2De novo synthesis of bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers for synergistic coordination mediated uranium entrapment显示文摘This work reports a de novo synthesis of novel bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)exhibiting a synergistic-effect involved coordination behavior to uranium.It is highlighted that the synthetic strategy enables the engineering of the coordination environment within amidoxime functionalized CMP frameworks by specifically introducing ortho-substituted amino functionalities,enhancing the affinity to uranyl ions via forming synergistic complexes.The CMPs exhibit high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area,well-developed three-dimensional(3D)networks with hierarchical porosity,and favorable chemical and thermal stability because of the covalently cross-linked structure.Compared with the amino-free counterparts,the adsorption capacity of bifunctional CMPs was increased by almost 70%,from 105 to 174 mg/g,indicating evidently enhanced binding ability to uranium.Moreover,new insights into coordination mechanism were obtained by in-depth X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculation,suggesting a dominant role of the oxime ligands forming a 1:1 metal ions/ligands(M/L)coordination model with uranyl ions while demonstrating the synergistic engagement of the amino functionalities via direct binding to uranium center and hydrogen-bonding involved secondary-sphere interaction.This work sheds light on the underlying principles of ortho-substituted functionalities directed synergistic effect to promote the coordination of amidoxime with uranyl ions.And the synthetic strategy established here would enable the task-specific development of more novel CMP-based functional materials for broadened applications.Boxuan Yu Lei Zhang Gang Ye Qingzhi Liu Jiongli Li Xudong Wang Jing Chen Shengming Xu Shengqian Ma 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:2
3Two-photon AIE probe conjugated theranostic nanoparticles for tumor bioimaging and pH-sensitive drug delivery显示文摘Nanoparticles armed with chemotherapy drug and fluorescence probe have become an effective anticancer strategy for their advantages in cancer diagnosis and treatment.However,fluorophore for diagnostic medicine with deep penetration depth and high resolution are still very rare,while rational designs are also required to improve the tumor retention and target-site drug delivery.Herein,a two-photon fluorophore with aggregation-induced emission and large two-photon absorption cross-section has been designed for two-photon bioimaging,and a novel theranostic nanoplatform is also constructed based on doxorubicin and the two-photon fluorophore conjugated copolymer,P(TPMA-co-AEMA)-PEI(DA)-Blink-PEG (PAEEBlink-DA).The micelles maintain a “stealth” property during blood circulation and is activated in the acidic tumor microenvironment,which triggers the charge-conversion and results in enhanced micellar internalization.Meanwhile,PAEMA chains can convert from hydrophobicity to hydrophilicity with accelerated drug release and particle size expansion.The enlarged particle size would potentially extend the retention time of these micelles.Moreover,a great AIE active two-photon bioimaging with tissue penetration depth up to 150 μm is observed and the in vivo biodistribution of nanoparticles can be traced.The in vivo antitumor results further indicate the obvious reduction of adverse effect and enhanced treatment effect of these micelles,proving that these PAEEBlink-DA micelles would be a potential candidate for tumor theranostic applications.Boxuan Ma Weihua Zhuang Haiyang He Xin Su Tao Yu Jun Hu Li Yang Gaocan Li Yunbing Wang 2019Nano Research2019,12,7:2
4Integrated prodrug micelles with two-photon bioimaging and pH-triggered drug delivery for cancer theranostics显示文摘Nanodrug carriers with fluorescence radiation are widely used in cancer diagnosis and therapy due to their real-time imaging,less side effect,better drug utilization as well as the good bioimaging ability.However,traditional nanocarriers still suffer from unexpectable drug leakage,unsatisfactory tumor-targeted drug delivery and shallow imaging depth,which limit their further application in cancer theranostics.In this study,an integrated nanoplatform is constructed by polymeric prodrug micelles with two-photon and aggregation-induced emission bioimaging,charge reversal and drug delivery triggered by acidic pH.The prodrug micelles can be self-assembled by the TPPEI(DA/DOX)-PEG prodrug polymer,which consists of the two-photon fluorophore(TP),dimethylmaleic anhydride(DA)grafted polyethyleneimine(PEI)and polyethylene glycol(PEG).The PEG segment,DOX and DA are bridged to polymer by acid cleavable bonds,which provides the micelles a‘stealth’property and a satisfactory stability during blood circulation,while the outside PEG segment is abandoned along with the DA protection in the tumor acidic microenvironment,thus leading to charge reversal-mediated accelerated endocytosis and tumor-targeted drug delivery.The great antitumor efficacy and reduced side effect of these pH-sensitive prodrug micelles are confirmed by antitumor assays in vitro and in vivo.Meanwhile,these micelles exhibited great deep-tissue two-photon bioimaging ability up to 150 lm in depth.The great antitumor efficacy,reduced side effect and deep two-photon tissue imaging make the TP-PEI(DA/DOX)-PEG prodrug micelles would be an efficient strategy for theranostic nanoplatform in cancer treatment.Hong Xu Boxuan Ma Jizhou Jiang Sutong Xiao Rongrong Peng Weihua Zhuang Gaocan Li Yunbing Wang 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,2:1
