1The HDAC3 enzymatic activity regulates skeletal muscle fuel metabolism显示文摘Histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) is a major HDAC, whose enzymatic activity is targeted by small molecule inhibitors for treating a variety of conditions. However, its enzymatic activity is largely dispensable for its function in embryonic development and hepatic lipid metabolism.HDAC3 plays a pivotal role in regulating muscle fuel metabolism and contractile function. Here, we address whether these muscular functions of HDAC3 require its enzymatic activity. By mutating the NCoR/SMRT corepressors in a knock - in mouse model named NS-DADm, we ablated the enzymatic activity of HDAC3 without affecting its protein levels. Compared to the control mice, skeletal muscles from NS-DADm mice showed lower force generation, enhanced fatigue resistance, enhanced fatty acid oxidation, reduced glucose uptake during exercise, upregulated expression of metabolic genes involved in branchedchain amino acids catabolism, and reduced muscle mass during aging, without changes in the muscle fiber-type composition or mitochondrial protein content. These muscular phenotypes are similar to those observed in the HDAC3-depleted skeletal muscles, which demonstrates that, unlike that in the liver or embryonic development, the metabolic function of HDAC3 in skeletal muscles requires its enzymatic activity. 2Structure regulation for ultra-high luminescence quantum yield lanthanide complex and simultaneous detection of cancer marker and ferrous ion显示文摘The exploitation of a highly selective and sensitive probe to detect both cancer marker and metal ion is of great importance.In this work,the 'one stone two bird' agent of 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) is designed to disrupt the polymeric lanthanide MOFs(LnMOFs,[Ln(CHO_(2))_(3)]n,Ln=Tb,la;Eu,1 b,CHO_(2)=formic acid) {[Ln(CHO_(2))_(4)·(C_(2) H_(8) N)]n,Ln=Y,2 a;Gd,2 b;Dy,2 c,C_(2)H_(8) N=dimethylamine}) into a soluble mononuclear species [Ln(phen)_(2)(NO_(3))_(3),Ln=Tb,3 a;Eu,3 b] as well as to provide an antenna for efficient photons absorption,resulting in an ultra-high luminescence quantum yield(QY,90%) europium complex.The luminescence QY is among the highest record of monomeric(zero-dimensional) lanthanide complexes.Furthermore,mononuclear Tb3+complex(3 a) functions as a multiplex sensor towards both Fe^(2+)and cancer marker of 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid(5-HIAA).Importantly,the limit of detection(LOD)for sensing 5-HIAA is an ultra-sensitive value of 1 × 10 s mol/L,which is even lower than that necessary for the early diagnosis of carcinoid tumors.More interestingly,sensing results in simulated urine reveals that 3 a has potential application for early diagnosis in the clinic.Min Liu Zhifeng Li Jianhui Xiong Yefei Jiang Ting Tang Jinkai Qiu Junwei Yao Seik Weng Ng Chenghui Zeng 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10:3
3Violent offences of methamphetamine users and dilemmas of forensic psychiatric assessment显示文摘Methamphetamine(MA),an extremely addictive synthetic stimulant,has quickly spread to become the most frequently used illicit drug in China.People with a history of chronic and heavy MA use have a high possibility of exhibiting schizophrenia-like psychotic symptoms,mainly delusions of reference,auditory hallucinations and cognitive deficits.These emerging findings suggest MA use increases aggression and violence and that there is a correlation between MA use and violence.However,it is unclear how to assess the capacity of criminal responsibility in“MA-induced”psychosis and how to set clear boundaries between schizophrenia and MA-induced psychosis when only limited and inconsistent evidence is available.Furthermore,a final persuasive differential diagnostic method based on improved understanding of schizophrenia and MA-induced psychotic disorders has yet to be developed.This paper will evaluate the epidemiology,social harm,and forensic psychiatric assessment of MA users,propose a future direction for the differential diagnosis between MA-induced psychotic disorders and schizophrenia,and put forward some practical solutions to assess the capacity of criminal responsibility of defendants with drug-induced psychotic disorder.Yi Liu Bo Hao Yanwei Shi Li Xue Xiaoguang Wang Yefei Chen Hu Zhao 2017Forensic Sciences Research2017,2,1:3
4Tribological performance of hydrogenated diamond-like carbon coating deposited on superelastic 60NiTi alloy for aviation selflubricating spherical plain bearings显示文摘It is imperative to develop a novel matching of metallic substrate and self-lubricating coating for aircraft spherical plain bearing in a wide range of service conditions.As a new type of superelastic material,60NiTi alloy meets the performance requirements of aerospace bearing materials,but exhibits poor tribological performance,especially under the conditions of dry sliding friction.A Hydrogenated Diamond-Like Carbon(H-DLC)coating was deposited on the 60NiTi alloy to improve its tribological performance.The microstructure and mechanical behavior of the 60NiTi alloy and its H-DLC coating were explored.Results show that improvement of friction and wear performance of the H-DLC coating deposited on the 60NiTi substrate is mainly achieved by graphitization at the friction interface and the transfer film produced on the counterpart ball.The increased friction load leads to intensification of graphitization at the friction interface and formation of continuous and compact transfer film on the surface of the counterpart ball.Yefei ZHOU Zhihao CHEN Zhonghui HU Lei LI Qingxiang YANG Xiaolei XING 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,12:2

8Construction of surface lattice oxygen in metallic N-CuCoS1.97 porous nanowire for wearable Zn-air battery显示文摘Achieving high activity and stability oxygen evolution reaction(OER) catalysts to optimize the efficiency of metal-air battery, water splitting and other energy conversion devices, remains a formidable challenge.Herein, we demonstrate the metallic porous nanowires arrays with abundant defects via nitrogen and copper codoped CoS1.97 nanowires(N-CuCoS1.97 NWs). The N-CuCoS1.97 NWs can serve as an excellent OER self-supported electrode with an overpotential of 280 mV(j = 10 m A cm-2) and remarkable long-term stability. The X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES) and X-ray photoelectron spectrum(XPS) measurements confirmed the surface lattice oxygen created on the N-CuCoS1.97 NWs during OER. Then, the density function theory(DFT) results evident that lattice oxygen constructed surface of N-CuCoS1.97 NWs has more favorable OER energetic profiles and absorption for reaction intermediate. 13Comparison of two great Chile tsunamis in 1960 and 2010 using numerical simulation显示文摘Great differences in hazard and losses were shown from two tsunamis,both generated in Chile,one in 1960 and the other in 2010.Numerical simulation was applied to the tsunami analysis.The fault dislocation of the seafloor was assumed to equal to the initial tsunami wave field,which can be calculated by the formula of fault dislocation in the elastic isotropic half-space.The linear long wave theory was used as the tsunami hydrodynamic model,and the finite difference method and leap-frog scheme were selected for solving the equations.The accuracy of the simulated results was verified by the observed data in five tide gauges.By means of two scenario tsunamis, the analytical results show that the earthquake magnitude,bathymetry in rupture zone and rapid release of warning information in 2010 tsunami are the main explanations of the aforementioned great difference.Ruizhi Wen Yefei Ren Xiaojun Li Rong Pan 2011Earthquake Science2011,24,5:1

19Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C.
