1Deep water bottom current deposition in the northern South China Sea显示文摘There are some active bottom currents on the northern continental slope of the South China Sea (SCS). Reflection seismic profiles show that the bottom current channels occur in the water depth range of 1000 to 2700 m,extending from the NE to the SW,leading to accumulation of discontinuous drifts with higher sedimentation rates on the eastern side of the channel. The stacking pattern of the layers sug-gests that these drifts propagated southwestward,following the direction of the bottom currents. One sedimentary drift to the southeast of the Dongsha Islands has the highest sedimentation rate of 97cm/ka in the last 12 ka. The sedimentary characteristics of the sediment layers indicate that these bottom currents are most likley caused by the water movement of a branch of the West Pacific Ocean Current,which enters the northern SCS via the Bashi Strait. Once formed,the bottom currents trans-port sediments along the northern slope of SCS southwestward and finally disappear into the central basin of the SCS. 2TRANSPORT OF THE SUSPENDED SEDIMENT IN THE CHANGJIANG ESTUARY显示文摘The Changjiang River is characterized by the enormous volume of runoff and the great amount of sediment load with remarkable seasonal variation. The annual runoff sometimes is respondent to the amount of sediment load, and sometimes not. The amount of monthly sediment load after the month of the maximum runoff is larger than those before the month. The sediment concentration and net quantity of sediment transport in the vicinity of the river mouth varies greatly in time between the ebb and flood, spring and neap, and dry seasons and flood seasons. The three bifurcations also have differences in concentration and net quantity in space. Even in the same bifurcation they have differences in and out of the sand bar. At present, the North Channel is the main passage for water and sediment load emptying into the sea from the Changjiang River. More than 50 percent of the sediments from the river basin are deposited nearby the South Branch entrance and the main depositional area is situated in subaqueous delta off the South Channel. 3Drift and deposition of ultra-low altitude and low volume application in paddy field显示文摘Field trials were performed to evaluate various techniques for measuring spray deposition and aerial drift during spray application to paddy field.The application of a spraying agent containing the fluorescent dye Rhodamine-B was applied by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)which flew at a height of 5 m,a speed of 3 m/s,and the wind speed of 3 m/s.The results showed that because the downdraft produced by a helicopter rotor increased the penetrability of crops,there is a higher deposition on the upper layer and the under layer than the traditional spraying.The average deposition on the upper layer accounts for 28% of the total spraying,the deposition on the under layer accounts for 26% of the total spraying.The deposition on the under layer takes up 92.8% of the deposition on the upper layer.Droplets drift data showed that the drift of non-target area took up 12.9% of the total liquid spray.The 90% drifting droplets were located within a range of 8 m of the target area;the drift quantity was almost zero at a distance of 50 m away from the treated area.Xue Xinyu Tu Kang Qin Weicai Yubin Lan Huihui Zhang 2014International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,4:40
4Performances evaluation of four typical unmanned aerial vehicles used for pesticide application in China显示文摘In recent years,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)for plant protection have achieved rapid development in China.In order to test and evaluate the performances of pesticides application and development status of UAVs in China,four typical UAV models were selected to test the spraying coverage,penetrability,droplets density and the work efficiency.The results showed that the deposition and spraying liquid coverage were inconsistent both in lateral and longitudinal direction.Under the condition of the similar amount of spray volume and operation parameters,the volume median diameter(VMD)of the droplet was negatively correlated with the coverage density.The failure of the UAVs for plant protection mainly took up on the blockage of nozzle,transfusion tube and the liquid pump.The failure rate of UAVs took up 3.73%-4.36%of the total working time.The operation of UAVs during ground service took up 50%of the total working time,the preparation work took up 10%,and the route planning took up around 10%,while net operation time only took up around 30%.On the whole,the high efficiency of UAV was not fully achieved;the daily operated area was not in a satisfactory level now.The spraying performances of UAVs still need further improvement.Wang Shilin Song Jianli He Xiongkui Song Le Wang Xiaonan Wang Changling Wang Zhichong Ling Yun 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4:25
