1中国新时期农村扶贫与村级贫困瞄准显示文摘我们采用国家统计局的农村住户调查和世界银行的专项村级调查数据,通过分析贫困村确定的准确性、决定因素以及贫困人口的覆盖率来评价中国农村扶贫计划中村级瞄准的效率。研究结果表明,尽管越是低收入组的村被确定为贫困村的可能性越大,但贫困村覆盖不完全和非贫困村被定为贫困村的问题依然比较严重。总体而言,以收入为标准和在精确瞄准状态下应该被确定为贫困村的村中有48%的村没有被瞄准。确定贫困村的主要决定因素是收入水平、贫困发生率、基础设施和社会服务的可获得性以及偏远程度等,这与中央政府确定贫困村的原则和推荐方案是一致的。2001年,有59%的极端贫困人口居住在贫困村内,但这一比重在2004年下降到51%。与其他地区和非贫困县相比,西部地区和贫困县确定的贫困村覆盖了更高比例的贫困人口。总体上看,由于东部和中部地区以及非贫困县更大的瞄准错误,村级瞄准并没有比县级瞄准覆盖更多的贫困人口。中国政府扶贫部门需要在非西部地区和非贫困县改善贫困瞄准方式和提高扶贫机构的能力,提高瞄准的准确性和效率。汪三贵 Albert Park Shubham Chaudhuri Gaurav Datt 2007管理世界2007,23,1:185

3Management Recommendations on Sleep Disturbance o Patients with Parkinson's Disease显示文摘INTRODUCTION Sleep disturbance is one of the most common nonmotor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD).Sleep disturbance affects 40-98% of PD patients in the world. In China, the prevalence of PD patients with sleep disturbance ranges from 47.66% to 89.10%. Sleep disturbance usually has adverse impact on the quality of life of PD patients. Apossible pathogenesis of PD with sleep disturbance include thalamocortical pathway degeneration and changes of neurotransmitter systems. 4Effect of sodium arsenite on spermatogenesis, plasma gonadotrophins and testosterone in rats显示文摘Aim:To investigate the effect of arsenic on spermatogenesis.Methods:Mature(4 months old)Wistar rats were intraperitoneally administered sodium arsenite at doses of 4,5 or 6mg·kg^-1·day^-1 for 26 days.Different varieties of germ cells at stage Ⅶ seminiferous epithelium cycle,namely,type A spermatogonia(ASg),preleptotene spermatocytes(pLSc),midpachytene spermatocytes(mPSc) and step 7 spermatids(7Sd) were quantitatively evaluated, along with radioimmunoassay of plasma follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),lutuneizing hormone(LH),testosterone and assessment of the epididymal sperm count.Results:In the 5 and 6 mg/kg groups,there were significant dosedependent decreases in the accessory sex organ weights,epididymal sperm count and plasma concentrations of LH,FSH and testosterone with massive degeneration of all the germ cells at stage Ⅶ,The changes were insignificant in the 4 mg/kg group.Conclusion:Arsenite has a suppressive influence on spermatogenesis and gonadotrophin and testosterone release in rats.Mahitosh Sarkar Gargi Ray Chaudhuri Aloke Chattopadhyay Narendra Mohan Biswas 2003Asian Journal of Andrology2003,5,1:24

9GIScience research challenges for realizing discrete global grid systems as a Digital Earth显示文摘Increasing data resources are available for documenting and detecting changes in environmental,ecological,and socioeconomic processes.Currently,data are distributed across a wide variety of sources(e.g.data silos)and published in a variety of formats,scales,and semantic representations.A key issue,therefore,in building systems that can realize a vision of earth system monitoring remains data integration.Discrete global grid systems(DGGSs)have emerged as a key technology that can provide a common multi-resolution spatial fabric in support of Digital Earth monitoring.However,DGGSs remain in their infancy with many technical,conceptual,and operational challenges.With renewed interest in DGGS brought on by a recently proposed standard,the demands of big data,and growing needs for monitoring environmental changes across a variety of scales,we seek to highlight current challenges that we see as central to moving the field(s)and technologies of DGGS forward.For each of the identified challenges,we illustrate the issue and provide a potential solution using a reference DGGS implementation.Through articulation of these challenges,we hope to identify a clear research agenda,expand the DGGS research footprint,and provide some ideas for moving forward towards a scaleable Digital Earth vision.Addressing such challenges helps the GIScience research community to achieve the real benefits of DGGS and provides DGGS an opportunity to play a role in the next generation of GIS.Majid Hojati Colin Robertson Steven Roberts Chiranjib Chaudhuri 2022Big Earth Data2022,6,3:4
