1Neutrophil extracellular traps mediate the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment via the HMGB1/RAGE/IL-8 axis显示文摘Objective:Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)produced by tumor-infiltrating neutrophils(TINs)are associated with poor prognosis in patients with several types of cancer.However,the mechanisms underlying the involvement of NETs in glioma progression remain largely unknown.This study aimed to elucidate the roles of NETs in biological processes that drive the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment.Methods:Neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation were investigated in glioma tissue through immunohistochemistry,and their relationships with clinicopathological features and outcomes were statistically evaluated.The effects of NETs on glioma cell progression were studied in a co-culture system.In vivo and in vitro experiments validated the reactive oxygen species activity and cytokine production of TINs,as well as the ERK signaling pathway activation and the metastasis of gliomas.Results:Neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation were induced in high-grade glioma compared with low-grade glioma.NETs induced by TINs were determined to be an oncogenic marker of high-grade gliomas and to be involved in cell proliferation and invasion.NETs overproduction promoted glioma cell proliferation,migration,and invasion.Furthermore,HMGB1 was found to bind to RAGE and activate the NF-κB signaling pathway in vitro.In addition,NETs stimulated the NF-κB signaling pathway,thus promoting IL-8 secretion in glioblastoma.Subsequently,IL-8 recruited neutrophils which in turn mediated NETs formation via the PI3 K/AKT/ROS axis in TINs.Conclusions:Our results suggest that NETs produced by TINs mediate the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment by regulating the HMGB1/RAGE/IL-8 axis.Targeting NETs formation or IL-8 secretion may be an effective approach to inhibit glioma progression.Caijun Zha Xiangqi Meng Lulu Li Shan Mi Da Qian Ziwei Li Pengfei Wu Shaoshan Hu Shihong Zhao Jinquan Cai Yanhong Liu 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1:19
2Quantitative analysis of torrential rainfall associated with typhoon landfall:A case study of typhoon Haitang(2005)显示文摘A quantitative analysis of torrential rainfall associated with typhoon Haitang(2005) is carried out using a modified moist ageostrophic Q vector and data from Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model simulation.Four major factors determining the ascending motion associated with torrential rainfall have been studied:large-scale and convective condensational heating,topographic lifting and friction.The results show that the convective condensational heating plays a major role in the torrential rainfall process,and the large-scale condensational heating is secondary before the landfall of typhoon Haitang,and vice versa after the landfall.The topographic lifting affects the formation of rainfall,whereas the topographic friction has important impacts on torrential rainfall after the landfall.The rainfall amounts forced by the topographic friction and lifting have similar horizontal distributions,but the magnitudes of the former are 2-3 times larger than those of the latter.The rainfall amounts forced by topography(lifting and friction) and modified moist ageostrophic Q vector have different horizontal distributions,and the magnitudes of the former are 2-5 times larger than those of the latter.Synthetic analysis shows that the typhoon rainfall may be motivated by modified moist ageostrophic Q vector and enhanced further by the topographic effects.Caijun Yue 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,1:10
3Research on magnetic metallization of bacterial cells显示文摘A multidisciplinary approach to the fabrication of biologically based magnetic monomers for biolimited forming is described. Rod-like Bacilli cereus about 0.5 mm in diameter and 3—5 mm in length, were used as templates on which the ferromagnetic material was deposited by an elec-troless deposition method. Different electroless plating solu-tions were compared in detail and CoNiP solution was se-lected. During the deposition process, both dispersant and mechanical stirring were used to solve the problem of ag-gregation of bacterial cells so as to obtain a uniform plating layer. The CoNiP film on Bacilli cereus was a mixture of crystalline and non-crystalline in the phase structure and showed a good magnetism. The magnetic metallized bacte-rial cells could be manipulated with a magnetic field. 