Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. This survey will help in the optimization of the data-taking plan over the coming years, and provides physics motivation for the possible upgrade of BEPCⅡ to higher luminosity.M.Ablikim M.N.Achasov P.Adlarson S.Ahmed M.Albrecht M.Alekseev A.Amoroso F.F.An Q.An Y.Bai O.Bakina R.Baldini Ferroli Y.Ban K.Begzsuren J.V.Bennett N.Berger M.Bertani D.Bettoni F.Bianchi J Biernat J.Bloms I.Boyko R.A.Briere L.Calibbi H.Cai X.Cai A.Calcaterra G.F.Cao N.Cao S.A.Cetin J.Chai J.F.Chang W.L.Chang J.Charles G.Chelkov Chen G.Chen H.S.Chen J.C.Chen M.L.Chen S.J.Chen Y.B.Chen H.Y.Cheng W.Cheng G.Cibinetto F.Cossio X.F.Cui H.L.Dai J.P.Dai X.C.Dai A.Dbeyssi D.Dedovich Z.Y.Deng A.Denig Denysenko M.Destefanis S.Descotes-Genon F.De Mori Y.Ding C.Dong J.Dong L.Y.Dong M.Y.Dong Z.L.Dou S.X.Du S.I.Eidelman J.Z.Fan J.Fang S.S.Fang Y.Fang R.Farinelli L.Fava F.Feldbauer G.Felici C.Q.Feng M.Fritsch C.D.Fu Y.Fu Q.Gao X.L.Gao Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.G.Gao Z.Gao B.Garillon I.Garzia E.M.Gersabeck A.Gilman K.Goetzen L.Gong W.X.Gong W.Gradl M.Greco L.M.Gu M.H.Gu Y.T.Gu A.Q.Guo F.K.Guo L.B.Guo R.P.Guo Y.P.Guo A.Guskov S.Han X.Q.Hao F.A.Harris K.L.He F.H.Heinsius T.Held Y.K.Heng Y.R.Hou Z.L.Hou H.M.Hu J.F.Hu T.Hu Y.Hu G.S.Huang J.S.Huang X.T.Huang X.Z.Huang Z.L.Huang N.Huesken T.Hussain W.Ikegami Andersson W.Imoehl M.Irshad Q.Ji Q.P.Ji X.B.Ji X.L.Ji H.L.Jiang X.S.Jiang X.Y.Jiang J.B.Jiao Z.Jiao D.P.Jin S.Jin Y.Jin T.Johansson N.Kalantar-Nayestanaki X.S.Kang R.Kappert M.Kavatsyuk B.C.Ke I.K.Keshk T.Khan A.Khoukaz P.Kiese R.Kiuchi R.Kliemt L.Koch O.B.Kolcu B.Kopf M.Kuemmel M.Kuessner A.Kupsc M.Kurth M.G.Kurth W.Kuhn J.S.Lange P.Larin L.Lavezzi H.Leithoff T.Lenz C.Li Cheng Li D.M.Li F.Li F.Y.Li G.Li H.B.Li H.J.Li J.C.Li J.W.Li Ke Li L.K.Li Lei Li P.L.Li P.R.Li Q.Y.Li W.D.Li W.G.Li X.H.Li X.L.Li X.N.Li X.Q.Li Z.B.Li H.Liang H.Liang Y.F.Liang Y.T.Liang G.R.Liao L.Z.Liao J.Libby C.X.Lin D.X.Lin Y.J.Lin B.Liu B.J.Liu C.X.Liu D.Liu D.Y.Liu F.H.Liu Fang Liu Feng Liu H.B.Liu H.M.Liu Huanhuan Liu Huihui Liu J.B.Liu J.Y.Liu K.Y.Liu Ke Liu Q.Liu S.B.Liu T.Liu X.Liu X.Y.Liu Y.B.Liu Z.A.Liu Zhiqing Liu Y.F.Long X.C.Lou H.J.Lu J.D.Lu J.G.Lu Y.Lu Y.P.Lu C.L.Luo M.X.Luo P.W.Luo T.Luo X.L.Luo S.Lusso X.R.Lyu F.C.Ma H.L.Ma L.L.Ma M.M.Ma Q.M.Ma X.N.Ma X.X.Ma X.Y.Ma Y.M.Ma F.E.Maas M.Maggiora S.Maldaner S.Malde Q.A.Malik A.Mangoni Y.J.Mao Z.P.Mao S.Marcello Z.X.Meng J.G.Messchendorp G.Mezzadri J.Min T.J.Min R.E.Mitchell X.H.Mo Y.J.Mo C.Morales Morales N.Yu.Muchnoi H.Muramatsu A.Mustafa S.Nakhoul Y.Nefedov F.Nerling I.B.Nikolaev Z.Ning S.Nisar S.L.Niu S.L.Olsen Q.Ouyang S.Pacetti Y.Pan M.Papenbrock P.Patteri M.Pelizaeus H.P.Peng K.Peters A.A.Petrov J.Pettersson J.L.Ping R.G.Ping A.Pitka R.Poling V.Prasad M.Qi T.Y.Qi S.Qian C.F.Qiao N.Qin X.P.Qin X.S.Qin Z.H.Qin J.F.Qiu S.Q.Qu K.H.Rashid C.F.Redmer M.Richter M.Ripka A.Rivetti V.Rodin M.Rolo G.Rong J.L.Rosner Ch.Rosner M.Rump A.Sarantsev M.Savrie K.Schoenning W.Shan X.Y.Shan M.Shao C.P.Shen P.X.Shen X.Y.Shen H.Y.Sheng X.Shi X.D Shi J.J.Song Q.Q.Song X.Y.Song S.Sosio C.Sowa S.Spataro F.F.Sui G.X.Sun J.F.Sun L.Sun S.S.Sun X.H.Sun Y.J.Sun Y.K Sun Y.Z.Sun Z.J.Sun Z.T.Sun Y.T Tan C.J.Tang G.Y.Tang X.Tang V.Thoren B.Tsednee I.Uman B.Wang B.L.Wang C.W.Wang D.Y.Wang H.H.Wang K.Wang L.L.Wang L.S.Wang M.Wang M.Z.Wang Wang Meng P.L.Wang R.M.Wang W.P.Wang X.Wang X.F.Wang X.L.Wang Y.Wang Y.F.Wang Z.Wang Z.G.Wang Z.Y.Wang Zongyuan Wang T.Weber D.H.Wei P.Weidenkaff H.W.Wen S.P.Wen U.Wiedner G.Wilkinson M.Wolke L.H.Wu L.J.Wu Z.Wu L.Xia Y.Xia S.Y.Xiao Y.J.Xiao Z.J.Xiao Y.G.Xie Y.H.Xie T.Y.Xing X.A.Xiong Q.L.Xiu G.F.Xu L.Xu Q.J.Xu W.Xu X.P.Xu F.Yan L.Yan W.B.Yan W.C.Yan Y.H.Yan H.J.Yang H.X.Yang L.Yang R.X.Yang S.L.Yang Y.H.Yang Y.X.Yang Yifan Yang Z.Q.Yang M.Ye M.H.Ye J.H.Yin Z.Y.You B.X.Yu C.X.Yu J.S.Yu C.Z.Yuan X.Q.Yuan Y.Yuan A.Yuncu A.A.Zafar Y.Zeng B.X.Zhang