5Chemical weathering and chemical runoffs in the seashore granite hills in South China显示文摘Surface runoffs and the contents of major ions and dissolved silicon were surveyed and analyzed based on weekly sampling for one year in a granite watershed of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. The results demonstrated that the slope runoff played an essential role in feeding the rivulet during precipitation, whereas the groundwater was more important for the rivulet in the non-raining stages. Dissolved silicon, Na+, HCO3-, and Clions constituted the major chemical components of the rivulet water. Atmospheric CO2 and H2SO4 sourced from the oxidation of pyrite were the main erosive mediums in the natural chemical weathering. Natural chemical weathering, the wet and dry deposition of sea-salt, and acids precipitation contributed approximately equal shares of anions to the rivulet water. The ratio of NO3- to SO42- was more than 1.0 in the runoff of the studied seashore watershed, whereas it is less than 1.0 in the Xijiang River that is adjacent to the study area. This implied that the chemical composition of runoff is controlled mainly by the differences in atmospheric acid precipitation caused by human activities and lithology within the catchments under the same bio-climate zone. 6Ni/Al_2O_3 catalysts for CO methanation: Effect of Al_2O_3 supports calcined at different temperatures显示文摘The correlation between phase structures and surface acidity of Al2O3 supports calcined at different temperatures and the catalytic performance of Ni/Al2O3 catalysts in the production of synthetic natural gas(SNG) via CO methanation was systematically investigated. A series of 10 wt% NiO/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by the conventional impregnation method, and the phase structures and surface acidity of Al2O3 supports were adjusted by calcining the commercial γ-Al2O3 at different temperatures(600–1200 C). CO methanation reaction was carried out in the temperature range of 300–600 C at different weight hourly space velocities(WHSV = 30000 and 120000 mL·g-1h-1) and pressures(0.1 and 3.0 MPa). It was found that high calcination temperature not only led to the growth in Ni particle size, but also weakened the interaction between Ni nanoparticles and Al2O3 supports due to the rapid decrease of the specific surface area and acidity of Al2O3 supports. Interestingly, Ni catalysts supported on Al2O3 calcined at 1200 C(Ni/Al2O3-1200) exhibited the best catalytic activity for CO methanation under different reaction conditions. Lifetime reaction tests also indicated that Ni/Al2O3-1200 was the most active and stable catalyst compared with the other three catalysts, whose supports were calcined at lower temperatures(600, 800 and 1000 C). 7Characterization of spray deposition and drift from a low drift nozzle for aerial application at different application altitudes显示文摘A complex interaction of controllable and uncontrollable factors is involved in aerial application of crop production and protection materials.Although it is difficult to completely characterize spray deposition and drift,these important factors can be estimated with appropriate sampling protocol and analysis.Application height is an important variable influencing off-target spray drift,but this variable has not been easily measured or logged.A custom-configured aircraft-mounted laser with logging capabilities makes this possible.This study was designed to investigate droplet size and deposition characteristics of a low drift CP flat-fan nozzle at application altitudes 3.7 m,4.9 m,and 6.1 m.In the study,CP flat-fan nozzles were set to a downward angle of 30 degrees applying a mixture of water,Syl-Tac®adjuvant,and Rubidium Chloride(RbCl)tracer at a 28.5 L/ha application rate.Spray droplets were collected using water sensitive paper(WSP)cards placed in the spray swath.Mylar sheets were also placed in the swath and downwind for drift sampling.Statistical analysis indicated that median droplet diameter as determined by WSP in the spray swath was not significantly influenced by spray application height.Similarly,statistical analysis also indicated that concentration of RbCl tracer from Mylar samplers in the spray swath was not significantly influenced by application height.Application height had a significant effect on spray deposition from drift samplers,along with wind direction and relative humidity.Final results for drift samplers may have been influenced by shifts in wind direction that altered the relationship between orientation of samplers and wind.Yanbo Huang Steven J.Thomson 2011International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2011,4,4:16