4Using repeated precise gps campaigns for research of present-day crustal movement and strain in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The problem of crustal movement in the Qing-hai-Tibetan Plateau is a hotstopic of the present-day international geodetic world. GPS observations in 1993, 1995 and 1997 are used to survey the three-dimensional displacement of GPS monitoring station in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, and to calculate and analyze the present-day crustal movement and strain in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The result of repeated campaign shows that the crustal movement in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau is still compressing in the north and south directions, extending in the west and east directions, and uplifting in the vertical direction. The relative convergence velocity of the Himalayan block is approximately (19.5±1.7)mm/a, the strain velocity is about (5.5±6.0) mm/a, and the uplifting velocity is some (7.6±5.2) mm/a. 5Statistical CSI based design for intelligent reflecting surface assisted MISO systems显示文摘This paper considers an intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)aided multiple-input single-output communication system,where statistical channel state information(CSI)is exploited for transmit beamforming and IRS beamforming.A tight upper bound is derived for the ergodic capacity of the system.Based on which,the joint optimization of transmit beam and IRS beam are studied.Depending on whether a line-of-sight path exists between the access point and user,two different cases,namely,Rician fading and Rayleigh fading,are separately treated.Specifically,for the Rician fading case,an iterative algorithm is proposed,which is guaranteed to converge.For the Rayleigh fading case,closed-form designs are obtained for the transmit beam and IRS beam.Simulation results show the proposed beamforming scheme achieves similar performance as the benchmark algorithm requiring instantaneous CSI.Xiaoling HU Junwei WANG Caijun ZHONG 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,12:7
6A Diagnostic Study of the Asymmetric Distribution of Rainfall during the Landfall of Typhoon Haitang(2005)显示文摘The precipitation during landfall of typhoon Haitang(2005) showed asymmetric structures(left side/right side of the track). Analysis of Weather Research and Forecasting model simulation data showed that rainfall on the right side was more than 15 times stronger than on the left side. The causes were analyzed by focusing on comparing the water vapor flux,stability and upward motion between the two sides. The major results were as follows:(1) Relative humidity on both sides was over80%,whereas the convergence of water vapor flux in the lower troposphere was about 10 times larger on the right side than on the left side.(2) Both sides featured conditional symmetric instability [MPV(moist potential vorticity) <0],but the right side was more unstable than the left side.(3) Strong(weak) upward motion occurred throughout the troposphere on the right(left) side. The Q vector diagnosis suggested that large-scale and mesoscale forcing accounted for the difference in vertical velocity. Orographic lift and surface friction forced the development of the asymmetric precipitation pattern. On the right side,strong upward motion from the forcing of different scale weather systems and topography caused a substantial release of unstable energy and the transportation of water vapor from the lower to the upper troposphere,which produced torrential rainfall. However,the above conditions on the left side were all much weaker,which led to weaker rainfall. 7Separation of indium (Ⅲ), gallium (Ⅲ), and zinc (Ⅱ) with Levextrel resin containing di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (CL-P204): Part I. Selection of separation conditions显示文摘A kind of Levextrel resin separation process was developed for separation of indium (Ⅲ), gallium (Ⅲ), and zinc (Ⅱ) from aqueous sulfate solution with Levextrel resin containing di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (CL-P204). The aim of the research is to collect preliminary results for a pilot-scale production. Properties of adsorbing indium (Ⅲ), gallium (Ⅲ),and zinc (Ⅱ) from sulfate solution with the Levextrel resin were first studied by batch operation and column operation. The optimum pH, adsorption capacities and concentrations of stripping agents for indium (Ⅲ), gallim (Ⅲ) were tested. The separation order of indium (Ⅲ), gallim (Ⅲ), and zinc (Ⅱ) from sulfate solution with CL-P204 Levextrel resin was found that indium (Ⅲ) could be first separated by adsorbing at the acidity of 1.0 mol/L whereas gallium (Ⅲ) and zinc (Ⅱ) could not, and they were adsorbed together by adsorbing at pH = 2.8, then separated from each other by stripping with 0.1 and 0.5mol/L hydrochloric acid, respectively. 