1The State-of-the-Art Review on Applications of Intrusive Sensing,Image Processing Techniques,and Machine Learning Methods in Pavement Monitoring and Analysis显示文摘In modern transportation,pavement is one of the most important civil infrastructures for the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.Pavement service quality and service life are of great importance for civil engineers as they directly affect the regular service for the users.Therefore,monitoring the health status of pavement before irreversible damage occurs is essential for timely maintenance,which in turn ensures public transportation safety.Many pavement damages can be detected and analyzed by monitoring the structure dynamic responses and evaluating road surface conditions.Advanced technologies can be employed for the collection and analysis of such data,including various intrusive sensing techniques,image processing techniques,and machine learning methods.This review summarizes the state-ofthe-art of these three technologies in pavement engineering in recent years and suggests possible developments for future pavement monitoring and analysis based on these approaches.Yue Hou Qiuhan Li Chen Zhang Guoyang Lu Zhoujing Ye Yihan Chen Linbing Wang Dandan Cao 2021Engineering2021,7,6:3
2Proliferation inhibition and apoptosis promotion by dual silencing of VEGF and Survivin in human osteosarcoma显示文摘Simultaneous silencing of multiple upregulated genes is an attractive and viable treatment strat-egy for many incurable diseases including cancer.Herein we used a dual gene-targeted siRNA conjugate composed of VEGF and Survivin siRNA sequences in the same backbone to inhibit proliferation and angiogenesis in two human osteosarcoma cell lines.We synthesized siRNA sequences targeting the VEGF and Survivin genes individually (VEGF siRNA and Survivin siRNA) or simultaneously (one-chain-double-target siRNA:dual siRNA).VEGF and Survivin mRNA and protein expression levels in human osteosarcoma MG-63 and Saos-2 cells were detected by qRT- PCR and western blot analysis.VEGF and Survivin protein location and expression were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining.MG-63 and Saos-2 cell migration,proliferation,apoptosis,and angiogenesis were detected by scratch test,MTT assay,flow cytometry,and capillary tube assay respectively.The dual siRNA induced similar downregulation of VEGF and Survivin mRNA and protein levels,compared with VEGF siRNA or Survivin siRNA alone.The dual siRNA caused greater suppression of MG-63 and Saos-2 cell migration,proliferation and angiogenesis,and promoted more cell apoptosis than VEGF siRNA or Survivin siRNA alone,suggesting that the effects of the dual siRNA on inhibiting cell proliferation,migration,and angiogenesis and promoting apoptosis were superior to those of the single-target siRNAs.Simultaneous silencing of VEGF and Survivin using the dual siRNA may be an advantageous alternative for the development of therapeutic strategies against human osteosarcoma.Junquan Gu Zhoujing Ji Dong Li Qirong Dong 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1:2

4A distributed pavement monitoring system based on Internet of Things显示文摘Pavement is an important part of transportation infrastructure.In order to maintain pavement before the damage and improve the service quality,it is necessary to develop an intelligent and durable pavement information monitoring system.However,the pavement dynamic response monitoring is highly costly,easily obsolete and statistically redundant.The emergence of the Internet of Things(IoT)technology promises to change that.In this paper,an architecture of a distributed road IoT monitoring system is proposed,which has an acquisition layer,a preprocessing layer,a processing layer,an interaction layer,an energy layer and a network layer.Then,a prototype wireless pavement vibration monitoring system based on the IoT is developed,which consists of a number of wireless sensing nodes,a gateway,a remote server and a browser.Finally,data preprocessing,wireless communication,time synchronization,data processing and visualization,which represent the key to an effective system,are tested and discussed.The prototype wireless pavement vibration monitoring system provides a viable scheme for upgrading the IoT system and its application in the road infrastructures.In the future,any smart road will have an IoT wireless monitoring system to monitor the traffic,environment,and pavement information,which help enable traffic guidance,signal control,danger warning,scientific maintenance decision-making.Zhoujing Ye Ya Wei Jianfeng Li Guannan Yan Linbing Wang 2022Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2022,9,2:2
5Soil Manganese and Iron Released due to Calcium Salts:Bioavailability to Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.)显示文摘Releases of manganese and iron ions from an albic soil (Albic-Udic Luvisol), a yellow-red soil (Hap-Udic Ferrisol) and a yellow-brown soil (Arp-Udic Luvisol) induced by calcium salt addition and their bioavailability to pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) were studied in a pot experiment. Addition of Ca(NO3)2 decreased soil pH and increased both exchangeable and DTPA (diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid)-extractable Mn and Fe in soils. Meanwhile, total Mn accumulation in the shoots of Capsicum frutescens L. on the salt-treated soils increased significantly (P < 0.01) compared with the control, suggesting that salt addition to soil induced Mn toxicity in Capsicum frutescens L. Although exchangeable and DTPA-extractable Fe increased also in the salt-treated soils, Fe uptake by the shoots of Capsicum frutescens L. decreased. The effect of added salts in soils on dry matter weight of pepper varied with the soil characteristics, showing different buffer capacities of the soils for salt toxicity in an order of yellow-brown soil > albic soil > yellow-red soil. Fe/Mn ratio in shoots of Capsicum frutescens L. decreased with increasing salt addition for all the soils, which was ascribed to the antagonistic effect of Mn on Fe accumulation.
