| 1 | Laser speckle imaging and wavelet analysis of cerebral blood flow associated with the opening of the blood–brain barrier by sound显示文摘The cerebral blood flow(CBF) alterations related to sound-induced opening of the blood–brain barrier(BBB) in adult mice are studied using laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI) and wavelet analysis of vascular physiology. The results clearly show that the opening of the BBB is accompanied by the changes of venous but not microvessel circulation in the brain. The elevation of the BBB permeability is associated with the decrease of venous CBF and the increase of its complexity. These data suggest that the cerebral veins rather than microvessels are sensitive components of the CBF related to the opening BBB. | O.Semyachkina-Glushkovskaya A.Abdurashitov A.Pavlov A.Shirokov N.Navolokin O.Pavlova A.Gekalyuk M.Ulanova N.Shushunova A.Bodrova E.Saranceva A.Khorovodov I.Agranovich V.Fedorova M.Sagatova A.E.Shareef C.Zhang D.Zhu V.Tuchin | 2017 | Chinese Optics Letters2017,15,9: | 3 |
| 2 | Characterization of inflammation and insulin resistance in high-fat diet-induced male C57BL/6J mouse model of obesity显示文摘Background: Animal models of diet-induced obesity(DIO) are commonly used in medical research for mimicking human diseases. There is no universal animal model, and careful evaluation of variety of factors needs to be considered when designing new experiments. Here, we investigated the effect of 9 weeks high-fat diet(HFD) intervention, providing 60% energy from fat, on parameters of inflammation and insulin resistance in male C57 BL/6 J mice. Methods: Six weeks old mice were initiated on regular diet(RD) or HFD providing 60 kcal energy from fat for 9 weeks. Fasting blood glucose levels were measured by glucometer, and fasting plasma levels of insulin and proinflammatory cytokines by Luminex assay. Insulin sensitivity was evaluated by using QUICKI and HOMA2 indexes. Results: HFD mice showed ~ 40% higher body weight and ~ 20% larger abdominal circumference, due to an increase in the white adipose tissue mass. Liver examination revealed increased size and higher hepatic lipid accumulation in livers from HFD mice compared to their RD counterparts. Animals from the HFD group were characterized with significantly higher presence of crown-like structures(CLS) in WAT and higher plasma levels of proinflammatory cytokines(TNF-α, IL-6, leptin, MCP-1, PAI-1, and resistin). HFD-fed mice also demonstrated impaired insulin sensitivity(lower QUICKI, higher HOMA-insulin resistance(HOMA-IR), and lower HOMA-percent sensitivity(HOMA-%S)) index values. Conclusion: Male C57 BL/6 J mice on 9 weeks HFD providing 60 kcal energy from fat display impaired insulin sensitivity and chronic inflammation, thus making this DIO mouse model appropriate for studies of early stages of obesity-related pathology. | Dimiter Avtanski Valentin A.Pavlov Kevin J.Tracey Leonid Poretsky | 2019 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2019,2,4: | 3 |
| 3 | Growth of carbon nanotube arrays on various CtxMey alloy films by chemical vapour deposition method显示文摘Carbon nanotube(CNT) arrays were fabricated on Ct-Me-N-(O) alloys with content of Ct in the range of 6–40 at.% by chemical vapour deposition. The Ct was a catalytic metal from the group of the following elements: Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, while Me was a transition metal from the group of Ⅳ–Ⅶ of the periodic table(where Me = Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ta, W, Re). Carbon nanotubes were found to grow efficiently on the alloy surface with its composition containing Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Hf, Nb or Ta. The growth of CNTs was not observed when the alloy contained W or Re. Additions of oxygen and nitrogen in the alloy facilitated the formation of oxynitrides and catalyst extrusion on the alloy surface. Replacement of the metals in alloy composition affected the diameter of the resulting CNTs. The obtained results showed that the alloy films of varying thickness(10–500 nm) may be used for the CNTs growth. The resulting CNT material was highly homogenous and its synthesis reproducible. | Pawel Mierczynski Sergey V.Dubkov Sergey V.Bulyarskii Alexander A.Pavlov Sergey N.Skorik Alexey Yu Trifonov Agnieszka Mierczynska Eugene P.Kitsyuk Sergey A.Gavrilov Tomasz P.Maniecki Dmitry G.Gromov | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,3: | 2 |
| 4 | Trapping the Short-Chain Odd Carbon Number Olefins Using Nickel(Ⅱ)-Catalyzed Tandem Ethylene Oligomerization and Friedel-Crafts Alkylation of Toluene显示文摘Nickel(Ⅱ)complexes with pyrazole-based ligands are widely employed in catalysis of ethylene oligomerization and subsequent Friedel-Crafts alkylation of toluene. We have prepared ten new nickel(Ⅱ)dibromide complexes with various substituted bis(azolyl)methanes. They have been characterized using^(1)H NMR,IR,high resolution mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The structures of three complexes have been unambiguously established using X-ray diffraction. It was found that these complexes in the presence of Et2AlCl or Et_(3)Al_(2)Cl_(3)are active both in ethylene oligomerization and Friedel-Crafts alkylation processes(activity up to 3720 kgoligomer·mol[Ni]^(−1)·h^(−1)).The use of Et_(3)Al_(2)Cl_(3)results in a higher share of alkylated products(up to 60%).Moreover,catalytic systems activated with Et_(3)Al_(2)Cl_(3)produced small amounts of odd carbon number olefins(up to 0.8%).The Friedel-Crafts alkylation was used as a trap for previously undetected short-chain odd carbon number olefins(C_(3)and C_(5)). | Sergey V.Zubkevich Vladislav A.Tuskaev Svetlana Ch.Gagieva Alexander A.Pavlov Victor N.Khrustalev Fei Wang Li Pan Yuesheng Li Daniele Saracheno Anton A.Vikhrov Dmitry N.Zarubin Boris M.Bulychev | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,21: | 0 |