B.Y.Zhang C.C.Zhang D.H.Zhang H.H.Zhang H.Y.Zhang J.Zhang J.L.Zhang J.Q.Zhang J.W.Zhang J.Y.Zhang J.Z.Zhang K.Zhang L.Zhang S.F.Zhang T.J.Zhang X.Y.Zhang Y.Zhang Y.H.Zhang Y.T.Zhang Yang Zhang Yao Zhang Yi Zhang Yu Zhang Z.H.Zhang Z.P.Zhang Z.Q.Zhang Z.Y.Zhang G.Zhao J.W.Zhao J.Y.Zhao J.Z.Zhao Lei Zhao Ling Zhao M.G.Zhao Q.Zhao S.J.Zhao T.C.Zhao Y.B.Zhao Z.G.Zhao A.Zhemchugov B.Zheng J.P.Zheng Y.Zheng Y.H.Zheng B.Zhong L.Zhou L.P.Zhou Q.Zhou X.Zhou X.K.Zhou Xingyu Zhou Xiaoyu Zhou Xu Zhou A.N.Zhu J.Zhu J.Zhu K.Zhu K.J.Zhu S.H.Zhu W.J.Zhu X.L.Zhu Y.C.Zhu Y.S.Zhu Z.A.Zhu J.Zhuang B.S.Zou J.H.Zou 2020Chinese Physics C2020,44,4:517
A rapid advice guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infected pneumonia(standard version)显示文摘In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named '2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)' by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. This rapid advice guideline is suitable for the first frontline doctors and nurses, managers of hospitals and healthcare sections, community residents, public health persons, relevant researchers, and all person who are interested in the 2019-nCoV.Ying-Hui Jin Lin Cai Zhen-Shun Cheng Hong Cheng Tong Deng Yi-Pin Fan Cheng Fang Di Huang Lu-Qi Huang Qiao Huang Yong Han Bo Hu Fen Hu Bing-Hui Li Yi-Rong Li Ke Liang Li-Kai Lin Li-Sha Luo Jing Ma Lin-Lu Ma Zhi-Yong Peng Yun-Bao Pan Zhen-Yu Pan Xue-Qun Ren Hui-Min Sun Ying Wang Yun-Yun Wang Hong Weng Chao-Jie Wei Dong-Fang Wu Jian Xia Yong Xiong Hai-Bo Xu Xiao-Mei Yao Yu-Feng Yuan Tai-Sheng Ye Xiao-Chun Zhang Ying-Wen Zhang Yin-Gao Zhang Hua-Min Zhang Yan Zhao Ming-Juan Zhao Hao Zi Xian-Tao Zeng Yong-Yan Wang Xing-Huan Wang 2020Military Medical Research2020,7,1:161
Resveratrol provides neuroprotection by regulating the JAK2/STAT3/PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway after stroke in rats显示文摘Ischemic stroke is a common disease with high mortality and morbidity worldwide. One of the important pathophysiological effects of ischemic stroke is apoptosis.A neuroprotective effect is defined as the inhibition of neuronal apoptosis to rescue or delay the infarction in the surviving ischemic penumbra.Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol that reportedly prevents cerebral ischemia injury by regulating the expression of PI3K/AKT/mTOR.Therefore,this study aimed to elucidate the neuroprotective effect of resveratrol on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury and to investigate the signaling pathways and mechanisms through which resveratrol regulates apoptosis in the ischemic penumbra.Rats were subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion for 2 h followed by 24 h reperfusion.Cerebral infarct volume was measured using 2%TTC staining.TUNEL staining was conducted to evaluate neuronal apoptosis.Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the proteins involved in the JAK2/STAT3/PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. The results suggested that resveratrol significantly improved neurological function, reduced cerebral infarct volume, decreased neuronal damage, and markedly attenuated neuronal apoptosis;these effects were attenuated by the inhibition of PI3K/AKT with LY294002 and JAK2/STAT3 with AG490.We also found that resveratrol significantly upregulated the expression of p-JAK2,p-STAT3,p-AKT,p-mTOR,and BCL-2 and downregulated expression of cleaved caspase-3 and BAX,which was partially reversed by LY294002 and AG490.These results suggested that resveratrol provides a neuroprotective effect against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, which is partially mediated by the activation of JAK2/STAT3 and PI3K/AKT/mTOR.Resveratrol may indirectly upregulate the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway by activating JAK2/STAT3.Yongying Hou Ke Wang Weijun Wan Yue Cheng Xia Pu Xiufeng Ye 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,3:60
