1METAMORPHIC MECHANISMSAND THEIR CONFIGURATION MODELS显示文摘The concept of metamorphic mechanisms is presented, configuration models and configuration transformations relating to a set of new matrix operations are discussed and proposed. The configuration of a metamorphic mechanism reflects the connectivity change in the mechanism during motions which results in mobility change and presents the characteristics of the mechanism which is discussed in various applications particularly in decorative artifacts. 5Ribonuclease H-like gene SMALL GRAIN2 regulates grain size in rice through brassinosteroid signaling pathway显示文摘Grain size is a key agronomic trait that determines the yield in plants.Regulation of grain size by brassinosteroids(BRs)in rice has been widely reported.However,the relationship between the BR signaling pathway and grain size still requires further study.Here,we isolated a rice mutant,named small grain2(sg2),which displayed smaller grain and a semi-dwarf phenotype.The decreased grain size was caused by repressed cell expansion in spikelet hulls of the sg2 mutant.Using map-based cloning combined with a Mut Map approach,we cloned SG2,which encodes a plant-specific protein with a ribonuclease H-like domain.SG2 is a positive regulator downstream of GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE2(GSK2)in response to BR signaling,and its mutation causes insensitivity to exogenous BR treatment.Genetical and biochemical analysis showed that GSK2 interacts with and phosphorylates SG2.We further found that BRs enhance the accumulation of SG2 in the nucleus,and subcellular distribution of SG2 is regulated by GSK2 kinase activity.In addition,Oryza sativa OVATE family protein 19(OsOFP19),a negative regulator of grain shape,interacts with SG2 and plays an antagonistic role with SG2 in controlling gene expression and grain size.Our results indicated that SG2 is a new component of GSK2-related BR signaling response and regulates grain size by interacting with Os OFP19.Yunshuai Huang Hui Dong Changling Mou Ping Wang Qixian Hao Min Zhang Hongmin Wu Fulin Zhang Tengfei Ma Rong Miao Kai Fu Yaping Chen Ziyan Zhu Cheng Chen Qikai Tong Zhuoran Wang Shirong Zhou Xi Liu Shijia Liu Yunlu Tian Ling Jiang Jianmin Wan 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10:1

13Treating CsPbI_(3) Perovskite with Pyrrolidinium Iodide to Improve the Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘All-inorganic CsPbI_(3) perovskite has attracted wide attention due to its desirable optical bandgap(Eg:∼1.7 eV)as well as high chemical stability.Nevertheless,the photovoltaic performance of CsPbI_(3) perovskite solar cells(PSCs)was limited by severe nonradiative charge recombination due to high defect density at the grain boundary and surface of perovskitefilms.To address this issue,a pyrrolidinium iodide(PyI)molecule was introduced to modify the surface and grain boundary of CsPbI_(3) perovskitefilms to passivate defects,which improves the quality of CsPbI_(3) perovskitefilms as well as induces the generation of a quasi-2D Py_(2)CsPb_(2)I_(7) capping layer between per-ovskite layer and hole transport layer.Such quasi-2D Py_(2)CsPb_(2)I_(7) capping layer optimizes interface contact between CsPbI_(3) perovskite layer and hole transport layer and blocks the electron transfer from CsPbI_(3) perovskite photoactive layer to the hole transport layer.As a result,the performance of CsPbI_(3) PSCs is well improved to 17.87%for power conversion efficiency(PCE)with an ultra-high fill factor(FF)of 0.84.In addition,the PyI mole-cule modified CsPbI_(3) perovskite devices exhibit excellent stability,which remains its initial PCE almost unchanged after aging for 35 days under the dry air atmosphere(temperature:20℃–30℃,control relative humid-ity(RH):<10%).Qixian Zhang Yi Guo Huicong Liu Weiping Li Liqun Zhu Haining Chen 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,8:0
