1Development of highly glyphosate-tolerant tobacco by coexpression of glyphosate acetyltransferase gat and EPSPS G2-aroA genes显示文摘The widely used herbicide glyphosate targets 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase(EPSPS).Glyphosate acetyltransferase(GAT)effectively detoxifies glyphosate by N-acetylation.With the aim of identifying a new strategy for development of glyphosate-tolerant crops,the plant expression vector pG2-GAT harboring gat and G2-aroA(encoding EPSPS)has been transformed into tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum)to develop novel plants with higher tolerance to glyphosate.Results from Southern and Western blotting analyses indicated that the target genes were integrated into tobacco chromosomes and expressed effectively at the protein level.Glyphosate tolerance was compared among transgenic tobacco plants containing gat,G2-aroA,or both genes.Plants containing both gat and G2-aroA genes were the most glyphosate-tolerant.This study has shown that a combination of different strategies may result in higher tolerance in transgenic crops,providing a new approach for development of glyphosate-tolerant crops.Baoqing Dun Xujing Wang Wei Lu Ming Chen Wei Zhang Shuzhen Ping Zhixing Wang Baoming Zhang Min Lin 2014The Crop Journal2014,2,Z1:4
2Transarterial infusion chemotherapy with FOLFOX for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma:a multi-center propensity score matched analysis of real-world practice显示文摘Background:To compare the treatment effectiveness and safety among transarterial infusion chemotherapy(TAI)with FOLFOX regimen,transarterial chemoembolization(TACE),and sorafenib in patients with BCLC stage C hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:The data of consecutive patients with BCLC stage C HCC treated with TAI,TACE,or sorafenib from January 2015 to December 2018 at three centers were retrospectively analyzed.Propensity-score matched(PSM)analysis was pairwise performed to reduce selection bias.Treatment effectiveness and safety were evaluated and compared using the Kaplan-Meier method,log-rank test,Cox regression models,andχ2 test.Results:The median overall survival(OS)in the matched TAI cohort was significantly longer than the sorafenib cohort(19.6 vs.7.5 months,P=0.009),and the TACE cohort(estimated 27.8 vs.6.6 months,P<0.001).The difference in median progression-free survival(PFS)between the matched TAI and sorafenib cohorts was not significant(5.8 vs.2.3 months,P=0.219).The median PFS in the matched TAI cohort was significantly longer than the TACE cohort(6.5 vs.2.8 months,P<0.001).The objective response rate(ORR)in the matched TAI cohort was significantly higher than the sorafenib cohort(36.4%vs.0.0%,P<0.001)and the TACE cohort(48.7%vs.4.7%,P<0.001).The incidences of adverse events(AEs)were similar among these three cohorts.Conclusions:TAI with FOLFOX regimen was an effective and safe therapy that improved survival of patients with BCLC stage C HCC.Shaohua Li Jie Mei Qiaoxuan Wang Feng Shi Hongyan Liu Ming Zhao Lianghe Lu Yihong Ling Zhixing Guo Yabing Guo Xiaoming Chen Ming Shi Wan Yee Lau Wei Wei Rongping Guo 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,5:2
3Highly crystalline ReSe2 atomic layers synthesized by chemical vapor transport显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) anisotropic rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) has attracted lots ofattention due to its promising applications in electronics and optoelectronics. However,controlled synthesis of high quality ultrathin ReSe2 remains as a challenge.Here we developed an approach for synthesizing high quality 2D ReSe2 flakes witha thickness down to monolayer by chemical vapor transport (CVT) through carefullytuning the growth kinetics. The atomic structures and anisotropy of theobtained ReSe2 flakes were intensively characterized with scanning transmissionelectron microscope and angle-resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy. Fieldeffecttransistors fabricated on the CVT-grown ReSe2 flakes showed n-typesemiconducting behavior with an on/off current ratio of 105 and a mobility up to5 cm2 V−1 s−1, which is comparable to mechanically exfoliated flakes and isobvious higher than the samples synthesized with other approaches. 4The Homogeneity of Distributional Patterns of the Global Terrestrial Animal,Plant and Microorganism under the Influence of Ecological Conditions显示文摘The world animal geographical regionalization scheme and the plant geographical regionalization scheme have been formulated by zoologists and botanists respectively since the biogeography has been established.This research team initially confirmed the homogeneity of Chinese animal and plant geography.To explore the relationship between the distribution pattern of global animals,plants,and microorganisms,global 141,814 genera of terrestrial animals,17,526 genera of plants,21,321 genera of microorganisms,and their major taxa were analyzed using their proposed SGF(Similarity General Formula)and a new multivariate similarity clustering analysis method.Almost identical analytical results were obtained,meeting the requirements of statistics,geography,ecology and biology respectively.The expected consistency of their distribution pattern was achieved for the first time.We prove that the earth’s ecological conditions affect the homogeneity and accumulation of the distribution of animals,plants and microorganisms.Homogeneity determines the distribution pattern of global kinds of biological consistency,accumulation determines the impact of the evolutionary period on the breadth of distribution,microorganisms appear earliest,plants second,animals later,and their average distribution domain decreases in turn,reflecting these differences.Therefore,this study not only provides a theoretical basis and quantitative basis for the establishment of geographical regionalization scheme but also advances the development of biogeography to a new stage and raises the theory of biogeographic analysis to a new height.Shen Qi Lu Jiqi You Zhixing Ren Yingdang Shen Xiaocheng 2022Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering(A)2022,11,4:1

