Applications of bio-derived/bio-inspired materials in the field of interfacial solar steam generation显示文摘Interfacial solar steam generation(ISSG)system has attracted extensive attention as a sustainable desalination technology because of its cost efficiency and zero fossil-energy consumption.Aiming at optimizing the desalination properties, materials and system design have been the current research focus.Recently, many novel bio-derived/bio-inspired design strategies were proposed owing to their highly efficient structures inherited from nature, which were fine-tuned over eons of evolution,as well as their low cost and ease of treatment. In this review,we are going to systematically report recent progress of various bio-derived/bio-inspired strategies in terms of optical design, wetting, thermal management, and overall system design, presenting an overview of the current challenges of bio-inspired materials in ISSG system and other application fields. This article is intended to provide a comprehensive review of recent developments about bio-derived/bio-inspired materials in ISSG system and conclude with suggestions regarding further research directions for performance enhancement through design of bio-derived/bio-inspired materials. | Yang Geng Kai Jiao Xu Liu Peijin Ying Omololu Odunmbaku Yaoxin Zhang Swee Ching Tan Ling Li Wei Zhang Meng Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,4: | 2
Role of ethylene response factors(ERFs)in fruit ripening显示文摘The ethylene response factors(ERFs)belong to the APETALA2/ethylene response factor(AP2/ERF)superfamily and act downstream of the ethylene signalling pathway to regulate the expression of ethylene responsive genes. In different species,ERFs have been reported to be involved in plant development, flower abscission, fruit ripening, and defense responses. In this review, based on the new progress made by recent studies,we summarize the specific role and mode of action of ERFs in regulating different aspects of ripening in both climacteric and non-climacteric fruits, and provide new insights into the role of ethylene in non-climacteric fruit ripening. | Jin Gao Yaoxin Zhang Zhengguo Li Mingchun Liu | 2020 | Food Quality and Safety2020,4,1: | 1
HBeAg-negative Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Normal Alanine Aminotransferase:Wait or Treat?显示文摘Alanine aminotransferase(ALT)is a common clinical indicator of liver inflammation. The current Chinese guidelines for the management of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)recommend antiviral treatment for patients with detectable hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA and persistent ALT levels(ALTs)exceeding the upper limit of normal. However,it has been recently reported that patients with chronic HBV infection, especially HBeAg-negative patients with persistently normal ALTs,may have liver biopsy findings of significant inflammation and fibrosis. For HBeAg-negative patients with chronic HBV infection and normal ALTs,many controversial questions have been asked. To treat or not? When to initiate the treatment?Which drug is appropriate? In this review,we summarize the available data on the management of HBeAg-negative patients with chronic HBV infection and normal ALTs with the aim of improving the current clinical management. | Qiuju Sheng Ning Wang Chong Zhang Yaoxin Fan Yanwei Li Chao Han Ziyi Wang Shuqi Wei Xiaoguang Dou Yang Ding | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,5: | 1

Determination of Aspartame Content in Liquor by High Performance Liquid Chromatography显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to establish a method for the determination of aspartame in liquor by high performance liquid chromatography.[Methods]The liquor samples having volumes fixed with ultrapure water were filtered by 0.22μm water phase, and then the content of aspartame in liquor was determined by high performance liquid chromatography using methanol(A)and ultrapure water(B)as mobile phase for isocratic elution.[Results]The results showed that a good linearity was obtained for the standard curve(R^(2)=99.98%)in the method, and its quantitative limit was 5.34 mg/kg.Its recovery was 91.26%,91.92%,and 90.55%,respectively.[Conclusions]The method has high sensitivity, high recovery and low quantitative limit, and it was a suitable method for the determination of aspartame in liquor. | Zhouli ZHANG Xingyu LUO Ping YONG Lan LIAO Lili YIN Yaoxin LI Min ZHANG Da YI | 2022 | Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,2: | 0
