1Advances in Computer Vision-Based Civil Infrastructure Inspection and Monitoring显示文摘Computer vision techniques, in conjunction with acquisition through remote cameras and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), offer promising non-contact solutions to civil infrastructure condition assessment. The ultimate goal of such a system is to automatically and robustly convert the image or video data into actionable information. This paper provides an overview of recent advances in computer vision techniques as they apply to the problem of civil infrastructure condition assessment. In particular, relevant research in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and structural engineering is presented. The work reviewed is classified into two types: inspection applications and monitoring applications. The inspection applications reviewed include identifying context such as structural components, characterizing local and global visible damage, and detecting changes from a reference image. The monitoring applications discussed include static measurement of strain and displacement, as well as dynamic measurement of displacement for modal analysis. Subsequently, some of the key challenges that persist toward the goal of automated vision-based civil infrastructure and monitoring are presented. 2卫星遥感监测近地表细颗粒物多元回归方法研究显示文摘对地基监测PM2.5和气象数据、MODISAOD卫星数据与NCEP FNL数据进行了处理分析,在与一元简单线性模型(模型1)进行对比的基础上,建立了适应于北京及其附近地区遥感监测近地面颗粒物(PM2.5)浓度的多元线性(模型2)和非线性(模型3)回归模型,并对模型进行了评价验证和遥感监测初步应用.结果表明:模型1,2,3分别能够解释PM2.5 32.5%,56.1%,62.7%的变异.反演的PM2.5浓度与站点监测值相关性分别为0.5488(R2=0.3012),0.7449(R2=0.5549),0.7431(R2=0.5523).对于站点监测PM2.5浓度63.1652μg/m3的均值,反演均方根误差RMSE分别为43.5562,35.3321,36.8450μg/m3.模型2和3中气象因子分别能够解释PM2.5 23.6%和12.6%的变异,说明了气象因子影响北京地区春季PM2.5-AOD关系的显著性.3种模型整体上都不同程度地存在着低值高估和高值低估的现象.贾松林 苏林 陶金花 王子峰 陈良富 尚华哲 2014中国环境科学2014,34,3:21
3Label-free super-resolution imaging of adenoviruses by submerged microsphere optical nanoscopy显示文摘Because of the small sizes of most viruses(typically 5–150 nm),standard optical microscopes,which have an optical diffraction limit of 200 nm,are not generally suitable for their direct observation.Electron microscopes usually require specimens to be placed under vacuum conditions,thus making them unsuitable for imaging live biological specimens in liquid environments.Indirect optical imaging of viruses has been made possible by the use of fluorescence optical microscopy that relies on the stimulated emission of light from the fluorescing specimens when they are excited with light of a specific wavelength,a process known as labeling or self-fluorescent emissions from certain organic materials.In this paper,we describe direct white-light optical imaging of 75-nm adenoviruses by submerged microsphere optical nanoscopy(SMON)without the use of fluorescent labeling or staining.The mechanism involved in the imaging is presented.Theoretical calculations of the imaging planes and the magnification factors have been verified by experimental results,with good agreement between theory and experiment.Lin Li Wei Guo Yinzhou Yan Seoungjun Lee Tao Wang 2013Light(Science & Applications)2013,2,1:18
4中国气溶胶光学厚度时空演变特征分析显示文摘利用2005-2012年MODIS气溶胶产品分析了中国区域气溶胶光学厚度(aerosol optical depth,AOD)的变化趋势和空间分布特征。分析结果表明,与2005-2007三年均值相比,绝大部分省份2008-2010年期间AOD下降趋势非常明显,而在2011-2012年期间AOD又有所回升,但大部分地区2011-2012两年均值仍低于2005-2007三年均值,因此2005-2007年是我国气溶胶污染最严重的时期;从AOD的空间分布来看,气溶胶污染较重的地区主要集中在京津冀、长三角、华中、成渝等人口密集和工业发达地区;从典型城市AOD变化趋势来看,2005-2012年期间北京、石家庄、保定、邢台市AOD历年均值均明显高于全国平均值,京津冀城市群气溶胶污染异常严重。薛文博 武卫玲 王金南 杨金田 雷宇 汪艺梅 2013环境与可持续发展2013,38,4:17
5Optical biometry intraocular lens power calculation using different formulas in patients with different axial lengths显示文摘AIM: To investigate the predictability of intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation using the IOLMaster and different IOL power calculation formulas in eyes with various axial length (AL). METHODS: Patients were included who underwent uneventful phacoemulsification with IOL implantation in the Department of Ophthalmology, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan, China from February 2007 to January 2009. Preoperative AL and keratometric values (Ks) were measured by IOLMaster optical biometry. Patients were divided into 3 groups based on AL less than 22mm (Group 1), 22-26mm (Group 2), and more than 26mm (Group 3). The power of the implanted IOL was used to calculate the predicted postoperative spherical equivalence (SE) by various formulas: the Haigis, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1, and SRK/T. The predictive accuracy of each formula was analyzed by comparing the difference between the actual and predicted postoperative SE (MedAE, median absolute error). All the patients had follow-up periods exceeding 3 months. RESULTS: Totally, there were 200 eyes (33 eyes in Group 1, 92 eyes in Group 2, 75 eyes in Group 3). In all patients, the Haigis had the significantly lower MedAE generated by the other formulas (P<0.05). In Group 1 to 3, the MedAE calculated by the Haigis was either significantly lower or comparable to those calculated by the other formulas.CONCLUSION: Compared with other formulas using IOLMaster biometric data, the Haigis formula yields superior refractive results in eyes with various AL.Jia-Kang Wang Shu-Wen Chang 2013International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,2:16
