| 2 | Satellite-observed trends in the Arctic sea ice concentration for the period 1979–2016显示文摘Arctic sea ice cover has decreased dramatically over the last three decades. This study quanti?es the sea ice concentration(SIC) trends in the Arctic Ocean over the period of 1979–2016 and analyzes their spatial and temporal variations. During each month the SIC trends are negative over the Arctic Ocean, wherein the largest(smallest) rate of decline found in September(March) is-0.48%/a(-0.10%/a).The summer(-0.42%/a) and autumn(-0.31%/a) seasons show faster decrease rates than those of winter(-0.12%/a) and spring(-0.20%/a) seasons. Regional variability is large in the annual SIC trend. The largest SIC trends are observed for the Kara(-0.60%/a) and Barents Seas(-0.54%/a), followed by the Chukchi Sea(-0.48%/a), East Siberian Sea(-0.43%/a), Laptev Sea(-0.38%/a), and Beaufort Sea(-0.36%/a). The annual SIC trend for the whole Arctic Ocean is-0.26%/a over the same period. Furthermore, the in?uences and feedbacks between the SIC and three climate indexes and three climatic parameters, including the Arctic Oscillation(AO), North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO), Dipole anomaly(DA), sea surface temperature(SST), surface air temperature(SAT), and surface wind(SW), are investigated. Statistically, sea ice provides memory for the Arctic climate system so that changes in SIC driven by the climate indices(AO, NAO and DA) can be felt during the ensuing seasons. Positive SST trends can cause greater SIC reductions, which is observed in the Greenland and Barents Seas during the autumn and winter. In contrast, the removal of sea ice(i.e., loss of the insulating layer) likely contributes to a colder sea surface(i.e., decreased SST), as is observed in northern Barents Sea. Decreasing SIC trends can lead to an in-phase enhancement of SAT, while SAT variations seem to have a lagged in?uence on SIC trends. | 3 | Effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction on Helicobacter pylori-related peptic ulcers and its possible mechanism via the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction(BXD) on Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-related peptic ulcers(PUs) and the possible mecha-nism underlying BXD actions via the transforming growth factor-β/small mothers against decapentaplegic(TGF-β/Smad) signaling pathway.METHODS: PU patients with cold-heat complex syndrome were randomly assigned to groups that received Chinese or Western medicines with 20 patients in each group. Serum was collected after 7 d of treatment. The healthy group included 20 individuals. Gastric mucosal epithelial cell line GES-1 was cultured in vitro and randomly divided into the following seven groups: control, model, healthy,Western Medicine, prior treatment, low dosage,and high dosage. After 72 h of treatment with the corresponding serum, the m RNA and protein expression levels of TGF-β1, Smad3, and Smad7 were measured by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting, respectively.RESULTS: The m RNA expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad3 in GES-1 cells were increased after Hp introduction, and these increased levels were reduced by the BXD-containing serum. The protein levels of p-Smad3, but not TGF-β1 or Smad3, were significantly increased in Hp-treated GES-1 cells,and treatment with the BXD-containing serum markedly decreased the protein levels. | 9 | Altered serous levels of monoamine neurotransmitter metabolites in patients with refractory and non-refractory depression显示文摘The study examined plasma metabolite changes of monoamine neurotransmitters in patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and non-TRD before and after therapy. All 30 TRD and 30 non-TRD patients met the diagnostic criteria for a depressive episode in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision. Before treatment, and at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after treatment, the plasma metabolite products of monoamine neurotransmitters in TRD group, including 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid, 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl ethylene glycol and homovanillic acid, were significantly lower than those in the non-TRD group. After two types of anti-depressive therapy with 5-serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, combined with psychotherapy, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale scores were significantly reduced in both groups of