Genome-wide characterization of the tomato GASA family identifies SlGASA1 as a repressor of fruit ripening显示文摘Gibberellins(GAs)play crucial roles in a wide range of developmental processes and stress responses in plants. However, the roles of GA-responsive genes in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)fruit development remain largely unknown. Here,we identify 17 GASA(Gibberellic Acid-Stimulated Arabidopsis)family genes in tomato. These genes encode proteins with a cleavable signal peptide at their N terminus and a conserved GASA domain at their C terminus. The expression levels of all tomato GASA family genes were responsive to exogenous GA treatment, but adding ethylene eliminated this effect.Comprehensive expression profiling of SlGASA family genes showed that SlGASA1 follows a ripening-associated expression pattern, with low expression levels during fruit ripening, suggesting it plays a negative role in regulating ripening.Overexpressing SlGASA1 using a ripening-specific promoter delayed the onset of fruit ripening, whereas SlGASA1-knockdown fruits displayed accelerated ripening.Consistent with their delayed ripening,SlGASA1-overexpressing fruits showed significantly reduced ethylene production and carotenoid contents compared to the wild type.Moreover,ripening-related genes were downregulated in SlGASA1-overexpressing fruits but upregulated in SlGASA1-knockdown fruits compared to the wild type.Yeast two-hybrid,co-immunoprecipitation,transactivation,and DNA pull-down assays indicated that SlGASA1 interacts with the key ripening regulator FRUITFULL1 and represses its activation of the ethylene biosynthesis genes ACS2 and ACO1.Our findings shed new light on the role and mode of action of a GA-responsive gene in tomato fruit ripening. | Dan Su Kaidong Liu Zhuoshu Yu Ying Li Yaoxin Zhang Yunqi Zhu Yi Wu Hongyu He Xiaodan Zeng Honglin Chen Don Grierson Heng Deng Mingchun Liu | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,1: | 0
Revealing the roles of TLR7, a nucleic acid sensor for COVID-19 in pan-cancer显示文摘Recent studies suggested that cancer was a risk factor for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7), a severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus’’s nucleic acid sensor, was discovered to be aberrantly expressed in many types of cancers. However, its expression pattern across cancers and association with COVID-19 has not been systematically studied. In this study, we proposed a computational framework to comprehensively study the roles of TLR7 in COVID-19 and pan-cancers at genetic, gene expression, protein, epigenetic, and single-cell levels. We found TLR7 mRNA expression was significantly up-regulated in 6 cancer types and down-regulated in 6 cancer types, further validated in the HPA database at the protein level. The genes significantly co-expressed with TLR7 were mainly enriched in the toll-like receptor signaling pathway, endolysosome, and signaling pattern recognition receptor activity. In addition, the abnormal TLR7 expression was associated with Mismatch repair (MMR), microsatellite instability (MSI), tumor mutational burden (TMB) in various cancers. Mined by the ESTIMATE algorithm, the expression of TLR7 was also closely linked to various immune infiltration patterns in pan-cancer, and TLR7 was mainly enriched in macrophages, as revealed by single-cell RNA sequencing. Finally, TLR7 expressions were very sensitive to a few targeted drugs, such as Alectinib and Imiquimod. In conclusion, TLR7 might be essential in the pathogenesis of COVID-19 and cancers. | Zhijian Huang Yaoxin Gao Yuanyuan Han Jingwen Yang Can Yang Shixiong Li Decong Zhou Qiuyan Huang Jialiang Yang | 2023 | Biosafety and Health2023,5,4: | 0
A Study on the Assessment and Integration of Multi-Source Evapotranspiration Products over the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Evapotranspiration(ET)is a crucial variable in the terrestrial water, carbon, and energy cycles. At present,a large number of multi source ET products exist.Due to sparse observations, however, great challenges exist in the evaluation and integration of ET products in remote and complex areas such as the Tibetan Plateau(TP).In this paper, the applicability of the multiple collocation(MC)method over the TP is evaluated for the first time, and the uncertainty of multisource ET products(based on reanalysis, remote sensing, and land surface models)is further analyzed, which provides a theoretical basis for ET data fusion. The results show that 1)ET uncertainties quantified via the MC method are lower in RS-based ET products(5.95 vs.7.06 mm month^(-1))than in LSM ET products(10.22 vs.17.97 mm month^(-1))and reanalysis ET estimates(7.27 vs.12.26 mm month-1).2)A multisource evapotranspiration(MET)dataset is generated at a monthly temporal scale with a spatial resolution of 0.25°across the TP during 2005-15.MET has better performance than any individual product.3)Based on the fusion product, the total ET amount over the TP and its patterns of spatiotemporal variability are clearly identified. The annual total ET over the entire TP is approximately 380.60 mm.Additionally,an increasing trend of 1.59±0.85 mm yr^(-1)over the TP is shown during 2005-15.This study provides a basis for future studies on water and energy cycles and water resource management over the TP and surrounding regions. | Ming CHENG Lei ZHONG Yaoming MA Han MA Yaoxin CHANG Peizhen LI Meilin CHENG Xian WANG Nan GE | 2024 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2024,41,3: | 0
