1Role of liver biopsy in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The role of liver biopsy in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has been challenged over time by the ability of imaging techniques to characterize liver lesions in patients with known cirrhosis.In fact,in the diagnostic algorithm for this tumor,histology is currently relegated to controversial cases.Furthermore,the risk of complications,such as tumor seeding and bleeding,as well as inadequate sampling have further limited the use of liver biopsy for HCC management.However,there is growing evidence of prognostic and therapeutic information available from microscopic and molecular analysis of HCC and,as the information content of the tissue sample increases,the advantages of liver biopsy might modify the current risk/benefit ratio.We herein review the role and potentiality of liver biopsy in the diagnosis and management of HCC.As the potentiality of precision medicine comes to the management of HCC,it will be crucial to have rapid pathways to define prognosis,and even treatment,by identifying the patients who could most benefit from target-driven therapies.All of the above reasons suggest that the current role of liver biopsy in the management of HCC needs substantial reconsideration.Luca Di Tommaso Marco Spadaccini Matteo Donadon Nicola Personeni Abubaker Elamin Alessio Aghemo Ana Lleo 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,40:11
2一种新型膦酸锆孔材料的合成及其对金属离子的吸附性质显示文摘骨架含强配位基的有机无机杂化多级孔材料合成是目前吸附研究的一个重要领域。以bis(hexamethylene)triamino-N,N-bisacetyl-phosphonic acid和ZrOCl_2·8H_2O为原料、应用水热合成技术合成了一种新型膦酸锆多级孔材料Zr PTA,并通过FT-IR、TGA、XRD、XPS、SEM以及元素分析等手段对制备产物进行了表征。研究结果表明,ZrPTA具有棒状微形貌,其内部存在大量直径为1.38 nm和1.93 nm的微孔以及直径为2.99 nm的介孔,其表面积为112.2 m^2/g。ZrPTA对水溶液中Pb^(2+)、Cu^(2+)和Cd^(2+)三种金属离子具有良好的吸附作用,最大吸附量分别为742.7、689.8和627.0 mg/g,远远高于文献报道值。这一性质使Zr PTA具有潜在的废水处理功效,显示出诱人的应用前景。Abubaker Abutartour Lotfia El Majdoub 史亚赛 李妮丽 徐庆红 2017无机材料学报2017,32,3:5
3Two Distinct Fluorescent Quantum Clusters of Gold Starting from Metallic Nanoparticles by pH-Dependent Ligand Etching显示文摘Two fl uorescent quantum clusters of gold,namely Au25 and Au8,have been synthesized from mercaptosuccinic acid-protected gold nanoparticles of 45 nm core diameter by etching with excess glutathione.While etching at pH~3 yielded Au_(25),that at pH 7-8 yielded Au_(8).This is the fi rst report of the synthesis of two quantum clusters starting from a single precursor.This simple method makes it possible to synthesize well-defined clusters in gram quantities.Since these clusters are highly fl uorescent and are highly biocompatible due to their low metallic content,they can be used for diagnostic applications.Madathumpady Abubaker Habeeb Muhammed Subramani Ramesh Sudarson Sekhar Sinha Samir Kumar Pal Thalappil Pradeep 2008Nano Research2008,1,4:5
4Impact of Intensive Greenhouse Production System on Soil Quality显示文摘Composite top- and subsoil samples were collected from the greenhouses in the Al-Balawneh area,Jordan,where intensive greenhouse production system(IGPS) has been practiced since 1998,to study the impact of IGPS on soil quality as measured by the chemical and biological properties to develop a sustainable production system.The study showed that IGPS led to higher electrical conductivity in top- and subsoils compared to an uncultivated soil(control).Quality and amount of irrigation water,lack of efficient drainage,and quantity and types of applied fertilizers were major factors resulting in salt buildup.IGPS resulted in lower total N(TN) and NO_3-N in the soil compared to the control.The lower TN was due to crop uptake,microbial immobilization,volatilization,and irregular application of composted animal manure or poultry manure.In contrast,higher residual Olsen-P content was detected in both soil layers of greenhouses than in the control.Residual P was classified as very high in the topsoil layers and sufficient to high in the subsoil layers.Residual available K in the soils of greenhouses was relatively lower than that in the control and it was,however,classified as high to very high.A large increase of Cl and a considerable decrease in the bacterial count were observed in both soil layers of IGPS compared to the control treatment.Economically sustainable soil management practices need to be adopted by farmers to achieve a sustainable and profitable production.This can be accomplished through education,targeted towards the farming community in the central Jordan Valley.Tarek G.AMMARI Ragheb TAHHAN Nizar AL SULEBI Alaedeen TAHBOUB Rakad A.TA'ANY Samih ABUBAKER 2015Pedosphere2015,25,2:4
