Influence of Vehicle Parameters on Critical Hunting Speed Based on Ruzicka Model显示文摘While introducing foreign advanced technology and cooperating with Chinese famous research institutes, the high-speed vehicles are designed and take the major task of passenger transport in China. In high-speed vehicle, the characteristic of shock absorber is an important parameter which determines overall behavior of the vehicle. The most existing researches neglect the influence of the series stiffness of the shock absorber on the vehicle dynamic behavior and have one-sided views on the equivalent conicity of wheel tread. In this paper,a high speed passenger vehicle in China is modeled to investigate the effect of the parameters taking series hydraulic shock absorber stiffness into consideration on Ruzicka model.Using the vehicle dynamic model, the effect of main suspension parameters on critical speed is studied. In order to verify the reasonableness of shock absorber parameter settings, vibration isolation characteristics are calculated and the relationship between suspension parameters and the vehicle critical hunting speed is studied. To study the influence of equivalent conicity on vehicle dynamic behavior,a series of wheel treads with different conicities are set and the vehicle critical hunting speeds with different wheel treads are calculated. The discipline between the equivalent conicity of wheel tread and critical speed are obtained in vehicle nonlinear system. The research results show that the critical speed of vehicle much depends on wheelset positioning stiffness and anti-hunting motion damper, and the series stiffness produces notable effect on the vehicle dynamic behavior. The critical speed has a peak value with the equivalent conicity increasing, which is different from the traditional opinion in which the critical speed will decrease with the conicity increasing. The relationship between critical speed and conicity of wheel tread is effected by the suspension parameters of the vehicle. The study results obtained offer a method and useful data to designing the parameters of the high speed vehicle and simulation study. | CUI Dabin LI Li JIN Xuesong XIAO Xinbiao DING Junjun | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3: | 12
Wheel-rail Profiles Matching Design Considering Railway Track Parameters显示文摘The profile of wheel/rail has great concern with the vehicle running safety, the wheel/rail wear and the rolling contact fatigue between wheel and rail, due to its severer impact on the dynamic behavior of both the railway vehicle/track, and the wheel/rail rolling contact status. However, recent studies in this respect are mainly explored in reverse methods, where track parameters are predetermined and invariable during the optimizing process. This paper attempts to propose a wheel-rail profiles matching design method considering multi-parameter, through optimizing wheel/rail profile under different rail cants and track gauges, based on the existed optimization technology for the normal gap of wheel/rail. The method presented in this paper can also, compared with the prior reverse methods, be called 'forward solution method' in which the riding comfort, wheel unloading rate and wheel/rail contact stress of the speed-up railway passenger car are calculated by means of a vehicle-track coupling dynamic model, with the range of the rail cant varying from 1/20 to 1/40 and the rail gauge from 1 433 mm to 1 441 mm. These results show that the distribution status of the pairs of contact points can be obviously improved and the contact stress can be reduced significantly; a great influence is exposed by the rail cant and track gauge on the dynamic behavior of the high speed passenger car, and an optimal vehicle dynamics behavior are obtained with the optimized wheel/rail profile when the rail cant is 1/30 and the track gauge is 1 435 mm. This research can provide important references for the investigation of the wheel-rail profiles matching design method considering multi-parameter. | CUI Dabin LI Li JIN Xuesong LI Ling | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,4: | 6
Theoretical and Experimental Study on The Speed-up of Freight Train with Mixed Marshaling of Light and Heavy Vehicle显示文摘To study the influence of the speed-up of a freight train with mixed marshaling of light and heavy vehicles on the dynamic behavior,a dynamic model of the freight train was established based on the modular method of cyclic variables, and the dynamic behavior of the freight train was simulated and analyzed under different marshaling patterns, speeds and line conditions.On-site speed-up test with different marshaling freight trains was carried out,and the stability and ride-index of the train before and after the speed-up were compared and analyzed. The feasibility of increasing the speed of freight trains with mixed marshaling of light and heavy cars was demonstrated theoretically and experimentally. The results show that the theory is in good agreement with the test, which can effectively reflect the dynamic behavior of the vehicle. The dynamic behavior of the freight train in the study meets the requirements of increasing speed to 90 km/h.This paper provides a theoretical basis and method for railway freight transportation and the speed-up of freight vehicles. | Xing ZHANG Li LI Dabin CUI Yaodong FU Haiyang GUO | 2021 | Mechanical Engineering Science2021,3,1: | 0
Wheel Profile Optimization of Speed-up Freight Train Based on Multi-population Genetic Algorithm显示文摘The geometric shape of the wheel tread is mathematically expressed, and geometric parameters affecting the shape of the wheel were extracted as design variables. The vehicle dynamics simulation model was established based on the vehicle suspension parameters and track conditions of the actual operation, and the comprehensive dynamic parameters of the vehicle were taken as the design objectives. The matching performance of the wheel equivalent conicity with the vehicle and track parameters was discussed, and the best equivalent conicity was determined as the constraint condition of the optimization problem;a numerical calculation program is written to solve the optimization model based on a multi-population genetic algorithm. The results show that the algorithm has a fast calculation speed and good convergence.Compared with the LM profile, the two optimized profiles effectively reduce the wheelset acceleration and improve the lateral stability of the bogie and vehicle stability during straight running.Due to the optimized profile increases the equivalent conicity under larger lateral displacement of the wheelset, the lateral wheel-rail force, derailment coefficient, wheel load reduction rate, and wear index are reduced when the train passes through the curve line. This paper provides a feasible way to ensure the speed-up operation of a freight train. | Dabin CUI Pengcheng LEI Xing ZHANG Jingkang PENG | 2021 | Mechanical Engineering Science2021,3,1: | 0
Effect of extracellular polymeric substances on the phosphorus adsorption characteristics of sediment particles显示文摘Extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) have a great impact on the characteristics of sediment particles and their environmental effects in hydro-environmental systems, yet little effort has been made to study the considerable variability in the element adsorption process of sediment particles caused by EPS.Understanding the variability of the adsorption characteristics of sediment particles associated with EPS and quantifying the scale of the adsorption isotherm parameters are important for understanding how EPS mediate sediment properties and environmental factors. In this paper, isothermal equilibrium adsorption experiments are done on phosphorus to study the influence of EPS on the adsorption characteristics of sediment particles, and the Langmuir adsorption isotherm is applied to analyze the adsorption rule of sediment particles under the impact of EPS. The current research demonstrates that significant differences will take place in the adsorption characteristics of sediments coated with EPS at different development phases and the phosphorus adsorption capacity of sediment particles increases with the growth of EPS. The difference in the adsorption percentage between sediment particles coated with EPS of 0 and 6 weeks growth time is about 42%e60% for different initial aqueous phosphorus concentration. A formula describing the adsorption isotherm parameter of the maximum material(element) adsorption capacity of sediment particles change over time is further proposed based on the experimental data. The current study provides some evidence for the interaction of sediment particles,EPS, and adsorbed elements in the water environment. | Huiming Zhao Yuefeng Zhang Liqun Tang Zhenghui Cui Bing Liu Wei Cheng Chuansheng Guo Dabin Liu Xiaowei Gao Haochuan Feng | 2021 | International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,5: | 0