6All-optical active THz metasurfaces for ultrafast polarization switching and dynamic beam splitting显示文摘Miniaturized ultrafast switchable optical components with an extremely compact size and a high-speed response will be the core of next-generation all-optical devices instead of traditional integrated circuits,which are approaching the bottleneck of Moore’s Law.Metasurfaces have emerged as fascinating subwavelength flat optical components and devices for light focusing and holography applications.However,these devices exhibit a severe limitation due to their natural passive response.Here we introduce an active hybrid metasurface integrated with patterned semiconductor inclusions for all-optical active control of terahertz waves.Ultrafast modulation of polarization states and the beam splitting ratio are experimentally demonstrated on a time scale of 667 ps.This scheme of hybrid metasurfaces could also be extended to the design of various free-space all-optical active devices,such as varifocal planar lenses,switchable vector beam generators,and components for holography in ultrafast imaging,display,and high-fidelity terahertz wireless communication systems.Longqing Cong Yogesh Kumar Srivastava Huifang Zhang Xueqian Zhang Jiaguang Han Ranjan Singh 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:15
7Aerosol optical depth retrieval by HJ-1/CCD supported by MODIS surface reflectance data显示文摘The high spatial resolution and temporal observation frequency of HJ-1/CCD make it suitable for aerosol monitoring.However,because of the lack of a shortwave infrared band,it is difficult to use HJ-1/CCD imagery to retrieve aerosol optical depth(AOD).We developed a new algorithm for HJ-1/CCD AOD retrieval by introducing MODIS surface reflectance outputs(MOD09) as support.In this algorithm HJ-1/CCD blue band surface reflectance was retrieved through MOD09 blue band surface reflectance by band matching of the two sensors.AOD at 550 nm was then generated through a pre-calculated look-up table for HJ-1/CCD.Eighteen HJ-1/CCD images covering the Jing-Jin-Tang(Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan) region were used to retrieve AOD using the new algorithm,and the AODs were then validated using AERONET ground measurements in Beijing and Xianghe.The validation shows that compared with AERONET ground measurements,27/29 AODs have error less than 0.1 in absolute value.SUN Lin1,2,SUN ChangKui1,LIU QinHuo2 & ZHONG Bo2 1Geomatics College,Shandong University of Science and Technology,Qingdao 266510,China 2State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100101,China 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,S1:14
8Microvascular changes after conbercept therapy in central retinal vein occlusion analyzed by optical coherence tomography angiography显示文摘AIM: To investigate microvascular changes in eyes with central retinal vein occlusion(CRVO) complicated by macular edema before and after intravitreal conbercept injection and evaluate correlations between these changes and best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA) and retinal thickness. METHODS: Twenty-eight eyes of 28 patients with macular edema caused by CRVO were included in this retrospective study. All patients received a single intravitreal conbercept injection to treat macular edema. BCVA and the results of optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA) automatic measurements of the vessel density in the superficial(SCP) and deep retinal capillary plexus(DCP), the foveal avascular zone(FAZ) area, the FAZ perimeter(PERIM), the vessel density within a 300-μm wide ring surrounding the FAZ(FD-300), the acircularity index(AI), the choriocapillaris flow area, and retinal thickness were recorded before and at one month after treatment and compared with the results observed in age-and sexmatched healthy subjects. RESULTS: The vessel density in the SCP and DCP, the FD-300, and the flow area of the choriocapillaris were allsignificantly lower in CRVO eyes than in healthy eyes, while the AI and retinal thickness were significantly higher(all P<0.05). After treatment, retinal thickness was significantly decreased, and the mean BCVA had markedly improved from 20/167 to 20/65(P=0.0092). The flow area of the choriocapillaris was also significantly improved, which may result from the reduction of shadowing effect caused by the attenuation of macular edema. However, there were no significant changes in SCP and DCP vessel density after treatment. 