8Nitrogen deposition as an important nutrient from the environment and its impact on ecosystems in China显示文摘As an example of atmospheric nitrogen(N) deposition,the paper summarizes the definition,form and amount of nutrient from the environment(NFE) and the relationship between NFE and anthro-pogenic reactive N emission.Based on our own study and published articles,we find that N wet and dry deposition has been an important nutrient resource in agricultural and natural ecosystems in China.The total amount of N deposition and other environment-derived N in China was up to 18 Tg N/a,equal to ap-proximately 60% of the national N fertilizer consumption.Nitrogen deposition is expected to contribute substantially to nutrient cycling and net primary productivity in various ecosystems.Therefore,it is crucial to utilize this environment-derived nutrient resource by integrated nutrient resource management in order to realize the sustainable development of both agricultural and non-agricultural ecosystems.Liu, XueJun Song, Ling He, ChunE Zhang, FuSuo 2010Journal of Arid Land2010,2,2:15
9Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of Ti-B-N coatings deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Ternary Ti-B-N coatings were synthesized on AISI 304 and Si wafer by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique using a gaseous mixture of TiCl4,BCl3,H2,N2,and Ar.By virtue of X-ray diffraction analysis,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,scanning electron microscope,and high-resolution transmission electron microscope,the influences of B content on the microstructure and properties of Ti B N coatings were investigated systematically.The results indicated that the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-B-N coatings largely depend on the transformation from FCC-TiN phase to HCP-TiB2 phase.With increasing B content and decreasing N content in the coatings,the coating microstructure evolves gradually from FCC-TiN/a-BN to HCP-TiB2 /a-BN via FCC-TiN+HCP-TiB2/a-BN.The highest microhardness of about 34 GPa is achieved,which corresponds to the nanocomposite Ti-63%B-N (mole fraction) coating consisting of the HCP-TiB2 nano-crystallites and amorphous BN phase.The lowest friction-coefficient was observed for the nanocomposite Ti-41%B-N (mole fraction) coating consisting of the FCC-TiN nanocrystallites and amorphous BNJung Ho SHIN Kwang Soo CHOI Tie-gang WANG Kwang Ho KIM Roman NOWAK 2012中国有色金属学会会刊:英文版2012,22,S3:13
10Effect of aerial spray adjuvant applying on the efficiency of small unmanned aerial vehicle for wheat aphids control显示文摘Small unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been widely used in different aspects of modern farming management,including pest and disease control in China in recent years.In this study,the spray performance of a small plant protection UAV at low volume spray was evaluated by adjusting the pesticide dosage and adding aerial spraying adjuvants.Droplet deposition,droplet density,coverage,control effect and pesticide residue from field trials were assessed.In addition,the residue and control effect of UAV spray were compared to manual knapsack at high volume spray.The results showed that,the adjuvant applying improved the efficiency of UAV spray.Also,the adjuvant applying reduced the dosage of imidacloprid by 20%.However,there was no significant difference on initial residue between UAV spray and knapsack spray.Thus,plant protection UAV spraying pesticide by adding appropriate adjuvant showed the ability of improving the pesticide effectiveness by improving the control efficiency,reducing the pesticide dosage and residue.Yanhua Meng Yubin Lan Guiying Mei Yongwang Guo Jianli Song Zhiguo Wang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,5:13
113DPMD-Arc-based additive manufacturing with titanium powder as raw material显示文摘The study aims to demonstrate the suitability of the 3DPMD for the production of titanium components with and without reinforcing particles in layer-by-layer design. Various demonstrators are prepared and analyzed. The microstructure, the porosity and the hardness values of the different structures are compared with each other through metallographic cross-sections. The uniform distribution of the carbides and the interaction with the matrix was analyzed by SEM and EDX.The miller-test method(ASTM G75-07) was used to determine data for the relative abrasivity of the structures. In summary, 3DPMD offers the possibility to produce titanium structures with and without reinforced particles. Using automated routines, it is possible to generate metal structures using welding robots directly from the CAD drawings. 