| 1 | Study on patterns and chemical features of NO effect on marine phytoplankton growth显示文摘This article discusses the patterns of NO effect on marine phytoplankton growth from chemical perspective.The experimental results of four algae,which are Platymonas hal-golandica var.tsingtaoensis,Platymonas subcordiformis,Skeletonema costatum and Nitzschia closterium farma minutissima,are as follows:(i) In f/2 medium or f/50 medium,the growth of these four algae was obviously promoted or inhibited when nitric oxide of different concentrations was added once or twice each day during the cultivation;(ii) The NO effects on the growth of marine phytoplankton are in normal distribution.Different phytoplankton has different optimum NO concentration,which is consistent with the influence of NO on the growth of high plants;(iii) The effect of NO on Platymonas halgolandica var.tsingtaoensi,which is a food alga,is different from that on the red tide algae Skeletonema costatum and Nitzschia closterium farma minutis-sima.The authors put forward a new opinion that every alga has its own NO threshold concen-tration.All the above results may provide new clues to understand the formation of red tide. | ZHANG Zhengbin LIN Cai LIU Chunying XING Lei WU Zhenzhen SUN Feng | 2005 | Science China Chemistry2005,48,4: | 9 |
| 2 | Discovery of nitric oxide in marine ecological system and the chemical characteristics of nitric oxide显示文摘Nitric oxide was discovered in both the lab and the alga culture pond of Daya Bay (1―300 m3) before the growth of alga reached the maximum. | 3 | Impact of serum levels of lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase, and endothelial lipase on the progression of coronary artery disease显示文摘Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between serum levels of lipoprotein lipase(LPL), hepatic lipase(HL), and endothelial lipase(EL) and the progression of coronary artery disease(CAD).Materials and methods: According to the inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, diagnostic criteria, angiography results, and the random matching scheme, the enrolled patients were divided into the following two groups: the progression-free group(n ? 47) and the progression group(n ? 15). The baseline characteristics and various biochemical parameters were obtained from the medical records and medical history. Serum LPL, HL, and EL levels were detected by ELISA. The correlation between serum LPL, HL, and EL levels and coronary lesions was statistically analyzed with SPSS software.Results: Significant differences were observed in serum levels of HL and EL between the progression-free group and the progression group(HL, 75.5 ? 39.2 ng/mL vs. 125.1 ? 42.1 ng/mL, P < 0.05;EL, 139.2 ? 59.6 pg/mL vs.175.1 ? 40.1 pg/mL, P < 0.05), while the difference in the LPL level was not significant(P > 0.05). Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC) values of LPL, HL, and EL were 0.506(95% CI: 0.369–0.642, P ? 0.9470), 0.792(95% CI: 0.664–0.888, P < 0.0001), and 0.693(95% CI:0.553–0.811, P ? 0.0095), respectively. Additionally, logistic regression analysis showed that the serum level of HL was an independent risk factor for coronary artery lesion progression.Conclusion: Serum levels of EL and HL, but not the serum level of LPL, were positively correlated with the progression of CAD. The serum level of HL was an independent risk factor for the progression of CAD, while the serum level of EL or LPL was not an independent risk factor for the progression of CAD. | 4 | On the localised corrosion of carbon steel induced by the in-situ local damage of porous corrosion products显示文摘The effect of in-situ local damage of uniform porous corrosion products on the localised corrosion of carbon steel is investigated using the wire beam electrode technique(WBE)combined with morphology characterisation and electrochemical tests.The WBE measurements demonstrate that the localised corrosion is enhanced by the in-situ local removal of porous corrosion products,supported by the morphology characterisation and electrochemical tests.The enhanced localised corrosion does not originate from the damaged wire in WBE where the corrosion products are removed but from the other undamaged wires,which is reported for the first time.A mechanism is proposed that the intensive anodic polarisation effect of the damaged wire on the undamaged wires could account for the enhanced localised corrosion,which is due to the protective corrosion products newly formed on the damaged surface and the increase in the potential of damaged wire. | Lin Pang Zhengbin Wang Yugui Zheng Xueming Lai Xu Han | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,19: | 4 |

| 7 | Successful kidney transplantation in highly sensitized patients显示文摘Highly sensitized patients experience an increased number of rejection episodes and have poorer graft survival rates;hence,sensitization is a significant barrier to both access to and the success of organ transplantation.This study reports our experience in kidney transplantation in highly sensitized patients.Fourteen patients with sensitization or high levels of panelreactive antibodies(PRA)were studied.All patients were desensitized with pre-transplant intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)/plasmapheresis(PP)with or without rituximab and thymoglobulin induction therapy,combined with a Prograf/MMF/Pred immunosuppressive regimen.Of 14 patients,10 showed good graft functions without acute rejection(AR)episodes.Acute cellular rejection in two patients was reversed by methylprednisolone.Two patients underwent antibody-mediated rejection;one was treated with PP/IVIG successfully,whereas the other lost graft functions due to the de novo production of donor-specific antibodies(DSA).Graft functions were stable,and there were no AR episodes in other patients.Conclusively,desensitization using PP/IVIG with or without rituximab increases the likelihood of successful live-donor kidney transplantation in sensitized recipients. | Weijie ZHANG Dong CHEN Zhishui CHEN Fanjun ZENG Changsheng MING Zhengbin LIN Ping ZHOU Gang CHEN Xiaoping CHEN | 2011 | Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,1: | 0 |
