| 1 | How Work Organization Affects the Prevalence of WMSDs: A Case-control Study显示文摘Objective In this study, we aimed at exploring the association between work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) and work organization based on a case-control study. Methods A total of 1938 workers who claimed to suffer from WMSDs were selected from Beijing, Henan, Hubei, and the Guangdong province. The control group consisted of 2009 workers employed in similar industries without severe disease or musculoskeletal discomforts. We used a modified version of the questionnaire developed by the NMQ and the DMQ to investigate individual and work-related factors. Results A total of 13 variables(P<0.1) were selected by the chi-square test and finally, 7 variables entered into the equation, with 6 variables reaching statistical significance(P<0.05). The odds ratios(OR) of ‘work changing with season' and ‘sufficient rest time' did not reach 1(0.749 and 0.441, respectively). In addition, ‘sufficient rest time' seemed to be the stronger protective factor according to its higher standardized coefficient. And ‘repetitive work every minute', ‘constantly repetitive work'(every day), ‘shortage of site personnel', and ‘often switching shifts with others' seemed to be the risk factors. Conclusion Work organization may have comprehensive effects on the occurrence of WMSDs. | 2 | Effects of Urbanization,Soil Property and Vegetation Configuration on Soil Infiltration of Urban Forest in Changchun,Northeast China显示文摘Urban forest soil infiltration, affected by various factors, is closely related with surface runoff. This paper studied the effect of urban forest types, vegetation configuration and soil properties on soil infiltration. In our study, 191 typical plots were sampled in Changchun City, China to investigate the soil infiltration characteristics of urban forest and its influencing factors. Our results showed that the steady infiltration rates of urban forest soil were highly variable. High variations in the final infiltration rates were observed for different vegetation patterns and compaction degrees. Trees with shrubs and grasses had the highest infiltration rate and trees with bare land had the lowest infiltration rate. In addition, our results showed that the soil infiltration rate decreased with an increase in the bulk density and with a reduction in the soil organic matter content and non-capillary porosity. The soil infiltration rate also had significantly positive relationships with the total porosity and saturated soil water content. Urban soil compaction contributed to low soil infiltration rates. To increase the infiltration rate and water storage volume of urban forest soil, proper techniques to minimize and mitigate soil compaction should be used. | 9 | Fluid Inclusion and Geochemistry Studies of Calcite Veins in Shizhu Synclinorium,Central China:Record of Origin of Fluids and Diagenetic Conditions显示文摘Calcite veins in carbonate fracture have been investigated by petrographic, fluid inclusion, geochemical analyses and coupled with basin modeling techniques to provide useful insights into fluid activity and deformation conditions of the Cambrian to Triassic Shizhu synclinorium from the western region of Mid-Yangtze, central China. The results of the fluid inclusion microthermometry show a wide range of homogenization temperatures(78.6–215.5 °C) and salinities(0.18–23.11 wt.% NaCl equivalent), indicating the formation under diverse fluid conditions. All the calcite veins have negative Ce anomalies, which are the typical characteristic of marine carbonate sediments; it is therefore plausible that calcite veins were precipitated from the marine basin fluid. The stable carbon isotopic compositions of calcites(δ^(13)CV-PDB=-2.5‰–4.26‰) and host limestones(δ^(13)CV-PDB=-3.56‰–5.80‰) are very similar with a correlation coefficient of 0.86, however, four calcites from the Lower Permian and Lower Triassic show lower δ^(13)C values relative to the host limestones, and they are depleted in total REE concentrations(∑REE ratio varies from 0.74 to 2.06), suggesting the derivation of dissolved carbon from marine carbonates hosting the calcite veins and, less commonly, from the degradation of organic matter. Calculated δ^(18)O of the fluids-precipitating calcites(δ^(18)OV-SMOW=-0.41‰–14.42‰), ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios varying in the range of coeval seawater and the distinct REE pattern simultaneously suggest calcite-forming fluids in each stratigraphic unit could have formed from the involvement of fluids that originated from coeval seawater and evolved through different degrees of water rock interaction. However, the presence of more radiogenic ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios than coeval seawater and pronounced positive Eu anomalies in calcites of Lower to Middle Ordovician rocks indicate that terrestrial input from upper strata mudstone and siliciclastic rocks could be involved in the precipitation of the Ordovician calcite. Fluid-inclusion data combined with burial and thermal history modeling indicate there was large-scale flow of evolved basinal fluids through the carbonate formation fractures spanning a time frame from 135 to 50 Ma(Early