12A survey on numerical simulations of drag and heat reduction mechanism in supersonic/hypersonic flows显示文摘Along with the survey on experimental investigations drawing attention to the drag and heat reduction mechanism, the authors simultaneously focus on the recent advances of numerical simulations on the schemes applied to supersonic/hypersonic vehicles. The CFD study has evolved as an irreplaceable method in scheme evaluation and aircraft optimization. Similar to our previous experimental survey, the advances in drag and heat reduction schemes are reviewed by similar kinds of mechanism in this article, namely the forward-facing cavity, the opposing jet, the aerospike, the energy deposition and their combinational configurations. This review article puts an emphatic eye on the flow conditions, numerical methods, novel schemes and analytical conclusions given in the simulations. 13Performance characterization of Ni60-WC coating on steel processed with supersonic laser deposition显示文摘Ni60-WC particles are used to improve the wear resistance of hard-facing steel due to their high hardness. An emerging technology that combines laser with cold spraying to deposit the hard-facing coatings is known as supersonic laser deposition. In this study, Ni60-WC is deposited on low-carbon steel using SLD. The microstructure and performance of the coatings are investigated through SEM, optical microscopy, EDS, XRD, microhardness and pin-on-disc wear tests. 14Slice Data Based Support Generation Algorithm for Fused Deposition Modeling显示文摘This paper presents a robust algorithm to generate support for fused deposition modeling (FDM). Since many flaws appear in most stereo lithography (STL) models, this algorithm utilizes slice data as input. A top-down approach was used to calculate the support slice layer by layer. The generation algorithm was described in detail including the slice grouping, oriental bounding box (OBB) calculation, offsetting, and Boolean operations. Several cases are given to validate the efficiency and robustness of the procedure. The algorithm provides necessary support not only for hanging surface but also for hanging vertexes and edges with O(n) time complexity, where n is the number of layers. The algorithm fully utilizes the parts' self-support ability and reduces support volume to the maximum extent. 15Human activities aggravate nitrogen-deposition pollution to inland water over China显示文摘In the past three decades, China has built more than 87 000 dams with a storage capacity of ≈6560 km3 and the total surface area of inland water has increased by 6672 km2. Leaching of N from fertilized soils to rivers is the main source of N pollution in China, but the exposure of a growing inland water area to direct atmospheric N deposition and N leaching caused by N deposition on the terrestrial ecosystem, together with increased N deposition and decreased N flow, also tends to raise N concentrations in most inland waters. The contribution of this previously ignored source of N deposition to freshwaters is estimated in this study, as well as mitigation strategies. The results show that the annual amounts of N depositions ranged from 4.9 to 16.6 kg · ha-1· yr-1 in the 1990 s to exceeding 20 kg · ha-1· yr-1 in the 2010 s over most of regions in China, so the total mass of N(the net contribution of N deposition to the increase in N concentration) for lakes, rivers and reservoirs change from 122.26 Gg N · yr-1 in the 1990 s to 237.75 Gg N· yr-1 in the 2010 s. 16Nanofriction properties of molecular deposition films显示文摘The nanofriction properties of Au substrate and monolayer molecular deposition film and multilayer molecular deposition films on Au substrate and the molecular deposition films modified with alkyl-terminal molecule have been investigated by using an atomic force microscope. It is concluded that ( i ) the deposition of molecular deposition films on Au substrate and the modification of alkyl-terminal molecule to the molecular deposition films can reduce the frictional force; (ii) the molecular deposition films with the same terminal exhibit similar nanofriction properties, which has nothing to do with the molecular chain-length and the layer number; (iii) the unstable nanofriction properties of molecular deposition films are contributed to the active terminal of the molecular deposition film, which can be eliminated by decorating the active molecular deposition film with alkyl-terminal molecule, moreover, the decoration of alkyl-terminal molecule can lower the frictional force conspicuously; (iv) the王强斌 高芒来 张嗣伟 2000Science China Chemistry2000,43,2:10
