A Study of the Kunlun-Qilian-Qinling Suture System显示文摘The Late Neoproterozoic-Early Palaeozoic suture zones within theCentral Orogenic Belt of China can be considered a system-the Kunlun-Qilian-Qinling suture system (KQQ suture system). It is basically divided into the western, central and eastern sectors. The western sector consists of the Küda-Subashi suture zone, the Mazar Kangxiwar suture and the central West Kunlun microblock. The central sector covers the following five suture zones: the Altun, North Qilian, Qaidam northern marginal, Qimantag-Wutuo and East Kunlun southern marginal sutures, in addition to some microblocks such as the mid-south Qilian, Qaidam, Ayakkum and Maqen microblocks. The eastern sector is composed of the Shangdan suture zone, Mianlüe suture zone and central Qinling-Dabie microblock. The KQQ suture system experienced (1) extending-rifting of the Rodinia super-continent in the early-middle Sinian (~780-600 Ma); (2) the formation and evolution of the KQQ archipelagic ocean during the Late Sinian-Ordovician (~600-440 Ma), and (3) closing of the KQQ ocean and forming of the KQQ suture system during the Late Ordovician-early Silurian (~440-400 Ma). As a system comprising many suture zones and microblocks, the KQQ suture system consti tutes the foundation of the Central Orogenic Belt of China.CLC Number:P5 Document ID:Afoundation Item:This study was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (grants 49872077 and 49572153), and the Lu Jiaxi Foundation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.Author Resume:Bian Qiantao Born in 1945; graduated from the Department of Geology, South-Central University of Technology in 1970, and obtained his master's degree and doctor's degree at the Graduate School and the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1981 and 1987, respectively. 2Solving Multicollinearity in Dam Regression Model Using TSVD显示文摘Targeting the multicollinearity problem in dam statistical model and error perturbations resulting from the monitoring process,we built a regularized regression model using Truncated Singular Value Decomposition(TSVD).An earth-rock dam in China is presented and discussed as an example. The analysis consists of three steps:multicollinearity detection, regularization pa-rameter selection, and crack opening modeling and forecasting.Generalized Cross-Validation(GCV) function and L-curve criterion are both adopted in the regularization parameter selection.Partial Least-Squares Regression(PLSR) and stepwise regression are also included for comparison. The result indicates the TSVD can promisingly solve the multicollinearity problem of dam regression models. However,no general rules are available to make a decision when TSVD is superior to stepwise regression and PLSR due to the regularization parameter-choice problem. Both fitting accuracy and coefficients' reasonability should be considered when evaluating the model reliability.XU Chang DENG Chengfa 2011Geo-Spatial Information Science2011,14,3:8
Methane adsorption behavior on coal having different pore structures显示文摘The adsorption of methane onto five dry coal samples was measured at 298 K over the pressure range from 0 to 3.5 MPa using a volumetric method. The isotherm data were fitted to the Langmuir and the Freundlich equations. The kinetic data were fitted to a pseudo second order equation, the linear driving force equation(LDF),and an intra-particle diffusion model. These results showed that higher methane adsorption is correlated with larger micro-pore volumes and specific surface areas. The adsorption was related to the narrow micro-pore size distribution when the previous two parameters are large. The kinetics study showed that the kinetics of methane adsorption onto these five dry coal samples followed a pseudo second order model very well.Methane adsorption rates are controlled by intra-particle diffusion. The faster the intra-particle diffusion, the faster the methane adsorption rate will be.Zhao Yi Jiang Chengfa Chu Wei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,6:7
Syn-tectonic sedimentation and its linkage to fold-thrusting in the region of Zhangjiakou, North Hebei, China显示文摘The timing of the 'Yanshanian Movement' and the tectonic setting that controlled the Yanshan fold-and-thrust belt during Jurassic time in China are still matters of controversy. Sediments that filled the intramontane basins in the Yanshan belt perfectly record the history of 'Yanshanian Movement' and the tectonic background of these basins. Recognizing syn-tectonic sedimentation, clarifying its relationship with structures, and accurately defining strata ages to build up a correct chronostratigraphic framework are the key points to further reveal the timing and kinematics of tectonic deformation in the Yanshan belt from the Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous. This paper applies both tectonic and sedimentary methods on the fold-and-thrust belt and intramontane basins in the Zhangjiakou area, which is located at the intersection between the western Yanshan and northern Taihangshan. Our work suggests that the pre-defined 'Jurassic strata' should be re-dated and sub-divided into three strata units: a Late Triassic to Early