| 1 | Conditioned medium-electrospun fiber biomaterials for skin regeneration显示文摘Conditioned medium(CM)contains variety of factors secreted by cells,which directly regulate cellular processes,showing tremendous potential in regenerative medicine.Here,for the first time,we proposed a novel regenerative therapy mediated by biodegradable micro-nano electrospun fibers loaded with highly active conditioned medium of adipose-derived stem cells(ADSC-CM).ADSC-CM was successfully loaded into the nanofibers with biological protection and controllable sustained-release properties by emulsion electrospinning and protein freeze-drying technologies.In vitro,ADSC-CM released by the fibers accelerated the migration rate of fibroblasts;inhibited the over proliferation of fibroblasts by inducing apoptosis and damaging cell membrane;in addition,ADSC-CM inhibited the transformation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts and suppressed excessive production of extracellular matrix(ECM).In vivo,the application of CM-biomaterials significantly accelerated wound closure and improved regeneration outcome,showing superior pro-regenerative performance.This study pioneered the application of CM-biomaterials in regenerative medicine,and confirmed the practicability and significant biological effects of this innovative biomaterials. | Lu Chen Liying Cheng Zhen Wang Jianming Zhang Xiyuan Mao Zhimo Liu Yuguang Zhang Wenguo Cui Xiaoming Sun | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,2: | 2 |

| 3 | Direct synthesis of tin spheres/nitrogen-doped porous carbon composite by self-formed template method for enhanced lithium storage显示文摘To inhibit the agglomeration of tin-based nanomaterials and simplify the complicated synthesis process,a facile and eco-friendly self-formed template method is reported to synthesize tin submicron spheres dispersed in nitrogen-doped porous carbon(Sn/NPC)by pyrolysis of a mixture of disodium stannous citrate and urea.The vital point of this strategy is the formation of Na_(2)CO_(3)templates during pyrolysis.This self-formed Na_(2)CO_(3)acts as porous templates to support the formation of NPC.The obtained NPC provides good electronic conductivity,ample defects,and more active sites.Serving as anode for Li-ion batteries,the Sn/NPC electrode obtains a stable discharge capacity of 674.1 mAh/g after 150 cycles at 0.1 A/g.Especially,a high discharge capacity of 331.2 mAh/g can be achieved after 1100 cycles at 3 A/g.Additionally,a full cell coupled with LiCoO_(2)as cathode yields a discharge capacity of 524.8 mAh/g after 150 cycles at 0.1 A/g.In-situ XRD is implemented to investigate the alloying/dealloying reaction mechanisms.Density functional theory calculation ulteriorly explicates that NPC heightens intrinsic electronic conductivity,and NPC especially pyrrolic-N and pyridinic-N doping facilitates the Li-adsorption ability.Climbing image nudged elastic band method reveals low Li~+diffusion energy barrier in presence of N atoms,which accounts for the terrific electrochemical properties of Sn/NPC electrode. | Kun Liu Jia-ao Wang Hongfei Zheng Xiaodong Sun Zhimo Yang Jianzong Man Xinyu Wang Juncai Sun | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9: | 1 |

| 7 | 40 Hz light flickering promotes sleep through cortical adenosine signaling显示文摘Flickering light stimulation has emerged as a promising non-invasive neuromodulation strategy to alleviate neuropsychiatric disorders.However,the lack of a neurochemical underpinning has hampered its therapeutic development.Here,we demonstrate that light flickering triggered an immediate and sustained increase(up to 3 h after flickering)in extracellular adenosine levels in the primary visual cortex(V1)and other brain regions,as a function of light frequency and intensity,with maximal effects observed at 40 Hz frequency and 4000 lux.We uncovered cortical(glutamatergic and GABAergic)neurons,rather than astrocytes,as the cellular source,the intracellular adenosine generation from AMPK-associated energy metabolism pathways(but not SAM-transmethylation or salvage purine pathways),and adenosine efflux mediated by equilibrative nucleoside transporter-2(ENT2)as the molecular pathway responsible for extracellular adenosine generation.Importantly,40 Hz(but not 20 and 80 Hz)light flickering for 30 min enhanced non-rapid eye movement(non-REM)and REM sleep for 2–3 h in mice.This somnogenic effect was abolished by ablation of V1(but not superior colliculus)neurons and by genetic deletion of the gene encoding ENT2(but not ENT1),but recaptured by chemogenetic inhibition of V1 neurons and by focal infusion of adenosine into V1 in a dose-dependent manner.Lastly,40 Hz light flickering for 30 min also promoted sleep in children with insomnia by decreasing sleep onset latency,increasing total sleep time,and reducing waking after sleep onset.Collectively,our findings establish the ENT2-mediated adenosine signaling in V1 as the neurochemical basis for 40 Hz flickering-induced sleep and unravel a novel and non-invasive treatment for insomnia,a condition that affects 20%of the world population. | Xuzhao Zhou Yan He Tao Xu Zhaofa Wu Wei Guo Xi Xu Yuntao Liu Yi Zhang Huiping Shang Libin Huang Zhimo Yao Zewen Li Lingya Su Zhihui Li Tao Feng Shaomin Zhang Olivia Monteiro Rodrigo A.Cunha Zhi-Li Huang Kang Zhang Yulong Li Xiahong Cai Jia Qu Jiang-Fan Chen | 2024 | Cell Research2024,34,3: | 0 |

| 9 | Regulated extravascular microenvironment via reversible thermosensitive hydrogel for inhibiting calcium influx and vasospasm显示文摘Arterial vasospasm after microsurgery can cause severe obstruction of blood flow manifested as low tissue temperature,leading to tissue necrosis.The timely discovery and synchronized treatment become pivotal.In this study,a reversible,intelligent,responsive thermosensitive hydrogel system is constructed employing both the gel–sol transition and the sol–gel transition.The“reversible thermosensitive(RTS)”hydrogel loaded with verapamil hydrochloride is designed to dynamically and continuously regulate the extravascular microenvi-ronment by inhibiting extracellular calcium influx.After accurate implantation and following in situ gelation,the RTS hydrogel reverses to the sol state causing massive drug release to inhibit vasospasm when the tissue tem-perature drops to the predetermined transition temperature.Subsequent restoration of the blood supply allevi-ates further tissue injury.Before the temperature drops,the RTS hydrogel maintains the gel state as a sustained-release reservoir to prevent vasospasm.The inhibition of calcium influx and vasospasm in vitro and in vivo is demonstrated using vascular smooth muscle cells,mice mesenteric arterial rings,and vascular ultrasonic Doppler detection.Subsequent animal experiments demonstrate that RTS hydrogel can promote tissue survival and alleviate tissue injury responding to temperature change.Therefore,this RTS hydrogel holds therapeutic po-tential for diseases requiring timely detection of temperature change. | Binfan Zhao Yaping Zhuang Zhimo Liu Jiayi Mao Shutong Qian Qiuyu Zhao Bolun Lu Xiyuan Mao Liucheng Zhang Yuguang Zhang Wenguo Cui Xiaoming Sun | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,3: | 0 |