17Drift and deposition of pesticide applied by UAV on pineapple plants under different meteorological conditions显示文摘Spray drift has always been a focus research area in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)application.Under the fixed premises of UAV operating parameters,such as height,speed and spraying liquid,the droplet drift is mainly affected by meteorological conditions.In this research,the spray drift and deposition tests were conducted using a QuanFeng120 UAV in a pineapple field under various different meteorological conditions.The experimental results showed that with the changes of UAV operating height and wind speed,the start position of the in-swath deposition area changed 4 m in the extreme situation.The percentage of the total spray drift was from 15.42%to 55.76%.The position of cumulative spray drift that accounted for 90%of the total spray drift was from 3.70 m to 46.50 m relative to the flight line.According to the downwind spray drift curve,the nonlinear equations of the same type under the four operating conditions of the UAV were fitted.The spray drift and the deposition of UAV application were significantly affected by different meteorological conditions and UAV operating heights.The results could provide a theoretical basis for UAV spraying in pineapple plants and support for spray drift control and prediction.Juan Wang Yubin Lan Huihui Zhang Yali Zhang Sheng Wen Weixiang Yao Jiajian Deng 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:10
18A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR RESERVOIR SEDIMENTATION AND FLUVIAL PROCESSES显示文摘This paper consists of two parts: mechanism of non-equilibrium transport of non-uniform sediment and its application in the mathematical model. Based on a statistic approach of sediment transport proposed by the authors, a 1 - D equation of non-e- quilibrium transport for various size group of sediment particles is developed. Then equations to predict change of sediment concentration and the corresponding changes in size distribution of suspended load and bed material are also derived. The conception that changes in size distribution are interrelated to sediment-carrying capacity is expounded. These results reveal the essence of sediment transport of non-uniform sediment particles. In the second part a mathematical model incorporating the mentioned equations to compute deposition and scouring in reservoirs as well as the fluvial processes of river channels has been developed. 19Effect of laser incident energy on microstructures and mechanical properties of 12CrNi2Y alloy steel by direct laser deposition显示文摘This work aims to establish the effect of laser energy area density(EAD) as the laser incident energy on density, microstructures and mechanical properties of direct laser deposition(DLD) 12CrNi2 Y alloy steel.The results show that the density of DLD 12CrNi2 Y alloy steel increases at initial stage and then decreases with an increase of EAD, the highest density of alloy steel sample is 98.95%. The microstructures of DLD12CrNi2 Y alloy steel samples are composed of bainite, ferrite and carbide. With increase of EAD, the microstructures transform from polygonal ferrite(PF) to granular bainite(GB). The martensite-austenite constituent(M-A) in GB transforms from flake-like paralleling to the bainite ferrite laths to granular morphology. It is also found that the average width of laths in finer GB can be refined from 532 nm to 302 nm, which improves the comprehensive properties of DLD 12 CrNi2 Y alloy steel such as high hardness of 342 ± 9 HV_(0.2), yield strength of 702 ± 16 MPa, tensile strength of 901 ± 14 MPa and large elongation of15.2%±0.6%. 20Construction of TiO2/silane nanofilm on AZ31 magnesium alloy for controlled degradability and enhanced biocompatibility显示文摘A TiO2 nanofilm was prepared on the surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy with controllable thickness through atomic layer deposition(ALD) technique, which can adjust the corrosion behaviors of AZ31 Mg alloy.Compared with the untreated Mg alloys, corrosion current densities(icorr)can decline by 58% in the 200-cycles TiO2-covered Mg alloy and further decline by up to 74% with the thickness of nanofilm up to 63 nm(400 cycles).The subsequent modification with a cross-linked conversion layer of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES) by a dipping method can produce a compact silane coating on TiO2 nanofilm, which can seal pinholes of TiO2 nanofilm and serve as a barrier to further adjust the corrosion behavior of the substrate.The icorrcan decline about two orders of magnitude in the TiO2/silane composite coating.Making the adjustable corrosion rate come true, which can be attributed to the precise control on the thickness of metal oxide nanofilm and additional protection from the compact silane coating.In vitro study discloses that the TiO2/silane hybrid coating shows higher expression of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and can promote cellular adhesion and proliferation with better cytocompatibility than untreated Mg alloy.Lei Huang Kun Su Yu-Feng Zheng Kelvin Wai-Kwok Yeung Xiang-Mei Liu 2019Rare Metals2019,38,6:9
