| 1 | Histogram of the node strength and histogram of the edge weight: two new features for RGB-D person re-identification显示文摘Person re-identification is a classical task for any multi-camera surveillance system. Most of the existing researches on re-identification are based on features extracted from RGB images. However,there are many deficiencies in RGB image processing, some of which are requiring a lot of illumination and high computation. In this paper, novel features are proposed for RGB-D person re-identification. First, the complex network approach in texture recognition is modified and its threshold function is changed for using in depth images extracted by RGB-D sensors. Then, two novel measurements named the histogram of the edge weight(HEW) and the histogram of the node strength(HNS) are introduced on complex networks.Our features fit both single-shot and multi-shot person re-identification. In the single-shot case, the HNS is extracted from only one frame while for the multi-shot case it is extracted from both one frame and multi-frames. These proposed measurements are called histogram of the spatial node strength(HSNS)and histogram of the temporal node strength(HTNS) respectively. Subsequently, these measurements are combined with skeleton features using score-level fusion. | 2 | Influence of glycine additive on corrosion and wear performance of electroplated trivalent chromium coating显示文摘The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of various molar ratios of glycine to chromium salt(Gly:Cr)and different current densities on the corrosion and wear behaviors of Cr(III)electroplated coatings.The morphology and thickness of the coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscopy.The wear properties of the coatings were studied using pin on disk and hardness tests,while corrosion behavior of the coatings was identified using linear polarization,small amplitude cyclic voltammetry,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods.By increasing the glycine concentration,a structure with low crack density was obtained.In all molar ratios,maximum thickness and current efficiency was observed at a current density of 150 mA·cm?2.All the electrochemical methods had a consistent result,and maximum corrosion resistance of approximately 16000Ω·cm2 was obtained in the case of Gly:Cr=3:1 and current density of 200 mA·cm?2. | Navid Mehdipour Milad Rezaei Zeynab Mahidashti | 2020 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2020,27,4: | 2 |
| 3 | Biodegradation of natural and synthetic estrogens in moving bed bioreactor显示文摘Estrogen hormones as a group of endocrine disruptive compounds(EDC) can interfere with endocrine system in humans and animals. The goal of this study was to investigate the elimination rate of Estrone(El), 17β-estradiol(E2) and 17α-ethinyl estradiol(EE2) in Moving Bed Bioreactor(MBBR). These analytes extracted by Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction(DLLME) technique, followed by derivatization, and detected by GC/MS. Estrogen removal efficiency in MBBR improved at high solid retention times(SRTs), which notion is owing to development of nitrification. Estrogen specific removal rate was between 0.22-1.45 μg·(g VSS)^(-1)·d^(-1) for natural and synthetic hormones. The adsorption rate was 0.9%-3.2%, 0-1.3%, and 0.7%-5.7% for El, E2, and EE2, respectively. In addition, the biodegradation rates were more than 95% for these compounds. These results illustrated that in MBBR,the biodegradation and the adsorption to biomass are considered as two significant routes for elimination of estrogenic compounds. | 6 | Evaluation of the effects of Alkyl Phenolic compounds on kinetic coefficients and biomass activity in MBBR by means of respirometric techniques显示文摘The presence of Alkyl Phenols(APs) in aquatic systems is considered as one of the environmental concerns in recent decades which are generally used as surfactants. APs are endocrine disruptors and estrogen-mimicking,causing harmful effects such as feminization and carcinogenesis on aquatic environment and human health.The most commercially important APs are 4-Nonyl Phenol(4-NP) and 4-tert-OctylP henol(4-t-OP). Moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR), which combined attached and suspended growth advantages, is an advanced biological treatment process for municipal and industrial wastewaters that has drawn considerable attention from many researchers to remove toxic pollutants from wastewater. The aim of this research was to evaluate Bacterial activities and kinetic coefficients in the presence of APs. This study was carried out using laboratory-scale MBBR fed with synthetic wastewater containing 4-NP and 4-t-OP. The reactor was operated at different loads of chemical oxygen demand(COD) and APs and different hydraulic retention time(HRT). The respirometric technique was applied to investigate the effect of APs on heterotrophic and autotrophic activity and kinetic coefficients in biomass obtained from MBBR. Respirometric technique demonstrates a reliable tool in order to assess the biofilm kinetic coefficients and biomass viability to insert in the mathematical models. The calculated kinetic parameters were in the range of conventional and extended aeration activated sludge processes. | 7 | Statistical mechanics and artificial intelligence to model the thermodynamic properties of pure and mixture of ionic liquids显示文摘In this paper, the volumetric properties of pure and mixture of ionic liquids are predicted using the developed statistical mechanical equation of state in different temperatures, pressures and mole fractions. The temperature dependent parameters of the equation of state have been calculated using corresponding state correlation based on only the density at 298.15 K as scaling constants. The obtained mean of deviations of modified equation of state for density of all pure ionic liquids for 1662 data points was 0.25%. In addition, the performance of the artificial neural network(ANN) with principle component analysis(PCA) based on back propagation training with28 neurons in hidden layer for predicting of behavior of binary mixtures of ionic liquids was investigated. The AADs of a collection of 568 data points for all binary systems using the EOS and the ANN at various temperatures and mole fractions are 1.03% and 0.68%, respectively. | 13 | Comparison the effects of bioaugmentation versus biostimulation on marine microbial community by PCR–DGGE: A mesocosm scale显示文摘In order to better understand the effects of biostimulation and bioaugmentation processes on a marine microbial community, three different mesocosm experiments were planned. Natural seawater(10.000 L) was artificially polluted with crude oil(1 L) and(1) inorganic nutrients(Biostimulating Mesocosm, BM),(2) inorganic nutrients and an inoculum of Alcanivorax borkumensis SK2(Single Bioaugmentation Mesocosm, SBM),(3) inorganic nutrients and inoculums of A. borkumensis SK2 and Thalassolituus oleivorans MIL-1(Consortium Bioaugmentation Mesocosm, CBM). During the experimental period(20 days), samples were taken from each mesocosm and the community structure was analyzed by PCR–DGGE. The 16 S r RNA gene DGGE banding patterns and sequence analysis demonstrated that biostimulation had the lowest effect on microbial biodiversity in the mesocosms; however, the biodiversity of the marine microbial community dramatically decreased in the CBM(Shannon index was 0.6 in T3). The community structures among the three mesocosms were also markedly different,and major bacteria derived from DGGE bands were related to uncultured Gamma Proteobacteria.