Programmable time-domain digital-coding metasurface for non-linear harmonic manipulation and new wireless communication systems显示文摘Optical non-linear phenomena are typically observed in natural materials interacting with light at high intensities, and they benefit a diverse range of applications from communication to sensing. However, controlling harmonic conversion with high efficiency and flexibility remains a major issue in modern optical and radio-frequency systems. Here, we introduce a dynamic time-domain digital-coding metasurface that enables efficient manipulation of spectral harmonic distribution. By dynamically modulating the local phase of the surface reflectivity, we achieve accurate control of different harmonics in a highly programmable and dynamic fashion, enabling unusual responses, such as velocity illusion. As a relevant application, we propose and realize a novel architecture for wireless communication systems based on the time-domain digital-coding metasurface, which largely simplifies the architecture of modern communication systems, at the same time yielding excellent performance for real-time signal transmission. The presented work, from new concept to new system, opens new pathways in the application of metamaterials to practical technology.Jie Zhao Xi Yang Jun Yan Dai Qiang Cheng Xiang Li Ning Hua Qi Jun Chen Ke Guo Dong Bai Shuo Liu Shi Jin Andrea Alù Tie Jun Cui 2019National Science Review2019,6,2:46

Study of BESIII trigger efficiencies with the 2018 J/ψ data显示文摘Using a dedicated data sample taken in 2018 on the J/ψpeak,we perform a detailed study of the trigger efficiencies of the BESIII detector.The efficiencies are determined from three representative physics processes,namely Bhabha scattering,dimuon production and generic hadronic events with charged particles.The combined efficiency of all active triggers approaches 100%in most cases,with uncertainties small enough not to affect most physics analyses.M.Ablikim M.N.Achasov P.Adlarson S.Ahmed M.Albrecht R.Aliberti A.Amoroso M.R.An Q.An X.H.Bai Y.Bai O.Bakina R.Baldini Ferroli I.Balossino Y.Ban K.Begzsuren N.Berger M.Bertani D.Bettoni F.Bianchi J.Bloms A.Bortone I.Boyko R.A.Briere H.Cai X.Cai A.Calcaterra G.F.Cao N.Cao S.A.Cetin J.F.Chang W.L.Chang G.Chelkov D.Y.Chen G.Chen H.S.Chen M.L.Chen S.J.Chen X.R.Chen Y.B.Chen Z.J Chen W.S.Cheng G.Cibinetto F.Cossio X.F.Cui H.L.Dai X.C.Dai A.Dbeyssi R.E.de Boer D.Dedovich Z.Y.Deng A.Denig I.Denysenko M.Destefanis F.De Mori Y.Ding C.Dong J.Dong L.Y.Dong M.Y.Dong X.Dong S.X.Du Y.L.Fan J.Fang S.S.Fang Y.Fang R.Farinelli L.Fava F.Feldbauer G.Felici C.Q.Feng J.H.Feng M.Fritsch C.D.Fu Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.G.Gao I.Garzia P.T.Ge C.Geng E.M.Gersabeck A Gilman K.Goetzen L.Gong W.X.Gong W.Gradl M.Greco L.M.Gu M.H.Gu S.Gu Y.T.Gu C.Y Guan A.Q.Guo L.B.Guo R.P.Guo Y.P.Guo A.Guskov T.T.Han W.Y.Han X.Q.Hao F.A.Harris H Hüsken K.L.He F.H.Heinsius C.H.Heinz T.Held Y.K.Heng C.Herold M.Himmelreich T.Holtmann Y.R.Hou Z.L.Hou H.M.Hu J.F.Hu T.Hu Y.Hu G.S.Huang L.Q.Huang X.T.Huang Y.P.Huang Z.Huang T.Hussain W.Ikegami Andersson W.Imoehl M.Irshad S.Jaeger S.Janchiv Q.Ji Q.P.Ji X.B.Ji X.L.Ji H.B.Jiang X.S.Jiang J.B.Jiao Z.Jiao S.Jin Y.Jin T.Johansson N.Kalantar-Nayestanaki X.S.Kang R.Kappert M.Kavatsyuk B.C.Ke I.K.Keshk A.Khoukaz P.Kiese R.Kiuchi R.Kliemt L.Koch O.B.Kolcu B.Kopf M.Kuemmel M.Kuessner A.Kupsc M.G.Kurth W.Kühn J.J.Lane J.S.Lange P.Larin A.Lavania L.Lavezzi Z.H.Lei H.Leithoff M.Lellmann T.Lenz C.Li C.H.Li Cheng Li D.M.Li F.Li G.Li H.Li H.Li H.B.Li H.J.Li J.L.Li J.Q.Li J.S.Li Ke Li L.K.Li Lei Li P.R.Li S.Y.Li W.D.Li W.G.Li X.H.Li X.L.Li Z.Y.Li H.Liang H.Liang H.Liang Y.F.Liang Y.T.Liang L.Z.Liao J.Libby C.X.Lin B.J.Liu C.X.Liu D.Liu F.H.Liu Fang Liu Feng Liu H.B.Liu H.M.Liu Huanhuan Liu Huihui Liu J.B.Liu J.L.Liu