1Design of sandwich-structured ZnO/ZnS/Au photoanode for enhanced efficiency of photoelectrochemical wate splitting显示文摘We developed and demonstrated a ZnO/ZnS/Au composite photoanode with significantly enhanced photoelectrochemical water-splitting performance, con- taining a ZnS interlayer and Au nanoparticles. The solar-to-hydrogen conversion efficiency of this ZnO/ZnS/Au heterostructure reached 0.21%, 3.5 times that of pristine ZnO. The comparison of the incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE) and the photoresponse in the white and visible light regions further verified that the enhancement resulted from contributions of both UV and visible light. The modification of the Au NPs was shown to improve the photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance to both UV and visible light, as modification encouraged effective surface passivation and surface-plasmon- resonance effects. The ZnS interlayer favored the movement of photogenerated electrons under UV light and hot electrons under visible light, causing their injection into ZnO; this simultaneously suppressed the electron-hole recombination at the photoanode-electrolyte interface. The optimized design of the interlayer within plasmonic metal/semiconductor composite systems, as reported here, provided a facile and compatible photoelectrode configuration, enhancing the utilization efficiency of incident light for photoelectrochemical applications.Yichong Liu Yousong Gu Xiaoqin Yan Zhuo Kang Shengnan Lu Yihui Sun Yue Zhang 2015Nano Research2015,8,9:10
2ABNORMAL MAGNETIC BEHAVIOR IN DMS ZN_(1-X)MN_XO NANOWIRES显示文摘Zn1xMnxO nanowires were synthesized through chemical vapor deposition of pure Zn and MnCl2 power mixtures on silicon substrates. The morphology, structure and composition were meas-ured by SEM, TEM, EDX and XRD. Magnetic proper-ties were measured by SQUID. The results show that the nanowires exhibit clear ferromagnetic behavior at low temperature. 5Reduction of Coercivity of Fe-N Soft Magnetic Film by Heat Treatment显示文摘200 nm thick Fe-N magnetic thin films were deposited on glass substrates by RF sputtering. The as-deposited films havehigh saturation magnetization but their coercivity is also higher than what is needed Therefore it is very important to reducecoercivity. The samples were vacuum annealed at 250℃ under 12000 A/m magnetic field. When the N content was in therange of 5~7 at. pct, the thin films consisted of α′ + α″ after heat treatment and had excellent soft magnetic properties of4rMs=2.4 T, HC <80 A/m. However, the thickness of a recording head was 2μm, andHc increased as thickness increased.In order to reduce the Hc, the sputtering power was raised from 200 W to 1000 W to reduce the grain size. 2μm Fe-N thinfilms were vacuum annealed under the same condition, when the N content was in the range of 5.9~8.5 at. pct, the thin filmskept its excellent magnetic properties of 4πMs=2.2 T, HC <80 A/m. 11Theoretical prediction and experimental realization of transition metal doped rutiles as diluted magnetic semiconductors显示文摘First principle calculations have been performed to study the electron structures and magnetic properties of tran- sition metal doped rutiles in order to predict room temperature diluted magnetic semiconductors. Different doping configu- rations have been calculated to find the preferred doping site. The ground state energies of both FM and AFM states have been calculated to study the magnetic coupling between the dopants. The calculation results show the Co doped rutile has a Curie temperature of 1438 K. Co doped rutile films have been prepared on Si substrate by magnetron sputtering. X-ray dif- fraction results show that the deposited film is rutile. 12Structural transformation of FePt nanocomposite films during annealing and its effects on magnetic properties显示文摘Fe100-xPtx(x=30at.%-60at.%) nanocomposite films were deposited on natural-oxidized Si(100) substrates by magnetron sputtering. The as-deposited films were annealed between 373 and 1073 K. In situ X-ray diffraction shows that the FePt nanocomposite films undergo a phase transformation from a disordered FCC phase to an ordered L10 phase between 673 and 773 K. The coercivity is 306 kA·m-1 whiles the average grain sizes is about 10 nm in the optimized FePt alloy film sample annealed at 673 K. 14tructure and Composition of Crystalline Carbon Nitride Films Synthesized by Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition显示文摘Crystalline carbon nitride thin films were prepared on Si (100) substrates by a microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition method, using CH4/N2 as precursor gases. The surface morphologies of the carbon nitride films deposited on Si substrate at 830℃ are consisted of hexagonal crystalline rods. The effect of substrate temperature on the formation of carbon nitrides was investigated. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis indicated that the maximum value of N/C in atomic ratio in the films deposited at a substrate temperature of 830℃ is 1 .20, which is close to the stoichiometric value of C3N4. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the films deposited at 830℃ indicates no amorphous phase in the films, which are composed of β- and α-C3N4 phase containing an unidentified C-N phase. 15Carbon Nitride Films Deposited on Pt Substrates byMicrowave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition显示文摘Carbon nitride thin films have been synthesized on polycrystalline Pt substrates using microwave plasma chemical vapor de- position (MPCVD) technique. The N/C atomic ratio is close to the stoichiometric value 1.33 of C3N4. The experimental X-ray diffraction spectra contain all the strong peaks of α-C3N4 and β -C3N4. The films are a mixture of α-C3N4 and β -C3N4. The observed Raman and FT- IR spectra support the existence of C-N covalent bond in carbon nitride compound.
