, translation, orientation, and dynamic properties of water molecules in the quasi-liquid layer are calculated as a function of the distance normal to the interface, which indicates the performance of quasi-liquid layer exhibits a continuous change from crystal-like to liquid-like. The quasi-liquid layer plays as a resistance of mass transfer restraining the diffusion of water and methane molecules during the melting process. The resistance of quasi-liquid layer will restrain methane molecules diffuse from hydrate phase to gas phase and slow the melting process, which can be considered as a possible mechanism of self-preservation effect. The performance of quasi-liquid layer is more crystal-like when the temperature is lower than the melt- ing-point of water, which will exhibit an obvious self-preservation. 5Dahuang Fuzi decoction reduces inflammation levels and alleviates intestinal mucosal barrier damage in septic rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the protective effect of Dahuang Fuzi Decoction(DHFZD),a traditional Chinese prescription,at alleviating sepsis-induced inflammation and gut barrier damage in rats.Methods:Forty clean-grade male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into three groups:normal control group(NCG,n?10),model control group(MCG,n?15)and DHFZD-treated group(DHFZDG,n?15).NCG rats were sham operated on and used as the controls,whereas MCG and DHFZDG rats were used to replicate the rat sepsis model using cecal ligation and puncture(CLP).The DHFZDG rats received DHFZD by gavage(4.5 mg/g of body weight)2 h prior to CLP and after its successful induction,while the NCG and MCG rats received equivalent amounts of sterilized water by gavage.All rat groups were starved and had free access to water.At 24 h post-experimental set up,the mortality of rats in each group was recorded,and peritoneal inflammation assessment and pathological changes related to the intestinal mucosal injury index(IMII)in the surviving rats were evaluated.D-lactic acid,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-a,interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-10 peripheral blood concentrations,along with secretory immunoglobulin A(sIgA)in the intestinal mucosa were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.Gut microbes were detected using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.Results:DHFZD reduced sepsis-related mortality in the rats.Moreover,it alleviated peritoneal inflammation and pathological changes according to the IMII.DHFZD reduced serum procalcitonin,TNF-a and IL-6 concentrations,but not the IL-10 concentration.It also reduced serum D-lactic acid and increased sIgA concentrations in intestinal mucosa.Notably,DHFZDG restored gut microbiota diversity and regulated the decrease in Bacteroidetes induced by sepsis,compared with the MCG rats.Conclusion:DHFZDG may play a protective role in sepsis by alleviating sepsis-induced inflammation and gut barrier damage in rats.Fusheng Liu Chunyue Yu Jin Liu Nadia Johnson Yin Zhang Zeqi Su Chenchen Sun Xia Ding 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1:3

7A rocky hill on the continuous ejecta of Ziwei crater revealed by the Chang’e-3 mission显示文摘The Chinese Chang’e-3 mission landed close to the eastern rim of the ~450 m diameter Ziwei crater. Regional stratigraphy of the landing site and impact excavation model suggest that the bulk continuous ejecta deposits of the Ziwei crater are composed by Erathothenian-aged mare basalts. Along the traverse of the Yutu rover, the western segment features a gentle topographic uplift(~0.5 m high over ~4 m), which is spatially connected with the structurally-uplifted crater rim. Assuming that this broad topographic uplift has physical properties discontinuous with materials below, we use data returned by the high-frequency lunar penetrating radar onboard the Yutu rover to estimate the possible range of relative permittivity for this topographic uplift. Only when the relative permittivity is ~9 is the observed radar reflection consistent with the observed topography, suggesting that the topographic uplift is composed of basaltic blocks that were excavated by the Ziwei crater. This result is consistent both with the impact excavation model that predicts deeper basaltic materials being deposited closer to the crater rim, and with observation of numerous half-buried boulders on the surface of this hill. We note that this study is the first to use topography and radargram data to estimate the relative permittivity of lunar surface uplifts, an approach that has had many successful applications on Mars. 13Effect of normal and strict anaerobic fermentation on physicochemical quality and metabolomics of yogurt显示文摘Generally,yogurts on the market are usually anaerobic fermentation,but oxygen can be still dissolved in the production process,which is actually not strict anaerobic.This study explored the multiple quality indicators and the metabolomic analysis of yogurts fermented by Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus using two fermentation methods,namely,strict anaerobic and normal fermentation.The changes in flavor substances in yogurts,including 17 free amino acids,17 fatty acids,and 7 response value,were detected using principal component and multi factor analyses.Based on the results of the comparisons between basic physical and chemical indicators,strict anaerobic fermentation increased the growth and acidification of the two bacteria,the response value of sourness,umami and richness.Strict anaerobic fermentation increased the free amino acid(Fold change=1.53)and short chain fatty acid levels(Fold change=1.73),and reduced the polyunsaturated fatty acid(Fold change=0.51)levels.Furthermore,metabolomic analysis based on UPLC-Triple TOF-MS/MS showed that 92 differential metabolites were screened;45 differential metabolites were increased and 47 were decreased.The results revealed that strict anaerobic fermentation was beneficial to metabolic changes and nutritional indicators of yogurt,which may be as indicators of valuable reference to improve dairy fermentation process.Ruixue Ding Mohan Li Yiting Zou Yiran Wang Chunyue Yan Haibing Zhang Rina Wu Junrui Wu 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:0