J.Y.Liu K.Liu K.Y.Liu Ke Liu L.Liu M.H.Liu P.L.Liu Q.Liu Q.Liu S.B.Liu Shuai Liu T.Liu W.M.Liu X.Liu Y.Liu Y.B.Liu Z.A.Liu Z.Q.Liu X.C.Lou F.X.Lu H.J.Lu J.D.Lu J.G.Lu X.L.Lu Y.Lu Y.P.Lu C.L.Luo M.X.Luo b P.W.Luo T.Luo X.L.Luo S.Lusso X.R.Lyu F.C.Ma H.L.Ma L.L.Ma M.M.Ma Q.M.Ma R.Q.Ma R.T.Ma X.X.Ma X.Y.Ma F.E.Maas M.Maggiora S.Maldaner S.Malde Q.A.Malik A.Mangoni Y.J.Mao Z.P.Mao S.Marcello Z.X.Meng J.G.Messchendorp G.Mezzadri T.J.Min R.E.Mitchell X.H.Mo Y.J.Mo N.Yu.Muchnoi H.Muramatsu S.Nakhoul Y.Nefedov F.Nerling I.B.Nikolaev Z.Ning S.Nisar S.L.Olsen Q.Ouyang S.Pacetti X.Pan Y.Pan A.Pathak P.Patteri M.Pelizaeus H.P.Peng K.Peters J.Pettersson J.L.Ping R.G.Ping R.Poling V.Prasad H.Qi H.R.Qi K.H.Qi M.Qi T.Y.Qi T.Y.Qi S.Qian W.-B.Qian Z.Qian C.F.Qiao L.Q.Qin X.S.Qin Z.H.Qin J.F.Qiu S.Q.Qu K.H.Rashid K.Ravindran C.F.Redmer A.Rivetti V.Rodin M.Rolo G.Rong Ch.Rosner M.Rump H.S.Sang A.Sarantsev Y.Schelhaas C.Schnier K.Schoenning M.Scodeggio D.C.Shan W.Shan X.Y.Shan J.F.Shangguan M.Shao C.P.Shen P.X.Shen X.Y.Shen H.C.Shi R.S.Shi X.Shi X.D Shi W.M.Song Y.X.Song S.Sosio S.Spataro K.X.Su P.P.Su F.F.Sui G.X.Sun H.K.Sun J.F.Sun L.Sun S.S.Sun T.Sun W.Y.Sun X Sun Y.J.Sun Y.K.Sun Y.Z.Sun Z.T.Sun Y.H.Tan Y.X.Tan C.J.Tang G.Y.Tang J.Tang J.X.Teng V.Thoren I.Uman B.Wang C.W.Wang D.Y.Wang H.J.Wang H.P.Wang K.Wang L.L.Wang M.Wang M.Z.Wang Meng Wang W.Wang W.H.Wang W.P.Wang X.Wang X.F.Wang X.L.Wang Y.Wang Y.D.Wang Y.F.Wang Y.Q.Wang Y.Y.Wang Z.Wang Z.Y.Wang Ziyi Wang Zongyuan Wang D.H.Wei P.Weidenkaff F.Weidner S.P.Wen D.J.White U.Wiedner G.Wilkinson M.Wolke L.Wollenberg J.F.Wu L.H.Wu L.J.Wu X.Wu Z.Wu L.Xia H.Xiao S.Y.Xiao Z.J.Xiao X.H.Xie Y.G.Xie Y.H.Xie T.Y.Xing G.F.Xu Q.J.Xu W.Xu X.P.Xu F.Yan L.Yan W.B.Yan W.C.Yan Xu Yan H.J.Yang H.X.Yang L.Yang S.L.Yang Y.X.Yang Yifan Yang Zhi Yang M.Ye M.H.Ye J.H.Yin Z.Y.You B.X.Yu C.X.Yu G.Yu J.S.Yu T.Yu C.Z.Yuan L.Yuan X.Q.Yuan Y.Yuan Z.Y.Yuan C.X.Yue A.Yuncu A.A.Zafar Y.Zeng B.X.Zhang Guangyi Zhang H.Zhang H.H.Zhang H.Y.Zhang J.J.Zhang J.L.Zhang J.Q.Zhang J.W.Zhang J.Y.Zhang J.Z.Zhang Jianyu Zhang Jiawei Zhang L.Q.Zhang Lei Zhang S.Zhang S.F.Zhang Shulei Zhang X.D.Zhang X.Y.Zhang Y.Zhang Y.H.Zhang Y.T.Zhang Yan Zhang Yao Zhang Yi Zhang Z.H.Zhang Z.Y.Zhang G.Zhao J.Zhao J.Y.Zhao J.Z.Zhao Lei Zhao Ling Zhao M.G.Zhao Q.Zhao S.J.Zhao Y.B.Zhao Y.X.Zhao Z.G.Zhao A.Zhemchugov B.Zheng J.P.Zheng Y.Zheng Y.H.Zheng B.Zhong C.Zhong L.P.Zhou Q.Zhou X.Zhou X.K.Zhou X.R.Zhou A.N.Zhu J.Zhu K.Zhu K.J.Zhu S.H.Zhu T.J.Zhu W.J.Zhu W.J.Zhu Y.C.Zhu Z.A.Zhu B.S.Zou J.H.Zou 2021Chinese Physics C2021,45,2:33
Fast track clinical pathway implications in esophagogastrectomy显示文摘AIM:To investigate the feasibility of fast track clinical pathway for esophageal tumor resections. METHODS:One hundred and fourteen patients with esophageal carcinoma who underwent esophagogastrectomy from January 2006 to October 2007 in our department were studied.Fast track clinical pathway included analgesia control, fluid infusion volume control, early ambulation and enteral nutrition. Nasogastric tube was removed 3 d after operation and chest tube was removed 4 d after operation as a routine, and full liquid diet 5 d after operation. RESULTS:Among 114 patients(84 men and 30 women),26 patients underwent fast track surgery, including 17 patients over 65 years old and 9 under 65(P=0.014);18 patients who had preoperative complications could not bear fast track surgery(P< 0.001).No significant differences in tolerance of fast track surgery were attributed to differences in gender, differentiated degree or stage of tumor, pathological type of tumor,or operative incision. The median length of hospital stay was 7 d(5-28 d),4%patients were readmitted to hospital within 30 d of discharge.Three patients died and postoperative mortality was 2.6%. All 3 patients had no determinacy to fast track surgery approach.CONCLUSION:The majority of patients with esophageal carcinoma can tolerate fast track surgery. Patients younger than 65 or who have no preoperative diseases have the best results.Median length of hospital stay has been reduced to 7 d.Ke Jiang Lin Cheng Jian-Jun Wang Jin-Song Li Jun Nie 2009World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,4:24
