| 1 | Microcystis aeruginosa/Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes interaction effects on off-flavors in algae/bacteria co-culture system under different temperatures显示文摘We conducted an experiment to study the interaction effects of Microcystis aeruginosa and Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes on off-flavors in an algae/bacteria co-culture system at three temperatures(24, 28 and 32℃). Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry was applied to measure off-flavor compounds dimethyl sulfide(DMS), dimethyl trisulfide(DMTS),2-methylisoborneol, geosmin(GEO) and β-cyclocitral. During the lag phase of co-cultured M. aeruginosa(first 15 days), P. pseudoalcaligenes significantly increased the production of DMS, DMTS and β-cyclocitral at all three temperatures. In the exponential phase of co-cultured M. aeruginosa(after 15 days), M. aeruginosa became the main factor on off-flavors in the co-culture system, and β-cyclocitral turned to the highest off-flavor compound. These results also indicated that DMS, DMTS and β-cyclocitral were the main off-flavor compounds in our M. aeruginosa/P. pseudoalcaligenes co-culture system. Univariate analysis was applied to investigate the effects of M. aeruginosa and P. pseudoalcaligenes on the production of off-flavors. The results demonstrated that both M. aeruginosa and P. pseudoalcaligenes could increase the production of DMS and DMTS, while β-cyclocitral was mainly determined by M. aeruginosa. | 5 | Risk factors for conversion to thoracotomy from video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery of lung cancer显示文摘Objectives:Intraoperative conversion to thoracotomy from video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS)is associated with increased adverse events,which is a major concern.We aim to explore the related risk factors in lung cancer patients.Methods:In our study,the data from 1305 patients who underwent VATS between June 2017 and May 2020 were retrospectively collected,among which 67 patients underwent unexpected conversion to thoracotomy.All patients were divided into Non-conversion Group or Conversion Group according to whether they required a conversion to thoracotomy and the risk factors were explored by univariate and multivariate analyses.Results:The most common cause of conversion was fibrocalcified lymph nodes,found in 33 patients(49.3%).Multivariable logistic regression analysis demonstrates that the independent risk factors for the conversion were age≥65 y(OR=2.696,95%CI:1.487e4.887,p=0.001),tumor size>3 cm(OR=4.527,95%CI:2.490e8.233,p<0.001),and tumor location in the left upper lung(OR=3.809,95%CI:1.737 e5.492,p<0.001).Conclusions:Advanced age,bigger tumor size and tumor at the left upper lobe could lead to conversion.In the early VATS learning cases,surgeons should try to choose patients with lower risk of conversion to thoracotomy. | Yifan Liu Hao Yu Yunzhen Wang Zhengfu He | 2020 | Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery2020,3,4: | 0 |
| 6 | Seven-year follow-up of spontaneously resolved primary congenital glaucoma:a case report显示文摘Background:Spontaneously resolved primary congenital glaucoma is rare and the mechanism remains unknown.Previous literature described the phenomenon of spontaneous resolution of primary congenital glaucoma,with no further reports on follow-up visits and visual development of patients.We report a case of unilateral spontaneously resolved primary congenital glaucoma at a 7-year follow-up visit and describe the differential development of axial length(AL)between affected eye and healthy eye.Case Description:A 6-year-old boy firstly presented at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center with expanded corneas and ruptures in Descemet’s membranes(Haab’s striae)and apparently thin retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)in the left eye(LE),but normal intraocular pressure(IOP)of both eyes without anti-glaucoma medications or surgeries.At 7-year follow-up,the IOPs of bilateral eyes were stable ranging from 8 to 11 mmHg.A cup to disc ratio and the RNFL was stable in the LE at the following visit.The AL increased almost 3 mm in the right eye(RE)but 1.5 mm in the LE.Without anti-glaucoma medications or surgeries,the primary congenital glaucoma was spontaneously resolved.Conclusions:It may figure out the development and influence of the affected eye of the patient,including AL and refraction state with regular ophthalmic examination at periodic follow-up. | Qiaona Ye Yunzhen Wang Jiangang Xu Minbin Yu Yangfan Yang | 2022 | Annals of Eye Science2022,,2: | 0 |
