| 1 | Mitochondrial sirtuins,metabolism,and aging显示文摘Maintaining metabolic homeostasis is essential for cellular and organismal health throughout life.Multiple signaling pathways that regulate metabolism also play critical roles in aging,such as PI3K/AKT,mTOR,AMPK,and sirtuins(SIRTs).Among them,sirtuins are known as a protein family with versatile functions,such as metabolic control,epigenetic modification and lifespan extension.Therefore,by understanding how sirtuins regulate metabolic processes,we can start to understand how they slow down or accelerate biological aging from the perspectives of metabolic regulation.Here,we review the biology of SIRT3,SIRT4,and SIRT5,known as the mitochondrial sirtuins due to their localization in the mitochondrial matrix.First,we will discuss canonical pathways that regulate metabolism more broadly and how these are integrated with aging regulation.Then,we will summarize the current knowledge about functional differences between SIRT3,SIRT4,and SIRT5 in metabolic control and integration in signaling networks.Finally,we will discuss how mitochondrial sirtuins regulate processes associated with aging and aging-related diseases. | Zhejun Ji Guang-Hui Liu Jing Qu | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,4: | 10 |
| 2 | A static technique for detecting input validation vulnerabilities in Android apps显示文摘Input validation vulnerabilities are common in Android apps, especially in inter-component communications. Malicious attacks can exploit this kind of vulnerability to bypass Android security mechanism and compromise the integrity, confidentiality and availability of Android devices. However, so far there is not a sound approach at the source code level for app developers aiming to detect input validation vulnerabilities in Android apps. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for detecting input validation flaws in Android apps and we implement a prototype named Easy IVD, which provides practical static analysis of Java source code.Easy IVD leverages backward program slicing to extract transaction and constraint slices from Java source code.Then Easy IVD validates these slices with predefined security rules to detect vulnerabilities in a known pattern.To detect vulnerabilities in an unknown pattern, Easy IVD extracts implicit security specifications as frequent patterns from the duplicated slices and verifies them. Then Easy IVD semi-automatically confirms the suspicious rule violations and reports the confirmed ones as vulnerabilities. We evaluate Easy IVD on four versions of original Android apps spanning from version 2.2 to 5.0. It detects 58 vulnerabilities including confused deputy attacks and denial of service attacks. | 3 | Pore structure of selected Chinese coals with heating and pressurization treatments显示文摘Pore structure of Chinese coals with heating and pressurization treatments was studied using small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),N2adsorption/desorption isotherms and scanning electron microscope(SEM).SAXS was performed for some samples after heat treatment at seven elevated temperatures from 25 to 250°C at 0 MPa and for other samples with hydrostatic pressure treatment at 0,5,10,15 and 20 MPa at the room temperature.The results show that N2adsorption isotherm together with SAXS could be a comprehensive method to evaluate the pore shape and the pore size distribution:the pore shapes are generally spherical for low rank coal and they are mainly ellipsoidal for high rank coal.All these measurements were then interpreted using the fractal theory to reveal relationship between surface fractals and coal rank,and the evolution of surface fractals under heating and pressurization treatments.The results show that surface fractal dimension(Ds)changes with different treating temperature and pressure and maximum vitrinite reflectance(Ro,m).Especially in the bituminous stage,Ds shows an increasing trend with Ro,m under varied temperatures.Moreover,Ds shows an increasing trend with increasing temperature before 200°C,and a decreasing trend after 200°C.Furthermore,the results show that Ds has a more complex relationship with Ro,m under varied treating temperature than that under varied treating pressure. | CAI YiDong LIU DaMeng PAN ZheJun YAO YanBin LI JunQian QIU YongKai | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,7: | 5 |

| 5 | Flexible polyimide-based hybrid optoelectric neural interface with 16 channels of micro-LEDs and electrodes显示文摘In this paper,a polyimide-based flexible device that integrates 16 micro-LEDs and 16 IrO_(x)-modified microelectrodes for synchronous photostimulation and neural signal recording is presented.The 4×4 micro-LEDs(dimensions of 220×270×50μm^(3),700μm pitch)are fixed in the SU-8 fence structure on a polyimide substrate and connected to the leads via a wire-bonding method.The recording electrodes share a similar fabrication process on the polyimide with 16 microelectrode sites(200μm in diameter and 700μm in pitch)modified by iridium oxide(IrO_(x)).These two subparts can be aligned with alignment holes and glued back-to-back by epoxy,which ensures that the light from the LEDs passes through the corresponding holes that are evenly distributed around the recording sites.The long-term electrical and optical stabilities of the device are verified using a soaking test for 3 months,and the thermal property is specifically studied with different duty cycles,voltages,and frequencies.Additionally,the electrochemical results prove the reliability of the IrO_(x)-modified microelectrodes after repeated pressing or friction.To evaluate the tradeoff between flexibility and strength,two microelectrode arrays with thicknesses of 5 and 10μm are evaluated through simulation and experiment.The proposed device can be a useful mapping optogenetics tool for neuroscience studies in small(rats and mice)and large animal subjects and ultimately in nonhuman primates. | Bowen Ji Zhejun Guo Minghao Wang Bin Yang Xiaolin Wang Wen Li Jingquan Liu | 2018 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2018,4,1: | 3 |