Laboratory culture of the freshwater benthic gastropod Bellamya aeruginosa (Reeve) and its utility as a test species for sediment toxicity显示文摘This study aimed to develop original laboratory culture and sediment toxicity testing protocols for the freshwater gastropod Bellamya aeruginosa(Reeve),a new potential species for sediment toxicity testing.B.aeruginosa was successfully cultured with an effective culture system under proposed laboratory conditions.Optimal ad libitum feeding levels for larvae, juveniles, and adults were 2.0,6.0,and 16.0 mg fish food/(snail·day),respectively.Mean survival rates of juveniles were higher than 90%.The snails could be sexed at 9 weeks of age,and their generation time is approximately 4 months.Reproduction continued all year around;the mean fecundity was 0.55 newborn/(female·day).The utility of this species for bioassays was evaluated in both 10-day and 28-day case studies with artificial sediments. The 10-day LC50 of Cu for larvae was 480 μg/g dry weight(dw),and the lowest observed effects concentration of Cu for survival and growth of larvae was 195 μg/g dw.Survival and growth are reliable indicators of acute toxicity.Larvae accumulated more Cu than adults.B.aeruginosa exhibited a higher sensitivity to Cu exposure than standard test species(Hyalella azteca and Chironomus tentans). The 28-day test of sediment toxicity with adults showed that fecundity was a robust endpoint indicator of reproductive toxicity, and the biochemical endpoints of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione could be used as sensitive biomarkers for Cu-induced oxidative damage.B.aeruginosa can be therefore recommended as a candidate for the standardization of the freshwater sediment toxicity test protocol.Taowu Ma Shuangjiao Gong Ke Zhou Cheng Zhu Kaidong Deng Qinghua Luo Zijian Wang 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2:22
New technological partition for “three zones” spontaneous coal combustion in goaf显示文摘On detailed analysis basis of spontaneous coal combustion for the three zones in mine goaf,we use O2 and CO concentrations to divide the three zones of the coal combustion.Through our experiment,we selected a typical working face and focused on the changes in gas concentrations. In order to overcome establishment limitations of actual layout location and underground conditions in a mine goaf,we based our observations on the three zones, combined them with numerical simulation, described the distribution and the changes in O2 and CO concentrations during the coal spontaneous combustion in the goaf, which provided us with an understanding of the distribution of coal spontaneous combustion in the three zones in the form of maps.Essentially, our study summarizes the changes of O2and CO concentrations in the entire goaf and shows them to be in agreement with our observations at the scene. The study shows that it is feasible to divide the three zones, given our comprehensive targets of O2,CO and our numerical simulation. This method avoids the limitation of dividing the three zones with a single target and the likely errors of observations at the scene. In addition, the method offers a basis for optimizing measures of fre-fghting with important and practical effects.Pan Rongkun Cheng Yuanping Yu Minggao Lu Chang Yang Ke 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,4:20
