2An exploratory analysis of usability of Flickr tags for land use/land cover attribution显示文摘This study explored the land use/land cover(LULC)separability by the machine-generated and user-generated Flickr photo tags(i.e.the auto-tags and the user-tags,respectively),based on an authoritative LULC dataset for San Diego County in the United States.Ten types of LULCs were derived from the authoritative dataset.It was observed that certain types of the reclassified LULCs had abundant tags(e.g.the parks)or a high tag density(e.g.the commercial lands),compared with the less populated ones(e.g.the agricultural lands).Certain highly weighted terms of the tags derived based on a term frequency–inverse document frequency weighting scheme were helpful for identifying specific types of the LULCs,especially for the commercial recreation lands(e.g.the zoos).However,given the 10 sets of tags retrieved from the corresponding 10 types of LULCs,one set of tags(all the tags located at one specific type of the LULCs)could not fully delineate the corresponding LULC due to semantic overlaps,according to a latent semantic analysis.Yingwei Yan Michael Schultz Alexander Zipf 2019Geo-Spatial Information Science2019,22,1:4
3TSP-1 promotes glomerular mesangial cell proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion in Thy-1 nephritis rats显示文摘The proliferation of glomerular mesangial cells (GMC) and secretion of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in rat with Thy-1 nephritis (Thy-1N) resembling human mesangioproliferative glomerulonephritis have been explored for many years; however, the molecular mechanisms of GMC proliferation and ECM production remain unclear. Our previous studies have demonstrated that the thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) gene was involved in mediating rat GMC proliferation and ECM synthesis induced by sublytic C5b-9 in vitro. In the present study, the roles of the TSP-1 gene in GMC proliferation, ECM production, and urinary protein secretion in Thy-1N rats were determined by using TSP-1 small hairpin RNA, and the results revealed that silencing of the TSP-1 gene in rat renal tissues could diminish GMC proliferation (P < 0.01) and ECM secretion (P < 0.01) as well as urinary protein secretion (P < 0.05) in Thy-1N rats. 4A novel recombinant DNA vaccine encodingMycobacterium tuberculosis ESAT-6 and FL protects againstMycobacterium tuberculosis challenge in mice显示文摘Mycobacterium tuberculosis 6-kDa early secretory antigenic target(ESAT-6)is a dominant target antigen for cell-mediated immunity in the early phase of tuberculosis.The fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand(FL)that induces potent immune response has been used as an adjuvant in vaccine development.In this study,a new recombinant plasmid(pIRES-epitope-peptides-FL)encoding three T cell epitopes of ESAT-6 and FL was constructed,and the immunogenicity of the DNA vaccine was assessed in C57BL/6 mice immunized with the plasmid DNA vaccine.Additionally,a strategy of intramuscular injection with the DNA vaccine(prime)and intranasal administration of the epitope peptides(boost)was employed to induce higher immune reaction of the mice.The results showed that mice vaccinated with the recombinant plasmid DNA vaccine and boosted with the peptides not only increased the levels of Th1 cytokines(IFN-γand IL-12),the number of IFN-γ+T cells and activities of cytotoxic T lymphocytes as well as IgG,but also enhanced protection against Mycobacterium tuberculosis challenge.In conclusion,these data indicate that the novel recombinant pIRES-epitope-peptides-FL plasmid is a useful DNA vaccine for preventing Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.Qingtao Jiang Jing Zhang Xia Chen Mei Xia Yanlai Lu Wen Qiu Ganzhu Feng Dan Zhao Yan Li Fengxia He Guangyong Peng Yingwei Wang 2013The Journal of Biomedical Research2013,27,5:2

11Epidemiological Characteristics of Human Parainfluenza Viruses Infections-China,2019-2023显示文摘Introduction:A retrospective study based on sentinel surveillance was conducted in 10 provinciallevel administrative divisions(PLADs)in China to enhance the understanding of the epidemiological characteristics of human parainfluenza viruses(HPIVs).Methods:From January 2019 to June 2023,respiratory specimens were collected from individuals with acute respiratory infections(ARIs)and screened for four HPIVs serotypes and other common respiratory viruses using multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR).This study analyzed the association of HPIVs infections with seasonal patterns,geographical distribution,demographic profiles,clinical features,and co-infection status.Results:During the study period,a total of 12,866 ARIs were included.The overall detection rate of HPIVs was 6.15%,varying from 5.04%in 2022 to 9.70%in 2020.The median age of HPIVs-infected patients was 3 years.HPIV2 was more prevalent among individuals aged 5–17 years(42.57%),while HPIV4 was more common in those over 65 years(12.24%).HPIV3(54.16%)and HPIV1(27.18%)were the predominant serotypes,and their prevalence exhibited significant seasonal fluctuations postcoronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.The peak of HPIV3 shifted three months later in 2020 compared to 2019 and returned to a summer peak thereafter.Two peaks of HPIV1 were observed in 2021 following the peak of HPIV3.Additionally,coinfections were frequent in HPIVs cases(overall rate:22.12%),with human rhinovirus being the most common co-infecting virus.Conclusions:The prevalence of HPIVs in China was predominantly due to HPIV3 and HPIV1,and their seasonal patterns were altered by pandemic restrictions.Hence,continuous surveillance of HPIVs is essential.Yixuan Gao Yingwei Ma Daxing Feng Feng Zhang Biao Wang Xiaoqing Liu Bing Zhu Hui Xie Linqing Zhao Xiaoru Long Ying Chen Bing Wang Jie Jiang Zhen Zhu Yan Zhang Aili Cui Baicheng Xia Naiying Mao 2024China CDC weekly2024,6,12:0

14Synthesis of stimuli-responsive pillararene-based supramolecular polymer materials for the detection and separation of metal ions显示文摘A stimuli-responsive supramolecular polymer network(G-(CN)_(2)⊂BXDSP5)with aggregation-induced emission(AIE)properties has been efficiently constructed by host-guest interactions between pillar[5]arene derivative BXDSP5 and a homoditopic guest G-(CN)_(2),which shows not only excellent fluorescence properties due to the AIE effect but also desirable ion-sensing abilities in both solution and solid states,holding great potential in the applicable fluorescence detection for Fe^(3+).The resultant G-(CN)_(2)⊂BXDSP5 can be transformed into supramolecular polymer gel at high concentration via multiple noncovalent interactions,showing multi-stimuli-responsiveness in response to temperature change,mechanical force,and competitive agent.Meanwhile,the xerogel of supramolecular polymer material has been successfully used to remove Fe^(3+)from water with high adsorption efficiency.In addition,an ionresponsive film based on supramolecular polymer has also been developed,which can serve as a practical and convenient fluorescence test kit for detecting Fe^(3+).Yongfu Li Xinyue Lou Chunyu Wang Yan Wang Yu Jia Qi Lin Yingwei Yang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:0