10Ultrasensitive skin‐like wearable optical sensors based on glass micro/nanofibers显示文摘Electronic skin,a class of wearable electronic sensors that mimic the functionalities of human skin,has made remarkable success in applications including health monitoring,human-machine interaction and electronic-biological interfaces.While electronic skin continues to achieve higher sensitivity and faster response,its ultimate performance is fundamentally limited by the nature of low-frequency AC currents.Herein,highly sensitive skin-like wearable optical sensors are demonstrated by embedding glass micro/nanofibers(MNFs)in thin layers of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS).Enabled by the transition from guided modes into radiation modes of the waveguiding MNFs upon external stimuli,the skin-like optical sensors show ultrahigh sensitivity(1870 k·Pa^-1),low detection limit(7 mPa)and fast response(10μs)for pressure sensing,significantly exceeding the performance metrics of state-of-the-art electronic skins.Electromagnetic interference(EMI)-free detection of high-frequency vibrations,wrist pulse and human voice are realized.Moreover,a five-sensor optical data glove and a 2×2-MNF tactile sensor are demonstrated.These initial results pave the way toward a new category of optical devices ranging from ultrasensitive wearable sensors to optical skins.Lei Zhang Jing Pan Zhang Zhang Hao Wu Ni Yao Dawei Cai Yingxin Xu Jin Zhang Guofei Sun Liqiang Wang Weidong Geng Wenguang Jin Wei Fang Dawei Di Limin Tong 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,3:12

12All-optical forward-viewing photoacoustic probe for high-resolution 3D endoscopy显示文摘A miniature forward-viewing endoscopic probe that provides high-resolution 3D photoacoustic images is demonstrated.The probe is of outer diameter 3.2mm and comprised of a transparent Fabry-Pérot(FP)polymer-film ultrasound sensor that is located at the distal end of a rigid optical fiber bundle.Excitation laser pulses are coupled simultaneously into all cores of the bundle and are transmitted through the FP sensor to provide wide-field tissue illumination at the distal end.The resulting photoacoustic waves are mapped in 2D by sequentially scanning the input end of the bundle with an interrogation laser beam in order to individually address different points on the FP sensor.In this way,the sensor acts as a high-density ultrasound array that is comprised of 50,000 individual elements,each of which is 12μm in diameter,within the 3.2mm diameter footprint of the probe.The fine spatial sampling that this affords,along with the wide bandwidth(f_(-3dB)=34 MHz)of the sensor,enables a high-resolution photoacoustic image to be reconstructed.The measured on-axis lateral resolution of the probe was depth-dependent and ranged from 45-170μm for depths between 1 and 7 mm,and the vertical resolution was 31μm over the same depth range.The system was evaluated by acquiring 3D images of absorbing phantoms and the microvascular anatomies of a duck embryo and mouse skin.Excellent image fidelity was demonstrated.It is anticipated that this type of probe could find application as a tool for guiding laparoscopic procedures,fetal surgery and other minimally invasive interventions that require a millimeter-scale forward-viewing 3D photoacoustic imaging probe.Rehman Ansari Edward Z.Zhang Adrien E.Desjardins Paul C.Beard 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:11
13Underwater wireless optical communication:why, what, and how? 14Single-shot BOTDA based on an optical chirp chain probe wave for distributed ultrafast measurement显示文摘Brillouin optical time-domain analysis(BOTDA)requires frequency mapping of the Brillouin spectrum to obtain environmental information(e.g.,temperature or strain)over the length of the sensing fiber,with the finite frequencysweeping time-limiting applications to only static or slowly varying strain or temperature environments.To solve this problem,we propose the use of an optical chirp chain probe wave to remove the requirement of frequency sweeping for the Brillouin spectrum,which enables distributed ultrafast strain measurement with a single pump pulse.The optical chirp chain is generated using a frequency-agile technique via a fast-frequency-changing microwave,which covers a larger frequency range around the Stokes frequency relative to the pump wave,so that a distributed Brillouin gain spectrum along the fiber is realized.Dynamic strain measurements for periodic mechanical vibration,mechanical shock,and a switch event are demonstrated at sampling rates of 25 kHz,2.5 MHz and 6.25 MHz,respectively.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first demonstration of distributed Brillouin strain sensing with a wide-dynamic range at a sampling rate of up to the MHz level.Dengwang Zhou Yongkang Dong Benzhang Wang Chao Pang Dexin Ba Hongying Zhang Zhiwei Lu Hui Li Xiaoyi Bao 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:11