Mechanism of electroacupuncture on inflammatory pain: neural-immune-endocrine interactions显示文摘Nociceptive signals are transmitted by peripheral afferents to the central nervous system under pain condition, a process that involves various neurotransmitters and pathways. Electroacupuncture (EA) has been widely used as a pain management technique in clinical practice. Emerging studies have shown that EA can inhibit the induction and transmission of pain signals and, consequently, mediate anti-nociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects by rebalancing the neural-immune-endocrine interactions. This review summarizes the neural-immune- endocrine circuit including peripheral afferent and central efferent, contributing to EA-induced neuroimmune and neuroendocrine modulation in inflammatory pain models. The peripheral afferent circuit includes crosstalk among immune cells, inflammatory cytokines, peripheral nociceptors. In central efferent primarily involves the neuroinflammatory interactions between spinal nociceptive neurons and glial cells. Furthermore, the hypothalamic- pituitary-adrenal axis, sympathetic and vagal nervous may serve as an essential pathway involved in the mechanism of acupuncture-mediated analgesia within the interactions of the central, immune and endocrine systems. Overall, this review focuses on the interactions of neural-immune-endocrine in inflammatory pain, which may be underlying the mechanism of EA-induced anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive effect.Li Yuan Yang Mingxiao Wu Fan Cheng Ke Chen Haiyong Shen Xueyong Lao Lixing 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,5:20
Association between Ambient Air Pollution and Hospital Emergency Admissions for Respiratory and Cardiovascular Diseases in Beijing: a Time Series Study显示文摘Objective To investigate the association between ambient air pollution and hospital emergency admissions in Beijing. Methods In this study, a semi-parametric generalized additive model(GAM) was used to evaluate the specific influences of air pollutants(PM10, SO2, and NO2) on hospital emergency admissions with different lag structures from 2009 to 2011, the sex and age specific influences of air pollution and the modifying effect of seasons on air pollution to analyze the possible interaction. Results It was found that a 10 μg/m3 increase in concentration of PM10 at lag 03 day, SO2 and NO2 at lag 0 day were associated with an increase of 0.88%, 0.76%, and 1.82% respectively in overall emergency admissions. A 10 μg/m3 increase in concentration of PM10, SO2 and NO2 at lag 5 day were associated with an increase of 1.39%, 1.56%, and 1.18% respectively in cardiovascular disease emergency admissions. 13Radiomics approach for preoperative identification of stages Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳ of esophageal cancer显示文摘Objective: To predict preoperative staging using a radiomics approach based on computed tomography(CT)images of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods: This retrospective study included 154 patients(primary cohort: n=114; validation cohort: n=40) with pathologically confirmed ESCC. All patients underwent a preoperative CT scan from the neck to abdomen. High throughput and quantitative radiomics features were extracted from the CT images for each patient. A radiomics signature was constructed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Lasso). Associations between radiomics signature, tumor volume and ESCC staging were explored. Diagnostic performance of radiomics approach and tumor volume for discriminating between stages Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ was evaluated and compared using the receiver operating characteristics(ROC) curves and net reclassification improvement(NRI).Results: A total of 9,790 radiomics features were extracted. Ten features were selected to build a radiomics signature after feature dimension reduction. The radiomics signature was significantly associated with ESCC staging(P<0.001), and yielded a better performance for discrimination of early and advanced stage ESCC compared to tumor volume in both the primary [area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC): 0.795 vs. 0.694,P=0.003; NRI=0.424)] and validation cohorts(AUC: 0.762 vs. 0.624, P=0.035; NRI=0.834).Conclusions: The quantitative approach has the potential to identify stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ ESCC before treatment.Lei WU Cong Wang Xianzheng Tan Zixuan Cheng Ke Zhao Lifen Yan Yanli Liang Zaiyi Liu Changhong Liang 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,4:14

