1An efficient hybrid evolutionary optimization algorithm based on PSO and SA for clustering显示文摘The K-means algorithm is one of the most popular techniques in clustering. Nevertheless, the performance of the Kmeans algorithm depends highly on initial cluster centers and converges to local minima. This paper proposes a hybrid evolutionary programming based clustering algorithm, called PSO-SA, by combining particle swarm optimization (PSO) and simulated annealing (SA). The basic idea is to search around the global solution by SA and to increase the information exchange among particles using a mutation operator to escape local optima. Three datasets, Iris, Wisconsin Breast Cancer, and Ripley's Glass, have been considered to show the effectiveness of the proposed clustering algorithm in providing optimal clusters. 2Fabrication and characterization of Fe_3O_4@SiO_2@TiO_2@Ho nanostructures as a novel and highly efficient photocatalyst for degradation of organic pollution显示文摘In this work we synthesize a novel and highly efficient photocatalyst for degradation of methyl orange and rhodamine B. In addition, a new method for synthesis of Fe_3O_4@SiO_2@TiO_2@Ho magnetic core-shell nanoparticles with spherical morphology is proposed. The crystal structures, morphology and chemical properties of the as-synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy dispersive X-ray(EDS), X-ray diffraction(XRD), UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) techniques. The photocatalytic activity of Fe_3O_4@SiO_2@TiO_2@Ho was investigated by degradation of methyl orange(MO) as cationic dye and rhodamine B(Rh B) as anionic dye in aqueous solution under UV/vis irradiation. The results indicate that about 92.1% of Rh B and78.4% of MO were degraded after 120 and 150 min, respectively. These degradation results show that Fe_3O_4@SiO_2@TiO_2@Ho nanoparticles are better photocatalyst than Fe3O4@Si O2@TiO 2@Ho for degradation of MO and Rh B. 3An ensemble method for data stream classification in the presence of concept drift显示文摘One recent area of interest in computer science is data stream management and processing. By ‘data stream', we refer to continuous and rapidly generated packages of data. Specific features of data streams are immense volume, high production rate, limited data processing time, and data concept drift; these features differentiate the data stream from standard types of data. An issue for the data stream is classification of input data. A novel ensemble classifier is proposed in this paper. The classifier uses base classifiers of two weighting functions under different data input conditions. In addition, a new method is used to determine drift, which emphasizes the precision of the algorithm. Another characteristic of the proposed method is removal of different numbers of the base classifiers based on their quality. Implementation of a weighting mechanism to the base classifiers at the decision-making stage is another advantage of the algorithm. This facilitates adaptability when drifts take place, which leads to classifiers with higher efficiency. Furthermore, the proposed method is tested on a set of standard data and the results confirm higher accuracy compared to available ensemble classifiers and single classifiers. 11FICA: fuzzy imperialist competitive algorithm显示文摘Despite the success of the imperialist competitive algorithm(ICA)in solving optimization problems,it still suffers from frequently falling into local minima and low convergence speed.In this paper,a fuzzy version of this algorithm is proposed to address these issues.In contrast to the standard version of ICA,in the proposed algorithm,powerful countries are chosen as imperialists in each step;according to a fuzzy membership function,other countries become colonies of all the empires.In absorption policy,based on the fuzzy membership function,colonies move toward the resulting vector of all imperialists.In this algorithm,no empire will be eliminated;instead,during the execution of the algorithm,empires move toward one point.Other steps of the algorithm are similar to the standard ICA.In experiments,the proposed algorithm has been used to solve the real world optimization problems presented for IEEE-CEC 2011 evolutionary algorithm competition.Results of experiments confirm the performance of the algorithm.Saeid ARISH Ali AMIRI Khadije NOORI 2014Journal of Zhejiang University-Science C(Computers and Electronics)2014,15,5:1