8Efficient and stable non-doped deep-blue organic light emitting diode based on an anthracene derivative显示文摘A new anthracene derivative 9,10-bis[3,5-di(4-tert-butylphenyl)phenyl]anthracene (BPPA) was synthesized via Suzuki coupling reaction and characterized by 1H NMR spectrum,mass spectrum,and elemental analysis.BPPA exhibits deep-blue emission both in solution and in solid thin film.This compound has a non-planar structure that results in high thermal stability and the phenomenon of polymorphism.The non-doped device based on this material shows stable deep-blue emission with the 1931 Commission international de I'Eclairage (CIE) coordinate of (0.15,0.05) under different applied voltages.The device exhibits the maximum external quantum efficiency of 2.2% at 14.9 mA/cm2 with luminance of 105 cd/m2.WANG ZhiQiang ZHENG CaiJun LIU Heng OU XueMei ZHANG XiaoHong 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,4:5

10Anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complexes induce platelet activation and promote thrombosis via p38MAPK: a pathway to targeted therapies显示文摘Anti-β2 glycoprotein I(anti-β2GPI)antibodies are important contributors to the development of thrombosis.Anti-β2GPI antibody complexes withβ2GPI are well known to activate monocytes and endothelial cells via the intracellular NF-kB pathway with prothrombotic implications.By contrast,the interaction of anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complexes with platelets has not been extensively studied.The p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)pathway has been recognized to be an important intracellular signaling pathway in the coagulation cascade and an integral component of arterial and venous thrombosis.The present study reveals that levels of anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complexes in sera are positively associated with p38MAPK phosphorylation of platelets in thrombotic patients.Furthermore,SB203580 inhibits anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complex-induced platelet activation.Thrombus formation decreased in p38MAPK−/−mice after treatment with anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complexes.In conclusion,p38MAPK may be a treatment target for anti-β2GPI antibody-associated thrombotic events.Wenjing Zhang Caijun Zha Xiumin Lu Ruichun Jia Fei Gao Qi Sun Meili Jin Yanhong Li 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,6:3
11Numerical simulation of influences of the earth medium's lateral heterogeneity on co- and post-seismic deformation显示文摘Many studies revealed that the Earth medium's lateral heterogeneity can cause considerable effects on the co- and post-seismic deformation field. In this study, the threedimensional finite element numerical method are adopted to quantify the effects of lateral heterogeneity caused by material parameters and fault dip angle on the co- and postseismic deformation in the near- and far-field. Our results show that: 1) the medium's lateral heterogeneity does affect the co-seismic deformation, with the effects increasing with the medium's lateral heterogeneity caused by material parameters; 2) the Lame parameters play a more dominant role than density in the effects caused by lateral heterogeneity; 3) when a fault's dip angle is smaller than 90, the effects of the medium's lateral heterogeneity on the hanging wall are greater than on the footwall; 4) the impact of lateral heterogeneity caused by the viscosity coefficient on the post-seismic deformation can affect a large area, including the near- and far-field.Xu Bei Xu Caijun 2015Geodesy and Geodynamics2015,6,1:3