Accurate and broadband manipulations of harmonic amplitudes and phases to reach 256 QAM millimeter-wave wireless communications by time-domain digital coding metasurface显示文摘We propose a theoretical mechanism and new coding strategy to realize extremely accurate manipulations of nonlinear electromagnetic harmonics in ultrawide frequency band based on a time-domain digital coding metasurface(TDCM).Using the proposed mechanism and coding strategy,we design and fabricate a millimeter-wave(mmWave) TDCM,which is composed of reprogrammable meta-atoms embedded with positive-intrinsic-negative diodes.By controlling the duty ratios and time delays of the digital coding sequences loaded on a TDCM,experimental results show that both amplitudes and phases of different harmonics can be engineered at will simultaneously and precisely in broad frequency band from 22 to33 GHz,even when the coding states are imperfect, which is in good agreement with theoretical calculations.Based on the fabricated high-performance TDCM,we further propose and experimentally realize a large-capacity mmWave wireless communication system, where 256 quadrature amplitude modulation, along with other schemes,is demonstrated. The new wireless communication system has a much simpler architecture than the currently used mmWave wireless systems, and hence can significantly reduce the hardware cost.We believe that the proposed method and system architecture can find vast application in future mmWave and terahertz-wave wireless communication and radar systems.Ming Zheng Chen Wankai Tang Jun Yan Dai Jun Chen Ke Lei Zhang Cheng Zhang Jin Yang Lianlin Li Qiang Cheng Shi Jin Tie Jun Cui 2022National Science Review2022,9,1:13
Mushroom Poisoning Outbreaks-China,2020显示文摘What is already known about this topic?Acute liver failure, rhabdomyolysis, acute renal failure, and hemolysis caused by poisonous mushrooms are the most important mushroom poisoning threats to the Chinese population. The most notorious lethal mushrooms are the species from genera Amanita,Lepiota, and Galerina that cause acute liver failure, and Russula subnigricans that leads to rhabdomyolysis. What is added by this report? In 2020,the total number of investigations reached 676,involving an estimated 102 species of poisonous mushrooms,24 of which were newly recorded in China.Gyromitra venenata was newly discovered in incidents in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces and were the first reported poisonings due to gyromitrins in China since 2000.The rare poisoning Shiitake mushroom dermatitis was recorded in China.Hemolysis poisoning caused by Paxillus involutus was recorded for the second time since the beginning of the new century, resulting in one death in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. What are the implications for public health practice?Promoting knowledge about safe consumption of mushrooms is essential to reduce mushroom poisonings. It is not wise to collect and eat wild mushrooms. For southwestern provinces such as Yunnan, especially, caution must be exercised with unfamiliar mushroom species.Haijiao Li Hongshun Zhang Yizhe Zhang Jing Zhou Yu Yin Qian He Shaofeng Jiang Peibin Ma Yutao Zhang Ke Wen Yuan Yuan Nan Lang Bowen Cheng Junjia Lu Chengye Sun 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,3:13