The study on measuring the cutting temperature with PCBN cutter is done and the calculation formula is achieved. A series of experiments about cutting temperature are made for different hardness tempering bearing steel at the same time. The rule that cutting temperature increases with increasing of the cutting speed, feed, back engagement of the cutting edge is gained. | 10 | Stretchable Parylene-C electrodes enabled by serpentine structures on arbitrary elastomers by silicone rubber adhesive显示文摘The delicate serpentine structures are widely used in high-performance stretchable electronics over the past decade.The metal interconnects encapsulated in biocompatible polymer Parylene-C film is a superior choice for long-term implantation in vivo,especially as neural interface to acquire electrophysiological signals or apply electrical stimulation.To avoid the physical contact damages from the neural tissues such as the brain or peripheral nerves,serpentine interconnects are utilized as stretchable electrodes and usually bonded to the soft elastomer substrate.The adhesion strength between the serpentine interconnects and the elastomer substrate becomes a considerable issue to ensure reliability and structural integrity.In this paper,the stretchable Parylene-C electrodes can be transfer printed onto arbitrary elastomer substrates by a thin layer of silicone rubber adhesive with low modulus for electrocorticogram(ECoG)recording.Mechanical simulation of serpentine structures consisting of same periodic arcs and different straight segments is investigated by uniaxial stretching.Then,the elastic stretchability of serpentine electrodes is further studied by simulation and experiments.After 5000 repetitive stretching cycles,the electrochemical impedance of microelectrodes remains in steady states.These results prove that the silicone rubber adhesive facilitates the interfacial bonding in the structure of stretchable electrodes as the compliant and reliable neural interface. | Bowen Ji Zhaoqian Xie Wen Hong Chunpeng Jiang Zhejun Guo Longchun Wang Xiaolin Wang Bin Yang Jingquan Liu | 2020 | Journal of Materiomics2020,6,2: | 1 |
| 11 | A flexible neural implant with ultrathin substrate for low-invasive brain–computer interface applications显示文摘Implantable brain–computer interface(BCI)devices are an effective tool to decipher fundamental brain mechanisms and treat neural diseases.However,traditional neural implants with rigid or bulky cross-sections cause trauma and decrease the quality of the neuronal signal.Here,we propose a MEMS-fabricated flexible interface device for BCI applications.The microdevice with a thin film substrate can be readily reduced to submicron scale for low-invasive implantation.An elaborate silicon shuttle with an improved structure is designed to reliably implant the flexible device into brain tissue.The flexible substrate is temporarily bonded to the silicon shuttle by polyethylene glycol.On the flexible substrate,eight electrodes with different diameters are distributed evenly for local field potential and neural spike recording,both of which are modified by Pt-black to enhance the charge storage capacity and reduce the impedance.The mechanical and electrochemical characteristics of this interface were investigated in vitro.In vivo,the small cross-section of the device promises reduced trauma,and the neuronal signals can still be recorded one month after implantation,demonstrating the promise of this kind of flexible BCI device as a low-invasive tool for brain–computer communication. | Zhejun Guo Fang Wang Longchun Wang Kejun Tu Chunpeng Jiang Ye Xi Wen Hong Qingda Xu Xiaolin Wang Bin Yang Bomin Sun Zude Lin Jingquan Liu | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,6: | 1 |

| 19 | Low-dose chloroquine treatment extends the lifespan of aged rats显示文摘Dear Editor,Chloroquine(CQ)has long been used as an anti-malarial agent(Wellems and Plowe,2001).Recently,CQ has also been applied to treat viral infection and related diseases(Wellems and Plowe,2001;Huang et al.,2020).However,the safety and efficacy of its applications are still under extensive debate(Solomon and Lee,2009).Here,we discovered that low-dose CQ has a geroprotective effect on physiologically aged rats.Low-dose CQ prolonged lifespan,repressed systemic inflammation,and inhibited fibrosis across multiple tissue types in aged rats.Furthermore,we constructed transcriptomic maps for 6 tissues(kidney,small intestine,liver,heart,lung,and aorta)upon CQ treatment,thus revealing the effects of CQ at a systemic level.CQ treatment mitigated age-related molecular changes and repressed genes linked to fibrosis and the inflammatory response.Altogether,our data provide a valuable resource for investigating the impact of CQ on multiple aged tissues,which may facilitate the development of clinical applications that mitigate age-related changes in the elderly. | Wei Li Zhiran Zou Yusheng Cai Kuan Yang Si Wang Zunpeng Liu Lingling Geng Qun Chu Zhejun Ji Piu Chan Guang-Hui Liu Moshi Song Jing Qu Weiqi Zhang | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,6: | 1 |
