1Clinical analysis of intracranial germinoma's craniospinal irradiation using helical tomotherapy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of intracranial germinoma patients treated with craniospinal irradiation(CSI) using helical tomotherapy(HT) system in our center. Methods: Twenty-three patients who were treated with CSI in our center from January 2008 to July 2012 were collected, with an average age of 20. All of the patients' CSI used the HT system. The total doses were 27-36 Gy/15-20 F(1.5-2 Gy per fraction), and total local doses were 46-60 Gy/30-50 F(5 fractions per week). All female patients for CSI were treated with left-right parallel-opposed field irradiation to protect their ovarian functions. Median follow-up time was 30.9 months(range, 5-67 months). The SPSS19.0 software was used, and the overall survival(OS) was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method.Results: Among 17 patients with assessable tumors, 9 cases(52.9%) were CR, 7 cases(41.2%) were PR, and 1 case(5.9%) was SD. Hematological toxicity was the severest side-effect occurred in the procedure of CSI. The level 1-4 acute leukopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 34.8% and 21.7% and the level 1-4 acute thrombopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 21.7% and 8.7%, respectively.Conclusions: For primary intracranial germinomas, HT can be used to implement CSI for simplifying radiotherapy procedures, improving radiotherapy accuracy, enhancing protection of peripheral organs at risk(ORA) and guaranteeing therapeutic effects. 2Artemisinin derivatives inhibit epithelial ovarian cancer cells via autophagy-mediated cell cycle arrest显示文摘Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC)is the most fatal gynecologic malignancy due to its late diagnosis and lack of curative therapy.The antimalaria compound artemisinin and its derivatives,such as artesunate (ART)and dihydroartemisinin (DHA),have proven to be potent anticancer drugs and act through various anticancer mechanisms.To identify novel targets of artemisinin derivatives in EOC cells,we investigated the effects of ART and DHA on SKOV3 and primary EOC cell growth via CCK-8 assay.Both ART and DHA inhibited EOC cell growth.A cell cycle distribution analysis showed that ART and DHA caused G2/M cell cycle arrest.Moreover,ART and DHA induced autophagy in EOC cells,whereas autophagy inhibitors reversed the cell growth inhibition and cell cycle arrest induced by ART and DHA.Western blot analysis showed that ART and DHA also suppressed the cell cycle-related NF-κB-signaling pathway in EOC cells.These data suggest that artemisinin derivatives induce autophagy,block the cell cycle,and inhibit cell growth in EOC cells.Our research provides new targets for artemisinin derivatives for EOC treatment.Boning Li Shixia Bu Junyan Sun Ying Guo Dongmei Lai 2018Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,12:11

4Perovskite light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres for wearable LiFi communication显示文摘Light fidelity(LiFi),which is emerging as a compelling technology paradigm shifting the common means of highcapacity wireless communication technologies,requires wearable and full-duplex compact design because of its great significance in smart wearables as well as the‘Internet of Things’.However,the construction of the key component of wearable full-duplex LiFi,light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres,is still challenging because of the conflicting process between carrier separation and recombination,as well as the highly dynamic film-forming process.Here,we demonstrate light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres enabled by perovskite QDs with hybrid components.The hybrid perovskite inks endow fibres with super-smooth QD films.This,combined with the small exciton binding energy and high carrier mobility of perovskite QDs,enables successful integration of electroluminescence and photodetection into monofilaments.The bifunctional fibres possess the narrowest electroluminescence full width at half maximum of ~19 nm and,more importantly,the capability for simultaneously transmitting and receiving information.The successful fabrication of narrow emission full-duplex LiFi fibres paves the way for the fabrication and integration of low crosstalk interoperable smart wearables.Qingsong Shan Changting Wei Yan Jiang Jizhong Song Yousheng Zou Leimeng Xu Tao Fang Tiantian Wang Yuhui Dong Jiaxin Liu Boning Han Fengjuan Zhang Jiawei Chen Yongjin Wang Haibo Zeng 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:7

15Fast and compact dynamic data compression based on composite rigid body construction显示文摘3D dynamic datasets compression still poses two challenges. One is high time cost due to growing data and complex computation of compression algorithms. The other is low compression factor because of complex motions of dynamic scenes and unknown motion equations. In this paper, composite rigid body construction for fast and compact compression of 3D dynamic datasets is proposed to solve these two problems. It accelerates the compression with a fast rigid body decomposition based on disjoint union, and avoids serial searching, comparing and merging of the rigid body decomposition. To increase the compression factor,composite rigid body is introduced with consideration of motion consistency among rigid bodies at different time periods.
