1Aberrant seed development in Litchi chinensis is associated with the impaired expression of cell wall invertase genes显示文摘Cell wall invertase(CWIN)are known to play important roles in seed development.However,most reports to date have focused on a single gene family member,and have mainly investigated CWIN functions during the filling stage of seed development.In this study,we found significant lower levels of CWIN protein and activity associated with seed abortion in the Litchi chinensis cultivar“Nuomici.”We identified five litchi CWIN genes and observed that the expression of LcCWIN5 was limited to the flower tissues and decreased sharply with fruit development.Silencing of LcCWIN5 expression before 28 DAA(cell division stage)resulted in perturbed liquid endosperm development,smaller seeds,and higher seed abortion rate,while silencing after 28 DAA(filling stage)had no effect on seed development.In contrast,LcCWIN2 was mostly expressed in the funicle and seed coat,and increased with fruit development.Decreased LcCWIN2 expression and CWIN activity during early seed filling coincided with smaller seeds in the cultivar“Feizixiao.”Silencing of LcCWIN2 caused a reduction in the seed size without inducing seed abortion.We propose that CWIN activity in seed maternal tissues during cell division stage is likely due to LcCWIN5 expression,which regulates early seed development.On the other hand,CWIN activity during the filling stage is due to the expression of LcCWIN2,which may promote carbon import by creating a sucrose gradient.Comparable LcCWIN5 expression,but much lower CWIN activity,detected in the funicle of“Nuomici”is consistent with post-translational regulation.Jieqiong Zhang Zichen Wu Fuchu Hu Lian Liu Xuming Huang Jietang Zhao Huicong Wang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:4

3RESEARCH ON ADAPTIVE DATA COMPRESSION METHOD FOR TRIANGULATED SURFACES显示文摘NC code or STL file can be generated directly from measuring data in a fast reverse-engineering mode.Compressing the massive data from laser scanner is the key of the new mode.An adaptive compression method based on triangulated-surfaces model is put forward.Normal-vector angles between triangles are computed to find prime vertices for removal.Ring data structure is adopted to save massive data effectively.It allows the efficient retrieval of all neighboring vertices and triangles of a given vertices.To avoid long and thin triangles,a new re-triangulation approach based on normalized minimum-vertex-distance is proposed,in which the vertex distance and interior angle of triangle are considered.Results indicate that the compression method has high efficiency and can get reliable precision.The method can be applied in fast reverse engineering to acquire an optimal subset of the original massive data.Wang Wen Wu Shixiong Chen Zichen Department of Mechanical Engineering,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310027, China 2004Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2004,17,2:2
4Discussions and Recommendations about Establishing Agro-ecological Compensation Mechanism in Jiangsu Province显示文摘Establishing agro-ecological compensation mechanism is the objective requirement for protecting agricultural ecological environment on the prerequisite of stabilizing and benefiting farmers,to realize protection in the process of development and promote development through protection.This study analyzed existing problems in the practice of establishing agro-ecological compensation mechanism in Jiangsu Province,including failure to form systematic compensation system due to limited technological reserve,failure to bring into play expected compensation effect due to scant attention,and failure to set up perfect input mechanism due to insufficient financing channel.In line with these problems,it came up with feasible policy recommendations,including strictly implementing top frame design for agro-ecological compensation and giving impetus to standardized and institutionalized work,building pilot demonstration area for agro-ecological compensation,setting up diversified agro-ecological compensation approaches,establishing long-term security mechanism for agro-ecological compensation,and strengthening propaganda and education of agro-ecological compensation.It is expected to provide reference for establishing agro-ecological compensation mechanism in Jiangsu Province,and also provide system guarantee for promoting ecological progress and agricultural modernization in Jiangsu Province.Hao WU Zichen WANG 2014Asian Agricultural Research2014,6,4:1