patients, and the serous levels of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid and 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl ethylene glycol were significantly increased. In contrast, the homovanillic acid level exhibited no significant change. | 14 | Exploring the mechanism of Ta_(3)N_(5)/KTaO_(3) photocatalyst for overall water splitting by first-principles calculations显示文摘The rational fabrication of heterostructures is one of efficient strategies for improving photocatalytic performance of semiconductor photocatalysts.Very recently,Domen and co-workers found that Ta_(3)N_(5) single crystals grown on the surface of KTaO_(3) can accomplish photocatalytic overall water splitting for the first time.In order to comprehend the underlying mechanism of this photocatalytic system,we have performed a systematic study based on density functional theory first-principles calculations.Ta_(3)N_(5)(010)/KTaO_(3)(110)slab models have been built according to experimental observations by considering two common terminations of KTaO_(3)(110)surface,named as Ta_(3)N_(5)/O_(2) and Ta_(3)N_(5)/KTaO.The formations of interfacial bonds are thermodynamically stable,showing a covalent interaction between two components of a heterostructure.Ta_(3)N_(5)/O_(2) has a higher mobility of photogenerated charge carriers and lower recombination rate of charge carriers than Ta_(3)N_(5)/KTaO.The light absorption of heterostructures displays the feature of KTaO_(3) in the short wavelength region and the characteristic of Ta_(3)N_(5) in the long wavelength region.The calculated band offsets show that Ta_(3)N_(5)/O_(2) and Ta_(3)N_(5)/KTaO have distinct Type-II band alignments,with Ta_(3)N_(5) as the accumulator of photoinduced electrons in the former and the collector of photogenerated holes in the latter,respectively.The difference in charge density and electrostatic potential between two components acts as a driving force to promote the transfer of electrons and holes to different domains of the interface,which is beneficial to extend the lifetime of photoinduced carriers.Our results demonstrate that the function of Ta_(3)N_(5) in Ta_(3)N_(5)/KTaO_(3) photocatalytic system is determined by the termination property of KTaO_(3)(110)surface,which provides a likely reason of the observed photocatalytic activity of overall water splitting achieved by Ta_(3)N_(5) synthesized by using KTaO_(3) as a precursor for the nitridation reaction. | Yanxia Ma Yumeng Fo Miaomiao Wang Xixi Liang Hao Dong Xin Zhou | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5: | 0 |
| 15 | Temporal Trends of Maternal Mortality Due to Obstetric Hemorrhage in Chinese Mainland: Evidence from the Population-Based Surveillance Data Between 2000 and 2019显示文摘Objective:To analyze the temporal trends of maternal mortality ratio(MMR)due to obstetric hemorrhage and its specific causes in Chinese mainland from 2000 to 2019,to identify whether the rate of change has accelerated or slowed down during this period,and to find the prior cause of obstetric hemorrhage that needs to be intervened in the future.Methods:Individual information on maternal deaths and total number of live births from 336 surveillance sites across 31 provinces in Chinese mainland was collected from the National Maternal and Child Health Surveillance System between 2000 and 2019.Maternal death was defined according to the World Health Organization’s criterion.The final underlying cause of death was confirmed by the national review and was coded according to International Classification of Diseases-10.Linear trends for changes in characteristics of maternal deaths were assessed using linear or logistic models with the year treated as a continuous variable.The MMR and 95%confidence intervals(CI)for regions or causes were estimated by Poisson’s distribution.Joinpoint regression was used to assess the accurate temporal patterns.Results:The national MMR due to obstetric hemorrhage was 18.4 per 100,000 live births(95%CI:15.0–22.2)in 2000.It peaked in 2001(22.1 per 100,000 live births,95%CI:18.3–26.4)and was lowest in 2019(1.6 per 100,000 live births,95%CI:1.0–2.3).For specific regions,the MMR due to obstetric hemorrhage in rural areas and western regions both experienced a slight rise,followed by a rapid decline,and then a slow decline.For specific causes,no change point was found in joinpoint analysis of the national MMR caused by placenta previa,postpartum uterine atony,and retained placenta(the annual percent change was12.0%,10.5%,and21.0%,respectively).The