| 7 | HNF-1a promotes pancreatic cancer growth and apoptosis resistance via its target gene PKLR显示文摘Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is one of the deadliest malignant tumors,and many genes play important roles in its development.The hepatocyte nuclear factor-1a(HNF-1a)gene encodes HNF-1a,which is a transcriptional activator.HNF-1a regulates the tissue-specific expression of multiple genes,especially in pancreatic islet cells and in the liver.However,the role of the HNF-1a gene in the development of pancreatic cancer is still unclear.Here,we used immunohistochemical staining and real-time PCR to analyze HNF-1a expression in pancreatic cancer tissue.Stable cell lines with HNF-1a knockdown or overexpression were established to analyze the role of HNF-1a in pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis by colony formation assay and flow cytometry.We also analyzed the L-type pyruvate kinase(PKLR)promoter sequence to identify the regulatory effect of HNF-1a on PKLR transcription and confirmed the HNF-1a binding site in the PKLR promoter via a chromatin immunoprecipitation assay.HNF-1a was found to be overexpressed in pancreatic cancer and promoted proliferation while inhibiting apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells.PKLR was identified as the downstream target gene of HNF-1a and binding of HNF-1a at two sites in PKLR(-1931/-1926 and-966/-961)regulated PKLR transcription.In conclusion,HNF-1a is overexpressed in pancreatic cancer,and the transcription factor HNF-1a can promote pancreatic cancer growth and apoptosis resistance via its target gene PKLR. | Zhiyao Fan Kun Fan Shengming Deng Yitao Gong Yunzhen Qian Qiuyi Huang Chao Yang He Cheng Kaizhou Jin Guopei Luo Chen Liu Xianjun Yu | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,3: | 0 |
| 8 | Isolation and Identification of Aeromonas allosaccharophila from Procambarus clarkii显示文摘In order to provide a scientific basis for the control of Aeromonas allosaccharophila from Procambarus clarkii,a dominant strain was isolated from moribund P. clarkii in some farm in Hubei Province,and designated X1. It was preliminarily identified to be A. allosaccharophila through physiological-biochemical test. Further sequence analysis showed that 16 S rDNA of this bacterium shared 90% identity with 16 S rDNA of A. allosaccharophila,suggesting that it is A. allosaccharophila. Drug sensitivity test showed that isolate X1 was sensitive to doxycycline,cefotaxime,norfloxacin and gentamicin. | 9 | Detection of Geochemical Element Assemblage Anomalies Using a Local Correlation Approach显示文摘As direct prospecting data,geochemical data play an important role in modelling prospect potential.Geochemical element assemblage anomalies are usually reflected by the correlation between elements.Correlation coefficients are computed from the values of two elements,which reflect only the correlation at a global level.Thus,the spatial details of the correlation structure are ignored.In fact,an element combination anomaly often exists in geological backgrounds,such as on a fault zone or within a lithological unit.This anomaly may cause some combination of anomalies that are submerged inside the overall area and thus cannot be effectively extracted.To address this problem,we propose a local correlation coefficient based on spatial neighbourhoods to reflect the global distribution of elements.In this method,the sampling area is first divided into a set of uniform grid cells.A moving window with a size of 3×3 is defined with an integer of 3 to represent the sampling unit.The local correlation in each unit is expressed by the Pearson correlation coefficient.The whole area is scanned by the moving window,which produces a correlation coefficient matrix,and the result is portrayed with a thermal diagram.The local correlation approach was tested on two selected geochemical soil survey sites in Xiao Mountain,Henan Province.The results show that the areas of high correlation are mainly distributed in the fault zone or the known mineral spots.Therefore,the local correlation method is effective in extracting geochemical element combination anomalies. | Xianchuan Yu Shicheng Wang Hao Wang Yuchen Liang Siying Chen Kang Wu Zhaoying Yang Chongyang Li Yunzhen Chang Ying Zhan Wang Yao Dan Hu | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,2: | 0 |
