| 1 | Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Synoptic meteorology显示文摘Synoptic meteorology is a branch of meteorology that uses synoptic weather observations and charts for the diagnosis,study,and forecasting of weather.Weather refers to the specific state of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface during a short period of time.The spatial distribution of meteorological elements in the atmosphere can be represented by a variety of transient weather phenomena,which are caused by weather systems of different spatial and temporal scales.Weather is closely related to people’s life,and its development and evolution have always been the focus of atmospheric scientific research and operation.The development of synoptic meteorology is closely related to the development of observation systems,dynamical theories and numerical models.In China,observation networks have been built since the early 1950 s.Up to now,a comprehensive meteorological observation systembased on ground,air and space has been established.In particular,the development of a new generation of dense radar networks,the development of the Fengyun satellite series and the implementation of a series of large field experiments have brought our understanding of weather from large-scale environment to thermal dynamics,cloud microphysical structure and evolution characteristics of meso and micro-scale weather systems.The development of observation has also promoted the development of theory,numerical model and simulation.In the early days,China mainly used foreign numerical models.Lately,China has developed numerical model systems with independent intellectual property rights.Based on the results of high-resolution numerical simulations,in-depth understanding of the initiation and evolution mechanism and predictability of weather at different scales has been obtained.Synoptic meteorology has gradually changed from an initially independent development to a multidisciplinary approach,and the interaction between weather and the change of climate and environment has become a hot and frontier topic in atmospheric science.This paper reviews the important scientific and technological achievements made in China over the past 70 years in the fields of synoptic meteorology based on the literatures in China and abroad,from six aspects respectively including atmospheric dynamics,synoptic-scale weather,typhoon and tropical weather,severe convective weather,numerical weather prediction and data assimilation,weather and climate,atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. | Zhiyong MENG Fuqing ZHANG Dehai LUO Zhemin TAN Juan FANG Jianhua SUN Xueshun SHEN Yunji ZHANG Shuguang WANG Wei HAN Kun ZHAO Lei ZHU Yongyun HU Huiwen XUE Yaping MA Lijuan ZHANG Ji NIE Ruilin ZHOU Sa LI Hongjun LIU Yuning ZHU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 7 |
| 2 | SDS-modified Nanoporous Silver as an Efficient Electrocatalyst for Selectively Converting CO2 to CO in Aqueous Solution显示文摘Selectively electrochemical conversion of CO2 into organic fuel using renewable electricity is one of the most sought-after processes.In this paper,we report the electrochemical reduction of CO2(CO2RR)on the nanoporous Ag electrodes made of compacted Ag nanoparticles(AgNPs),which were prepared by one-step reduction in the water phase with or without the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS).The scanning electron microscope(SEM)characterizations show that the compacted Ag electrodes have the nanoporous morphology formed by stacking AgNPs.Compared with the nanoporous Ag electrode without SDS modification(C-AgNPs),the SDS-modified AgNPs electrode(C-AgNPs-SDS)is highly effective in improving selective CO production in a wide range of potentials(-0.69 V--1.19 V,vs.RHE),with a Faradaic efficiency of 92.2% and a current density of -8.23 mA·cm^-2 for CO production at -0.79 V(vs.RHE).C-AgNPs-SDS is also catalytically stable with only less than 7% deactivation after 8 h of continuous electrolysis. | Lei Shi Yuning Zhang Xiaofei Han Dongfang Niu Jinlong Sun Jenny Y.Yang Shuozhen Hu Xinsheng Zhang | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,4: | 5 |

