| 1 | Efficient InGaN-based yellow-light-emitting diodes显示文摘Realization of efficient yellow-light-emitting diodes(LEDs) has always been a challenge in solid-state lighting.Great effort has been made, but only slight advancements have occurred in the past few decades. After comprehensive work on InGaN-based yellow LEDs on Si substrate, we successfully made a breakthrough and pushed the wall-plug efficiency of 565-nm-yellow LEDs to 24.3% at 20 A∕cm^2 and 33.7% at 3 A∕cm^2. | 2 | Efficient emission of InGaN-based light-emitting diodes:toward orange and red显示文摘Indium gallium nitride(InGaN)-based light-emitting diodes(LEDs)are considered a promising candidate for red-green-blue(RGB)micro displays.Currently,the blue and green LEDs are efficient,while the red ones are inefficient for such applications.This paper reports our work of creating efficient InGaN-based orange and red LEDs on silicon(111)substrates at low current density.Based on the structure of InGaN yellow LEDs,by simply reducing the growth temperature of all the yellow quantum wells(QWs),we obtained 599 nm orange LEDs with peak wall-plug efficiency(WPE)of 18.1%at 2 A/cm^2.An optimized QW structure was proposed that changed two of the nine yellow QWs to orange ones.Compared with the sample containing nine orange QWs,the sample with two orange QWs and seven yellow QWs showed similar emission spectra but a much higher peak WPE up to 24.0%at 0.8 A/cm^2 with a wavelength of 608 nm.The improvement of peak WPE can be attributed to the improved QW quality and the reduced active recombination volume.Subsequently,a series of efficient InGaN-based orange and red LEDs was demonstrated.With further development,the InGaN-based red LEDs are believed to be attainable and can be used in micro LED displays. | Shengnan Zhang Jianli Zhang Jiangdong Gao Xiaolan Wang Changda Zheng Meng Zhang Xiaoming Wu Longquan Xu Jie Ding Zhijue Quan Fengyi Jiang | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,11: | 10 |
| 3 | Jurassic Hornblende Gabbros in Dongga,Eastern Gangdese,Tibet:Partial Melting of Mantle Wedge and Implications for Crustal Growth显示文摘The Gangdese batholith, more than 2500 km in length, is composed mainly of JurassicMiocene igneous rocks. This batholith is one of the most important constituents of the Tibetan orogenesis and provides an ideal place for study of Neo-Tethyan ocean geodynamic evolution and plateau uplift. Recent studies on the Gangdese Jurassic felsic magmatism highlight its juvenile source. However, important aspects concerning the genesis of the juvenile magmatism and related deep geodynamic evolution are still unclear. Here, we report detailed petrological, geochronological, geochemical, whole-rock Sr-Nd isotopic, and in situ Sr-Hf isotopic data for a recently identified hornblende gabbro in the Dongga area, southern Lhasa sub-block. This hornblende gabbro is dominated by hornblende and plagioclase, dated at Early Jurassic(ca. 180–190 Ma), and characterized by a narrow compositional range in SiO_2(49.38wt%–52.27wt%), MgO(4.08wt%–7.00wt%), FeO(10.43wt%–11.77wt%), Na_2O(2.58wt%–3.51wt%), and K_2O(0.48wt%–1.53wt%). It has depleted isotopic signatures, with whole-rock(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i ratios of 0.7033–0.7043, ε_(Nd)(t) values of +4.90 to +6.99, in situ plagioclase(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i ratios of 0.7034–0.7042, and zircon ε_(Hf)(t) of +12.2 to +16.8. Our results integrated with published data suggest a model of Gangdese juvenile crustal growth by a subduction-related water-enriched mantle wedge. The hydrous partial melting of the lithosphere mantle was triggered by the dehydration of a Neo-Tethyan oceanic slab. | 5 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 7 | Glycyrrhiza uralensis flavonoids inhibit brain microglial cell TNF-α secretion,p-IκB expression,and increase brain-derived neurotropic factor(BDNF)secretion显示文摘Objective:Asthma sufferers exhibit high prevalence of anxiety/depression.Elevated tumor-necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)levels in peripheral system and central nervous system(CNS)are associated with anxiety/depression,whereas brain-derived neurotropic factor(BDNF)has anti-depressant effects.An anti-asthma herbal medicine intervention ASHMI inhibits peripheral TNF-αsecretion in an animal model of asthma.We hypothesize that ASHMI and its compounds may have modulatory effects on CNS TNF-αand BDNF production.We sought to determine the effect of ASHMI and individual herb constituents on brain microglial cell TNF-αproduction,and identify the active compounds that suppress TNF-αand increase BDNF.Methods:BV-2 mouse microglial cells were pre-treated with ASHMI or extracts of Ganoderma lucidum(G.lucidum),Sophora flavescens Ait(S.flavescens),and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer(G.uralensis),the herbal constituents in ASHMI,or individual compounds isolated from G.uralensis at different concentrations and then stimulated with LPS.TNF-αlevels in culture supernatants were measured by ELISA.The effect of active compounds on NFkB signaling pathway and on BDNF production were determined by western blotting and ELISA,respectively.Results:ASHMI produced dose-dependent inhibition of TNF-αsecretion by cultured-mousemicroglia BV2 cells.Of the three herb extracts in ASHMI,only G.uralensis significantly and dosedependently inhibited TNF-αproduction.Among the 5 flavonoids isolated from G.uralensis,isoliquiritigeninwas themost effective.Isoliquiritigenin suppression of TNF-αproduction was associated with attenuation of p-NF-kB expression,andwas accompanied by increased BDNF secretion.Conclusion:ASHMI and its effective flavonoid,isoliquiritigenin,inhibited TNF-αproduction by LPS stimulatedmicroglial cells and elevated BDNF levels,which may prove to have anti-CNS inflammatory and anti-anxiety effects. | Sangita P.Patil Changda Liu Joseph Alban Nan Yang Xiu-Min Li | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,1: | 3 |