10Petrography of Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous sandstones in the Kutch Basin,western India:Implications on provenance and basin evolution显示文摘This paper investigates the provenance of Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous sediments in the Kutch Basin, western India, on the basis of mineralogical investigations of sandstones composition(Quartz-Feldspar-Lithic(QFL)fragment), Zircon-Tourmaline-Rutile(ZTR) index, and mineral chemistry of heavy detrital minerals of the framework.The study also examines the compositional variation of the sandstone in relation to the evolution of the Kutch Basin, which originated as a rift basin during the Late Triassic and evolved into a passive margin basin by the end Cretaceous. This study analyzes sandstone samples of Jhumara, Jhuran and Bhuj Formations of Middle Jurassic,Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous, respectively, in the Kutch Mainland. Sandstones record a compositional evolution from arkosic to subarkosic as the feldspar content decreases from 68% in the Jhumara Formation to 27%in the Bhuj Formation with intermediate values in the Jhuran Formation. The QFL modal composition indicates basement uplifted and transitional continental settings at source. Heavy mineral content of these sandstones reveals the occurrence of zircon, tourmaline, rutile, garnet, apatite, monazite and opaque minerals. Sub-rounded to well-rounded zircon grains indicate a polycyclic origin. ZTR indices for samples in Jhumara, Jhuran and Bhuj Formations are 25%, 30% and 50% respectively. Chemistry of opaque minerals reveals the occurrence of detrital varieties such as ilmenite, rutile, hematite/magnetite and pyrite, in a decreasing order of abundances. Chemistry of ilmenites in the Jhumara Formation reveals its derivation from dual felsic igneous and metabasic source, while those in Jhuran and Bhuj Formations indicate a metabasic derivation. Chemistry of garnet reveals predominantly Fe-rich(almandine) variety of metabasic origin. X-ray microscopic study provides the percentage of heavy minerals ranging from 3% to 5.26%. QFL detrital modes reflect the evolution of the basin from an active rift to a passive margin basin during the Mesozoic. Integration of results from QFL modal composition of the sandstones, heavy mineral analysis and mineral chemistry, suggests sediment supply from both northern and eastern highlands during the Middle Jurassic. 11Leukemic stromal hematopoietic microenvironment negatively regulates the normal hematopoiesis in mouse model of leukemia显示文摘Background and Objective: Leukemic microenvironment has a major role in the progression of leukemia. Leukemic cells can induce reversible changes in microenvironmental components, especially the stromal function which results in improved growth conditions for maintaining the malignant leukemic cells. This study aimed to investigate the survival advantage of leukemic cells over normal hematopoietic cells in stromal microenvironment in long term. Methods: The mice were injected intraperitoneally with N-N’ ethylnitrosourea (ENU) to induce leukemia; the mice received injection of normal saline were used as control. At 180 days after ENU induction, the mice were killed and the bone marrows were cultured for 19 days. Colony-forming assays were used to analyze the formation of various cell colonies. The expression of Sca-1, CD146, VEGFR2, CD95, pStat3, pStat5, and Bcl-xL in marrow cells were detected by flow cytometry. Results: Long-term leukemic bone marrow culture showed abnormal elongated stromal fibroblasts with almost absence of normal hematopoietic cells. Adherent cell colonies were increased, but CFU-F and other hematopoietic cell colonies were significantly decreased in leukemia group (P< 0.001). Primitive progenitor-specific Sca-1 receptor expression was decreased with subsequent increased expression of CD146 and VEGFR-2 in leukemic bone marrow cells. Decreased Fas antigen expression with increased intracellular pStat3, pStat5 and Bcl-xL proteins were observed in leukemic bone marrow cells. Conclusions: Stromal microenvironment shows altered morphology and decreased maturation in leukemia. Effective progenitor cells are decreased in leukemia with increased leukemia-specific cell population. 14DEM modeling of high shear wet granulation of a simple system显示文摘High shear wet granulation(HSWG) is one of the most poorly understood processes with known difficulties in optimization and scale up. The purpose of the current study is to develop a DEM model which can be applied under dynamic process conditions with high predictive capacity to improve process insight. The DEM model is used to predict agglomeration as a function of impeller speed and liquid addition rate in a high shear wet granulator. 