Effects of quaternary ammonium chain length on the antibacterial and remineralizing effects of a calcium phosphate nanocomposite显示文摘Composites containing nanoparticles of amorphous calcium phosphate(NACP)remineralize tooth lesions and inhibit caries.A recent study synthesized quaternary ammonium methacrylates(QAMs)with chain lengths(CLs)of 3–18 and determined their effects on a bonding agent. This study aimed to incorporate these QAMs into NACP nanocomposites for the first time to simultaneously endow the material with antibacterial and remineralizing capabilities and to investigate the effects of the CL on the mechanical and biofilm properties.Five QAMs were synthesized:DMAPM(CL3),DMAHM(CL6),DMADDM(CL12),DMAHDM(CL16),and DMAODM(CL18).Each QAM was incorporated into a composite containing 20%NACP and 50%glass fillers.A dental plaque microcosm biofilm model was used to evaluate the antibacterial activity. The flexural strength and elastic modulus of nanocomposites with QAMs matched those of a commercial control composite(n 5 6;P.0.1).Increasing the CL from 3 to 16 greatly enhanced the antibacterial activity of the NACP nanocomposite(P,0.05);further increasing the CL to 18 decreased the antibacterial potency. The NACP nanocomposite with a CL of 16 exhibited biofilm metabolic activity and acid production that were 10-fold lesser than those of the control composite. The NACP nanocomposite with a CL of 16 produced 2-log decreases in the colony-forming units(CFU)of total microorganisms, total streptococci, and mutans streptococci. In conclusion,QAMs with CLs of 3–18 were synthesized and incorporated into an NACP nanocomposite for the first time to simultaneously endow the material with antibacterial and remineralization capabilities.Increasing the CL reduced the metabolic activity and acid production of biofilms and caused a 2-log decrease in CFU without compromising the mechanical properties.Nanocomposites exhibiting strong anti-biofilm activity, remineralization effects, and mechanical properties are promising materials for tooth restorations that inhibit caries.Ke Zhang Lei Cheng Michael D Weir Yu-Xing Bai Hockin HK Xu 2016International Journal of Oral Science2016,8,1:13
Molecular Typing of Leptospira interrogans Strains Isolated from Rattus tanezumi in Guizhou Province,Southwest of China显示文摘Objective To identify and type three leptospires isolated from Rattus tanezumi in Guizhou Province by using three molecular techniques (PFGE, MLVA, and MLST), reveal the molecular characteristic of causative agents of local leptospirosis and evaluate these three molecular methods based on their detection resolution and efficiency. Methods Three Leptospira strains were isolated from the kidney of Rattus tanezumi and cultured with EMJH medium. PFGE, MLVA, and MLST assays were applied to type the three strains isolated from Rattus tanezumi in Guizhou Province. Results PFGE, MLVA, and MLST typing showed that the three leptospiral isolates matched with leptospiral serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae serovar Lai. The findings of the genotyping methods were consistent. MLVA and MLST defined genotypes, whereas PFGE allowed the recognition of additional subgroups within the genotypes, and the findings of molecular typing were also consistent with those of traditional techniques. Conclusion Three leptospiral isolates from Guizhou Province matched with leptospiral serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae serovar Lai, and PFGE, MLVA, and MLST, as reliable molecular techniques for identifying and typing of Leptospira interrogans, would contribute to the active surveillance, outbreak investigation and source tracking for leptospirosis in Guizhou Province.LI Shi Jun ZHANG Cui Cai LI Xiu Wen TIAN Ke Cheng TANG Guang Peng WANG Ding Ming LIU Ying NIE Yi Xin JIANG Xiu Gao 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,5:12