11EFFECT OF SURFACE ENERGY ON DISLOCATION-INDUCED FIELD IN HALF-SPACE WITH APPLICATION TO THIN FILM-SUBSTRATE SYSTEMS显示文摘In this work the elastic field of an edge dislocation in a half-space with the effect of surface energy has been obtained.The elastic field is then used to study the image force on the dislocation,the critical thickness for dislocation generation in epitaxial thin films with strain mismatch and the yielding strength of thin films on substrates.The results show that the image forces on the dislocation deviate from the conventional solutions when the distance of the dislocation from the free surface is smaller than several times of the characteristic length.Also due to the effect of surface energy,the critical thickness for dislocation generation is smaller than that predicted by the conventional elastic solutions and the extent of the deviation depends on the magnitude of mismatch strain.In contrast,the effect of surface energy on the yielding strength for many practical thin films can be neglected except for some soft ones where the characteristic length is comparable to the thickness.Ganyun Huang Bob Svendsen Zhixing Lu 2009Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2009,22,5:1

13Neddylation is a novel therapeutic target for lupus by regulating double negative T cell homeostasis显示文摘Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),a severe autoimmune disorder,is characterized by systemic inflammatory response,autoantibody accumulation and damage to organs.The dysregulation of double-negative(DN)T cells is considered as a crucial commander during SLE.Neddylation,a significant type of protein post-translational modification(PTM),has been well-proved to regulate T cell-mediated immune response.However,the function of neddylation in SLE is still unknown.Here,we reported that neddylation inactivation with MLN4924,a specific inhibitor of NEDD8-activating enzyme E1(NAE1),or genetic abrogation of Ube2m in T cells decreased DN T cell accumulation and attenuated murine lupus development.Further investigations revealed that inactivation of neddylation blocked Bim ubiquitination degradation and maintained Bim level in DN T cells,contributing to the apoptosis of the accumulated DN T cells in lupus mice.Then double knockout(KO)lupus-prone mice(Ube2m-/-Bim-/-lpr)were generated and results showed that loss of Bim reduced Ube2m deficiency-induced apoptosis in DN T cells and reversed the alleviated lupus progression.Our findings identified that neddylation inactivation promoted Bim-mediated DN T cell apoptosis and attenuated lupus progression.Clinically,we also found that in SLE patients,the proportion of DN T cells was raised and their apoptosis was reduced.Moreover,compared to healthy groups,SLE patients exhibited decreased Bim levels and elevated Cullin1 neddylation levels.Meantime,the inhibition of neddylation induced Bim-dependent apoptosis of DN T cells isolated from SLE patients.Altogether,our findings provide the direct evidence about the function of neddylation during lupus,suggesting a promising therapeutic approach for this disease.Yun Zhang Lijun Du Chenxi Wang Zhangsheng Jiang Qingchi Duan Yiping Li Zhijun Xie Zhixing He Yi Sun Lin Huang Liwei Lu Chengping Wen 2024Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,2:0

16Atmospheric Degradation and Performance Recovery of Two-Dimensional MoS2 Field Effect Transistor显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)showed great potentials in 2D nanoelectronic devices due to their abundant and unique properties.The performance stability of the 2D TMDCs devices turns into one of the keys for their practical applications but has been rarely explored.Here,we investigated stability of MoS_(2)devices in ambient condition and contributed the device performance degradation to the surface oxidation of the contact metals with low work function,which increased the contact barrier and hindered the electron injection.We developed a new approach to recover the performance of the aged devices through the selective doping of contacts with organolithium,which prolonged the lifetime of MoS_(2)devices.Our work not only provides important insights into the stability of 2D TMDCs devices,but also opens up a new avenue for optimizing the performance of 2D MoS_(2)devices.Lifei Sun Zhixing Lu Rui Xu Zhewei Li Guanchen Xu Fengen Chen Zhihai Cheng Liying Jiao 2023Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,21:0