16Electrical properties of bulk and nano Li_(2)TiO_(3) ceramics:A comparative study显示文摘Nanocrystalline and bulk Li_(2)TiO_(3) having monoclinic structure were prepared by mechanical alloying as well as conventional ceramic route.Complex impedance analysis in the frequency range of 100 Hz-1 MHz over a wide range of temperature(50-500℃)indicates the presence of grain boundary effect along with the bulk contribution.The frequency-dependent conductivity plots exhibit power law dependence,suggesting three types of conduction in the material:low-frequency(100 Hz-1 kHz)conductivity showing long-range translational motion of electrons(frequency independent),mid-frequency(1-10 kHz)conductivity showing short-range hopping of charge carriers and high-frequency(10 kHz-1 MHz)conductivity showing conduction due to localized orientation of hopping mechanism.The electrical conductivity measurement of nanocrystalline and bulk Li_(2)TiO_(3) with temperature shows the negative temperature coefficient of resistance(NTCR)behavior.The activation energy(0.77 eV for nano sample and 0.88 eV for bulk sample)study shows the conduction mechanism in both samples.The low activation energies of the samples suggest the presence of singly ionized oxygen vacancies in the conduction process.Umasankar DASH Subhanarayan SAHOO Paritosh CHAUDHURI S.K.S.PARASHAR Kajal PARASHAR 2014Journal of Advanced Ceramics2014,3,2:2
17Effect of Li^(+)ion mobility on the grain boundary conductivity of Li_(2)TiO_(3) nanoceramics显示文摘Lithium titanate(Li_(2)TiO_(3))is one of the most promising candidates among the tritium breeding materials because of its good tritium release capacity.Li concentration has much significance on the diffusivity of tritium in the material.The nanocrystalline single-phase Li_(2)TiO_(3) with monoclinic structure has been prepared by high energy ball milling followed by calcination at 700℃for 2 h.The field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)studies confirmed uniform distribution of nanocrystalline phase with particle size below 100 nm.The study of the Li^(+)ion diffusion on the sintered sample was investigated by means of electrical conductivity measurements.Electrical properties of the samples were studied in wide temperature(50-500℃)and frequency(100 Hz-1 MHz)ranges.The complex impedance spectroscopy(CIS)studies showed the presence of both bulk and grain boundary effects in nanocrystalline Li_(2)TiO_(3).The bulk resistance of the samples has been observed to decrease with rise in temperature showing a typical negative temperature coefficient of resistance(NTCR)behavior.The low activation energies of the samples suggested the presence of singly ionized oxygen vacancies in the conduction process.The hopping frequency shifted toward higher frequency with increase in temperature.Activation energy of 0.86 eV was calculated from AC conductivity.Umasankar DASH Subhanarayan SAHOO S.K.S.PARASHAR Paritosh CHAUDHURI 2014Journal of Advanced Ceramics2014,3,2:2
18Imprinting in Plants and Its Underlying Mechanisms显示文摘Genomic imprinting(or imprinting) refers to an epigenetic phenomenon by which the allelic expression of a gene depends on the parent of origin.It has evolved independently in placental mammals and flowering plants.In plants,imprinting is mainly found in endosperm. Recent genome-wide surveys in Arabidopsis,rice,and maize identified hundreds of imprinted genes in endosperm.Since these genes are of diverse functions,endosperm development is regulated at different regulatory levels.The imprinted expression of only a few genes is conserved between Arabidopsis and monocots,suggesting that imprinting evolved quickly during speciation.In Arabidopsis,DEMETER (DME) mediates hypomethylation in the maternal genome at numerous loci(mainly transposons and repeats) in the central cell and results in many differentially methylated regions between parental genomes in the endosperm,and subsequent imprinted expression of some genes.In addition,histone modification mediated by Polycomb group(PcG) proteins is also involved in regulating imprinting.DME-induced hypomethylated alleles in the central cell are considered to produce small interfering RNAs(siRNAs) which are imported to the egg to reinforce DNA methylation.In parallel,the activity of DME in the vegetative cell of the male gametophyte demethylates many regions which overlap with the demethylated regions in the central cell.siRNAs from the demethylated regions are hypothesized to be also transferred into sperm to reinforce DNA methylation.Imprinting is partly the result of genome-wide epigenetic reprogramming in the central cell and vegetative cell and evolved under different selective pressures.Hongyu Zhang Abed Chaudhury Xianjun Wu 2013Journal of Genetics and Genomics2013,40,5:2
