1Validation of the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children(PAQ-C) among Chinese Children显示文摘Objective This study initially validates the Chinese version of the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children(PAQ-C), which has been identified as a potentially valid instrument to assess moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) in children among diverse racial groups. Methods The psychometric properties of the PAQ-C with 742 Hong Kong Chinese children were assessed with the scale's internal consistency, reliability, test-retest reliability, confirmatory factory analysis(CFA) in the overall sample, and multistep invariance tests across gender groups as well as convergent validity with body mass index(BMI), and an accelerometry-based MVPA. Results The Cronbach alpha coefficient(α=0.79), composite reliability value(ρ=0.81), and the intraclass correlation coefficient(α=0.82) indicate the satisfactory reliability of the PAQ-C score. The CFA indicated data fit a single factor model, suggesting that the PAQ-C measures only one construct, on MVPA over the previous 7 days. The multiple-group CFAs suggested that the factor loadings and variances and covariances of the PAQ-C measurement model were invariant across gender groups. The PAQ-C score was related to accelerometry-based MVPA(r=0.33) and inversely related to BMI(r=-0.18). 2Dolomite fracture modeling using the Johnson-Holmquist concrete material model:Parameter determination and validation显示文摘In this paper,the Johnson-Holmquist concrete(JHC)constitutive model is adopted for modeling and simulating the fracture of dolomite.A detailed step-by-step procedure for determining all required parameters,based on a series of experiments under quasi-static and dynamic regimes,is proposed.Strain rate coefficients,failure surfaces,equations of state and damage/failure constants are acquired based on the experimental data and finite element analyses.The JHC model with the obtained parameters for dolomite is subsequently validated using quasi-static uniaxial and triaxial compression tests as well as dynamic split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)tests.The influence of mesh size is also analyzed.It shows that the simulated fracture behavior and waveform data are in good agreement with the experimental data for all tests under both quasi-static and dynamic loading conditions.Future studies will implement the validated JHC model in small-and large-scale blasting simulations.Michal Kucewicz Pawel Baranowski Jerzy Maachowski 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,2:4

4Electromagnetic Simulation with 3D FEM for Design Automation in 5G Era显示文摘Electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation(EDA)play an important role in the design of 5G antennas and radio chips.The simulation challenges include electromagnetic effects and long simulation time and this paper focuses on simulation software based on finite-element method(FEM).The state-of-the-art EDA software using novel computational techniques based on FEM can not only accelerate numerical analysis,but also enable optimization,sensitivity analysis and interactive design tuning based on rigorous electromagnetic model of a device.Several new techniques that help to mitigate the most challenging issues related to FEM based simulation are highlighted.In particular,methods for fast frequency sweep,mesh morphing and surrogate models for efficient optimization and manual design tuning are briefly described,and their efficiency is illustrated on examples involving a 5G multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)antenna and filter.It is demonstrated that these new computational techniques enable significant reduction of time needed for design closure with the acceleration rates as large as tens or even over one hundred.Lukasz BALEWSKI Michal BARANOWSKI Maciej JASINSKI Adam LAMECKI Michal MROZOWSKI 2020ZTE Communications2020,18,3:2
5Temperature-dependent electrical properties of β-Ga_2O_3Schottky barrier diodes on highly doped single-crystal substrates显示文摘Beta-phase gallium oxide(β-Ga_2O_3) Schottky barrier diodes were fabricated on highly doped single-crystal substrates,where their temperature-dependent electrical properties were comprehensively investigated by forward and reverse current density – voltage and capacitance – voltage characterization. Both the Schottky barrier height and the ideality factor showed a temperature-dependence behavior, revealing the inhomogeneous nature of the Schottky barrier interface caused by the interfacial defects. With a voltage-dependent Schottky barrier incorporated into thermionic emission theory, the inhomogeneous barrier model can be further examined. Furthermore, the reverse leakage current was found to be dominated by the bulk leakage currents due to the good material and surface quality. Leakage current per distance was also obtained.