12Recent developments in seismological geodesy显示文摘With the advanced development of the modern geodetic techniques, the geodetic observations have been proved to be more powerful to uncover the geophysical phenomena,especially the seismic one, than that in the past time. The recent developments and achievements in the seismological geodesy are summarised here. Several popular geodetic techniques, such as high-rate GNSS, In SAR and Satellite Gravimetry, are introduced first to present their recent contributions in studying the seismic deformations. The developments of the joint inversion of the seismic source parameters from multiple observations are then highlighted. 14Safety of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines:a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Background Various modalities of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),based on different platforms and immunization procedures,have been successively approved for marketing worldwide.A comprehensive review for clinical trials assessing the safety of COVID-19 vaccines is urgently needed to make an accurate judgment for mass vaccination.Main text A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to determine the safety of COVID-19 vaccine candidates in randomized controlled trials(RCTs).Data search was performed in PubMed,Embase,Cochrane library,Scopus,Web of Science,and MedRxiv.Included articles were limited to RCTs on COVID-19 vaccines.A total of 73,633 subjects from 14 articles were included to compare the risks of adverse events following immunization(AEFI)after vaccinating different COVID-19 vaccines.Pooled risk ratios(RR)of total AEFI for inactivated vaccine,viral-vectored vaccine,and mRNA vaccine were 1.34[95%confidence interval(CI)1.11–1.61,P<0.001],1.65(95%CI 1.31–2.07,P<0.001),and 2.01(95%CI 1.78–2.26,P<0.001),respectively.No significant differences on local and systemic AEFI were found between the first dose and second dose.In addition,people aged≤55 years were at significantly higher risk of AEFI than people aged≥56 years,with a pooled RR of 1.25(95%CI 1.15–1.35,P<0.001).Conclusions The safety and tolerance of current COVID-19 vaccine candidates are acceptable for mass vaccination,with inactivated COVID-19 vaccines candidates having the lowest reported AEFI.Long-term surveillance of vaccine safety is required,especially among elderly people with underlying medical conditions.Musha Chen Yue Yuan Yiguo Zhou Zhaomin Deng Jin Zhao Fengling Feng Huachun Zou Caijun Sun 2021Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021,10,4:2
15Comparative Study of Three Warm-season Forage Varieties in Southern China显示文摘The plant height,tiller number,yield of three warm-season forage varieties in Southern China were studied for consecutive two years.The result showed that the three varieties all adapted to the environmental conditions.The annual fresh grass yield of Pennisetum purpureum Schum ev.Taiwan,Guimu-1 hybrid P.purpureum and P.sinese Roxb were 220.85,163.18,186.20 t/hm^2;the crude protein content were 17.39%,19.02%and 20.91%;the crude fat content were 6.37%,5.37%and 4.69%;and the crude fiber content were 33.49%,32.22%and 33.58%,respectively.P.purpureum Schum ev.Taiwan had stronger cold resistance,fast growth after overwintering and strong resistance,and no plant diseases and insect pests were found during the test.P.purpureum Schum ev.Taiwan is a high yield and high quality forage variety,which is worth popularizing and applying.Sun Ao Deng Huifen Li Caijun Jiang Guitao Zhang Xu Li Jianbo 2019Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2019,11,3:2

18RESEARCH ON THE DEFORMATIONS IN QINGHAI_TIBET PLATEAU AND ITS MARGINS BY INVERTING SEISMIC MOMENT TENSORS AND GPS VELOCITIES显示文摘We have determined approximate average rates of deformation in the Qinghai_Tibet plateau and its margins from the GPS data for last 10 years and the moment tensors from earthquakes between 1900 and 1999.We also determined the strain rate (seismic strain rate) associated with the seismic deformation using 254 M w ≥5.0 earthquakes,and estimated the shortening and extension rates for every block in the area as well.We also estimated the strain rate (geodetic strain rate)by 80 GPS sites’ velocity vectors and analyzed characteristic of kinematics by two kinds of strain rates and discussed earthquake potential in the area.As a result,the deformation rates from seismic moment tensors and from GPS velocities are basically agreed with each other.It is feasible to analyze seismic risk by comparing geodetic strain rate with seismic strain rate based on the opinion that strain energy will be released through earthquake.It is concluded that there is no strong earthquake potential (>M7) in the Qinghai_Tibet plateau and its margins,but there is earthquake potential (>M5) in middle Tibet in a few years.Xu Caijun Liu Jingnan Li Zhicai Dong Lixiang 2000Geo-Spatial Information Science2000,3,4:2
