| 1 | Opportunistic maintenance for multi-component systems considering structural dependence and economic dependence显示文摘Although opportunistic maintenance strategies are widely used for multi-component systems, all opportunistic maintenance strategies only consider economic dependence and do not take structural dependence into account. An opportunistic maintenance strategy is presented for a multi-component system that considers both structural dependence and economic dependence.The cost relation and time relation among components based on structural dependence are developed. The maintenance strategy for each component of a multi-component system involves one of five maintenance actions, namely, no-maintenance, a minimal maintenance action, an imperfect maintenance action, a perfect maintenance action, and a replacement action. The maintenance action is determined by the virtual age of the component, the life expectancy of the component, and the age threshold values.Monte Carlo simulation is designed to obtain the optimal opportunistic maintenance strategy of the system over its lifetime. The simulation result reveals that the minimum maintenance cost with a strategy that considers structural dependence is less than that with a strategy that does not consider structural dependence. | 2 | Characteristics of a multi-component MgO-based bioceramic coating synthesized in-situ by plasma electrolytic oxidation显示文摘Plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)has held great potential for the advancement of biodegradable implants,as it helps in developing porous bioceramic coatings on the surface of magnesium alloys.In this research work,MgO-based bioceramic coatings containing the Si,P,Ca,Na,and F elements have been successfully fabricated on an AZ31 magnesium alloy plate utilizing the PEO method.The characteristic current-voltage behavior of the samples during the process was surveyed in an electrolyte containing Ca(H_(2)PO_(4))_(2),Na_(2)SiO_(3)·9H_(2)O,Na_(3)PO_(4)·12H_(2)O,NaF,and KOH with a pH of 12.5 and electrical conductivity of 20 mS/cm^(-1).The results revealed that applying a voltage of 350-400 V(that is 50-100 V higher than the breakdown limit)could greatly facilitate the synthesis of a PEO ceramic coating with fewer defects and more uniform morphology.The resulting coating was a compositionally graded bioceramic layer with a thickness in the range of 3.5±0.4 to 6.0±0.7µm,comprising the above-mentioned elements as promising bioactive agents.The synthesized ceramic features were investigated in terms of the elemental distribution of components through the thickness,which indicated a gradual rise in the Si and P contents and,conversely,a decline in the F content towards the outer surface.The growth mechanism of the PEO coating has been discussed accordingly. | Nasrinsadat Azarian Seyed Mohammad Mousavi Khoei | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,5: | 4 |

| 20 | An Alternative Technique for Compounding and Fabrication of Lithium Ion Conductive PVB Films with Enhanced Thermal Properties and Electrochromic Performance显示文摘This research concerns the development of lithium ions conductive electrolyte from poly(vinyl butyral)(PVB)resin for use as a special interlayer film in electrochromic glass.To obtain the final PVB film with high ionic conductivity and thermal stability,a masterbatch was firstly prepared by mixing of PVB resin with lithium salt(LiClO_(4))and additives in an aqueous ethanol solution.After this,the dried masterbatch were converted into final films by an extrusion process.In this study,PVB film with the highest ionic conductivity value of 4.85×10^(-6) was obtained when the masterbatch was diluted with the neat PVB resin at the weight ratio of 2:1 in the extruder prior to fabrication.The results from cyclic voltammetry over 100 cycles,showed that performance of the electrochromic device(ITO/WO_(3)/PVB electrolyte/ITO)fabricated by using the above PVB film is stable and reversible.In overall,this work demonstrates that ion conductive PVB films with compromised ionic conductivity and thermal stability can be prepared via an extrusion process without the need to modify chemical structure of PVB.This was carried out through the masterbatch approach,by introducing (LiClO_(4)) salts into the plasticized PVB via a solution mixing process prior to converting it into a final film via the extrusion process. | Mohammad Hossein Azarian Jatuphorn Wootthikanokkhan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2022,40,10: | 1 |
