| 1 | IL-9 blockade attenuates inflammation in a murine model of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia显示文摘Methicllin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)is an important etiology of pneumonia.Interleukin(L)-9 is a T helper 9(Th9)cytokine and participates in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases.Here,we investigated the role of IL9 by using an MRSA pneumonia animal model.The BALB/c mice underwent nasal inhalation with an ST239 MRSA strain to establish the mouse model of MRSA pneumonia,and a subset of mice were intravenously injected with IL9 neutral-izing antibody or immunoglobulin (lg)G.At 3 and 8 days postinfection,the peripheral blood,bronchioalveolar lavage fluid(BALF),and lung tissues were collected.The frequencies of Th9 cells and the levels of cytokines in peripheral blood,BALE and lung tissues were determined by flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),respectively.The colony counts of MRSA in BALF and lung tissue were detected.The lung pathological changes were examined using hematoxylin and eosin staining.Data from flow cytometry,qRTPCR,and ELISA showed that MRSA infected mice exhibited higher frequency of Th9 cells and higher IL9 mRNA and protein levels in the peripheral blood,BALF and lung tissues of mice.In contrast,the neutralization of IL9 abrogated MRSA inoculation-induced Th9 cell generation and IL9 production in BALF and lung tissues.Furthermore,bacterial counting and histological examination showed that the numbers of bacteria in BALF and lungs and the lung pathological scores induced by MRSA inoculation were attenuated by the neutralization of IL9.Moreover,cell counting and ELISA results demonstrated that IL9 neutralization diminished the MRSA inoculation-induced count of neutrophils and macrophages and levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in BALF Collectively,IL9 neutralization attenuated inflammation of MRSA pneumonia by regulating Th9/L9 expression. | Weihua Xu Keyin Tian Xiaoshuang Li Shihai Zhang | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020，52，2： | 3 |

| 3 | Characters of variation of LURR during the earthquake sequence of Xinjiang显示文摘The theory of the loading/unloading response ratio (LURR) was applied to the Jiashi earthquake sequence which occurred at the beginning of 1997 in Xinjiang, and found that, before the earthquakes with relatively high magnitudes in the sequence, the ratio showed anomalies of high values. | 5 | Home range and habitat use of male Reeves’s Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)during winter in Dongzhai National Nature Reserve,Henan Province,China显示文摘Home range and habitat use of male Reeves’s pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)were studied during winter of 2001~2002 and 2002~2003 in the Dongzhai National Nature Reserve,Henan Province.Results from five individuals of Reeves’s pheasant with over 30 relocations,indicated that the average size of home range was 10.03±1.17 hm^(2) by Minimum Convex Polygon method,8.60±0.35 hm^(2) by 90%Harmonic Mean Transformation method,and 9.50±1.90 hm^(2) by 95%Fixed Kernel method.It was observed that the winter range is smaller than that in the breeding season.The mean core area of the home range was found to be 1.88±0.37 hm^(2).Although the habitat composition of the core area varied greatly for individuals,a large part of the habitats used were composed of conifer and broadleaf mixed forests,masson pine forests,fir forests,and shrubs.Habitat use within the study area was non-random,while habitats within home ranges were randomly used.Habitat use was dictated by tree diameter at breast height,shrub height and coverage at 2.0 m.The proximity between forests and shrubs were also found to be important in providing refuge for the birds during winter.Recommendations for conservation management include protecting the existing habitats in Dongzhai National Nature Reserve,increasing suitable habitat for Reeves’s Pheasant through artificial plantations(e.g.firs),and restoring some parts of the large shrub area into forests. | Xu Jiliang Zhang Xiaohui Zhang Zhengwang Zheng Guangmei Ruan Xiangfeng Zhang Keyin Xi Bo | 2006 | Frontiers in Biology2006，1，2： | 0 |