Cretaceous–Eocene). | 14 | Hydrochemical and isotope characteristics of spring water discharging from Qiushe Loess Section in Lingtai, northwestern China and their implication to groundwater recharge显示文摘The loess plateau in northwestern China with an area of 640 000km^2, which has developed the loess deposits with a thickness up to 200m in typical areas, is regarded as a huge carbon stock like the karst area in southwestern China, and plays an important role in regional(even global) carbon cycle. But the spring discharging from loess is poorly known compared with karst spring so far. The objective of this study is to ascertain the characteristics and origin of spring at Qiushe Village, Lingtai County, Gansu Province by hydro-chemical and isotopic methods. The results show that the springs including LGQ, HMQ, YYQ and CZQ are the depression spring and belong to the same shallow aquifer with the well water JZJ. There are not distinct seasonal/diurnal-scale variations on the hydro-chemical characteristics of the spring water(LGQ, HMQ, YYQ, CZQ) and groundwater(JZJ). The hydro-chemical type of groundwater is Ca·Mg-HCO_3. The D and O isotope ratios indicate that the precipitation is the main recharge source of groundwater in study area. And the results of tritium(TU) and Cl concentration suggest that the recharge cycle of groundwater may be more than 60 yrs. Reactions of wheat to Fusarium infection varied among genotypes and different types of resistance. | 19 | Extracellular Polysaccharide from Rhizopus nigricans Inhibits Hepatocellular Carcinoma via miR-494-3p/TRIM36 Axis and Cyclin E Ubiquitination显示文摘Background and Aims:This study was designed to uncov-er the mechanism for extracellular polysaccharide(EPS1-1)-mediated effects on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)devel-opment.Methods:HCC cells were treated with EPS1-1,miR-494-3p mimic,sh-TRIM36,and pcDNA3.1-TRIM36.The levels of miR-494-3p and TRIM36 were measured in nor-mal hepatocytes,THLE-2,and HepG2 and HuH7HCC cell lines,along with the protein expression of cyclin D/E and p21.The proliferation,cell cycle,and apoptosis of HCC cells were assayed.The interactions between miR-494-3p and TRIM36,and between TRIM36 and cyclin E were assessed.Finally,the expression and localization of TRIM36 and cyclin E were monitored,and tumor apoptosis was detected,in tumor xenograft model.Results:EPS1-1 suppressed HCC cell proliferation and cyclin D/E expression and promoted apoptosis and p21 expression.miR-494-3p was upregulated and TRIM36 was downregulated in HCC cells.Transfection with miR-494-3p mimic or sh-TRIM36 facilitated HCC cell proliferation and the expression of cyclin D/E protein but they inhibited apoptosis and p21 expression in the pres-ence of EPS1-1.Overexpression of TRIM36 further con-solidated EPS1-1-mediated inhibition of HCC proliferation,cyclin D/E,and the promotion of apoptosis and p21 expres-sion.Those effects were reversed by miR-494-3p overex-pression.TRIM36 was a target gene of miR-494-3p,and TRIM36 induced cyclin E ubiquitination.EPS1-1 suppressed cyclin E expression,promoted TRIM36 expression and tu-mor apoptosis,all of which were abrogated by increasing the expression of miR-494-3p in vivo.Conclusions:EPS1-1 protected against HCC by limiting its proliferation and sur-vival through the miR-494-3p/TRIM36 axis and by inducing cyclin E ubiquitination. | Haixiong Yan XiaoQian Ma Ze Mi Zhenhu He Pengfei Rong | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4: | 2 |
| 20 | Impact of Fungicide Treatments on the Constitution of Unsound Wheat Kernels显示文摘Nine fungicides were applied,either through seed-dressing or post-anthesis foliar-spray,to eight winter wheat varieties to understand their influences on the constitution of unsound kernels during the 2017-2018 growth season in Funan Experimental Station,Anhui,P.R.China.Three unsound kernel items,i.e.Fusarium-damaged kernels( FDKs),black-germ kernels( BGKs) and pre-harvest sprouted kernels( PHSKs),were measured from the harvested grains.A high percentage of unsound kernels was noticed as 6.00% for FDKs,8.43% for BGKs,and 38.19% for PHSKs due to excessive precipitation during the filling and maturation stages within the season.Fungicide treatments showed positive impacts on the formation of FDKs and BGKs.No significant differences were noticed on the percentage of PHSKs among treatments.The best control efficiency on FDKs,24.63%,was observed in the treatment of‘tebuconazole + prochloraz-manganese chloride complex'.The highest control efficiency on BGKs,31.54%,was achieved by the treatment of‘phenazino-1-carboxylic acid'.Significant differences were noticed among varieties with respect to the constitution of unsound kernels.Under the specific ecological conditions,70%-75% of the final grain quality of wheat was determined by the genotype itself.It was concluded that the genetic resistance or tolerance to relevant fungal pathogens and pre-harvest sprouting was the key factor determining the constitution of unsound wheat kernels,whilst chemical control might function with limited effects when crop was grown under high-pressure or stress conditions. | Ze LIU Yiliang QIAN Li ZHAO Xianfang HE Jianlai WANG | 2018 | Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,6: | 2 |
