| 3 | Review on fate of chlorine during thermal processing of solid wastes显示文摘Chlorine(Cl) is extensively present in solid wastes, causing significant problems during the thermal conversion of waste to energy or fuels, by combustion, gasification or pyrolysis.This paper introduces the analytical methods for determining the Cl content in solid materials and presents the concentrations of Cl in various types of wastes, as reported in literature. Then, it provides a comprehensive analysis on the Cl emission behavior and Cl species formed during the thermal processing of the inorganic and organic Cl sources. The challenges resulted from the reactions between the formed Cl species and the ferrous metals, the heavy metals and the organic matters are summarized and discussed, e.g., high temperature corrosion, heavy metal evaporation and dioxin formation. The quality degradation of products(oil, char and syngas) by Cl is analyzed. | 8 | Hydrodynamics of the interceptor on a 2-D flat plate by CFD and experiments显示文摘Nowadays, the use of interceptor by both partial and total dynamic lift crafts is quite common. In this article, a lot of evidence is given regarding the effectiveness of interceptor. The interceptor, when placed at the stern region, changes the pressure distribution around the craft. Its presence affects drag force, lifting force and the position of pressure's center leading to a new trim. This study focuses on hydrodynamic effects of interceptors on a 2-D flat plate based on both computational fluid dynamic(CFD) and experimental approaches. The Reynolds average Navier-Stokes(RANS) equations are used to model the flow around a fixed flat plate with an interceptor at different heights and attack angles. Based on finite volume method and SIMPLE algorithm which uses static structures, this model can be analyzed and the RANS results can be compared with the experimental data obtained in the current channel of the laboratory of waves and current of COPPE/UFRJ(LOC in Portuguese acronym). According to the results, the increase of pressure at the end of the flat plate was proportional to the interceptor height. In addition, the existence of interceptors can significantly increase the lift force coefficient at high angles of attack also proportional to the interceptor height. The presence of interceptor at the end of the flat plate increased both the lift coefficient and the drag coefficient but hydrodynamic drag did not grow as fast as the lift coefficient did. The lift coefficient increased much more. Furthermore, the results showed that the interceptor effectiveness is proportional to the boundary layer thickness at the end of the flat plate. As the interceptor was inside the boundary layer alterations of flow speed led to changes in boundary layer thickness, directly affecting interceptor's efficiency. Optimum choice of interceptor height had a great effect on its efficiency, and in choosing it the flow speed and length of the boat must be taken into consideration. | MANSOORI M. | 11 | Measurement of shear movements in the overburden strata ahead of longwall mining显示文摘An underground coal mine located in New South Wales has a target coal seam located 160–180 m deep directly below a 16–20 m thick conglomerate unit that has been associated with significant periodic weighting events on the longwall face. As part of the investigations to better understand the causes of periodic weighting at the mine,inclinometers capable of measuring horizontal shear movements through the full section of the overburden strata were installed ahead of mining at two locations approximately1 km apart above the centre of two longwall panels. These inclinometers were monitored as the longwall approached each site. This paper presents the details of the installation,the results of the inclinometer monitoring at both sites,and the insights that these measurements provide for overburden behaviour about longwall panels. Horizontal shear movements were observed to develop on shear horizons that correlate closely across the two sites suggesting a mechanism that is consistent across a large area of the mine. Shear movements were observed to develop on a single horizon near the top of the conglomerate strata that was mobilised almost immediately after initial formation of the longwall goaf at a distance of 425 m ahead of the longwall face. | Mills K.W. | 13 | Methane Generation and Capture of U.S.Landfills显示文摘Analysis of the U.S.EPA(Environmental Protection Agency)database of 2,549 MSW(Municipal Solid Waste)landfills showed that there were 1,164 operating landfills in which 348 million short tons(316 million metric tons)of waste were landfilled in 2017.In total,these landfills occupy about 370 million square meters of land so it is not possible to monitor the generation of LFG(Landfill Gas)generation accurately,or collect most of the LFG generated.This study was based on the hypothesis that,on the average,methane generation is proportional to the tonnage of wastes landfilled annually.The Landfill Methane Outreach Program of the EPA(EPA-LMOP)compiles annual operating data of all methane-capturing landfills.Our analysis of the 2018 data for 396 LMOP operating landfills showed that 210 million short tons of wastes were deposited and 5.06 million short tons of methane were captured,i.e.,an average capture of 0.024-ton CH4/ton waste.On the basis of the anaerobic reaction of the DOC(Degradable Organic Carbon)in landfilled wastes,the average rate of methane generation from all operating U.S.landfills was estimated to be 0.05 ton of CH4 per ton of annual capacity;this number corresponds to bioreaction of about one half of the total organic carbon in MSW.On this basis,the average rate of CH4 emission from the 396 LMOP landfills was estimated to be 0.026-ton CH4 per annual ton of deposition and the average efficiency of LFG capture,48%.Adding up all 1,164 operating landfills,their total emission of methane was estimated at 11.9 million metric tons of CH4.At CH4/CO2 equivalence of 25,this number corresponds to CO2-eq emissions of 270 million metric tons,i.e.,5.1%of the U.S.energy related carbon dioxide emissions. | Nickolas J.Themelis A.C.(Thanos)Bourtsalas | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering(A)2021,10,6: | 4 |

| 15 | 矿物油对茶园小贯小绿叶蝉的控制效果和对茶叶感官品质的影响显示文摘小贯小绿叶蝉Empoasca(Matsumurasca)onukii Matsuda是东亚茶树的重要害虫之一,目前在我国主要采用化学防治。本文研究一种n C23园艺用矿物油、加德士的D-C-Tron NR对其产卵和取食行为的影响,以及对其田间种群的控制效果,为在茶园使用矿物油替代化学农药进行防治提供依据。室内选择性试验结果表明,用矿物油150倍液、200倍液处理茶树离体嫩梢对小贯小绿叶蝉成虫都有显著的拒食和产卵忌避效果,第3天的拒食率分别为85.59%、89.17%,产卵忌避率分别为70.22%、91.5%,200倍液处理对若虫也有显著的驱避和拒食效果,第2天驱避率为81.96%,第3天拒食率为85.86%。田间试验结果表明,矿物油100倍液、200倍液、300倍液处理都显著降低小贯小绿叶蝉田间种群的虫口密度,其中100倍液和200倍液的防治效果无显著差异,处理后5 d若虫的校正减退率分别达89.13%、87.63%,成虫分别达87.58%、84.22%,都显著高于300倍液的防效。田间试验结果还表明,矿物油3个浓度处理后茶梢上的卵量显著减少,其中100倍液处理第7天的产卵忌避率最高,达80.86%,而各处理茶园蜘蛛的数量与对照相比都没有显著差异。另外,用矿物油200倍液喷施茶树后5 d、10 d采摘的茶芽制成绿茶,经感官评审与对照没有差异,说明矿物油对小贯小绿叶蝉具有较好的防治效果,而且对茶园蜘蛛安全,对茶叶感官品质没有影响,可以在小绿叶蝉防治中推广应用。 | 徐长宝 谢戈亮 柯伟政 王潇潇 林雨晴 BEATTIE George A.C. 岑伊静 | 2020 | 环境昆虫学报2020,42,4: | 3 |