Jurassic unit, a Middle Jurassic unit, and a Late Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous unit. Under the control of growth fold-and-thrust structures, five types of growth strata developed in different growth structures: fold-belt foredeep type,thrust-belt foredeep type, fault-propagation fold-thrust structure type, fault-bend fold-thrust structure type, and fault-bend foldthrust plus fault-propagation fold composite type. The reconstructed 'source-to-sink' systems of Late Triassic to Early Jurassic,Middle Jurassic and Late Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous times, which are composed of a fold-and-thrust belt and flexure basins, imply that the 'Yanshanian Movement' in our study area started in the Middle Jurassic. During Middle Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous times, there have been at least three stages of fold-thrust events that developed 'Laramide-type' basementinvolved fold-thrust structures and small-scale intramontane broken 'axial basins'. The westward migration of a 'pair' of basement-involved fold-thrust belt and flexure basins might have been controlled by flat subduction of the western Paleo-Pacific slab from the Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous.Shaofeng LIU Chengfa LIN Xiaobo LIU Qitian ZHUANG 2018Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,6:6
Low-temperature CO oxidation over CuO-CeO_2/SiO_2 catalysts:Effect of CeO_2 content and carrier porosity显示文摘The effects of CeO2 contents and silica carrier porosity with their pore diameters ranging from 5.2 nm to 12.5 nm of CuO-CeO2/SiO2 cata-lysts in CO oxidation were investigated. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption/desorption at low temperature,X-ray diffraction (XRD),temperature-programmed reduction by H2 (H2-TPR),oxygen temperature programmed desorption (O2-TPD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).The results suggested that, the ceria content and the porosity of SiO2 carrier possessed great impacts on the structures and catalytic performances of CuO-CeO2/SiO2 catalysts. When appropriate content of CeO2 (Ce content 8 wt%) was added, the catalytic activity was greatly enhanced. In the catalyst supported on silica carrier with larger pore diameter, higher dispersion of CuO was observed, better agglomeration-resistant capacity was displayed and more lattice oxygen could be found, thus the CuO-CeO2 supported on Si-1 showed higher catalytic activity for low-temperature CO oxidation.Jingjie Luo Wei Chu Huiyuan Xu Chengfa Jiang Tao Zhang 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,4:5
Oxidative dehydrogenation of propane over Ni-Mo-Mg-O catalysts显示文摘In this work, a series of Ni-Mo-Mg-O catalysts with mesoporous structure prepared by sol-gel method were investigated for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP). The techniques of temperature-programmed reduction with H2 (H2-TPR), N2 adsorption-desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) were employed for catalyst characterization. It is found that the activity of the catalysts for ODHP increases first and then decreases with the increase of Mo content. The catalyst with a Mo/Ni atomic ratio of 1/1 exhibits the best catalytic activity, which gives the propene selectivity of 81.4% at a propane conversion of 11.3% under 600°C and maintains the good catalytic performance for 22 h on stream. This is related not only to its high reducibility and dispersion as revealed by TPR and XRD, but also to the formation of more selective oxygen species on the MoOx-NiO interface as identified by XPS.Lin Wang Wei Chu Chengfa Jiang Yuefeng Liu Jie Wen Zaiku Xie 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,1:4
Growth structures and growth strata of the Qianjiadian Basin in the western Yanshan fold and thrust belt, North China显示文摘The northwestward subduction of the Izanagi Plate beneath the eastern Eurasian Plate during the Late Mesozoic caused a series of compressional deformation events in the Yanshan fold and thrust belt(YFTB), but the tectonic deformation timing, tectonic properties and relationship between tectonic uplift and sediment accumulation in the intermontane basins continue to be debated. For this reason, the sedimentology, sediment provenance, and basin structure of the Qianjiadian Basin(QJB) in the northern Beijing region during the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous were studied in detail. The results suggest that a fault-propagation fold-type(FPFT) growth structure and growth strata developed on the western edge of the QJB and that the top part of Member 2 and Member 3 of the Tuchengzi Formation are growth strata controlled by the limb rotation mechanism. In two small thrust faults in the QJB, the Mesoproterozoic Xiamaling Formation is thrust over the Tuchengzi Formation, and these faults may have controlled the development of the fault-bend fold-type growth strata. An analysis of the 'source-to-sink' process suggests that the hanging wall succession of the Shangyi-Pingquan fault(SPF) was the main source area of the Late Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous strata in the QJB. A zircon206 Pb/238 U age of 140.8±2.4 Ma for the volcanic rocks at the bottom of the FPFT growth strata represents the timing of the initiation of FPFT growth structure development. The discovery of the FPFT growth structure and growth strata in the QJB indicate that the QJB was an intermontane flexural basin controlled by fold and thrust structures during the early Early Cretaceous. Near the E-W-trending SPF, the NE-SW-trending Qianjiadian thrust fault(QJTF) and two small intrabasinal thrust faults may constitute a unified right-lateral strike-slip system that formed in response to the northwestward flat subduction of the Izanagi Plate beneath the East Asian continent during the Jurassic-Early Cretaceous.Xiaofei SHI Shaofeng LIU Chengfa LIN 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,7:4
