| 2 | Caspase-1 inhibition attenuates activation of BV2 microglia induced by LPS-treated RAW264.7 macrophages显示文摘Neuroinflammation has been recognized as a factor in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases.Emerging evidence suggests that peripheral inflammation,besides neuroinflammation,functions as a modulator of disease progression and neuropathology in several neurodegenerative diseases.However,detailed correlations among peripheral inflammation,neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration remain unknown.In the present study,we prepared a peripheral inflammation model with lipopolysaccharides(LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages to explore its activation on BV2 microglia.We found that LPS induced the production of IL-1 β,IL-6 and TNF-α in the culture medium of RAW264.7 macrophages.We further showed that LPS plus ATP activated inflammasome,evidenced by the upregulation of caspase-1 and IL-1β,which was suppressed by ZYVAD,a caspase-1 inhibitor.Furthermore,the conditioned medium obtained from LPS-treated RAW264.7 macrophages activated BV2 microglia,stimulating the release of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-a from BV2 cells.ZYVAD pretreatment markedly suppressed BV2 microglia activation induced by RAW264.7 cells conditioned medium.Taken together,our study indicates that macrophage-mediated peripheral inflammation subsequently evokes neuroinflammation and may aggravate neural damage.Inflammasome and caspase-1 may be potential targets for modulating systemic inflammatory responses in neurodegenerative diseases. | Yang Pan Bo Shen Qin Gao Jun Zhu Jingde Dong Li Zhang Yingdong Zhang | 2016 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,3: | 5 |

In our pursuit to establish such a mouse model, we designed a dual inducible Cre transgene system and tested it in cultured cells. | 5 | Subjective poor sleep quality in Chinese patients with Parkinson's disease without dementia显示文摘Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common progressive neurological disorder and is composed of motor and nonmotor symptoms. Sleep disturbances are frequent problems for patients with PD. The relationship between sleep disturbances with Hoehn and Yahr (H&Y) staging have been demonstrated. However, the relationship between sleep disorders and H&Y is still unclear in patients with PD without dementia in Chinese PD patients. In this study, we interviewed 487 non-demented PD patients of Chinese Han descents by H&Y classification. We found that night sleep quality was significantly associated with the severity of PD (P=0.008). Panic disorder severity scale (PDSS) total scores were correlated with PD non-motor symptoms scale (PDNMS) scores (r=-0.528, P<0.001), the Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) scores (r=-0.545, P<0.001) and the Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) scores (r=-0.498, P<0.001). Our results indicated that sleep quality deteriorated with the advancing of PD in Chinese non-demented patients with PD. | 7 | ZIF-7@carbon composites as multifunctional interlayer for rapid and durable Li-S performance显示文摘The notorious'shuttle effect'of polysulfide during charge-discharge process induces grievous capacity fading,while the sluggish polysulfide conversion kinetics significantly hinders the development of practically viable lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries.In this study,a novel ZIF-7@carbon composite with ZIF-7 sheets vertically rooted on carbon cloth was developed as multifunctional interlayer to address these issues.The composite shows directional layered structure with outstanding compactness,and thus can provide massive active sites for accelerated redox reactions.The pore channels are perpendicular to the square surface,resulting in extremely high utilization of one-dimensional channels.Therefore,this structure can not only maintain the structural stability during the charge-discharge process by providing enough space for volume expansion,but also contribute to efficient exposure and utilization of active sites for the physical/chemical adsorption and catalytic conversion of polysulfide.As a result,Li-S batteries with the as-developed interlayer deliver a considerable areal capacity of 4.75 mAh cm^(-2) at an elevated sulfur loading of 5.5 mg cm^(-2),and an impressive cyclability with an extremely low capacity-fading rate of merely 0.04%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1 C. | Xingbo Wang Yan Zhao Feichao Wu Shuming Liu Zisheng Zhang Zhaoyang Tan Xiaohang Du Jingde Li | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6: | 2 |

| 13 | Experimental Study on Performance of a Closed Wet Cooling Tower for Air Wet-Bulb Temperature near 0°C显示文摘Closed wet cooling towers(CWCTs) are used widely because of their better water quality and smaller water consumption. However, the operating parameters shown in the technical documents are only for rated conditions in summer, not for any other conditions, especially in low air wet-bulb temperature areas such as those near 0℃. In addition, CWCTs often fail to achieve the designed cooling effect at low air wet-bulb temperatures. A experiment set of CWCT was built, and the performance of the CWCT at low air wet-bulb temperature near 0℃ was investigated. The impact of the operating parameters(air flow rate, cooling water flow rate, and spray water flow rate) on the heat and mass transfer performance of the CWCT was measured and analyzed. The results show the cooling performance of the CWCT at an air wet-bulb temperature 0℃, 2℃, and 4℃ is about 47%–63% of the rated operating condition;the optimal operating parameters of these conditions for the CWCT are just the same as those of the rated operating condition in summer. | 17 | An orderly arranged dual-role MIL-53(Al)nanorods array rooted on carbon nanotube film for long-life and stable lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘It is of great value to synchronously resolve the critical issues of the polysulfide shuttle and dendrite growth in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries.Herein,a bifunctional Al-based Material of Institute Lavoisier-53(MIL-53(Al))/carbon nanotube(MIL-53/CNT)composite is reported for this matter,which was constructed by growing an ordered MIL-53(Al)nanorods array on the CNT film.For the sulfur cathode,the proposed structure serves as a multifunctional interlayer to block polysulfides and accelerate their catalytic conversion,thus efficaciously inhibiting the shuttle effect.Meanwhile,when applied as the anode host material(Li@MIL-53/CNT),the flexible CNT film serves as a self-standing framework to accommodate Li metal and alleviate the volume expansion,while the uniform ion channels built by the MIL-53(Al)nanorods array along with the abundant oxygen groups can homogenize Li ion diffusion,enabling a steady Li plating/stripping behavior and limiting the dendrite growth.Not surprisingly,Li-S full battery with MIL-53/CNT interlayer and Li@MIL-53/CNT anode delivers an appreciable specific capacity of 735 mAh·g^(–1)and excellent cycle durability at 5 C,presenting a limited capacity decay of 0.03%per cycle in 500 cycles.Besides,an impressive cycle stability and rate capability are also achieved at high-sulfur loading and lean electrolyte conditions. | Feichao Wu Quanqing Li Gaofeng Jin Yuhong Luo Xiaohang Du Jingde Li Zisheng Zhang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,2: | 1 |