14Microwave-assisted sol-gel synthesis of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles显示文摘A rapid sol-gel method for preparing hydroxyapatite nanoparticles(nHAP) has been developed. Three different sets of experimental conditions, in terms of solvents(water and ethanol), synthesis temperatures(25, 40 and 60℃), and microwave irradiation(on and off) were explored. Crystal phase composition, functional groups and morphology of the products were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The solvent and temperature were optimized based on product properties. Most importantly, the microwave-assisted method(with little to no ageing necessary) was much faster than the conventional methods(with slow ageing processes needing from hours to days), while affording pure nHAP with virtually identical morphological and structural properties. 15Modeling of Mesoscale Creep Behaviors and Macroscale Creep Responses of Composite Fuels Under Irradiation Conditions显示文摘A finite-strain homogenization creep model for composite fuels under irradiation conditions is developed and verified,with the irradiation creep strains of the fuel particles and matrix correlated to the macroscale creep responses,excluding the contributions of volumetric strain induced by the irradiation swelling deformations of fuel particles.A finite element(FE)modeling method for uniaxial tensile creep tests is established with the irradiation effects of nuclear materials taken into account.The proposed models and simulation strategy are numerically implemented to a kind of composite nuclear fuel,and the predicted mesoscale creep behaviors and the macroscale creep responses are investigated.The research results indicate that:(1)the macroscale creep responses and the mesoscale stress and strain fields are all greatly affected by the irradiation swelling of fuel particles,owing to the strengthened mechanical interactions between the fuel particles and the matrix.(2)The effective creep rates for a certain case are approximately two constants before and after the critical fission density,which results from the accelerated fission gas swelling after fuel grain recrystallization,and the effects of macroscale tensile stress will be more enhanced at higher temperatures.(3)The macroscale creep contributions from the fuel particles and matrix depend mainly on the current volume fractions varying with fission density.(4)As a function of the macroscale stress,temperature,initial particle volume fraction and particle fission rate,a multi-variable mathematical model for effective creep rates is fitted out for the considered composite fuels,which matches well with the FE predictions.This study supplies important theoretical models and research methods for the multi-scale creep behaviors of various composite fuels and provides a basis for simulation of the thermal–mechanical behavior in related composite fuel elements and assemblies.Jing Zhang Jingyu Zhang Haoyu Wang Changbing Tang Pan Yuan Chunyu Yin Shurong Ding Yuanming Li 2022Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2022,35,6:0
16Bias Analysis and Correction of Ground Surface Temperature Observations across China显示文摘Based on the ground surface temperature(GST)and snow surface temperature(SST)measurements during the period of adjustment from manual to automatic observation systems in China,the influence of observation methods on GST and its relationship with snow cover is analyzed.GST is corrected by SST,and the correction effect is evaluated.The results show that,during the parallel observation period,the winter GSTs from automatic observations are generally higher than those from manual observations,with the automatically observed national daily GST 1.18°C higher.The adjustment has a greater impact on GSTs at 0200,0800,and 2000 Beijing Time(BT)than at 1400 BT,and it has the greatest impact in Northeast and Northwest China,with deviations of 5.24 and 2.09°C,respectively.The GST deviation is closely related to the snow depth and annual snow totals.The average daily GST deviation increases at the rate of 0.66°C per 1-cm increase of snow depth when it is<15 cm,while it tends to be stable at around 10°C for snow depth over 15 cm.The GST deviation at a station is affected by its winter snow totals in Northeast and Northwest China,where the largest deviations are found where snow totals are all above 1000 cm.After the correction with SST,the mean deviation between the automatic and manual observations as well as the false trend can be effectively reduced.Following the correction,the mean deviation of daily GST decreases by 5.8°C,and its trend decreases from 1.87 to 0.65°C decade-1.Yan CUI Wenhui XU Zijiang ZHOU Chunyu ZHAO Yihui DING Xue AO Xiaoyu ZHOU 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,6:0