5Offshore Carbonate Facies Characterization and Reservoir Quality of Miocene Rocks in the Southern Margin of South China Sea显示文摘Carbonate rocks are important hydrocarbon reservoirs around the globe and in Southeast Asia a key one,particularly,is the Central Luconia province.Understanding the internal characteristics,distribution,geometry and lateral extent of these rocks is essential for exploration and production success.Detailed work on Miocene carbonate reservoir facies,north of Bintulu,offshore Sarawak includes qualitative and quantitative analysis of photomicrographs and reservoir quality,considering especially microporosity.Stratigraphically,these carbonates are known as Cycles IV and V and are represented by eight major facies types(F-1 to F-8).They comprise:coated grain packstone(F-1)(av.Ф=3%,av.Kh=0.5 m D)(av=Average;?=total porosity,and Kh=permeability);massive coral lime grainstone(F-2)(av.Ф=14.7%,av.Kh=6 m D);oncolite lime grain-dominated packstone(F-3)(av.Ф=10%,av.Kh=4 m D);skeletal lime/dolo-packstone(F-4)(av.Ф=15%,av.Kh=4.6 m D);coral(platy)lime mud-dominated packstone(F-5)(av.Ф=4%,av.Kh=0.5 m D);coral(branching)lime-dominated pack-grainstone(F-6)(av.Ф=15%,av.Kh=1 m D);cross-bedded skeletal lime packstone(F-7)(av.Ф=20%,av.Kh=2 m D);and bioturbated carbonate mudstone/chalk(F-8)(av.Ф=8%,av.Kh=0.8 m D).Study of thin sections reveals that red algae,foraminifera,and corals are the dominant fossil components with a minor admixture of skeletal fragments of echinoderms,bivalves,bryozoans,and green algae.All parameters,e.g.,facies characterization,petrography,porosity–permeability value,and microporosity value were utilized to obtain a reliable reservoir quality.The microporosity value was quantified using digital image analysis software and is significant for recognition of good reservoir quality.Consideration of the presence of microporosity against the total porosity in the carbonate rocks has improved the correlation coefficient(R2)value,which has increased from 0.51 to 0.82.Hammad Tariq JANJUHAH Abubaker ALANSARI 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:4
6Fluorescent Superlattices of Gold Nanoparticles:A New Class of Functional Materials显示文摘Fluorescent three-dimensional(3-D)superlattices of dansyl glutathione protected gold nanoparticles,with potential applications in molecular detection,have been synthesized at an air/water interface by controlling the pH of the nanoparticle suspension.The number of fluorophores per nanoparticle was calculated to be~127.Morphologies of the superlattice crystals were examined using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Most of the crystals observed were triangular in shape.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)and small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)were used to study the packing of nanoparticles in these crystals.Both these studies showed that the nanoparticles were arranged in a face-centered cubic(fcc)pattern with a particle-particle distance(center-center)of~10.5 nm.Evolution of the crystal morphologies with time was also examined.The fluorescence properties of these triangles were studied using confocal fluorescence imaging and confocal Raman mapping,which were in good agreement with the morphologies observed by SEM.The superlattice exhibits near-infrared(NIR)absorption in the range 1100-2500 nm.Easy synthesis of such functional nanoparticle-based solids makes it possible to use them in novel applications.We utilized the fluorescence of dansyl glutathione gold superlattice crystals for the selective detection of bovine serum albumin(BSA),the major protein constituent of blood plasma,based on the selective binding of the naphthalene ring of the dansyl moiety with site I of BSA.Edakkattuparambil Sidharth Shibu Madathumpady Abubaker Habeeb Muhammed Keisaku Kimura Thalappil Pradeep 2009Nano Research2009,2,3:3

9后房型人工晶状体植入用于角膜移植术后近视和散光的矫正(英文)显示文摘目的:评估角膜移植术(KP)后植入后房型人工晶状体(ICL)的安全性、屈光效果和视力。方法:单中心回顾性研究。包括32例35眼接受后房型人工晶状体植入以矫正角膜移植术后近视和散光。患者在无法配戴眼镜、隐形眼镜或准分子激光术治疗不当的情况下接受后房型人工晶状体植入术。观察患者裸眼远视力(UDVA)、最佳矫正远视力(CDVA),屈光度及并发症。对术前术后随访资料进行分析(16.7±13mo)(P<0.05)。结果:术前,患者等效球镜和柱镜分别为-4.00~-20.00 D和-2.00~-9.00 D。平均等效球镜由术前-11.41±3.62 D显著下降至术后-1.95±1.78 D(P<0.0001)。平均UDVA由术前20/400显著增加至术后20/25(P<0.0001)。与术前相比,术后CDVA平均提高1.5行,其中37%提高2行或更多。1眼(2.8%)CDVA降低≥1行。术中或术后无并发症。结论:后房型人工晶状体植入对于无法配戴眼镜、隐形眼镜或准分子激光术治疗不当的患者是一种安全有效的治疗手段。Nasser A Alsabaani Abdullah Abubaker Salem Almalki 2018国际眼科杂志2018,18,6:2