| 9 | Biomass-derived hard carbon microtubes with tunable apertures for high-performance sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)are considered the most up-and-coming complements for large-scale energy storage devices due to the abundance and cheap sodium.However,due to the bigger radius,it is still a great challenge to develop anode materials with suitable space for the intercalation of sodium ions.Herein,we present hard carbon microtubes(HCTs)with tunable apertures derived from low-cost natural kapok fibers via a carbonization process for SIBs.The resulted HCTs feature with smaller surface area and shorter Na+diffusion path benefitting from their unique micro-nano structure.Most importantly,the wall thickness of HCTs could be regulated and controlled by the carbonization temperature.At a high temperature of 1,600℃,the carbonized HCTs possess the smallest wall thickness,which reduces the diffusion barrier of Na+and enhances the reversibility Na+storage.As a result,the 1600HCTs deliver a high initial Coulombic efficiency of 90%,good cycling stability(89.4%of capacity retention over 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)),and excellent rate capacity.This work not only charts a new path for preparing hard carbon materials with adequate ion channels and novel tubular micro-nano structures but also unravels the mechanism of hard carbon materials for sodium storage. | Pin Song Shiqiang Wei Jun Di Jun Du Wenjie Xu Daobin Liu Changda Wang Sicong Qiao Yuyang Cao Qilong Cui Pengjun Zhang Liaobo Ma Jiewu Cui Yan Wang Yujie Xiong | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Relection of elastic waves at the elastically supported boundary of a couple stress elastic half-space显示文摘The relection elastic waves at the elastically supported boundary of a couple stress elastic half-space are studied in this paper. Different from the classical elastic solid, there are three kinds of elastic waves in the couple stress elastic solid, and two of them are dispersive. The boundary conditions of a couple stress elastic half-space include the couple stress vector and the rotation vector which disappear in the classical elastic solids. These boundary conditions are used to obtain a linear algebraic equation set, from which the amplitude ratios of relection waves to the incident wave can be determined. Then, the relection coeficients in terms of energy lux ratios are calculated numerically, and the normal energy lux conservation is used to validate the numerical results. Based on these numerical results,the inluences of the boundary parameters, which relect the mechanical behavior of elastic support, on the relection energy partition are discussed. | 15 | The interpretation of gravity anomaly on lunar Apennines显示文摘The lunar Apennines,located in the southeast of Mare Imbrium,is the largest range on the Moon. The gravity anomalies on profiles across the mountains reveal evidence of a great fault zone characteristic. The deep crustal structures of lunar Apennines are analyzed on the basis of topographic data from Chang'E-1 satellite and gravity data from Lunar Prospector. The inverted crust-mantle models indicate the presence of a lithosphere fault beneath the mountains. Inverted results of gravity and the hypothe-sis of lunar thermal evolution suggest that the lunar lithosphere might be broken ~3.85 Ga ago due to a certain dynamic lateral movement and compression of lunar lithosphere. This event is associated with the history of magma filling and lithosphere deformation in the mountain zone and adjacent area. | 18 | The Effect of Concave Size on the Aerodynamics of a Maglev Train显示文摘Inspired by shark’s skin in nature,a non-smooth surface could be an ideal model for changing the flow characteristics of fluids on the object surface.To analyze the effect of a non-smooth surface with concaves on the maglev train aerodynamic performances and to investigate how the concave size affects the aerodynamic forces and flow structure of a maglev train,four 1/10th scaled maglev train models are simulated using an Improved Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation(IDDES)method.The numerical strategy used in this study is verified by comparison with the wind tunnel test results,and the comparison shows that the difference was in a reasonable range.The results demonstrate that the concaves could effectively reduce the tail car pressure drag,thus reducing the total drag,and that the smaller the concave size was,the better the drag reduction effect would be.The change in the lift with the concave size was more significant than that of the drag,and the tail car lift of R1(0.0012H),R2(0.0024H),and R3(0.0036H)train models was 30.1%,43.0%,and 44.5%less than that of the prototype,respectively.In addition,different flow topologies of the wake are analyzed.The width and height of the vortex core of the counter-rotating vortices tended to decrease with the concave size.Thus,from the point of view of ensuring the operating safety of a maglev train,a non-smooth surface with small-size concaves is recommended. | Shuang Meng Dan Zhou Changda Tan | 2022 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,3: | 1 |

Although much research has been done on secure routing, security issues have largely been ignored in applying mobile ad hoc network theory to computer technology. An ad hoc network is usually assumed to be homogeneous, which is an irrational assumption for armies. It is clear that soldiers, commanders, and commanders-in-chief should have different security levels and computation powers as they have access to asymmetric resources.
