| 8 | Variations of soil organic carbon fractions in response to conservative vegetation successions on the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘Land use changes profoundly affect the equilibrium of soil organic carbon(soC)sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions. With the current global climatic changes,it is vital to understand the influence of ecological restoration and conservation management on the dynamics of soC under different land uses, especially in erosion-endangered Loess soils. Therefore,we investigated changes in soc through a suit of labile fractions, namely:light fraction organic C(LFOC),heavy fraction organic C(HFOC),coarse particulate organic C(CPOC),fine particulate organic C(FPOC),and dissolved organic C(DOC),from two forests i.e.,Robinia pseudoacacia(RP)and Platycladus orientalis(PO),with different ages,in comparison with farmland(FL).The SOC and STN contents significantly increased over 42 years in the RP forest where the contents of CPOC and FPOC were significantly higher than in the FL.Moreover, total SOC and its labile fractions,in the studied land use types, significantly correlated with soil CacO3,pH,and STN contents, indicating their key roles in SoC sequestration. The results reported here from different vegetation with different ages provide a better understanding of sOC and STN alterations at different stages of vegetation restoration. Our findings suggest that long-term natural vegetation restoration could be an effective approach for SoC sequestration and soil conservation on the Loess soil. | Muhammad Imran Ghani Jing Wang Peng Li Shamina Imran Pathan Tanveer Ali Sial Rahul Datta Ali Mokhtar Esmat F.Ali Jörg Rinklebe Sabry MShaheen Mengyun Liu Hamada Abdelrahman | 2023 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2023,11,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Natural Walls of Anatolia: formation and development of Diş Kayalıkları as a structural landform (Sivas, Türkiye)显示文摘The Diş Kayalıkları is one of the largest and most striking examples of crests in the world and is located between Eskidere and Boğazören villages of the İmranlı district of the Sivas province in Turkey. The crests, which resemble castle walls when viewed from afar, have a real wall pattern due to the right-angled crack system of the bedrock when viewed closely. This study aims at investigating the geomorphological features of the Diş Kayalıkları and determining how the geological and geomorphological evolution of the Diş Kayalıkları took place and how the current formation mechanism continues. In the region, the mid-latitude continental climate prevails with cold humid winters and warm dry summers. The bedrock consists of Miocene bedded deposits of different resistance, folded by young tectonic movements. Diş Kayalıkları was formed by selective erosion of less resistant terrain around a pack of resistant rock on the steeper southern slope of an asymmetrical anticline. It has a length of 4750 m in the approximately northwest-southeast direction, a maximum height of 30 m, and a width varying between 5 and 8 m. In the present morphological appearance of the Diş Kayalıkları, it can be stated that the structure formed after the tectonic formation process was eroded under the control of the local climate and crest formation was realized. In the following process, the crest experienced a polycyclic process where different landforms were formed. There are smaller landforms such as karren, cave and rock window on Diş Kayalıkları, and macrofossil beds in some places. This highly attractive geomorphosite, unknown to wider public, should be investigated from various scientific aspects and should be brought to regional tourism by making the necessary infrastructure and promotion studies. | UZUN Ali AYLAR Faruk ZEYBEK Halil Ibrahim GÜRGÖZE Serkan BAHADIR Muhammet ALEMDAĞ Selçuk | 2023 | Journal of Mountain Science2023,20,7: | 0 |
| 10 | Management of telaprevir-based triple therapy for hepatitis C virus recurrence post liver transplant显示文摘AIM: To characterize management of telaprevir(TVR)-based triple therapy of hepatitis C virus(HCV) reinfection after liver transplantation(LT).METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed safety and efficacy of telaprevir- based triple therapy in a single center cohort of 19 patients with HCV genotype(GT) 1 recurrence after LT, with respect to factors possibly predicting sustained viral response(SVR) or non-SVR. All patients were treated with TVR, pegylated(PEG) and ribavirine(RBV) for 12 wk followed by a dual phase with PEG/RBV for 12 wk in 7 patients and for 36 wk in 5 patients. RESULTS: In total 11/19(58%) of patients achieved a sustained response. All(11/11) SVR patients showed a rapid viral response at treatment weeks 4 and 11/14 rapid virological response(RVR) patients achieved SVR. Notably, all(7/7) patients who completed 48 wk of therapy and 80%(4/5) patients who completed 24 wk of therapy achieved SVR24. Treatment failure was significantly(P > 0.049) more frequent in GT1 a infection(5/7) compared to GT1b(3/12) infection and was associated with emergence of resistance-associated mutations in the NS3 protease domain. Bilirubin level at baseline is also related to SVR(P > 0.030). None of the patients had to discontinue treatment due to side effects. CONCLUSION: RVR, GT and bilirubin are clearly related to achievement of SVR. Providing a thorough patient selection and monitoring, a full course of TVR-based triple therapy in LT patients is feasible and achieves high SVR rates. | Kerstin Herzer Angela Papadopoulos-Khn Anne Achterfeld Ali Canbay Katja Piras-Straub Andreas Paul Andreas Walker Jrg Timm Guido Gerken | 2015 | World Journal of Hepatology2015,7,9: | 0 |