| 4 | Production and emission of phosphine gas from wetland ecosystems显示文摘Phosphine is a part of an atmospheric link of phosphorus cycle on earth, which could be an important pathway for phosphorus transport in environment.Wetland ecosystems are important locations for global biogeochemical phosphorus cycle.In this study, production and emission fluxes of free phosphine from four wetlands types in southern China were observed in different seasons.The results showed that the concentration of phosphine liberated from wetlands was at pg/m3-ng/m3 level.The emission concentrations of different wetlands followed the sequence:paddy field(51.83 ± 3.06) ng/m3 marsh(46.54 ± 20.55) ng/m3 > lake(37.05 ± 22.74) ng/m3 coastal wetland(1.71 ± 0.73) ng/m3, the positive phosphine emission flux occurred in rice paddy field(6.67 ± 5.18) ng/(m2·hr) and marsh(6.23 ± 26.9) ng/(m2·hr), while a negative phosphine flux of(-13.11 ± 35.04) ng/(m2·hr) was observed on the water-air interface of Lake Taihu, suggesting that paddy field and marsh may be important sources for phosphine gas in atmosphere, while lake may be a sink of atmospheric phosphine gas during the sampling period.Atmospheric phosphine levels and emission flux from Yancheng marsh and rice paddy field varied in different seasons and vegetational zones.Both diffusion resistance in aqueous phase and temperature were dominating factors for the production and transportation of phosphine to atmosphere. | Chao Han Xueyuan Gu Jinju Geng Yuning Hong Rui Zhang Xiaorong Wang Shixiang Gao | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,9: | 5 |
| 5 | Effect of Temperature and Gamma-Ray Irradiation on Optical Characteristics of Fiber Bragg Grating Inscribed Radiation-Resistant Optical Fiber显示文摘A new radiation-hard germano-silicate glass optical fiber with a pure silica glass buffer and a boron-doped silica glass inner cladding was fabricated for temperature sensor application based on the fiber Bragg grating(FBG)underg-ray irradiation environment.The temperature dependences of optical attenuation at 1550.5 nm and Bragg reflection wavelength shift from 18℃to 40℃before theγ-ray irradiation were about 4.57´10^(-4)dB/℃and 5.48 pm/℃,respectively.The radiation-induced optical attenuation at 1550.5 nm and the radiation-induced Bragg reflection wavelength shift under theγ-ray irradiation with the total dose of 22.85 kGy at 35℃were about 0.03 dB/m and 0.12 nm,respectively,with theγ-ray irradiation sensitivity of 5.25´10^(-3)pm/Gy.The temperature and theγ-ray irradiation dependence of optical attenuation at 1550.5 nm in the FBG written fiber with boron-doped silica glass inner cladding were about 6 times and 4 times lower than that in the FBG written fiber without boron-doped silica glass inner cladding under a temperature change from 18℃to 40℃and theγ-ray irradiation with the total dose of 22.85 kGy at 35℃,respectively.Furthermore,the effect of temperature increase on the Bragg reflection wavelength of the FBG written fiber with boron-doped silica inner cladding was much larger about 1000 times than that of theγ-ray irradiation.However,no influence on the reflection power of the Bragg wavelengths and the full width at half maximum(FWHM)bandwidth under temperature and theγ-ray irradiation change was found.Also,after theγ-ray irradiation with the dose of 22.85 kGy,no significant change in the refractive index was found but the residual stresses developed in the fiber were slightly relaxed or retained. | Seongmin JU Youngwoong KIM Kadathala LINGANNA Yune Hyoun KIM Won-Taek HAN | 2020 | Photonic Sensors2020,10,1: | 2 |

| 9 | Three-dimensional digital technology-assisted precise tumor resection and reconstruction of the femoral trochanter and postoperative functional recovery:a retrospective study显示文摘Background The trochanter of the femur is a common site for bone tumors.However,locating the specificboundary of bone tumor infiltration and determining the surgical method can be challenging.The objective of thisstudy was to review the diagnosis,treatment,and surgical outcomes of patients with tumors or tumor-like changesin the femoral trochanter after computer-assisted precise tumor resection and hip-preserving reconstruction ofthe trochanter.Methods From January 2005 to September 2020,11 patients with trochanteric tumors(aged:18–53 years;sixmales and five females)were treated in Guangzhou First People’s Hospital.The cases included aneurysmal bonecyst(n=1),giant cell tumor of bone(n=2),fibrous histiocytoma of bone(n=1),endochondroma(n=1),andfibrous dysplasia of bone(n=6).For patients with trochanteric tumors,computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging scanning