5Synergistic Adsorption by Biomassbased Fe-Al(Hydr)oxide Nanocomposite of Fluoride and Arsenic显示文摘Fe-Al(hydr)oxide nano-/micro-particles were well grown and dispersed on a wheat straw template,which was characterized by a scanning electron microscope(SEM)with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The adsorption mechanism of the biomass-based Fe-Al(hydr)oxide nanocomposite was studied by the adsorption isotherms,which followed the Langmuir model better than the Freundlich and Temkin models.In particular,a synergistic adsorption by the mixed Fe-Al(hydr)oxide nano-/micro-particles based on the wheat straw was found,with higher maximum adsorption capacity(Q0)than that of the material containing only Fe3O4 or Al(OH)3 nano-/micro-particles,which was most obvious when the mole ratio of Fe to Al was 1:1.The degree of this unusual effect was reasonably determined by the departure between the experimental and calculated maximum adsorption capacity(Q0-Q0(cal)),which showed that the synergistic effect was most pronounced when the mole ratio of Fe to Al was approximately 1:1.The good adsorption capacity of the mixed Fe-Al(hydr)oxide nano-/micro-particles and the good dispersity by the wheat straw matrix were combined in the biomass-based Fe-Al(hydr)oxide nanocomposite.The nanocomposite material showed high adsorption capacity for both fluoride(F-)and arsenic(As(III)and As(V)),and had the advantage of magnetic separation by tuning its compositions.DaYong Huang BoXuan Li Min Wu Shigenori Kuga Yong Huang 2019Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,2:1
6Drug-loaded chitosan film prepared via facile solution casting and air-drying of plain water-based chitosan solution for ocular drug delivery显示文摘Chitosan is a nature-based polymer with low toxicity,excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability.However,the intractable solubility of chitosan in water and most conventional solvents hampers its biomedical applications.Following the dissolution method for dissolving chitosan in plain water developed by us,chitosan was dissolved in ionic liquid followed by overnight freezing at−20℃ and subsequent solvent exchange with plain water at room temperature.In this study,we fabricated a drug-carrying chitosan film via solution casting and air-drying by using the plain water-based chitosan solution.Specifically,brimonidine tartrate(BT),an antiglaucoma drug,was dissolved in the plain-water based solution and used to prepare BT-loaded chitosan film,i.e.,chitosan-BT film.The resulting film is transparent,structurally stable,and mucoadhesive.Micro-sized antiglaucoma BT drug crystals form and are well dispersed in the chitosan film.The chitosan-BT film enables BT to have a high corneal permeability with fast drug release kinetics for potential ocular drug delivery.Boxuan Li Juan Wang Qin Gui Hu Yang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:0

8Diversity and independent evolutionary profiling of rodent-borne viruses in Hainan,a tropical island of China显示文摘The risk of emerging infectious diseases(EID)is increasing globally.More than 60%of EIDs worldwide are caused by animal-borne pathogens.This study aimed to characterize the virome,analyze the phylogenetic evolution,and determine the diversity of rodent-borne viruses in Hainan Province,China.We collected 682 anal and throat samples from rodents,combined them into 28 pools according to their species and location,and processed them for next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.The diverse viral contigs closely related to mammals were assigned to 22 viral families.Molecular clues of the important rodent-borne viruses were further identified by polymerase chain reaction for phylogenetic analysis and annotation of genetic characteristics such as arenavirus,coronavirus,astrovirus,pestivirus,parvovirus,and papillomavirus.We identified pestivirus and bocavirus in Leopoldoms edwardsi from Huangjinjiaoling,and bocavirus in Rattus andamanensis from the national nature reserves of Bangxi with low amino acid identity to known pathogens are proposed as the novel species,and their rodent hosts have not been previously reported to carry these viruses.These results expand our knowledge of viral classification and host range and suggest that there are highly diverse,undiscovered viruses that have evolved independently in their unique wildlife hosts in inaccessible areas.Youyou Li Chuanning Tang Yun Zhang Zihan Li Gaoyu Wang Ruoyan Peng Yi Huang Xiaoyuan Hu Henan Xin Boxuan Feng Xuefang Cao Yongpeng He Tonglei Guo Yijun He Haoxiang Su Xiuji Cui Lina Niu Zhiqiang Wu Jian Yang Fan Yang Gang Lu Lei Gao Qi Jin Meifang Xiao Feifei Yin Jiang Du 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,5:0
9Advances in bismuth-telluride-based thermoelectric devices: Progress and challenges显示文摘By effectively converting waste heat into electricity,thermoelectric materials and devices can provide an alternative approach to tackle the energy crisis.Amongst thermoelectric materials,bismuth telluride(Bi_(2)Te_(3))and its derivatives exhibit high figure of merit ZT values in the near-room-temperature region and show great potential for application in thermoelectric devices.Considering the rapid development of Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thermoelectric materials and their devices in the last few years,a short and systematic review is much needed.Here,we sum-marize the novel designs,properties,and applications of Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thermoelectric devices in different contexts,including wearable,portable,implantable,and cross-disciplinary applications.The challenges and outlook for Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thermoelectric devices are also considered.This work will guide the future development of Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thermoelectric devices that target broader and more practical applications.Tianyi Cao Xiao-Lei Shi Meng Li Boxuan Hu Wenyi Chen Wei-Di Liu Wanyu Lyu Jennifer MacLeod Zhi-Gang Chen 2023eScience2023,3,3:0
