| 4 | Conditional moment closure modeling of a lifted turbulent flame显示文摘Results obtained using conditional moment closure (CMC) approach to modeling a lifted turbulent hy-drogen flame are presented. Predictions are based on k-ε-g turbulent closure, a 23-step chemical mechanism and a ra-dially averaged CMC model. The objectives are to find out how radially averaged CMC can represent a lifted flame and which mechanism of flame stabilization can be described by this modeling method. As a first stage of the study of multi-dimensional CMC for large eddy simulation (LES) of the lifted turbulent flames, the effect of turbulence upon combustion is included, the high-order compact finite- difference scheme (Padé) is used and previously developed characteristic-wave-based boundary conditions for multi- component perfect gas mixtures are here extended to their conditional forms but the heat release due to combustion is not part of the turbulent calculations. Attention is focused to the lift-off region of the flame which is commonly considered as a cold flow. Comparison with published experimental data and the computational results shows that the lift-off height can be accurately determined, and Favre averaged radial profiles of temperature and species mole fractions are also reasonably well predicted. | 6 | Calcium Forms, Subcelluar Distribution and Ultrastructure of Pulp Cells as Influenced by Calcium Deficiency in Apple (Malus pumila) Fruits显示文摘Calcium in Red Fuji and Starkrimson apples during storage were fractionated by sequentextracting. Localization and distribution of calcium and influence of calcium nutritionon cell ultrastructure were observed by transmission electron microscopy combined within situ precipitation of calcium with an improved method of potassium pyroantimonatetechnique. Results indicated that spraying calcium solution on surface of young fruitsincreased contents of calcium in all forms. During storage, contents of soluble calciumand pectic calcium declined and those in calcium phosphate, calcium oxalate and calciumsilicate increased. Calcium contents of Red Fuji in all forms were higher than those ofStarkrimson, indicating that calcium accumulating capability of Red Fuji fruits precededthat of Starkrimson. Under transmission electron microscopy, calcium antimonite precipitates(CaAP) was mainly distributed in cell wall, tonoplast, nuclear membrane and nucleoplasm,much more CaAP deposited in vacuole. Calcium deficiency during storage leads to decreaseof CaAP in locations mentioned above, disappearance of compartmentation, and entrance ofCaAP to cytoplasm. For carrier-free Na235SO4 treatment, 78%, 70% and 64% of 35S applied were found in Ca (H2PO4)2-extractble S fraction 14%, 5% and 7% in slowly soluble inorganic S, 11%, 15% and 18% in C-O-S, 5%, 7% and 6% in C-bonded S, and 5%,7% and 6% in unidentified organic S 120 days after incubation in black soil, cinnamon soil and chestnut soil, respectively. Most of 35S uptake by plants came from extractable 35S42-, and little from C-O-35S and C-bonded 355. In the treatment with 35S-labeled straw, 51%, 46% and 36% of 355 incorporated were found in C a (H2PO4)2 -extractable S fraction) 7%, 6% and 7% in slowly solub ie inorganic S, 13%, 15% and 18% in C-O-S, 8%, 8% and 6% in C-bonded S, and 18%, 25% and 35% in unidentified organic S at the end of incubation in above-mentioned three soils, respectively. | 11 | Structural mass prediction in conceptual design of blended-wing-body aircraft显示文摘The Blended-Wing-Body(BWB) is an unconventional configuration of aircraft and considered as a potential configuration for future commercial aircraft. One of the difficulties in conceptual design of a BWB aircraft is structural mass prediction due to its unique structural feature. This paper presents a structural mass prediction method for conceptual design of BWB aircraft using a structure analysis and optimization method combined with empirical calibrations. The total BWB structural mass is divided into the ideal load-carrying structural mass, non-ideal mass, and secondary structural mass. Structural finite element analysis and optimization are used to predict the ideal primary structural mass, while the non-ideal mass and secondary structural mass are estimated by empirical methods. A BWB commercial aircraft is used to demonstrate the procedure of the BWB structural mass prediction method. The predicted mass of structural components of the BWB aircraft is presented, and the ratios of the structural component mass to the Maximum TakeOff Mass(MTOM) are discussed. A decentralizedmodel predictive control framework is formulated to predict the optimal velocity profile that compromises fuel economy andmobility while guaranteeing the safety of each vehicle. In the model predictive control framework, an engine-map-based fuelconsumption model is established by implementing a backward conventional vehicle model in the cost function. Moreover,the cost function is normalized by dividing each term by its reference value. An extra cost is added to the safety term when thedistance between adjacent vehicles drops to a critical value to guarantee vehicle safety, while another extra cost is consideredfor the velocity tracking term to prevent the violation of traffic rules.