were performed before operation to obtain two-dimensional image data of the lesion.Athree-dimensional digital model of bilateral lower limbs was reconstructed by computer technology,the boundary of tumor growth was determined by computer simulation,the process of tumor resection and reconstructionwas simulated,and the personalized guide template was designed.During the operation,the personalized guideplate guided the precise resection of the tumor,and the allogeneic bone was trimmed to match the shape of thebone defect.Results All 11 patients underwent accurate resection of the tumor or tumor-like lesion and reconstruction ofthe hip.In eight cases,the lesion was confined to the trochanter,which was fixed with large segment allogeneicbone,autologous iliac bone,and proximal femoral anatomic plate.In three cases,allogeneic bone,autologousiliac bone,and femoral reconstruction nail were used to fix the tumor under the trochanter.Postoperative Xray examination showed that the repair and reconstruction of the bone defect was effective,and callus bridgingbetween the allogenic bone and autogenous bone was observed 6 months after operation.All patients recoveredtheir walking function 3–6 months after operation.The duration of the follow-up period ranged from 6 monthsto 6 years.A patient experienced recurrence of endochondroma;pathological examination revealed chondrocyticsarcoma.The remaining 10 patients were treated with segmental resection and reconstruction.The operationtime ranged 2.5–4.5 h(average:3.2 h).Intraoperative blood loss ranged from 300 to 500 ml(average:368 ml).The local recurrence rate was 9.1%,and the overall survival rate was 100%.The average Musculoskeletal TumorSociety score was 27(excellent and good for eight and three patients,respectively).Conclusions Three-dimensional computer skeleton modeling and simulation-assisted resection and reconstruction of femoral trochanteric tumor is a new surgical technique,which might markedly improve the surgical effect,shorten the surgical time,increase the overall survival rate of patients with tumors,reduce the local recurrencerate,assist in the digitization and programming of femoral trochanteric tumor surgery,and improve surgicalaccuracy. | Yuanhai Tu Yuanhao Peng Xinghua Wen Yuning Wang Kang Liu Kai Cheng Han Yan | 2023 | Intelligent Medicine2023,3,4: | 0 |
| 10 | Cooperative effect of Cr and Al elements on passivation enhancement of eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)with precipitates显示文摘In conventional corrosion-resistant alloys,precipitation usually reduces corrosion resistance severely by weakening passive films locally.In this work,we found that the aging-treated AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)sam-ples,which have abundant nanosized L 12 and body-centered cubic(BCC)precipitates in the lamellar face-centered cubic(FCC)and B2 phases,displayed better corrosion resistance than solution-treated AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)samples without precipitates.In the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)alloy,the FCC phase with L1_(2)precipi-tates and the B2 phase with BCC precipitates were protected by passive films enriched with Cr and Al elements,respectively.Moreover,the Al-rich passive film of the B2 phase was less stable than the Cr-rich passive film of the FCC phase,so B2 phase dissolved preferentially.The Cr-rich passive film of the FCC phase remained stable with the formation of Al-rich L1_(2)precipitates inside the phase because those precipitates with the size of∼5 nm were too small to affect the composition of the Cr-rich passive film.The formation of Cr-rich BCC precipitates within the B2 phase increased the content of the Al element inside the phase,improving the stability of Al-rich passive film on the B2 phase.Furthermore,BCC precip-itates with the size of∼30 nm were protected by Cr-rich passive film,which could inhibit the expansion of corrosion pits.Thus,the corrosion resistance of eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeN 2.1 was unprece-dentedly enhanced by the precipitation of BCC precipitates.Our study could provide an attractive strategy for designing high-entropy alloys with excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. | Xiaotian Duan Tiezhuang Han Xiao Guan Yuning Wang Huhu Su Kaisheng Ming Jing Wang Shijian Zheng | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,5: | 0 |