5Disease resistance conferred by components of essential chrysanthemum oil and the epigenetic regulation of OsTPS1显示文摘The sesquiterpene alpha-bisabolol is the predominant active ingredient in essential oils that are highly valued in the cosmetics industry due to its wound healing,anti-inflammatory,and skin-soothing properties.Alpha-bisabolol was thought to be restricted to Compositae plants.Here we reveal that alpha-bisabolol is also synthesized in rice,a non-Compositae plant,where it acts as a novel sesquiterpene phytoalexin.Overexpressing the gene responsible for the biosynthesis of alpha-bisabolol,Os TPS1,conferred bacterial blight resistance in rice.Phylogenomic analyses revealed that alpha-bisabolol-synthesizing enzymes in rice and Compositae evolved independently.Further experiments demonstrated that the natural variation in the disease resistance level was associated with differential transcription of Os TPS1 due to polymorphisms in its promoter.We demonstrated that Os TPS1 was regulated at the epigenetic level by JMJ705 through the methyl jasmonate pathway.These data reveal the cross-family accumulation and regulatory mechanisms of alpha-bisabolol production.Chuansong Zhan Long Lei Hao Guo Shen Zhou Congping Xu Zixin Liu Zichen Wu Yuan Deng Yuanyuan Miao Yu Han Meng Zhang Hua Li Sishu Huang Chenkun Yang Feng Zhang Yufei Li Ling Liu Xianqing Liu Hafiz Muhammad Khalid Abbas Alisdair R.Fernie Meng Yuan Jie Luo 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5:1

7Engineering Sodium Metal Anode with Sodiophilic Bismuthide Penetration for Dendrite-Free and High-Rate Sodium-Ion Battery显示文摘Sodium(Na)metal batteries with a high volumetric energy density that can be operated at high rates are highly desirable.However,an uneven Na-ion migration in bulk Na anodes leads to localized deposition/dissolution of sodium during high-rate plating/stripping behaviors,followed by severe dendrite growth and loose stacking.Herein,we engineer the Na hybrid anode with sodiophilic Na_(3)Bi-penetration to develop the abundant phase-boundary ionic transport channels.Compared to intrinsic Na,the reduced adsorption energy and ion-diffusion barrier on Na_(3)Bi ensure even Na^(+)nucleation and rapid Na^(+)migration within the hybrid electrode,leading to uniform deposition and dissolution at high current densities.Furthermore,the bismuthide enables compact Na deposition within the sodiophilic framework during cycling,thus favoring a high volumetric capacity.Consequently,the obtained anode was endowed with a high current density(up to 5 mA∙cm^(−2)),high areal capacity(up to 5 mA∙h∙cm^(−2)),and long-term cycling stability(up to 2800 h at 2 mA∙cm^(−2)).Wanyu Zhao Min Guo Zhijun Zuo Xiaoli Zhao Huanglin Dou Yijie Zhang Shiying Li Zichen Wu Yayun Shi Zifeng Ma Xiaowei Yang 2022Engineering2022,8,4:0
8Near-infrared fluorophores with absolute aggregation-caused quenching and negligible fluorescence re-illumination for in vivo bioimaging of nanocarriers显示文摘Environment-responsive fluorophores with aggregation-caused quenching(ACQ)properties have been applied to track nanocarriers with reduced artefacts caused by unbound or free fluorophores but suffer from incomplete fluorescence quenching and significant re-illumination,which undermine bioimaging accuracy.Herein,through structural modifications to reinforce the hydrophobicity,planarity and rigidity of fluorophores with an aza-BODIPY framework,probes featuring absolute ACQ(aACQ)and negligible re-illumination are developed and evaluated in various nanocarriers.aACQ probes,FD-B21 and FD-C7,exhibit near-infrared emission,high quantum yield,photostability,water sensitivity,and negligible re-illumination in blood,plasma and 1%Tween-80 in contrast to ACQ probe P2 and