16Research on crystal growth and properties of a new nonlinear optical crystal:Bismuth borate BiB_3O_6显示文摘BiB3O6 (BIBO) single crystals with sizes of 44 mm × 24 mm × 10 mm and weight of 24.7 g have been successfully grown by the top-seeded method. In this note, the preparation of seed, the growth of crystal and some problems encountered are reported. The lattice parameters of BIBO are a =7.1203(7)A, b = 4.9948(7)A, c = 6.5077(7)A, β= 105.586(8) ', V=222.93(5)A3, which were determined by BRUKER-P4 four-circle diffractometer. BIBO is biaxial crystal and the relative orientation of (X, Y, Z) with regard to (a, b, c) is: X|| b, (Y, c) =47.2°, (Z, a) = 31.6°, determined by the X-ray analysis combined with polarized microscopy. The second-harmonic-generation (SHG) conversion efficiency of the sample for 1.064 μm light is up to 67.7%. We have also obtained the third harmonic generation (THG) of 1.064 μm, namely, 1.064 μm + 0.532 μn →0.355 μm. 17High-Sensitivity Temperature Sensor Based on Polarization Maintaining Fiber Sagnac Loop显示文摘A high-sensitivity all-fiber temperature sensor based on a Sagnac interferometer is demonstrated by splicing a section of polarization maintaining fiber(PMF)between two sections of standard single mode fibers(SMFs).In this sensor,the SMF-PMF-SMF structure in the Sagnac loop is bent into a circle to enhance the sensitivity.The length and curvature of the PMF in the loop are investigated and can be optimized to further increase the temperature sensitivity of the sensor. 18Chalcogenide glass photonic integration for improved 2μm optical interconnection显示文摘In this work,on-chip chalcogenide glass photonic integrations with several fundamental photonic building blocks are designed and fabricated based on the As2 S3 platform for improved 2μm optical interconnection,achieving a broadened wavelength bandwidth and improved fabrication tolerance.A 600 nm thick As2 S3 strip waveguide has low propagation loss of 1.447 dB/cm at 2μm.Broadband vertical coupling is realized by a grating coupler with 4.3 dB coupling loss.A Bragg grating filter,power splitter,Mach–Zander interferometer,and mode converter for on-chip mode division multiplexing(MDM)are also reported at 2μm with reliable performances.Finally,a record high MDM optical interconnection capacity of 3×80 Gbps at 2μm is experimentally demonstrated based on the proposed As2 S3 chip,drawing promising prospects for future photonic integration and high-speed interconnection at the 2μm waveband.WEIHONG SHEN PINGYANG ZENG ZELIN YANG DI XIA JIANGBING DU BIN ZHANG KE XU ZUYUAN HE AND ZHAOHUI LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,9:10
19Measurement of retinal thickness in macular region of high myopic eyes using spectral domain OCT显示文摘AIM: To investigate the changes of retinal thickness in macula of high myopic eyes using spectral domain optical coherence tomography(OCT). ·METHODS: Middle-aged and young myopic patients were divided into three groups according to their refractive error/axial length: low and medium myopia group(LMMG),high myopia group(HMG) and super high myopia group(SHMG). Cirrus HD-OCT was used to evaluate total average macular thickness,central subfield thickness,inner/outer macular thickness and macular volume. The differences among experimental groups were analyzed by one-factor analysis of variance. Associations between macular thickness and refractive error/axial length were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. ·RESULTS: There was no significant difference in age among the three groups(P =0.2789). The mean refraction error in the LMMG,HMG,and SHMG groups was-2.49 ± 1.38D,-8.53 ±1.95D and-13.88 ±1.76D,respectively(P < 0.001). The central subfield thickness of three groups was 244.56 ±12.19μm,254.33 ±11.61μm and 261.75 ± 11.83μm,respectively,and there were statistically significance between random two groups. The total average macular thickness,inner/outer macular thickness,and macular volume decreased with increased myopia/axial length. Average foveal thickness had negative correlations with refractive error(P <0.001),and positive correlations with axial length. The inferior and temporal inner macular thickness,all the quadrants of outer ring,total average macular thickness and macular volume featured positive correlations with refractive error,and negative correlations with axial length. Average foveal thickness,superior and temporal innermacular thicknesses,and temporal outer macular thickness was lower in females compared to males. ·CONCLUSION: With an increase in myopia degree/axial length,the average foveal thickness increased and the inner/outer macular thickness decreased. 20EPON接入网的生存性显示文摘网络生存性是高速通信网络的重要性能评估指标。该文定量分析了EPON(ethernetpassiveopticalnetwork)接入网的网络生存性,得到网络生存性与破坏强度之间的定量关系,为EPON接入网生存性的预测和评估提供了理论依据。并分析和比较了EPON接入网的在3种备份方式下的生存性,从理论上证明EPON接入网在覆盖范围相同的情况下使用节点光纤备份比使用树干光纤备份具有更好的生存性。在节点个数和分布相同的情况下,使用总线光纤备份则不仅节省光纤而且网络生存性最好。该研究结果可为EPON接入网的设计提供参考。陈虹 苏厉 史国伟 金德鹏 曾烈光 2004清华大学学报(自然科学版)2004,44,7:10