17乳腺MRI动态增强对良恶性病变的鉴别价值(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to discuss the diagnostic value of dynamic contrast enhanced-magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in distinguishing malignant tumors of breast from benign lesions. Methods: A DCE-MRI study was performed on 18 benign lesions, 16 malignant tumors and 2 borderline lesions of breast (mean age 51.7 years). The seven items including shape, marginal feature, spreading signs, time-signal intensity curve, maximum slope of increase (MSI), signal enhancement ratio (SER) and signal enhanced extent (SEE) were compared between patients with benign lesions and those with malignant tumors. Results: Shape, marginal feature, spreading signs, time-signal intensity curve, SEE and SER between the benign and malignant groups of breast represented significantly difference except MSI. The 36 cases with breast lesion displayed sensitivity, specificity, accuracy for diagnosing malignant tumor of breast using the scoring method was 93.8%, 83.3% and 88.2%, respectively. 18An updated constraint on the local stratigraphy at the Chang'E-4 landing site显示文摘The Chang’E-4 mission has been exploring the lunar farside.Two scientific targets of the rover onboard are(1)resolving the possible mineralogy related to the South Pole-Aitken basin and(2)understanding the subsurface processes at the lunar farside.Publications to date that are based on the reflectance spectra and radar data obtained by the rover have shown a persistent inconsistency about the local stratigraphy.To explain both the abnormal surface topography at the landing site and the unexpected radargram observed by the rover,the Alder crater has been frequently reported to be older than the mare basalts at that landing site.However,this argument is not supported by earlier geological mapping nor recent crater statistics.Resolving this controversy is critical for a full understanding of the geological history of the landing area and for correct interpretations of the scientific data returned.Employing detailed crater statistics,rigorous statistical analyses,and an updated crater chronology function,this study is determined to resolve the relative ages of the Alder crater,Finsen crater,and the mare basalts on the floor of Von Kármán.Our results reveal that while background secondaries and local resurfacing have widely occurred in the study area,affecting age determinations,the statistics are significant enough to conclude that the Alder crater is the oldest among the three targets.This independent constraint is consistent with both the crosscutting relationships of different terrains in this area and global stratigraphic mapping.Our results exclude Alder as a possible contributor of the post-mare deposits at the landing site,appealing for a more systematic stratigraphy study to resolve the provenances of these deposits.YiRen Chang ZhiYong Xiao YiChen Wang ChunYu Ding Jun Cui YuZhen Cai 2021Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,1:0
19Fine debris flows formed by the Orientale basin显示文摘The prototype for investigations of formation mechanisms and related geological effects of large impact basins on planetary bodies has been the Orientale basin on the Moon.Its widespread secondaries,light plains,and near-rim melt flows have been well mapped in previous studies.Flow features are also widely associated with secondaries on planetary bodies,but their physical properties are not well constrained.The nature of flow features associated with large impact basins are critically important to understand the emplacement process of basin ejecta,which is one of the most fundamental processes in shaping the shallow crusts of planetary bodies.Here we use multisource remote sensing data to constrain the physical properties of flow features formed by the secondaries of the Orientale basin.The results suggest that such flows are dominated by centimeter-scale fine debris fines;larger boulders are not abundant.The shattering of target materials during the excavation of the Orientale basin,landing impact of ejecta that formed the secondaries,and grain comminution within the flows have substantially reduced particle sizes,forming the fine flows.The discovery of global-wide fine debris flows formed by large impact basins has profound implications to the interpretation of both previously-returned samples and remote sensing data.YuZhen Cai ZhiYong Xiao ChunYu Ding Jun Cui 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,3:0
20Defining stratigraphic oil and gas plays by modifying structural plays:A case study from the Xihu Sag,east China Sea Shelf Basin显示文摘The study focuses on an area of relatively mature oil and gas exploration located in the western slope of the Xihu Sag,East China Sea Shelf Basin.Three stratigraphic oil and gas plays are introduced to replenish the shrinking prospect inventory in the area.The reservoirs of these plays are traditional pay intervals of the Eocene Pinghu Formation and Baoshi Formation composed of tide-dominated delta front,tidal flat and delta front sand bar facies.By investigating conventional seismic data,seismic inversion volumes,and well log data,multiple tidal-influenced delta front channels,beach sand packages have been mapped out in different reservoir sand intervals of the Pinghu Formation and Baoshi Formation.We recognize four types of stratigraphic terminations:channel flank pinch-outs,axial pinch-outs of sand-fills,channel mouth sand bar pinch-outs,and onlap pinch-outs for the Baoshi Formation.Both the depositional facies and relatively low sand-shale ratio of the reservoir formations favor the occurrence of stratigraphic terminations.The closure mechanism of all these plays are similar to the traditional structure plays in the area:fault blocks or fault-bounded rollover anticlines,except that one or more closing faults are replaced by these stratigraphic terminations.Several small-sized closures should exist but the relatively large ones are centered around a major intra-slope rise,raising the exploration potential in this maturely explored area.The new exploration drilling campaign has so far tested the play of delta front channel facies,with three out of four wells commercially successful.These play concepts open up a novel approach to identify new traps in the study area and many other rift basins with similar settings in eastern China.Feng Ding Chunyu Xie Xinghai Zhou Cen Jiang Kun Li Lifeng Wan Pei Zhang Huawei Niu 2021Energy Geoscience2021,2,1:0
