1Incidence and mortality of primary bone cancers in China, 2014显示文摘Objective: In this study, we aimed to estimate the updated incidence and mortality of primary bone cancers based on population-based cancer registration data in 2014, collected by the National Central Cancer Registry of China(NCCRC).Methods: In 2017, 339 registries' data were qualified based on data quality criteria set down by the NCCRC.Cases of primary bone cancers were retrieved from the national database. We estimated numbers of primary bone cancer cases and deaths in China using age-specific rates and corresponding national population stratified by area,sex, age-group(0, 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, …, 85+). Chinese standard population in 2000 and Segi's World population were applied for the calculation of age-standardized incidence and mortality rates.Results: In 2014, 24,000 primary bone cancer cases and 17,200 deaths attributable to primary bone cancers were estimated to have occurred in China. The crude incidence rate of primary bone cancers was 1.76/100,000, with agestandardized incidence rate by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by World standard population(ASIRW)being 1.35/100,000 and 1.32/100,000, respectively. The crude mortality rate of primary bone cancers was1.26/100,000, with age-standardized mortality rate by Chinese standard population(ASMRC) and by World standard population(ASMRW) being 0.88/100,000 and 0.86/100,000, respectively. Age-specific incidence curve was bimodally distributed with age, with the first peak occurring in the second decade of the life and the second peak in the elderly. Males had higher crude and age-standardized rates for both incidence and mortality compared with females. Both crude and age-standardized incidence rates were higher in rural areas than in urban areas, so were the crude and age-standardized mortality rates.Conclusions: This population-based study presents the most recently available estimates on primary bone cancers in China, revealing that the males are 1.34 times as much as females suffering from primary bone cancers and the adolescents in puberty and the elderly are predominantly affected groups by these cancers. 2Trend in pan evaporation and its attribution over the past 50 years in China显示文摘Trends in pan evaporation are widely relevant to the hydrological community as indicators of hydrological and climate change. Pan evaporation has been decreasing in the past few decades over many large areas with differing climates globally. This study analyzes pan evaporation data from 671 stations in China over the past 50 years in order to reveal the trends of it and the corresponding trend attribution. Mann-Kendall test shows a significant declining trend in pan evaporation for most stations, with an average decrease of 17.2 mm/10a in China as a whole, the rate of decline was the steepest in the humid region (29.7 mm/10a), and was 17.6 mm/10a and 5.5 mm/10a in the semi-humid/semi-arid region and arid region, respectively. Complete correlation coefficients of pan evaporation with 7 climate factors were computed, and decreases in diurnal temperature range (DTR), SD (sunshine duration) and wind speed were found to be the main attributing factors in the pan evaporation declines. 3Acupuncture and moxibustion reduces neuronal edema in Alzheimer's disease rats显示文摘To examine the possible correlation of aberrant Wnt signaling and pathological changes in Alzheimer's disease, we established a rat model of Alzheimer's disease and measured axin and β-catenin expression in the hippocampus. Rats were pretreated with moxibustion or electroacu-puncture, or both, at Baihui(GV20) and Shenshu(BL23). Axin expression was lower, β-catenin expression was greater, and neuronal cytoplasmic edema was visibly prevented in the rats that had received the pretreatments. 4Characterization and mapping of a novel mutant sms1 (senescence and male sterility 1) in rice显示文摘Plant senescence plays diverse important roles in development and environmental responses.However,the molecular basis of plant senescence is remained largely unknown.A rice spontaneous mutant with the character of early senescence and male sterility (sms) was found in the breeding line NT10-748.In order to identify the gene SMS1 and the underlying mechanism,we preliminarily analyzed physiological and biochemical phenotypes of the mutant.The mutant contained lower chlorophyll content compared with the wild type control and was severe male sterile with lower pollen viability.Genetic analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene.By the map-based cloning approach,we fine-mapped SMS1 to a 67 kb region between the markers Z3-4 and Z1-1 on chromosome 8 using 1,074 F2 recessive plants derived from the cross between the mutant sms1 (japonica) × Zhenshan 97 (indica),where no known gene involved in senescence or male sterility has been identified.Therefore the SMS1 gene will be a novel gene that regulates the two developmental processes.The further cloning and functional analysis of the SMS1 gene is under way.Wenyi Yan Shenghai Ye Qingsheng Jin Longjun Zeng Yu Peng Dawei Yan Weibing Yang Donglei Yang Zuhua He Yanjun Dong Xiaoming Zhang 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,1:6
5LA-ICP-MS U–Pb geochronology of detrital zircons from the Zhaochigou Formation-complex in the Helan Mountain and its tectonic significance显示文摘This paper carries out studies about LA-ICPMS U–Pb dating and Hf isotopic compositional analysis for detrital zircons in two metasedimentary samples that were taken from the Zhaochigou Formation-complex in the Helan Mountain.The results show that the Zhaochigou Formation-complex formed*1.96 Ga,and it is a part of the Khondalite Series that is widespread in the North China Craton(NCC).The age spectrum of the detrital zircons indicates that the Zhaochigou Formation-complex shared the same provenance with the eastern edge of the Khondalite Series.Products of ancient magmatic activities within the Khondalite Belt may be the major source for the sedimentary materials that formed the Khondalite Series.Our age-dating results suggest that the Khondalite Series in the NCC may have experienced two stages of metamorphism,as the early stage occurred during 1.96–1.95 Ga,and the later stage occurred at about 1.87 Ga.The Hfisotopic data indicate that the Western Block of the NCC endured a stage of crustal growth at 2.5–2.3 Ga.Liming Li Zuoxun Zeng Yanjun Lu Yunxu Wei Shimin Xiang Lili Pan 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,13:3

7Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 8Construction and electrochemical mechanism investigation of hierarchical core-shell like composite as high performance anode for potassium ion batteries显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are promising candidates for next-generation energy storage devices due to the earth abundance of potassium,low cost,and stable redox potentials.However,the lack of promising high-performance electrode materials for the intercalation/deintercalation of large potassium ions is a major challenge up to date.Herein,we report a novel uniform nickel selenide nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon(defined as“NiSe@NC”)as an anode for PIBs,which exhibits superior rate performance and cyclic stability.Benefiting from the unique hierarchical core-shell like nanostructure,the intrinsic properties of metal-selenium bonds,synergetic effect of different components,and a remarkable pseudocapacitance effect,the anode exhibits a very high reversible capacity of 438 mA·h·g^(-1)at 50 mA·g^(-1),an excellent rate capability,and remarkable cycling performance over 2,000 cycles.The electrochemical mechanism were investigated by the in-situ X-ray diffraction,ex-situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,selected area electron diffraction,and first principle calculations.In addition,NiSe@NC anode also shows high reversible capacity of 512 mA·h·g^(-1)at 100 mA·g^(-1)with 84%initial Coulombic efficiency,remarkable rate performance,and excellent cycling life for sodium ion batteries.We believe the proposed simple approach will pave a new way to synthesize suitable anode materials for secondary ion batteries.Nadeem Hussain Suyuan Zeng Zhenyu Feng Yanjun Zhai Chunsheng Wang Mingwen Zhao Yitai Qian Liqiang Xu 2021Nano Research2021,14,10:1

12Petroleum coke derived porous carbon/NiCoP with efficient reviving catalytic and adsorptive activity as sulfur host for high performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Sulfur-host material with abundant pore structure and high catalysis plays an important role in development of high-energy-density lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries.Herein,we implanted NiCoP nanoparticles into the N,S co-doped porous carbon derived from petroleum coke(PCPC)to fabricate the sulfur-host of PCPC/NiCoP composites.The high specific surface area of PCPC provides abundant adsorption sites for capturing LiPSs and the NiCoP nanoparticles to improve the polarity and boost the LiPSs conversion kinetics of PCPC.The Li-S cells fabricated with PCPC/NiCoP as sulfur-host deliver high discharge capacity of 1,462.7 mAh·g^(-1)under the current density of 0.1 C and exhibit ultralong lifespan over 800 cycles under the current density of 1,2,and even 5 C.Additionally,the prepared composites cathodes deliver an outstanding discharge capacity of 932.5 and 826.4 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.5 and 1 C with a high sulfur loading of over 3.90 mg·cm^(-2),and remain stable about 60 cycles.Furthermore,the promoted adsorption-conversion process of polysulfides by introducing NiCoP nanoparticles into PCPC was investigated by experimental and theoretical calculation studies.This work offers a new light for tacking the obstacles of porous carbon-based sulfur-host and propelling the development of petroleum coke-based porous carbon for high performance Li-S batteries.Bo Zhang Lu Wang Bin Wang Yanjun Zhai Shuyuan Zeng Meng Zhang Yitai Qian Liqiang Xu 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:1

20Ambient Temperature and Years of Life Lost:A National Study in China显示文摘Although numerous studies have investigated premature deaths attributable to temperature,effects of temperature on years of life lost(YLL)remain unclear.We estimated the relationship between temperatures and YLL,and quantified the YLL per death caused by temperature in China.We collected daily meteorological and mortality data,and calculated the daily YLL values for 364 locations(2013–2017 in Yunnan,Guangdong,Hunan,Zhejiang,and Jilin provinces,and 2006–2011 in other locations)in China.A time-series design with a distributed lag nonlinear model was first employed to estimate the location-specific associations between temperature and YLL rates(YLL/100,000 population),and a multivariate meta-analysis model was used to pool location-specific associations.Then,YLL per death caused by temperatures was calculated.The temperature and YLL rates consistently showed U-shaped associations.A mean of 1.02(95%confidence interval:0.67,1.37)YLL per death was attributable to temperature.Cold temperature caused 0.98 YLL per death with most from moderate cold(0.84).The mean YLL per death was higher in those with cardiovascular diseases(1.14),males(1.15),younger age categories(1.31 in people aged 65–74 years),and in central China(1.34)than in those with respiratory diseases(0.47),females(0.87),older people(0.85 in people R75 years old),and northern China(0.64)or southern China(1.19).The mortality burden was modified by annual temperature and temperature variability,relative humidity,latitude,longitude,altitude,education attainment,and central heating use.Temperatures caused substantial YLL per death in China,which was modified by demographic and regional characteristics.Tao Liu Chunliang Zhou Haoming Zhang Biao Huang Yanjun Xu Lifeng Lin Lijun Wang Ruying Hu Zhulin Hou Yize Xiao Junhua Li Xiaojun Xu Donghui Jin Mingfang Qin Qinglong Zhao Weiwei Gong Peng Yin Yiqing Xu Jianxiong Hu Jianpeng Xiao Weilin Zeng Xing Li Siqi Chen Lingchuan Guo Zuhua Rong Yonghui Zhang Cunrui Huang Yaodong Du Yuming Guo Shannon Rutherford Min Yu Maigeng Zhou Wenjun Ma 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:1