MMR caused by postpartum hemorrhages(PPH)significantly declined by 8.0%(95%CI:1.9–13.6)per year from 2000 to 2007.The annual percent change of MMR caused by PPH accelerated further to25.0%between 2007 and 2011,and then decreased to7.8%between 2011 and 2019.The proportion of maternal deaths due to antepartum hemorrhages increased from 7.6%(8/105)in 2000 to 14.3%(4/28)in 2019.The changes in the proportion of causes were different for maternal deaths due to PPH.The proportion of postpartum uterine atony increased from 39.0%(41/105)in 2000 to 60.7%(17/28)in 2019,and the proportion of uterine rupture also increased from 12.3%(13/105)in 2000 to 14.3%(4/28)in 2019.However,the proportion of retained placenta decreased from 37.1%(39/105)in 2000 to 7.1%(2/28)in 2019.Conclusion:Over the last 20 years,the intervention practice in China has proved that targeted interventions are beneficial in reducing the MMR due to obstetric hemorrhage.However,the MMR has reached a plateau and is likely to increase for some specific causes such as uterine rupture.China needs to develop more effective interventions to reduce maternal deaths due to obstetric hemorrhage,especially for postpartum uterine atony and uterine rupture. | Yi Mu Jun Zhu Yanping Wang Jiani Zhang Mingrong Li Peiran Chen Yanxia Xie Juan Liang Xiaodong Wang | 2022 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Shape retrieval by using multi-scale anglebased representation and dynamic label propagation显示文摘To improve the robustness and discrimination power of the triangle-area representation,a novel shape matching method based on multi-scale angle representation is proposed in this study.By analysing the configurations of different sample points from each shape contour,shape descriptors are constructed by using space angles at different scale levels.With the proposed shape representation,the multi-scale information of shape contours is efficiently described,and the dynamic programming is further used to determine the correspondence between samples from different shapes and calculate the shape distance in the feature matching step.Moreover,to improve the shape retrieval results based on pairwise shape distances,the dynamic label propagation is introduced as the post-processing step.Unlike previous distance learning methods learning the database manifold implicitly,the authors method retrieves relative objects on the shortest paths from near to far explicitly,and the underlying structure can be effectively captured.The proposed method tested on different shape databases provides the performances superior to many other methods,and it can be applied to visual data processing and understanding of the internet of things. | Yanxia Yu Danchen Zheng Liang Zhao Chuang Sun Xiang Li Yan Zhuang | 2020 | IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2020,2,4: | 0 |
| 19 | Ultrastable graphene isolated Au Ag nanoalloy for SERS biosensing and photothermal therapy of bacterial infection显示文摘Plasmonic metal nanomaterials with intrinsic surface–enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)and photothermal properties,especially AuAg nanoalloys with both the outstanding merits of Au and Ag nanocrystals,show huge application prospects in bacterial theranostics.However,the direct exposure of AuAg nanoalloys in external conditions probably cause undesirable reactions and poisonous metal ion leakage during SERS detection and photothermal antibacterial therapy process,which severely hinder bacterial theranostics applications.Herein,we report an ultrastable graphene–isolated AuAg nanoalloy(GAA)with AuAg core confined in few–layer graphitic shell as a versatile platform for bacterial detection and therapy.The encapsulation of graphene ensures the good stability of AuAg core,that its superior SERS and photothermal properties are therefore further guaranteed.GAA is used for SERS detection of two vital bacterial biomarkers(including corrosive cyanide and pyocyanin),exhibiting good SERS quantitative and multiplexing ability.GAA is further used for photothermal antibacterial therapy application,and ultrahigh antibacterial efficacies for both Gram–negative Escherichia coli and Gram–positive Staphylococcus aureus are achieved under 808 nm laser irradiation.This work proposes a valuable method to develop robust bacterial theranostic platform. | Shengkai Li Zhiyang Li Qing Hao Shen Wang Yanxia Yang Jieqiong Xu Zhiwei Yin Liang Zhang Zhuo Chen | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3: | 0 |