conventional probe DiR.All nanocarriers can be labeled efficiently by the tested fluorophores.Polymeric micelles(PMs)labeled by different aACQ probes manifest similar biodistribution patterns,which however differ from that of DiR-labeled PMs and could be ascribed to the appreciable re-illumination of DiR.Significantly lower re-illumination is also found in aACQ probes(2%-3%)than DiR(20%-40%)in Caco-2,Hela,and Raw264.7 cells.Molecular dynamics simulations unravel the molecular mechanisms behind aggregation and re-illumination,supporting the hypothesis of planarity dependency.It is concluded that aACQ fluorophores demonstrate excellent water sensitivity and negligible fluorescence re-illumination,making themselves useful tools for more accurate bioimaging of nanocarriers.Yifan Cai Xin Ji Yunsen Zhang Chang Liu Zichen Zhang Yongjiu Lv Xiaochun Dong Haisheng He Jianping Qi Yi Lu Defang Ouyang Weili Zhao Wei Wu 2023Aggregate2023,4,2:0
9Hyperbranched magnetic polymer:highly efficient removal of Cr(Ⅵ)and application in electroplating wastewater显示文摘By using a two-step hydrothermal method and trithiocyanuric acid(TTCA),2,4,6-trihydrazino-1,3,5-triazine(THT),and Fe_(3)O_(4)as raw materials,a spherical magnetic adsorbent polymer(TTCA/THT@Fe_(3)O_(4))was synthesized to achieve the efficient removal of Cr(VI)from wastewater.Under optimal adsorption conditions,the maximum adsorption capacity of TTCA/THT@Fe_(3)O_(4)for Cr(VI)can reach 1340 mg∙g‒1.Notably,the removal efficiency can approach 98.9%,even at the lower concentration of 20 mg∙L^(‒1)Cr(VI).For actual wastewater containing Cr(VI),the Cr(VI)concentration was reduced from 25.8 to 0.4 mg∙L^(‒1),a remarkable 20%lower than the current industry discharge standard value.A mechanism for the high adsorption performance of Cr(VI)on TTCA/THT@Fe_(3)O_(4)was investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and density functional theory.It can be plausibly attributed to the formation of Cr/N and Cr/S coordination bonds.Additionally,surface electrostatic adsorption,reduction effects,and the spherical polymer structure increase the contact area with Cr(VI),maximizing adsorption.The synergistic effect of adsorption and reduction enhances the adsorption performance of TTCA/THT@Fe_(3)O_(4)for Cr(VI)and total chromium in water.The resultant polymer has a simple preparation process,excellent adsorption performance,easy magnetic separation,and promising application for actual wastewater.Nan Sun Qing Wu Lifang Jin Zichen Zhu Jianhui Sun Shuying Dong Haijiao Xie Chunyan Zhang Yanrui Cui 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,10:0

13A novel electron-phonon coupling thermoelasticity with Burgers electronic heat transfer显示文摘The electron-phonon interaction can reveal the microscopic mechanism of heat transfer in metals.The two-step heat conduction considering electron-phonon interaction has become an effective theoretical model for extreme environments,such as micro-scale and ultrafast processes.In this work,the two-step heat transfer model is further extended by considering the Burgers heat conduction model with the secondorder heat flux rate for electrons.Then,a novel generalized electron-phonon coupling thermoelasticity is proposed with the Burgers electronic heat transfer.Then,the problem of one-dimensional semi-infinite copper strip subject to a thermal shock at one side is studied by the Burgers two-step(BTS)model.The thermoelastic analytical solutions are systematically derived in the Laplace domain,and the numerical Laplace inversion method is adopted to obtain the transient responses.The new model is compared with the parabolic two-step(PTS)model and the hyperbolic two-step(HTS)model.The results show that in ultrafast heating,the BTS model has the same wave front jump as the HTS model.The present model has the faster wave speed,and predicts the bigger disturbed regions than the HTS model.More deeply,all two-step models also have the faster wave speeds than one-step models.This work may benefit the theoretical modeling of ultrafast heating of metals.Hua WU Xinyi LI Yajun YU Zichen DENG 2023Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2023,44,11:0
