1CO flux of soil respiration in natural recovering karst abandoned farmland in Southwest China显示文摘To estimate carbon sequestration potential in the karst area,soil respiration in a natural recovering karst abandoned farmland in Shawan,Puding,Guizhou,southwest China was continuously and automatically monitored for more than two years.The results show that the CO2flux of soil respiration(2.63±1.89 lmol m^-2s-^1)is higher in the karst area than in non-karst areas under similar conditions but that regional value(1.32 lmol m-2s-1)is lower because of larger rock fragment coverage(~50%).A the same time,the temperature sensitivity of soil respiration(Q10)in this study area is significantly higher than that of non-karst areas under similar conditions.Soil respiration has an obvious temporal variation,which is reflected in a significant exponential relationship between soil respiration and soil temperature,but the relationship between soil respiration and soil moisture is very complex.Especially soil respiration has an obvious spatial variation,which is likely affected by different diffusion or water-rock reaction processes.Yanwei Wang Weijun Luo Guangneng Zeng Hanling Yang Meifang Wang Yina Lyu Anyun Cheng Lin Zhang Xianli Cai Jia Chen Shijie Wang 2020Acta Geochimica2020,39,4:2
2Comparative population genomics dissects the genetic basis of seven domestication traits in jujube显示文摘Jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)is an important perennial fruit tree with a range of interesting horticultural traits.It was domesticated from wild jujube(Ziziphus acidojujuba),but the genomic variation dynamics and genetic changes underlying its horticultural traits during domestication are poorly understood.Here,we report a comprehensive genome variation map based on the resequencing of 350 accessions,including wild,semi-wild and cultivated jujube plants,at a>15×depth.Using the combination of a genome-wide association study(GWAS)and selective sweep analysis,we identified several candidate genes potentially involved in regulating seven domestication traits in jujube.For fruit shape and kernel shape,we integrated the GWAS approach with transcriptome profiling data,expression analysis and the transgenic validation of a candidate gene to identify a causal gene,ZjFS3,which encodes an ethyleneresponsive transcription factor.Similarly,we identified a candidate gene for bearing-shoot length and the number of leaves per bearing shoot and two candidate genes for the seed-setting rate using GWAS.In the selective sweep analysis,we also discovered several putative genes for the presence of prickles on bearing shoots and the postharvest shelf life of fleshy fruits.This study outlines the genetic basis of jujube domestication and evolution and provides a rich genomic resource for mining other horticulturally important genes in jujube.Mingxin Guo Zhongren Zhang Yanwei Cheng Sunan Li Peiyin Shao Qiang Yu Junjie Wang Gan Xu Xiaotian Zhang Jiajia Liu Linlin Hou Hanxiao Liu Xusheng Zhao 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2

4A digital microfluidic system with 3D microstructures for single-cell culture显示文摘Despite the precise controllability of droplet samples in digital microfluidic(DMF)systems,their capability in isolating single cells for long-time culture is still limited:typically,only a few cells can be captured on an electrode.Although fabricating small-sized hydrophilic micropatches on an electrode aids single-cell capture,the actuation voltage for droplet transportation has to be significantly raised,resulting in a shorter lifetime for the DMF chip and a larger risk of damaging the cells.In this work,a DMF system with 3D microstructures engineered on-chip is proposed to form semi-closed micro-wells for efficient single-cell isolation and long-time culture.Our optimum results showed that approximately 20%of the micro-wells over a 30×30 array were occupied by isolated single cells.In addition,low-evaporation-temperature oil and surfactant aided the system in achieving a low droplet actuation voltage of 36V,which was 4 times lower than the typical 150 V,minimizing the potential damage to the cells in the droplets and to the DMF chip.To exemplify the technological advances,drug sensitivity tests were run in our DMF system to investigate the cell response of breast cancer cells(MDA-MB-231)and breast normal cells(MCF-10A)to a widely used chemotherapeutic drug,Cisplatin(Cis).The results on-chip were consistent with those screened in conventional 96-well plates.This novel,simple and robust single-cell trapping method has great potential in biological research at the single cell level.Jiao Zhai Haoran Li Ada Hang-Heng Wong Cheng Dong Shuhong Yi Yanwei Jia Pui-In Mak Chu-Xia Deng Rui PMartins 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:0
5Transcriptome Profiling of Flower Development Reveals Key Genes Mediating Yellow Formation in Tree Peony显示文摘Tree peony cultivars with yellow flowers are rare and valuable,but the molecular mechanism of pigment accumulation is not clear.In this study,the petal transcriptome of three developmental stages were sequenced to determine the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)regulating yellow flowers color.The results showed that 10,842 and 12,022 DEGs were screened in stage 1 vs.stage 2 and in stage 2 vs.stage 3,respectively.Through analysis of flavonoid structural genes(FSGs),we found that the transcription level of DFR was very low in the three developmental stages.In a small group of cultivars,the DFR transcription level of red flowers was 862 times higher than that of yellow flowers.These data suggested that the flavonoid pathway is interrupted in the later stage due to the low transcriptional level of DFR,which limits the biosynthesis of anthocyanins in yellow flowers.The transcription levels of F3’H and FLS were upregulated from stage 1 to stage 2,while those of CHI and FLS were downregulated from stage 2 to stage 3.In addition,67 MYBs and 44 bHLHs showed similar transcription profiles with different members of FSGs.The results deepen our understanding of the molecular mechanism of yellow pigment accumulation in tree peony.Yanzhao Zhang Chenyang Yu Xi Lu Yanwei Cheng 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,11:0
6Strong Anisotropic Order Parameters at All-Nitride Ferromagnet/Superconductor Interfaces显示文摘Proximity effects between superconductors and ferromagnets(SC/FM)hold paramount importance in comprehending the spin competition transpiring at their interfaces.This competition arises from the interplay between Cooper pairs and ferromagnetic exchange interactions.The proximity effects between transition metal nitrides(TMNs)are scarcely investigated due to the formidable challenges of fabricating high-quality SC/FM interfaces.We fabricated heterostructures comprising SC titanium nitride(TiN)and FM iron nitride(Fe_(3)N)with precise chemical compositions and atomically well-defined interfaces.The magnetoresistance of Fe_(3)N/TiN heterostructures shows a distinct magnetic anisotropy and strongly depends on the external perturbations.Moreover,the superconducting transition temperatureT_(C) and critical field of TiN experience notable suppression when proximity to Fe_(3)N.We observe the intriguing competition of interfacial spin orientations near��T_(C)(∼1.25 K).These findings not only add a new materials system for investigating the interplay between superconductor and ferromagnets,but also potentially provide a building block for future research endeavors and applications in the realms of superconducting spintronic devices.Qiao Jin Meng Yang Guozhu Song Nan Zhao Shengru Chen Haitao Hong Ting Cui Dongke Rong Qianying Wang Yiyan Fan Chen Ge Can Wang Jiachang Bi Yanwei Cao Liusuo Wu Shanmin Wang Kui-Juan Jin Zhi-Gang Cheng Er-Jia Guo 2024Chinese Physics Letters2024,41,2:0
7Effects of Natural Brassinolide on Seed Germination and Hypocotyl Elongation of Beans显示文摘Seeds of soybeans and mung beans were soaked into five different concentrations( 0,0. 05,0. 10,0. 20,0. 30 mg / L) of natural brassinolide( NBR)solution. According to the results,natural brassinolide treatment could improve seed germination rate and hypocotyl-radicle ratio of soybeans and mung beans and promote the growth of sprouts.