CO oxidation over Co_3O_4/SiO_2 catalysts:Effects of porous structure of silica and catalyst calcination temperature显示文摘The catalytic performances of Co3O4/SiO2 catalysts prepared by incipient wetness impregnation for CO oxidation were investigated using three kinds of silica as carriers with different pore sizes of 7.7,14.0 and 27.0 nm.The effects of calcination temperature on the catalyst surface and micro structure properties as well as catalytic performance for the oxidation of carbon monoxide were also studied. All catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption,XRD,XPS,FTIR,H2-TPR and O2-TPD.It was found that the properties and crystal size of cobalt-containing species strongly depended on the pore size of silica carrier. While the silica pore size increased from 7.7 to 27.0 nm,the Co3O4 crystal size increased from 8.5 to 13.5 nm.Moreover,it was demonstrated that if the spinel crystal structure of Co3O4 was obtained at a calcination temperature as low as 150℃,the catalyst sample would have a high Co3O4 surface dispersion and an increase of surface active species, and thus exhibit a high activity for the oxidation of carbon monoxide.Jian Zheng Wei Chu Hui Zhang Chengfa Jiang Xiaoyan Dai 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,6:4
A CaS:Ce,Sm-based dosimeter for online dosimetry measurement显示文摘A film dosimeter based on optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) material of CaS:Ce,Sm was developed for online irradiation dosimetry measurement. The stimulation is provided by a laser with a wavelength of 980 nm,and the OSL luminescenceis collected by a photodiode.Using 60Co γ-rays,we investigated the dosimetry characteristic of the dosimeter at different dose rates and total doses. The real-time detection results showed that the OSL signals versus total ionizing dose exhibited a good linearity in a dose range of 0.1-185 Gy.SUN Yurun CHEN Zhaoyang FAN Yanwei YAN Shiyou HE Chengfa 2011Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,2:3
Optically stimulated luminescence of Dy^3+-doped NaCaPO4 glass-ceramics显示文摘Dy^3+-doped glass-ceramics containing NaCaPO4 crystals were successfully fabricated by heat treatment at base glass, and the luminescence properties were investigated for potential applications in radiation measurements. The photo luminescence(PL)excitation and emission spectra exhibit transitions related to Dy^3+ions corresponding to the strongest excitation and emission wavelengths at 351 and 575 nm,respectively. The CW-OSL properties as a function of dopant concentration,pre-heating temperature,pre-heating time and signal fading were investigated. The most appropriate Dy^3+ion concentration was found to be 0.25 mol%.The TL glow curves have a broad peak feature peaking at 195±5℃.The fading of the OSL signal would keep stable in five days with the intensity value of about 76.11%.The samples also exhibit good signal reusability and a broad linear dose response range(0.02-1000 Gy).Jie Xu Zhaoyang Chen Minqiang Gai Yanwei Fan Chengfa He 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,9:3

Growth of carbon nanotubes on the novel FeCo-Al_2O_3 catalyst prepared by ultrasonic coprecipitation显示文摘FeCo-Al2O3 catalyst was prepared by an ultrasonic coprecipitation (UC) method for the growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from catalytic decomposition of methane. Its catalytic performance was compared with that of the FeCo-Al2O3 catalyst counterparts prepared by stepwise impregnation (I) and conventional coprecipitation (C) methods, respectively. The structure and properties of the catalysts and the CNTs as produced thereon were investigated by means of XRD,XPS,TEM and N2 adsorption techniques. It was found that the catalyst prepared by the ultrasonic coprecipitation method was more active, and the yield and purity of the synthesized CNTs were promoted evidently. The XPS results revealed that there were more active components on the surface of the catalyst prepared by the ultrasonic coprecipitation method. On the other hand,N2 adsorption demonstrated that the catalyst prepared by the ultrasonic coprecipitation method conferred larger specific surface area, which was beneficial to dispersion of active components.TEM images further confirmed its higher dispersion. These factors could be responsible for its higher activity for the growth of CNTs from catalytic decomposition of methane.Jie Wen Wei Chu Chengfa Jiang Dongge Tong 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,2:2