14Regional source contributions to fine particulate matter of less studied cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in 2017显示文摘Located in the central area of the North China Plain, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region experiences severe air pollution, especially for Hebei province with five cities among the top 10 cities with the worst air quality nationwide. However, less studies have investigated local and regional contributions to cities in Hebei in comparison to Beijing and Tianjin. In this study, a source-oriented version of the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model is used to quantify inter- and intra-province transport of PM_(2.5) in 11 cities within Hebei in 2017. PM_(2.5) and its components vary seasonally with high levels in winter and low levels in summer. Local contributions to total PM_(2.5) within cities are 23%–61%, while intra-province transport contributes 10%–30%, and inter-province transport contributes 23%–46%, with top contributors of Shandong (4%–22%), Henan (3%–15%) and Shanxi (2%–11%). The primary components in most cities are mainly from local sources (30%–80%), and the secondary components are mainly from inter-province contributions (30%–66%). Local sources have the highest contributions to total PM_(2.5) in Shijiazhuang (∼49%), followed by Shanxi (∼12%) and Xingtai (∼7%). Secondary components from local and intra-province emissions are the major cause of heavy pollution events. 17Synthetic anti-angiogenic genomic therapeutics for treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration显示文摘In light of the intriguing potential of anti-angiogenic approach in suppressing choroidal neovascularization, we attempted to elaborate synthetic gene delivery systems encapsulating anti-angiogenic plasmid DNA as alternatives of clinical antibody-based therapeutics. Herein, block copolymer of cyclic Arg-Gly-Asp-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lysine-thiol) [RGD-PEG-PLys(thiol)] with multifunctional components was tailored in manufacture of core-shell DNA delivery nanoparticulates. Note that the polycationic PLys segments were electrostatically complexed with anionic plasmid DNA into nanoscaled core, and the tethered biocompatible PEG segments presented as the spatial shell(minimizing non-specific reactions in biological milieu). Furthermore, the aforementioned self-assembly was introduced with redox-responsive disulfide crosslinking due to the thiol coupling. Hence, reversible stabilities, namely stable in extracellular milieu but susceptible to disassemble for liberation of the DNA payloads in intracellular reducing microenvironment, were verified to facilitate transcellular gene transportation. In addition, RGD was installed onto the surface of the proposed self-assemblies with aim of targeted accumulation and internalization into angiogenic endothelial cells given that RGD receptors were specifically overexpressed on their cytomembrane surface. The proposed anti-angiogenic DNA therapeutics were validated to exert efficient expression of anti-angiogenic proteins in endothelial cells and elicit potent inhibition of ocular neovasculature post intravitreous administration. Hence, the present study approved the potential of gene therapy in treatment of choroidal neovascularization. 18Activation of pyroptosis by specific organelle-targeting photodynamic therapy to amplify immunogenic cell death for anti-tumor immunotherapy显示文摘Pyroptosis,a unique lytic programmed cell death,inspired tempting implications as potent anti-tumor strategy in pertinent to its potentials in stimulating anti-tumor immunity for eradication of primary tumors and metastasis.Nonetheless,rare therapeutics have been reported to successfully stimulate pyroptosis.In view of the intimate participation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in stimulating pyroptosis,we attempted to devise a spectrum of well-defined subcellular organelle(including mitochondria,lysosomes and endoplasmic reticulum)-targeting photosensitizers with the aim of precisely localizing ROS(produced from photosensitizers)at the subcellular compartments and explore their potentials in urging pyroptosis and immunogenic cell death(ICD).The subsequent investigations revealed varied degrees of pyroptosis upon photodynamic therapy(PDT)towards cancerous cells,as supported by not only observation of the distinctive morphological and mechanistic characteristics of pyroptosis,but for the first-time explicit validation from comprehensive RNA-Seq analysis.Furthermore,in vivo anti-tumor PDT could exert eradication of the primary tumors,more importantly suppressed the distant tumor and metastatic tumor growth through an abscopal effect,approving the acquirement of specific anti-tumor immunity as a consequence of pyroptosis.Hence,pyroptosis was concluded unprecedently by our proposed organelles-targeting PDT strategy and explicitly delineated with molecular insights into its occurrence and the consequent ICD.Shuang Zeng Chen Chen Liuwei Zhang Xiaosheng Liu Ming Qian Hongyan Cui Jingyun Wang Qixian Chen Xiaojun Peng 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,7:0
