| 1 | Rationally designed synthesis of bright AgInS2/ZnS quantum dots with emission control显示文摘In the blossoming field of Cd-free semiconductor quantum dots(QDs),ternary Ⅰ-Ⅲ-VI QDs have received increasing attention due to the ease of the environmentally friendly synthesis of high-quality materials in water,their high photoluminescence(PL)quantum yields(QYs)in the red and near infrared(NIR)region,and their inherently low toxicity.Moreover,their oxygen-insensitive long PL lifetimes of up to several hundreds of nanoseconds close a gap for applications exploiting the compound-specific parameter PL lifetime.To overcome the lack of reproducible synthetic methodologies and to enable a design-based control of their PL properties,we assessed and modelled the synthesis of high-quality MPA-capped AglnS2/ZnS(AlS/ZnS)QDs.Systematically refined parameters included reaction time,temperature,Ag:In ratio,S:In ratio,Zn:In ratio,MPA:ln ratio,and pH using a design-of-experiment approach.Guidance for the optimization was provided by mathematical models developed for the application-relevant PL parameters,maximum PL wavelength,QY,and PL lifetime as well as the elemental composition in terms of Ag:ln:Zn ratio.With these experimental data-based models,MPA:ln and Ag:ln ratios and pH values were identified as the most important synthesis parameters for PL control and an insight into the connection of these parameters could be gained.Subsequently,the experimental conditions to synthetize QDs with tunable emission and high QY were predicted.The excellent agreement between the predicted and experimentally found PL features confirmed the reliability of our methodology for the rational design of high quality AlS/ZnS QDs with defined PL features.This approach can be straightforwardly extended to other ternary and quaternary QDs and to doped QDs. | Jose X.Soares K.David Wegner David S.M.Ribeiro Armindo Melo Ines Hausler Joao L.M.Santos Ute Resch-Genger | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,9: | 2 |

| 18 | Logistic Optimization in Tourism Networks显示文摘Tourism is one of the activities with high benefits on the development and for many regions,enabling the integration of local populations and economies.In our natural laboratory,the Azores Island of São Miguel,an important share of tourists identifies adventure,leisure and touch with nature,as the main reasons for the visit.The use of footpaths can contribute to the satisfaction of tourists,promoting tourism and the region’s development during their movements on the tourism network,tourists appreciate different types of attractions and need the support of a set of facilities.Tourist decisions are not always done in a rational way,emotions add even more complexity to the human decision process.The movement of tourists within a destination depends on factors related to tourist characteristics,like the time budgets,preferences or destination knowledge,and destination features related to attractions characteristics or accessibility level.The existence of a mathematical model that incorporates the main factors that explain the movement of independent tourists within a destination,in a dynamic way,will make possible the creation of an adaptable software tool.This tool will meet the specific needs of tourists,allowing the use of the network in an optimal way by the different tourist profiles,and the needs of regional government and business,allowing better decisions and the offer of relevant tourism products.This article is based on the authors’previous research and identifies the relevance of tourism for regional development,finds the main tourists’mobility criteria on the study territory,using as main support for the footpath network,recognises the necessary modelling process and develops the foundation for the building of the mathematical model that explains the movement of tourists within the destination,making possible a future adaptable software tool. | Armindo Frias João Cabral Álvaro Costa | 2022 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering2022,10,1: | 0 |

| 20 | Hydraulic energy indices reveal spatial dependence in a subtropical soil under maize crop in Southern Brazil显示文摘Soil physical quality(SPQ)assessment is an important part in the evaluation of soil use,management,and conservation.It can be assessed using several physical properties,hydraulic indices,and functions.Soils from tropical and temperate regions represent different physical behaviors,and the quantification of their physical properties is important to support soil evaluation and modelling.The objective of this study was to evaluate the SPQ in a subtropical field under maize crop cultivation according to its physical properties,hydraulic indices,and functions in an attempt to infer the spatial variability and to determine the behavior of soil physical structure across a spatial domain.Commonly used soil key physical variables,such as texture,bulk density,total porosity,saturated hydraulic conductivity,and organic carbon content,were measured in a regular grid with a soil sampling density of 30 points per hectare,covering an area of0.5 ha.Saturated hydraulic conductivity varied strongly between subsamples and in the field,suggesting the heterogeneity of the soil structure regarding water drainage.The physical variables were combined with other indicators,which were based on the soil water retention curve and the pore size distribution(PSD)function.Correlation analysis was performed to verify the relationship between the measured and calculated variables,and some strong linear correlations were revealed,such as between aeration energy index and microporosity(r=0.608)and water retention energy index with microporosity(r=0.532)and with bulk density(r=0.541).For most sampled locations,the shape and location parameters of PSD showed results outside of the optimum ranges,whereas the hydraulic energy indices and cumulative hydraulic energy functions presented values that were similar to those found for some tropical soils described in the literature.The spatial variability of these indices was described using semivariograms and kriged maps,indicating the variability of the SPQ in this field. | Maria Eliza TUREK Robson Andre ARMINDO Ole WENDROTH | 2021 | Pedosphere2021,31,5: | 0 |
